Restaurant Stole my Graphic work before they paid? -

Hello, Recently my company and a local restaurant recently made a deal to-do a Logo and website, They pulled out after reading the contract but the logo was already done and sent to them to prove my ability to-do the work. They refuse to pay me and still using my logo I did not legally get it copyrighted through the U.S. Copyright Office thinking I did not have to. What would you suggest my ways of going to get compensated for my work. Thanks Jimmy Davis CJ Media Productions- Cleveland, Ohio

File a lawsuit in small claims court. Also, send them a cease and desist letter insisting they stop using the logo or pay for it. Document everything. You should easily be able to win a case like this provided you have decent documentation. Small claims court is made for situations like this.

The odds are against you. You can t get compensated for this, i m afraid. As much as it would be nice to get back at them, there is nothing you can do in this situation. Maybe you can go in there with a few friends, order a massive order, and when they bring it to you, walk away. :) I have done this before, to a restruant that I didn t like.
