If anyone could help me get my hands on this, Id be very grateful.? -

When setting up a franchise, the company that owns the franchise passes on information about the rules and procedures of running this business. It is a kind of operational guide for the franchisee. I would like to know where I can see a sample of such a document, or similar Business operational guide.

Hello there,Here are links to some sample franchise agreements.http://contracts.onecle.com/blimpie/smoohttp://www.docstoc.com/docs/2211372/Franhttp://www.docstoc.com/docs/13187059/FraI should point out to you that drafting your own franchise agreement is risky. That is something you should have a business lawyer do. This is a legal contract. If you do it yourself, you could end up costing yourself a fortune if there is problem. Litigating a contract is expensive whether you will or loose the litigation, you will spend thousands on legal fees.Later,

The document you are speaking of is called the Franchise Agreement. The franchise agreement is the heart and soul of the business relationship between the two parties. It spells out in very specific detail how the franchisor expects the franchisee to conduct business, and outlines the obligations of both parties. However, unless you are qualified and serious about purchasing a specific franchise, your request to see one won t be granted.

Should I do this small Business Expo? -

There s a Small Business expo coming up in my little corner of the world. It s an informational expo, only (you can t sell.) But the tables are cheep and its being run by a professional business organization.

I THINK IT IS A GREAT IDEA IT IS GREAT EXPOSURE FOR YOUR COMPANY AND THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES YOU SUPPLY. I MANAGE A CLOTHING STORE AND TWICE A YEAR THE OWNER FLIES TO VEGAS FOR AN EXPO SHOW TO SEE NEW BRANDS

Is it legal to make band shirts and sell them? -

For already existing bands. Like, an original design, but not band

Only with permission of the band to do so - there is usually a licensing fee involved. You can contact their record company to find the proper agency to obtain the licensing rights.

It is legal, but if you do that expect the band to sue for you for all your profits. You must invent band names if you want to stay clear on that matter. Your art work is totally yours to do with as you please, but check copy-write laws to be sure before you go ahead. If you wish to do Band Art posters and tee-shirt for real on-going bands, then they and their manager must sign a contract with you, for the franchise rights - they will expect their cut.

Only if it is your band or if the band gives you premission to do so

How does one account for the return of an advance payment? -

We gave a new hire a monetary advance (via company check and not payroll) but at the last minute he decided to turn down the job. Eventually he returned the advance. How do I account for this? What are the tax implications (in NY)?

There are no tax implications as far as I can see. He never actually worked for you.The entries I would have made are:(For the advance)Debit Employee Advances $XXX [asset account]Credit Cash $XXX(For the return of the advance)Debit Cash $XXXCredit Employee Advances $XXX-------------I know it sounds weird that I m using an account called Employee Advances for this, even though the person never was an employee. But that s just the way I would do it. I m not going to create a whole new account just to record two transactions in. If this happens all the time, you may just need to create a new account to keep track of these non-employee advances.

How do Walmart employees find their weely work schedule online on the walmart benefits website? -

Its confusing how they list everyone s schedule at work (at the store). Can I find my schedule online?

Ask HR. They designed the system.

You can not access your schedule online. You may be able to view your schedule in the CBL computers in the store through some application (see Personnel) if something like that has been rolled out to your store otherwise you re stuck looking at the printouts.
