How long should I hold onto my deposit receipts from my business to my bank account? -

Just until it shows up in my statement? A year? 7 years? Throw away immediately?

7 years is how long you are required to hold bank information for business accounts. If there is any reason that you were ever audited that would be able to request up to 7 years of bank records. It is actually quite important to keep a hold of these. Especially when you are moving money from your business to your personal account. If you don t want to hold on to the actual receipt, I suggest scanning them into a pdf file and just storing that information in a safe folder on your computer. That way you don t have tons a little bank receipts floating around.

My wife would say 7 years to address the statute of limitations BUT, I cannot think of any reason to keep it beyond the point where it shows up on the statement. At that point, the bank has acknowledged the deposit and you are covered.

For business accounts, you should be able to get your statements electronically which makes them easier to store. Keep them for 5 years.

once it shows up on your bank statement, then there is no reason to keep the receipt; however, I like to keep them for one year to be on the cautious side.

if its on your statement then you should be fine

What does it take to sell avon? -

I just became intrested in selling avon products and I was wondering how the buisness works and how you get paid? I have a meeting on monday with one of the ladies through avon but I want to know something about it before hand. thank you so much

Hi, if you take payment from your customer before you give them their items then you will never get left paying anybody back. You should NEVER leave product with a customer unless you get payment from them first. AVON is what you put into it. The start up fee is only 10 dollars and their product is great quality. You get paid by collecting money from your customers. The amount you make depends on your sales although you do get 40% in your first 4 campaigns so for instance if you sell $200 worth a products and collect $200. You would pay AVON 120 and keep $80 for yourself. You have to buy your own brochures to give out but they are really cheap and they are your store. I really think it would be worth a shot. Good Luck!

It s fun but you have to market a lot. Hand out catalogs, leave them everywhere you go! Or drop your link all over the internet (like me!)

Hi Cassidy! I was actually going to try avon but I heard bad things about them. For example, if someone doesnt pay you back with a BIG order..then YOU have to be stuck paying it! I would totally hate that! Also, you have to buy your supplies like boooklets things like that! It seems like it would be quite difficult!I was lookng into a home based business like avon and I did happen to find something else ..if your interested...send me an email : nataliejazmin07@yahoo.comHope to hear from you soon :)

It takes hard work. Like trying to sell anything does.

If i paid a deposit for goods i wanted and the buyer gave me a receipt with his company name? -

details of the goods and balance owing. The seller called and told me he doesn t want to sell me the goods. Are the goods legally mine?

Sara it really depends on the terms that the deposit was made. Eg. if it was like a lay-by term then you can fight it and the hassle will probably allow him to just give it to you for price promised, but unfortunately a deposit is just that, a deposit, so long as he gives back the deposit he is not entitled to go through with the sale if he chooses not to.

How to ship a large gift? -

Okay so I m trying to ship a box that is 20 L x 20 W x 6 . The box is gift wrapped and I was planning on putting it in a flat rate box but it turns out that the argest box that usps has is only 12 x 12 .I dont know if I should just have them put a label on it and ship it like that. I m afraid that the wrapping will be completely destroyed before it makes it. What should I do?

don t wrapp it.. 905 it will be destroyed before it makes it.. Ship it with the label on it.. .. and should be soon as the holidays now.. it will take longer time.. so soon to make it on time..Good luck and have a great day ..

Just wrap the gift-wrapped box in heavy brown paper and mail it like that.

put it in a larger box with Styrofoam then contact a company that routinely handles larger boxes such as www.shipalliance.com
