Is it possible for me to start a business? -

I m 20. I live in Alabama. I want to open a pet supply store. I don t have a business degree but I was thinking about trying to find a partner who knows the business side because I am very experienced on the animal side. I will specialize in cat and dog supplies. I also have no credit. I don t have bad credit, just no credit. Is there anything out there that helps people like me start a business? Also, I don t have a job either. It s hard to find a job out here.

You can start your own business, it might be easier if you went to school for business and worked at a pet store first, but regardless its still worth a shot. If you cant take out a loan form the bank maybe some one else can for you, and you repay that person. In the meantime you can always create a web site about pet related stuff and make money with affiliate ads.http://www.adelphi.edu/manhattan/busines

YesHowever, most of new marketers have only the slightest ideas on where to start, and a lot of them are not willing or able to invest a startup capital in their business. However, it is almost impossible to start an business without spending some money on basic infrastructure. The very first option, if you have no money to start off your business, is to earn some capital using your already existing skills or knowledge. You can give tuition to students on your dominant subject in college, you can teach stuff about your hobby to people who are interested, you can write guides on knowledge or skills you picked up through experience and cannot be found in theoretical books. The fastest, most effective and easiest way to build your own business empire is through joint ventures.

A pet supply store will have a lot of overhead. Without credit, it will be difficult to start. Also, many of the small pet stores fail against companies like Petco and Petsmart. If you like animals, start a pet sitting business. You should be able to pick up some clients and start making money. Once you have money, you can grow your business and expand into other things. For more low overhead business ideas:http://hubpages.com/hub/Low-Overhead-Bus

You may have to contact 100 companies before you get your first customer. Unless you are already famous, it always takes a long time to get your business started.Yes, you could offer your services free to the first 3 customers. But that can backfire as you might attract people who don t want to pay anything.Try to visit your target businesses in person to talk to the owners. See if there is something that they need. If you can provide what they need, you might get your business going faster.
