How to make money blogging? -

how do I get traffic to my blogging site?

according to ehow,Step 1First, I want to explain that I ve found blogging to be like any other business. The good news is it takes practically no overhead--a person could even start it from a public library if they have no extra income to invest into it.To balance that out however, if you want to be successful you re going to have to put a lot of your effort and energy into it. That includes educating yourself, developing your writing, and being patient enough to let the results arrive. Unlike a job, this will be irregular income, but it at least has the potential to grow to more than you could make at a job.Step 2There are several websites out there that offer free blogs, but my current favorite is Blogger.com. When your income reaches the point where it makes sense, you can get your own domain name and hosting very inexpensively. You don t have to pay any money however to start making an income from affiliates such as Google Adsense, Amazon, and eBay. I looked at it from the point of view of getting the blog to pay for itself and then grow it from there.Step 3Also like traditional businesses, niche areas are generally good things. If you re an expert in a certain field or passionate about a certain topic or hobby, people out there may value what you know. It doesn t mean you have to limit yourself, but keeping the theme or topic of a blog consistent will help readers know what to expect. Then just use different blogs.Step 4Marketing helps as well. Talk to people about what you do. Have your blog in your e-mail signature and on business cards. If you interact a lot in your niche area, it s not difficult to find people of similar interests who would like to keep up with your blog. Again, just start small and work your way into it.If you are looking to generate more traffic, ehow has these tips:Step 1Post regularly, the search engines like blogs that are continually adding new quality content. Try to add new content to your blog three times per day. If there is not enough time for that then try to at least post at least one time per day.Step 2Whatever platform you are using, you will need to add keywords when writing a new post. Add keywords about your posting so that search engines will have a better idea of what your blog or posting is about and your post will rank higher in the search engines.Step 3Get good quality inbound links. What this means is writing for article sites and at the end of your article putting a link back to your blog. There are many great article sites out there. Just Google article sites and find great sites that you can write for. Besides getting that inbound link many people go to article sites to get fresh content for their blog and may use your article on their site which will give you even more inbound links.Step 4Comment on other peoples blogs and leave a link back to your blog. You will want to leave a thoughtful comment though. Don t just leave a link to your blog, this can be really annoying and will be considered spam.Step 5Use Yahoo Answers to answer some questions. Besides helping people out by answering their questions you can leave a link back to your blog which will help generate more traffic.Step 6Use social sites to generate traffic. Myspace is not the only social site, there are many and if you use these sites right they can help you generate traffic to your blog. Make as many friends as possible. Generally, the more friends you have, the more internal links you have planted somewhere in the site, giving you more authority in the eyes of the site.Step 7Use Link Exchange sites. Just Google link exchange sites and you will find sites that will help you exchange links with other blogs. You might have to pay a small fee to join their link exchange network but it may well be worth it and a small price to pay for the traffic that will be generated to your blog.Step 8Use traffic exchange sites. Just Google traffic exchange sites and you will find sites that will help you exchange traffic with other blogs. The way these sites is simple. Basically for every two or three blogs you visit, some one else will visit your blog. Using traffic exchange sites is a great way to generate traffic!Step 9Submit your blog to blog directories. They will categorize your blog and your blog will ping their servers anytime you update your blog with new content.Step 10There are many other great ways to promote your blog such as word of mouth, print advertising and many others. The tips above should give you a basic start in building traffic to your blog. Remember the most important thing though is good, new, high quality content to your blog. Google loves it!

What kind of buissnesses do you want? -

I have a project in school where i must create an online buissness. I am wondering what kind of buissness you think the world needs more of. Just a basic buissness, but what should i sell/do i am just looking for suggestions :)all answers appreciated!

Try to find a suitable household item that you can sell. Something that is not too expensive and that would note cost too much to deliver.

Looking for a legit low cost work from home business? -

I am a stay at home mom and military wife looking to start my own business from home. I do not have a lot of money to put out and I am looking for something legit. I have 3 kids and want to be able to stay at home with them.

