If you want to buy from ebay to sell locally, you probably already found an item, or a few items, that you can buy and sell at a better rate than is already available at locally - or you may have found something that is not offered locally. hmmmmmm something UNIQUE i hate giving away my ideas BUT this would go like crazy a KEY chain thingy to use to scratch off lottery tickets with !Instaead of fumbling around for a coin that really is messy and hard to get clean scratches with rounded edge on flat surface !IT would be made from plastic and have lucky symbols on it that you can add letters to it for your name ;about 1 LONG have a blunt metal edge about as thick as KEY and only 1/4 wide ! Would sell for $1.25 cost about 10 cents to make !

how hard is it to sell the stuff and is it a pretty easy business

I know they change their catalogs a lot. We change ours twice a year and it can be a hectic time for ordering. I can t imagine doing it as often as Avon does.On the flip side, it s a product people know and trust. Unfortunately most of them already have an Avon rep they love.It s a lot to think about but being a part of your own business is really rewarding. I hope you find something you love!Lisa

I sold Avon for about a year before giving it up. You have to pay for your samples and brochures. I pushed a stroller all over town delivering brochures and only had about a 2% response rate. I made maybe $20-$30 per cycle. People got sick of me coming around. It wasn t worth the time I put into it, I would have done better getting a part time job (I was already working full time).It s a lot of hard work, long hours, etc. I found that the women who did well were not at the bottom entry level. It wasn t for me.
