I have to start advertising business on my own, but I feel very uncomfortable meeting the prospective clients? -

I have never been into marketing field. Any tips ?

It will be uncomfortable in the beginning and is true for all beginners.Just go a head, You will make it.

First Thing First......................... Are you ready to do the business????????????? answer the question to yourself. if it is yes then you can move forward, but unfortuniatly its no, in many cases it comes no, then you have to first prepare yourself for the business.Exactly what you feel is a fear to loose your client, but my dear friend there should be something in your hand to loose it. At the moment you have prospective clients who CAN BE your customers. so dont worry, just go on express your business to them in your way. Any client never expect that the service provider will have the same conditions what he is looking for, nighter even you. Tell me every one of us like to buy a kilo apple in just Rs.10.00 but dose the sales man bother of this. he just do the thing and shows his fruit quality and we purchase it at Rs.100/kg. Its not strange. But it dosnt means that you just present yourself in a foolish way, before going to meet any client first of all you have know clients requirement, get it by asking on phone when he rings you or whenever you get first verble contact. make a presentation plan and do as per it. Keep in your mind that client will ask you Un-expected questions! if you are not sure about the answers just tell him you will answer it in next meeting. It means you have engaged him for atleast next meeting. he wont go anywhere untill you answer him.A Client is not a man eating tiger, He is one who come to help you to build your business. He is very important to you evenif he did not make any deal with you, he teaches you or highlights your weakness. get concentrate on the same and improve it in next meeting with another client. After all GOD WILL ASK YOU TO PUT THINGS DOWN WHEN HE PLANS TO GIVE YOU BETTERWish you a prosporus business.and yes, the last but not the least. Every one owns a best marketing executive to its business, he never makes one down, he always keeps marketing, he never asks for the sallary, his name is YOU

Can I sell on the street without any permission? -

happy holidays, guy.I wana sell some decoration like holidays souvenir on the NYC street.expecially for the new year. and this is my frist time to do the thing, i used oftently found some people sell beside the subway. and i just wondering this selling action is illegel? or must have some permission to do it?

No you will need a permit.Decide if you want to do it alone or join a street vendor organization. These organizations can help you with licenses and renewals, ID Badges, taxes, locations, tickets and criminal actions.Step 2: Get licensed before you start to sell or buy equipment. Everyone needs to apply at their town s municipal office. If you sell at flea markets, holiday markets and street fairs, you only need a temporary license.Step 3: Escape the need for a vendor license if you can be classified as an artist. Artists sell their artwork on certain streets. Enforcement of this law is difficult for authorities. The sale of jewelry, crafts, prints and photos are not considered artwork.Step 4; Write down a schedule of the events you would like to attend as a street vendor. It is important to find out the rain policy of the street fair, flea market or holiday market.Step 5: Determine the cost for reserving a vendor spot at the event???remember location is everything.Step 6: Calculate if a lottery system for vendor position at an event is worth the weekly stress. Many times events have an early morning lottery to make the transition from seasonal vendors to weekly vendors.Step 7: Read the street vendor guidelines for your event. The guidelines will tell you about waste receptacles, health regulations, signage, dog policies and insurance.Step 8: Prepare yourself to work hard. A career as a street vendor is a difficult task. The plus of your job is that you will be able to work outdoors. Self-employment is also a bonus.Things You ll Need:License Permits Guidelines

I want to open a restraunt on the north califorina coast were do i start? -

It depends where you re starting from. Start by learning how to cook if you don t know how. Start saving money or writing a business plan if you re going to need investors or a loan.

Definitely check out The Small Business Administration (http://www.sba.gov/). This site will be your go-to site for understanding what is needed to start your own business. They provide instructions, guidelines and resources to get your business up and running.I know the thought of opening up a restaurant may be in its very early stages, but you may want to check out or bookmark this site, http://www.l-trondirect.com/ once you get it up and running. My friend recently opened up a small retail store in town and he was looking for barcode scanners to track his inventory and purchasing point-of-purchase equipment, like those electronic signature pads you find at many stores near the checkout. This site was a huge help when it came to equipping the store to manage the product sold, capturing payment methods of his customers and whatnot. You may find this site useful in time.Best of luck to you!

What can I sell on eBay and actually make money? Ive looked at different wholesalers and they all look scammy? -

Ebay has a page on their website that lists the most popular items that people are searching for and buying on ebay. It s updated regularly with current stats. This shows where money is being made.http://pulse.ebay.com/Also see best-selling products list:http://product-index.ebay.com/best_selliOnce you decide on a products you want to sell, you can use the GoWholesale.com search engine to locate wholesalers who sell those products. You can compare their prices and purchasing arrangements to negotiate the best deal.http://www.gowholesale.com

The problem with wholesalers is there is usually a minimum amount you have to buy and then you also have to store everything. With drops hippers, you just never know how the item will arrive. I ve been selling for over 10 years making some pretty good money all from things, mostly vintage, that I get at thrift stores. There are some things you would not believe people pay for. Like $200 for a coffee cup you could get for 50 cents. No I m not joking. I get all my stuff at thrift stores. Always have. I buy for pennies and sell for dollars. It s truly the way to go.

I want to start a graphic design business as a beginner in the field? -

I want to start a business and would like to know:Where to find a good printer that can work with my designs? Online or local, etc..?How to get started? How do you fill orders?I am a beginner, and am confused on how I get the product to my customer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

pick a design,pick a graphic design school,go to www.elance.com,advertise.next check the internet.

Well best of luck on your business, graphic design can be very profitable assuming your good at what you do and enjoy the work enough to maintain a high level of professionalism. The first thing you ll want to do is probably get a feel for the market prior to spending much money, I would so some research on other graphic design companies and use some free advertising sources like craigslist and posting on message boards/blogs to generate interest in your business.Obviously as a graphic designer it s important to have a website where customers can go for information so that s something I would look into, if your good with graphics you probably know a bit about programming and considering a website is only about $10.00 a month through Yahoo and etc. I would recommend getting setup with that and see how much interest you generate. As far as accepting payments and filing orders most of it would probably need to be done on a per order basis. Unless of course your selling designs that you ve already made in mass, in which case it could be setup for them to pay for the product then download it from your website and etc.Otherwise if it s local work or other design work you can simply e-mail it, put it on your website for download, and a variety of other options depending on the source. For payment I would check into a few options, PayPal is very popular and although I don t recommend them for people who like to get paid and stay paid I think they are very beginner friendly.I use a payment processor called Prosper Merchant Services, it s basically like PayPal but is a real merchant account that takes a little more time to get setup but is generally much more convinent and gives a lot of flexability. I would suggest giving them a call or signing up on there website if you find yourself in need of a payment provider, plus it never hurts to make sure you can get approved to accept credit cards prior to starting a business since it can be very costly to have a business running and not take payments from credit.PS. Also check out the website in source for a good printer and information.