Many thanks to your spouse and yourself for your sacrifice in your service. Thank you.I would love to help you. I work with a company that I found after three years of on and off research, they have almost 25 yrs in the business, and they have a number of BBB awards. Free training and support is included. Thousands of people work with them to improve their families lives. If you are interest in learning more, send me an email and I will forward you the contact information.Again, thank you for your sacrifice, and your serviceGood luck,Guard5a

I am mom of 4 boys who is working from home with a 24 yr. old, debt free wellness company (which has earned a couple of awards from the BBB) and I love it!! I am passionate about this company as is giving me the opportunity to make extra money, get healthier products in my home, and help others reach their own goals. It s very satisfying and rewarding, AND a great investment because you are making RESIDUAL income! I KNOW with all my heart that I will be a lifetime team member! Partnering with this company does NOT involve selling products, purchasing inventory/samples, or going door-to-door---nothing like that! When you get started, you get a free web site, free training, and amazing ongoing support! It doesn t cost much to get started (a very reasonable amount to start your own business). It is not a get rich quick scheme...you have to take some time to build your business but you can make a pretty significant income over time! I love the fact that this is legit business, with very ethical and moral business practices, that thrives on helping people reach their goals! If you d like to learn more, jot me a quick email and/or send your phone #, and I ll get back to you ASAP! :-)

Should I start a jewelry business? -

I really enjoy making swarovski crystal jewelry and I am thinking about selling my work. http://freeonlinesurveys.com/rendersurve^ that is a survey I have created in order to collect data that will help me figure out what the public wants. Please answer truthfully! IF you have any other opinions or advice don t hesitate to leave an answer :).

Have you researched starting a jewelry business? It is best to get advice from those already in the business. There are a few ebooks on the subject that may get you going in the right direction. Good Luck

I think you should absolutely start your own jewelry business. It s something you love to do and why not make some money off of it? I work at a retail store and we just added a whole jewelry room . Even in this tough economy, people are still buying expensive jewelry, so as long as you market yourself, you will do great!Great ideas with the survey by the way... :-)

Is Melaleuca a scam or a good opportunity? -

Tori has a valid point in her opinion but I m not sure of what her standpoint was on her background with the company products or the compensation plan. I started as a customer for the value and quality of the products and I began marketing their products/membership enrollment by sharing the same value myself and many others were experiencing with Melaleuca. Just as if you had eaten a meal at a quality restaurant or seen a fantastic movie and told someone else about it, that does not mean you are selling the meal or the movie. After all, have either of these entities ever sent you a check for sending their venue business?? Nevertheless, I continue to share with everyone I know the environmentally friendly products that make a big difference for the future of my children and at the end of every month my family receives a commission check from Melaleuca as a thank you for the referrals of customers who choose to shop with them as a result, you just can beat that; I ve never received a check from any of those corporations that I sent people to buy products from or have spent tens of thousands at myself. As I am a fully trained Eco-Consultant I pride myself on knowing what products will and will not take away from the quality of life for my family and I will always try to share knowledge with others who indeed are seeking a higher quality of life through their buying power and business ventures. I encourage you to do your due diligence in making any business decision, but I can assure you that I have done mine and for me there is no better company out there offering such an outstanding opportunity. If I can help you in any way with questions concerning Melaleuca and enrolling from the comfort of your own home, please don t hesitate to ask. The company is offering an awesome enrollment special until the 22nd so let me know when your ready to start saving money on great products with a great company. Christian email: acd@sc.rr.com

Any opportunity can be a good one if it is the right opportunity for you. When considering any business, it helps to find a company and products that you will use yourself and be able to talk enthusiastically about to market to others. Check out the compensation plan and see if the profit margin/commission you will earn will provide the income you want within 3 to 5 years. How many items will you need to sell each month to reach that goal and is it realistic?I know that Melaleuca prides itself on promoting the idea that there is no selling involved, but that seems misleading. With any business, you must market (AKA sell ) and promote products or services by advertising or telling people about them. To make money in any business, someone must buy something, so if you are telling or sharing information with people about a product and you earn money when someone you talked to makes a purchase I think most people would consider it selling .You may also want to consider if the marketing methods allowed will fit what you want to do to create your customer base. Melaleuca used to be very restrictive in the marketing methods they would allow. They may have loosened up a bit. Personally, I was put off by having such limited options and by having everything so mysterious and secret.Good luck no matter what you decide to do.

