If you are tutoring on your own and not through someplace like Sylvan then yes, you are self employed. Any income should be reported to the IRS. You would have to file a Schedule C on your income tax returns. You also have to keep track of any expenses you incur as a part of the business.

I would have to say yes, but not buy much cause there is allot that you could do with money. but it s like having something that you need cause it wouldn t really work without the other. so i would have to you are both important in this situation. it like having rims without the tires or having tires without the rims. if you leave on of the two out thin they both become worthless.
Sometimes , unfortunately the person with money has the power of the partnership , but.. you are getting in with your equipment so , that may help the business be 50-50 . if not he will have more power than you , but everything can be solved if you talk before you do anything . Is better talk about any situation in the beginning than latter
