How can i member of this parlour? -

By getting an education.

I want to start my own face and bod painting business.? -

I am a college student with two jobs and am still in need of more money. I have been hitting to internet and book store in search of ideas. I would rather do my own business from home, rather than get another retail job making peanuts! While in high school I loved art and drawing. So I have been thinking about doing something that I know I would have interest in and make extra money. I would like to start a face painting and body art business. But I have not been drawing consistently for a few years now and feel that I should maybe take a basic drawing class to get refreshed. But I know I have the creative ability to draw and come up with designs. I also dont know much about the proper face paints. I live in an area with lots of schools, kids, and potential for work. But I would also need a partner to help with booking, set ups, promotion, and also doing the painting. Any suggestions on where to start?

Keep an eye open for Children s Fairs, Parties and events. These events may have Face/Body painters. Talk to them. They may be friendly and helpful. Maybe you could work for them to learn. But be careful. They may view you as potential competition. Also, there may be organizations that can be helpful to get you started. Search the net - there s lots there under face painting Good Luck.

Hi Letice,You start with a business plan. Even if you decide never to actually start up, a plan will help you decide if it is worth the effort, time and money.Planning is key. In order to plan effectively, you must conduct some research. What do you need to provide your services? Who will you provide them to? Who are you competing against? What makes you better; gives you an edge ? How are you going to reach your prospects/potential clients? Answering these kinds of questions gives you a basis to begin a business plan. You can download my free research outline at www.abusinessmentor.comIt should certainly guide you in the right direction.Good Luck!

I want to start a pet boarding/daycare out of my home. I live in Texas, do I HAVE to be licensed or insured? -

I only want to take in a few SMALL DOGS at one time. I plan on making it very professional; I just cannot seem to figure out if I need to be licensed through the state or if I must be insured/bonded.

To be honest, I don t know the legal answer to your question. I suspect that you will have to have some sort of license, though, in order to make sure that you can take care of the animals. As a pet owner (currently I am owned by three cats, but I ve had dogs in the past), I would not be willing to trust my animals to anyone who DOESN T have insurance, whether it s legally required or not. You might want to think about that for a while. The people who care about their pets will want the best of care, and those are the ones who will board their pets. The people who take a more casual approach are more likely to have someone drop by their house and throw a can of dog food in the back yard.

umm...well that is ironic..you want it to be professional yet not insured or licensed..No pet owner with a brain is going to leave the love of their life with someone who isn t..and yes you do need to be..

How Can I Begin to Work From Home !? -

I have a 6 week old daughter .. And I prefer not puting her in daycare because i want to spend time with her .. But i know i need a job .. so iw ant to work from home so i was sondering if anyone could tell me how and where do i start is there any sites that can help .. and is there anyone out there that is working from home , how did u get started ..

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

It is sad to see the many scams that have appeared in response to your question.I honestly believe that you are trying to get a job at home so you can look after your child and yet earn some income for the family; but asking this question here gets you nothing but scams. The only way to get such a job is to possess skills that are relatively uncommon, and that a company will want to pay you for. You can look for advertisements that require your type of skill, and apply for the job with the condition that you need to work from home, but am willing to go to the office occasionally. That will be a better way that trying to get something from here.

I am working from home, but I own home based businesses, not a job working for someone else. www.alpineaccess.com has work at home jobs, but it s phone based work and won t be able to do it with the baby there. I ve got a baby too. It s very difficult to work from home with a baby. You can also try www.kgb.com or chacha.com, but they don t pay very well.If you want suggestions on home based businesses just email me.

What to put on business card? -

My business goes down as a sole trader - self employed. What woul dmy title be on my business card? (founder, owner, director etc.)Thanks in advance

For my business I put: Graphic DesignerEven though I m: accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax accountant, webmaster, owner, etc etc etc.Just put on there what you do.

A business card should be easy to read and clearly define who you are, what you do and how to easily contact you. Don t be too boisterous about yourself. If you are the sole person in the business, then you are the founder, owner, director and bottle washer all in one! Just put your name and underneath it the type of business

I think Director and Founder sound kind of lame when you are a single person business. I would stick with owner or even no title at all.

I WOULD SUGGEST PROPRIETOR

Would you pay $60 a month for a professional website for your business? -

includes (if applicable) flash, data entry, really good design.I cant provide a link right now because i want to keep it quiet until im ready to open.

For web hosting, or the design? For hosting, that is a horrible price. For design, it depends on how good of a job they do.