Creative Ideas On How to Make Some Money? -

I m a college student and I have found it nearly impossible to get any sort of employment. My bank account is nearly empty because I can t find any ways to make any money. I thought i d post this and see if we could find some creative ideas on how to make some spending money and such. Go for it.

1. Step 1 Write effectively for eHow.com. This one may seem obvious, but take a closer look at the previous sentence - there s an emphasis on effectively. If you make the effort to learn from the eHow experiences of experts you ll save yourself a tremendous amount of time and dramatically increase your earnings. 2. Step 2 Design t-shirts. CafePress is a company that will allow you to submit t-shirt designs (funny phrases, pictures, etc.) at no cost to you and if a t-shirt design of yours sells you ll receive a portion of that sale. A perfect no overhead business for creative people. (A link to this website is provided in the Resources Section.) 3. Step 3 Blog about something that interests you. This is completely free and can be both a work at home revenue stream and a fun creative outlet or way to keep in touch with friends. Setting up a blog is extremely easy today. If you can manage an email account (or an eHow.com account) then you can manage a Blogger (Google s blog service) account. Once your blog is up and running apply for Google AdSense to monetize your blog without having to sell a product. 4. Step 4 Sell tickets. Reselling tickets for sporting events and concerts can be a fun and profitable business that you can run out of your house. Thanks to websites like Stubhub.com and eBay you can now sell tickets for events all over the country. Visit PresaleToday.com to find out in advance when popular events are taking place and also find valuable presale passwords for free. 5. Step 5 Sell books. Amazon.com is a great place to sell used books that you already have at your house, find at a yard sale, or find any number of other ways. When I was a college student I found that professors had tremendous amounts of unused textbooks that were free for the taking. Redistributing books online is a great way to share knowledge in a way that s most affordable for the purchaser and profitable for the seller. 6. Step 6 Sell your photos. Visit Big Stock Photo where you submit photos (or artwork) for other people to buy/download. When your pictures are purchased you split a portion of the sale with Big Stock Photo. You can make between 50 cents and $3.00 per download.

Ive always been told to work hard and success will follow, but Im starting to doubt? -

I ve been conditioned to think that the only way to succeed is to continually sacrifice for the future. I believed this wholeheartedly. I m now a junior in college with many internships in business and a competitive GPA at the expense of social life and a devotion to friends and family. I ve often heard that its not healthy to dedicate so much to time to education and work but I ve also heard that to be a player in the field of business it best to work exceptionally hard now and reap the benefits later. I realized that the future hasn t come yet!! I cant figure out why I m working so hard for the possibility of professional success and the likelihood of more hours for higher pay. I need your advice, for those of you who have entered the work force was it worth the past struggles, that is if you had a struggle. Should i focus more on the present and enjoy my life now or focus on the future and dedicate the present toward that?I guess what I m really trying to figure out is if i should continue the sacrifice of time, is it really worth it?

First your have to define what does success mean to you. If it means having materialistic things, a big house, 3 car garage and a BMW in the driveway then yes you will have to work hard, eat crow and put in 45 - 70 hours a week for a good 7 - 10 years of your career. On the other hand if success to you means working a job you LOVE and making a modest income ($40,000) and having a family then you can achieve that without the grind. When I was 19, I thought success meant a big house, BMW and nice materialistic stuff. I busted my butt in school and went to graduate school while working full time (in my career of choice). I moved to different states every 3 years climbing the corporate ladder and I got the big house, 3 car garage, BMW, international vacations and tons of materialistic crap. 11 years into the career I started noticing the next career promotion was to VP ... unfortunately all of the VP s were in their 40 s and either divorced, in failed marriages/relationships and barren with no kids. They worked in their offices until 11pm because they didn t have any family or friends outside of work to go home to. I knew that s NOT what I wanted for my future, regardless of the prestige or the salary.People can say that I m crazy to have left a six figure job with such wonderful perks - all I can say is that it is a lot of stress and a lot of hours put in at the office. At some point the money didn t matter anymore. I m a social butterfly and I get irritated when I don t have time to enjoy hobbies and be with family and friends.Despite my disdain for the corporate world,To answer your question, I don t regret it. Yes you should work hard now since you are young but set goals for yourself. If you save and invest wisely you will be able to leave the grind in 10 years and then go off to do what you want. Life is about experiences and it s okay to change careers. The average person changes careers 3-4x s in their life. Just make sure you have a good friend or family member that you can talk to when times get tough, you always need at least one person who can keep you grounded. Be wise about your purchases, invest as much as you can early on and don t run yourself into debt.

