Is there a fee to put an (antique) item in an auction? -

Hi! I have antique item worth a lot of money and I would like to put it in an auction. My question is, Is there a fee that I have to pay to even put my item in the auction?????

Not in a regular auction no ...but they usually charge 15% of the sale price as their commission.

It depends on what website you want to put it up for auction on. Ruby Lane Antiques does charge a fee and many other antique specialists also charge. EBAY is really a liquidation market place and you get less there and the fee is minimal. If EBAY charges a final sales fee I imagine the other charge at least a commission if not more.

It depends on what type of auction and what the estate auctions company charges. You should consult with a local company and ask them about more details. Most of them will do a free consultation and answer any of your questions. Good luck with your item!

Am I able to sell REPLICA jewelry on EBAY? -

I have an underground business selling replica jewelry. yes my customers KNOW that they are replicas. But I was wondering if theres a rule against selling replica jewelry? I wouldn t think so, because people sell replica handbags on there. But I wanna know just to make sure!ANYONE KNOW? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

From the ebay website: Policy overviewItems that bear a company s official brand name or logo can be listed as long as the products were made or officially endorsed by that company. For a safer buying and selling experience on eBay, we don t allow listings for counterfeit items, fakes, replicas, or unauthorized copies. Unauthorized copies include things that are backed-up, bootlegged, duplicated, or piratedwhich are all illegal. These kinds of things may infringe on someone s copyright or trademark. So your answer is No

Replica means it s a copy of someone else s copyrighted design.Selling a replica (or even buying one) is theft.

As far as I know, there are a lot of replicas on Ebay
