What is a good, legit home startup business? -

I would like to start a lucrative business from home. I have wracked my brain for a year, just nothing comes to mind. My main skills are: graphic designer (degreed), I am a wildlife artist, photographer, and work as a website design consultant. I am very good at logos, but it just seems all my skill sets are in a flooded market. I would love to do something different, and not join a pyramid scheme. I just want to find a good, honest job I can do that I can put sweat equity into. I went through a divorce and not in a great financial position. :( I am quite creative in the arts, but am very happy to go outside of my skills. My strengths, people skills, very computer savvy, fun person. Weaknesses, to be completely honest, organization. :o)

As a professional coach I m going out on a limb to tell you you re approaching this from the wrong perspective I m afraid. It s kind of like choosing a career just because it pays well. Do you want to enjoy what you do 1, 5 or 20 years from now?You re correct in looking at the skills you have but that in itself isn t enough. Just because you can drive a car doesn t mean you should be a bus driver. The areas you need to combine if you want to do something you love are:1) skills and abilities, 2) personality traits, 3) values, dreams and passions.

I was the same way trying to figure out how I could make money. I think your in a better situation. You have so much talent. The way I make money is by doing niche websites. Websites on things that has something to do with my passion. I found SBI and they taught me everything I needed to know about the business of websites. They supply you with the knowledge and tools to make money. You will make money off of it, if you do what they say. A lot of people think that you can just put a site up and your good. It does take work, but you get what you pay for. It is no get rich quick scheme. SBI was a dream come true. The only thing that I hate about it was the lack of templates, but they are working on that. With your background, it will be a breeze. You do have to put in some work as far as writing content, but it will all pay off. Its totally your business. My website is one month old. I put a ton of work into it.Check out my website. http://www.avon-representatives.com/legitimateworkfromhome.html read my true story if you want or skip it and go straight down to the SBI link. P.S. There is a money back guarantee on it.

Is it safe for me to leave negative feedback for a seller on Ebay? -

I bought a guitar from ebay US which was advertised as brand new. It arrived and it said used on the box. The guitar was obviously in used condition as well. I figured it must have just been a mistake, but the seller has ignored every message I ve sent. The seller has already left me positive feedback. If I leave him negative feedback, is he able to somehow leave me negative feedback in retaliation even though he has already given me positive feedback?

What an ***. I d give him negative feedback, and report him as well.

With current eBay Rules (I am a seller so I should know), the seller CANNOT give any negative feedback. I/They can choose to not give any feedback, or just give positive feedback. There is no way for him or her to change or retract their feedback, they can however post a response to negative feedback explaining themselves (its usually present under your negative feedback, and does not in anyway harm your feedback score). However, in your situation. I would recommend emailing eBay, and notifying them of your problem. Sellers are responsible for accurately listing the items they sell, and through eBay (which also runs and owns PayPal) you can file a complaint/claim, and you can (and should) get your money back, as well as leave negative feedback).

Start a dispute for SNAD (Significantly Not As Described). They will have you return the item and the seller will be forced to give you your money back. I would give him the benefit of the doubt to start off with. Maybe he didn t answer your emails because of an emergency. How long has it been? Check their feedback and see if he s left any for other customers over the last few days. That will tell you if he s been on his account and is ignoring your emails. Let the dispute run and then decide what feedback you feel is appropriate. I think I would agree with the negative, but take care of it first.

Ask ebay for his telephone number (cant remember where the link is )No he cant change his feedback but could put a follow up comment. If it is derogatory you can ask ebay to remove it-they will.If you dont want the guitar do a dispute SNAD (significantly not as described) that should wake him up-you will get a refund Send back trackable

You cannot change feedback unless it is requested to be changed.

no, give him negative feedback and contact paypal to get your money backyou got scammed

Owner is letting a valuable small business go to waste... anything can be done? -

I know someone who works for a small tech company that has developed a very valuable technology. The company has a patent and at least a 2 year lead on any possible competition, with a huge potential market. I d say its worth $10-15 million if it were to be bought by a large company or competitor and exploited to its full potential. They only have a few employees and maybe $1 mil annual gross profit and almost no liquid assets. The problem is that the owner is old, set in his ways and not very tech savvy. He is letting the technology go to waste by poor marketing, an outdated business model, rudely dismissing away any potential allies or partners, etc. His ambition seems to be to suck the company dry of what little value it currently holds without any ambition to capitalize on its huge potential. The young employees are full of energy and highly skilled in a very specialized field, and they are convinced that they could do much better given the chance, but even if they pool all their resources, they don t have the capital needed to buy the owner out. What, if anything, can be done?

Go to an Angel investor for the rest of the money that s needed to buy out the owner.Or, try and borrow what ever you need using the combined collateral of everyone who is interested.

Hostile takeover? Venture capalist? Force him out?

What does someone need to start their own animal beauty parlour? -

if i was to run a small -at home- domestic animal (pets and livestock) beauty parlor, what would i have to do to run it? would i need licenses, and/or certain animal handler permits or anything... and i am looking to talk to someone who has successfully ran an at home pet salon/parlor, to tell me what they use, and what the whole thing is about. I really enjoy working with animals, i love all of them (yes, even the cute fuzzy spiders) and i love to help and always had a hand with grooming in general.

Find out about licensing on your State s Department of Licensing website.

Sell your Gran on ebay!

I have the exact same problem but I m 15! I do housework for my grandad every fortnight. It brings a few pennies in. Try asking family and neighbours if they want their car washing for a fiver. You could sell some bits that you don t want at a car boot sale...good luck!

Everyday, knock on your neighbours doors asking for odd jobs. By returning each day, they have a chance to think about it. Good luck.

You could start a completely free home based online business.

I want to start a Design company. Do I need a license or permit (I live in iowa) how much are they? -

I wanted to start a web design company which does, logos, banners, some coding work and wanted to know If I needed to get a business license to do this? And is there anything else I need to obtain or fill out to do this aswell? If so where can I download them or get them from?

No, it doesn t appear that you need to obtain a license or a permit if you re the only employee because your business would be considered a sole proprietorship. In the state of Iowa there are no statues governing the formation of a sole proprietorship (http://www.sos.state.ia.us). Of course, any money you do receive from your business must be reported in your income tax return. If you plan on growing your business in the future by hiring others, then you would need to obtain a business license (https://blic.iowa.gov) and also apply for a state employer identification number.Hopefully some of this information was helpful to you. Good luck with your business!

You need to go to college to learn to start Marketing and run a business.Im not sure about a permit but you do need to go to college/University.I hope I helped a bit.

idk about that but i wish you luck and may you succeed in what your doing

idk

Will i be entitled to a sure start maternity grant? -

im 29 weeks pregnant, my partner was paid off 2 months ao so we are on benefits(he s looking for work by all means). Iv got the form for a ssmp grant, but it says about your tax credits awards, i got a letter from inland revenue sayin i was overpaid, and that i have to pay it back.will this affect me claiming the for the grant?

yes you will be, if your partner is recieving job seekers then you will be entitled to it, esp if neither of you are working, they will just need proof of his jobseekers which they will look up via his national insurance number. They will not be bothered if you are over paid tax credits, so apply for it now and you will receive the money into your account within 10 days.