fine - quit college and see what kind of a job you get - you want fries with that burger ???stay in school - concentrate on stduying - I wish I had taken school more seriously when I was in - I played a little more than I should have and it greatly affected my early post college careerno one says you have to study 10 hrs a day, 7 days a week, but studying MUST come first

You need to create a balance as all this sacrifice and you have nothing leftI have friends that have worked day and night and all he has is money in the bankI have worked day and night have amazing stories and experiences and no money in the banktry some middle ground

You are young. Many entrepreneurs have to work hard and sacrifice for DECADES before enjoying success. Hard work and sacrifice will pay off, but it may not happen as soon as you would hope. What are your options? I guess you can choose not to work hard, slack off on your studies and go out with your friends every night. However, I can guarantee you will not be successful if you go that route. Stick with it and you will be successful. I can t tell you how long it will take, but I can guarantee you will enjoy success one day!

Are there any real ways to get grants for small business start-ups? -

I am trying to start a small business and I am trying to look into grants for funding. With the state of the economy being what it is, are there still small business grants out there? How can one obtain the information about them without going through the bogus sites on the internet?

There is only one web site run by the Federal government to apply to grants - http://www.grants.govBe advised, there are no grants to start a business, personal financial assistance, pay off your debt, etc. Go to the web site and see for yourself.

Check out The Small Business Administration (http://www.sba.gov/). This site will be your go-to site for understanding what is needed to start your own business. They provide instructions, guidelines and resources to get your business up and running.I know the thought of opening up a small business may be in its very early stages, but you may want to check out or bookmark this site, http://www.l-trondirect.com/ once you get it up and running. My friend recently opened up a small retail store in town and he was looking for barcode scanners to track his inventory and purchasing point-of-purchase equipment, like those electronic signature pads you find at many stores near the checkout. This site was a huge help when it came to equipping the store to manage the product sold, capturing payment methods of his customers and whatnot. You may find this site useful in time.Best of luck to you!

i have the same problem

What can I do when I havent received my deposit back from an Owners Direct property owner? -

I rented a spanish villa for a week a few weeks ago from Owners Direct. I have never had a problem before with anyone from there, however, this time the owner doesnt seem to want to give me my deposit back. We agreed that she would as the property was left in perfect condition. On her website she says it will be returned within a week of vacating the property. In the first week she said we would have it by the weekend, this time passed and she said we would have it the following weekend and when this weekend passed she said we would definitaly have by Monday. Its now Thursday and no sign of it. She has told me there was a death in the family, then that she was working in a town that didnt have my bank in it. But its nearly 3 weeks now and these excuses do not fit anymore. I have emailed owners direct but as of yet they havent responded so i thought i would ask if anyone else has had this problem and what they did? I wrote her one final email on Tuesday saying i m sorry, but if we dont receive it by Friday - tomorrow, that we would have no other alternative than to take further action to retrieve the deposit. So when tomorrow comes and the money is not in my account, what can i do?

Maybe you can get an answer here -http://www.expatforum.com/expats/spain-e Difficult, if not subject to UK law. The cost of pursuing legal action might be more than it is worth. The least you could do, is report this to Owners Direct - maybe they will strike her off their list.

Small business taxation (USA)? -

With a business partner, we own an LLC in a different state than the one we are currently residing in. Would this create any complications or cause additional cost when filing our individual tax returns?

I am not a tax consultant. I think you have to fill out your business taxes in one state and your personal taxes in the other state. If you only fill out one set of taxes, then you have to pay taxes to both states for everything. You should hire someone anyways if you own a business. They will remind you of more tax write-off s than you knew existed and the laws change every year, so in the long run, it is better for you. If you ever get audited, then you will be prepared.

Yep Xtal is right, you should hire someone if you own a business. I hired http://www.thetaxclub.net/ to get hold on my taxes. I would recommend them to anyone.
