I own a Business and currently take company draws through writing checks and debit withdrawls. I need to print a proof of income/paycheck stub to show a future landlord. I have quickbooks and have an accountant but I m unsure on how to do this. I would appreciate any help.

Have your accountant extract some monthly P L statements, and maybe a cash flow statement, from QB and have him attach a letter on his letterhead explaining that you work for yourself, and that he feels that these statements are a reasonable reflection of your income, or at least that he has worked for you x number of years and is your accountant. I assume you are a sole proprietor. Sole proprietors don t pay themselves with paychecks (you knew that), so you won t have pay stubs to show (you knew that too). Being self-employed is a fairly common thing nowadays, so the landlord should understand what is going on. You could also show your prospective landlord last year s 1040.To show pay stubs, you would need to incorporate and get an EIN, then put yourself on payroll. That is way too much trouble to go to.
