I am applying to work at and Adult Erotica store, what would the look for on a resume other than sales? -

I m applying to work at an Adult love boutique near my house, the owner is a really neat guy! He had a help wanted sign up a couple of weeks ago, he told me to make a resume and to fax it to him, do you think a Love Boutique would be looking for something other than competence in sales and customer service? other than knowledge in POS and computer literacy?

I don t really know, but I bet the answer is, not really. I m sure they d want you to have an open mind and not be embarrassed by what it is that they sell, but just like any other store an erotica store is first and foremost a business. What they need in sales associates, then, is first and foremost business experience. I definitely would not write gettin it on all the time! as work experience on your resume! You could, if you wanted, include just a bit in your objective section to make it clear that you are cool with this type of work. For example, you might say that your work objective is to bring your organizational abilities, your computer skills, and your sales experience to an open-minded and fun work establishment. Those adjectives - open-minded and fun - will be immediately understood to say that you are happy to work in an adult store. But really, you re already applying for a job there, right? They can probably figure out that you re cool with the erotica thing. The only question is how embarrassed you are around this stuff. So: your resume probably doesn t need anything more than what you say above. But remember, if there s an interview, it is fair game to ask you what you d recommend for somebody with this or that sexual preference or stuff like that, so it probably doesn t hurt to know a little bit about the store and the products it carries.

You might mention that you are not easily offended, have a perverse streak and have taken self defense classes eight years and have a brown belt in karate. Just kidding. The only thing he ll care about is that you won t sue him if some crack head exposes himself to you and you never call in sick.

As long as you re making them money I don t think anything else will matter to them!

Is it Legal to Open a Small Business to Setup Linux (Ubuntu) Desktops/Create Websites? -

Since Ubuntu and other Linux Distros are free to download and distribute. Would it be illegal for me to have a Small Business of my own that would charge individuals/small-businesses to Install and Setup Linux desktops. I wasn t sure how that GPL license worked. I figured I would be charging individuals for setting up Linux Desktops on their machines or small business/offices and training/teaching them on the various applications they could install on their own. Also, would it be illegal to create websites using Apache, Tomcat and other Open Source tools and then sell those sites.I figured many people are turned off by learning or installing something other than Windows desktops on their pcs, just because it is different. If this cannot be done under the GPL license, then could someone tell me how I could go about starting my own small business to legally Setup/Install Linux distributions. Thanks,

You can install linux for people and charge them for your work. You can use linux to set up websites and charge for your work. You cannot use the open source code and release it as your own for a fee. You can release it for free.Check the links below.

What should i make and sell? -

I don t know what to sell at school, i m baking. Well i bake brownies and other pastries, and it s homemade. I sell the brownies for a $1.50 i don t know what to sell and make or bake. i just need to make more profite. thank you!

Add frosting to the brownies and bump up the price, add something small to some of them and increase the price by at least $0.25.Like sprinkles to cup cakes or a hershey kiss right in the middle, get creative. and do the math before you start selling.Another you can do if you haven t already incorporated it, is to make something really cheap and easy to make that you will sell for like 2 for a $1. Or 1 for $0.50, that way you will widen your market.

I would go to any of the multiple recipe sites on the internet and try expanding into other baked goods. Try making different types of brownies, and expand to danishes and coffee cakes. Try to keep costs low, just as any other business. But of course, make sure the product is worth the money!

Never sigh to ask people. Its the people who will give you the ideas for your business. The right place will be the school itself. goodluck

Home equity loan or small business loan? -

My mortgage is half way paid off and I want to opena small home based business (**medical billing business**).The start up costs are low so I only need about $15,000. I was thinking about getting a home equity loan against my coop for the $15,000 to start up my medical billing business. Do u think I m going in the wrong direction? Is this a wise choice? There is no way I can save the money so I need some kind of loan to start it up. I feel like I may have issues getting a small business loan but am I better off taking the time to do it that way?? Which has lower interest rates; small biz loans or home equity loans??? Please help??****I want to open a home based medical billing business because I have the experiece.I would be willing to take chance because pretty confident I can pay it back. I have 9 years experience in the field.

As to which loan is better.... 90% of banks will only give loans to you after you have been in business for at least 1 year. Because of the market crash, it is a good time to get a loan against your home, with the interest as low as it is. You want to make sure it is a fixed rate (with the very low rates they are now) and not a variable rate (the economy will recover rates will go up again). My question is why the $15,000? This seems rather high for a start-up cost. Are you going to have a staff of people doing it? WIth 9 years, you should already have the contacts just need the equipment. Get this price down by at least 1/3 and get a secured loan for 10k (not an open line of credit).

You may consider an alternative to a business loan called a business cash advance. This is a working capital product, mainly, and requires that your business is up and running already, in most cases. But, if you can scrap the money together enough to get going, and then get a cash advance later on to pay it off partially or fully, that may work. Also, one twist would be that typically these business cash advances require that your company is not home based.

Recenlty my friend got home loan of 500000$ for 25 years on 1.5% which should be paid annually my friend doesnt have good credit his credit score is below 500 but still he got loan.I asked him how you got ?He told me while i was searching on internet for Home loan with Bad credit he found a site which contains about 8 links for bad credit so i checked all of them one by one . go to Dixiloan.com Home loan Note each link contain different interest rates and repayment period.Take CareBye!

Why do people get True Value and Ace Hardware mixed up? -

I work at an Ace Hardware and people always come in thinking it s a True Value store. I was just wondering what the connection between the two is. Were the two stores at some point the same store? Or could it be that people get them mixed up because they are both small town hardware stores?

Both chains carry approximately the same goods for about the same prices. If I need some wood stain, I probably won t pick a store by which chain it belongs to, but rather by how close it is to my house (or wherever I m working). Most of your customers don t really care which chain your store belongs to, they only care about price and selection.I don t think that the two chains were one at some point. Usually chains merge, they don t split off.

Both chains have many similarities. They are both small town stores that are usually independently owned but part of a national franchise. Their logos are both mainly red. Ace and True value are the big hardware chains. Dont worry, i work at an idependent hardware store with no affilation, we buy from orgill and a few others, and people still confuse us with Ace and True Value.
