Does everyone have to go through city hall to ok a building use? -

I am a not profit. I am just starting out. I have practically no money. I can t get donations unless people see what I am doing. But I can t get going because city hall has a lot of codes that they need adhering to - like wheelchair accessibility. Do I just rent a place that is zoned correctly, and start? We want to start a drop-in centre that does non-stop support group meetings. We re in Canada.

Yes, everyone has to do that, zoning laws require it

As a retail manager how will you achieve business by decision making focused on price offer and demand pressur? -

You mean supply and demand? The higher the price the less people would want to buy the product, but more profit for youThe lower the price the more people would want to buy the product, but less profit for youThe right price will bring the proper amount of demand = adequate profit

Would I just be wasting my time to try to start this as a side business? -

I have wanted to try to start some sort of side business for many years.I finally was thinking of starting a business in which I would rent out a small hall and do story readings. There are so many stories in public domain, I would have plenty of material.I wasn t planning to just run out and do this. I would have to take the time to build up a following. One of the ways I was planning to do this is by building up a following and doing free reading for public libraries. When I mentioned what I was planning to do to a few of my friends. They all felt I would not get anyone to come and would just be wasting my time.

Gosh, R14, I think it may be a long shot. I wonder about the demand like your friends do ;-)I think you have the right idea in starting small. The library is a good idea. How would you get the word out? You could put up fliers on free bulletin boards and maybe have the library promote your services. Perhaps they could promote it as a service for busy moms who need a few minutes away from their kids while they re using the library computer, picking out books, etcetera.Another thought might be to provide this service at churches so the kids are occupied by your story reading while the parents are attending church. If your business takes off, these and similar approaches would be good ways to build a following. If it doesn t work out, you won t have invested a lot of money in finding out it s not viable - just a bit of your time.It s an interesting concept. I d be interested in hearing how it turns out. I wish you good luck!

I think it is a great idea. If you target it to the right audience. Actions usually lead into another action.Meaning the idea we start with usually isn t the idea we end up with.Go For it

What can i do with my boss? -

i have not all my four years holiday in his business. i have not claimed on two of these years but i had claim on last year. how can i have these all holiday from him while he lie to me that you have not claimed for yours!!!how can i prove to the court (if i want to go to them) that i have told him about holiday?

If you are being paid legitimately and not cash in hand then you have a claim, otherwise you will be subjected to the law yourself by not claiming wages for tax purposes. Even in saying this, you still can claim against your employer. Some businesses forfeit employees holidays if they are not taken when they fall due. By not taking your holidays when you were supposed to take them, you may have forfeited your right to claim them, years later. This may be the case in your circumstances. You need to get an employee agreement form to see if this part of the employee/employer agreement. If you have kept your wages slips, the information on you pay packet, this will prove your case. If you have never received a pay packet or received a statement of income from your employer, and you have not provided an income tax number, you have no claim and will be liable for back taxes should you proceed with a case against him. If you do proceed, and will accept judgement, your employer will also be subjected to fines for hiring a person illegally. Your employer will get a fine of about $50,000 per person he has illegally employed. You will only get a fine of about $250 for not paying income tax, plus back taxes.

Best for you to marry her- then go back to school.

Looking for great wholesalers in dog apparel and accessories? -

looking for dog apparel and accessories and im looking for a new wholesaler i can buy from. If anyone has experience in this and can help me find a great wholesale place i can purchase from id greatly appreciate it. Thanks

go to amazon.com and look up dog apparel they have contact information were you can reach and communicate with manufactures you just have to look around a little bit

The GoWholesale search engine lets you search for wholesalers by item. This way, you can compare different wholesale suppliers to get the best deal for what you need. I saw several dog accessories and apparel items, including Halloween costumes. I suggest typing in dog in the search box instead of dog accessories or dog apparel .http://www.gowholesale.com

How about this one?http://www.b2c-support.com/advanced_searthis is a good wholesale place, if you want to buy a lot, you can e-mail them, telling what you want, the quantity and your address, then they will give discount, or you can just make an oder and then write them for a discount, but it seems there are not many dog accessories.

Try:http://www.esources.co.uk/wholesale-suppYou will find all the verified dog apparel and accessories wholesalers you need there.

How to start a clothing retail store? -

I have done research so much, I already have all the resources. I m in contact with wholesale sellers that sell brand name attire. This includes T-shirts, jeans, shoes, sweaters, hoodies, sunglasses, hats, watches, accessories, etc. The brands include Ed Hardy, Nike, Adidas, Gucci, Lacoste, A F, Bape, and so on. I will be starting small, so on eBay. What do I need to know? How can I start it successfuly and continue it?

Hi -If you don t already have some, start by getting as much retail experience as you can. Whether it s merchandising classes, a previous retail store job, volunteer activities or assisting others in the retail field - the more experience you have when opening your own retail store, the better.Specialize in a niche. Don t try to please everyone. Focus on a specific market and offer products exclusively for those customers Ideally, you want to represent a niche in your local are that is not yet represented. Also offer a unique advantage that you can offer your customers that other stores don t offer. This will attract more customers to your store. You can go to Business.gov to get information on business licenses and permits that you may need for your city/state.Figure out your start-up costs. Start-up costs vary widely, depending on your store location, size, types of products, etc. I think a great way to see what your potential start-up costs would be is to look at what other retail business owners have spent. How do you find this out? You can view several business plans online for free, and often they have a financials section, including start-up costs and income projections.Decide on a location. Look at several location and local zoning and other regulations that may apply. Will the location bring in enough foot traffic to cover the rent - and does the area offer future growth potential? Is there enough floor space and storage for your products and customers and parking space for shoppers?Advertising. While keeping your ads simple, you want them to grab your customers attention and provide quality information about your merchandise or store events. Focus on what makes you different from other stores and give people a reason to come see (and buy from) you.

You may want to strengthen your inventory by searching online for wholesale items. There are quite a few options out there but I suggest vertical search engines that are designed specifically for wholesale. For example TopTenWholesale.com or OffPriceNetworking.com to start.

Selling a saw at a pawn shop? -

I have a DeWalt DC390KR wireless skill saw that I never use.I need fast cashShould I pawn it when its used value is about 150$? I have never even been to a pawn shop before, so I don t really know if its even worth it.Or should sell it on craigslist? Power tools aren t my expertise and I don t really know what to do with it but I would like to sell it asap. Help? :)

YOu do not want to ship this anywhere (Ebay). SO you could try Craigs list or the Pennysaver. A pawn shop will only give you a small amount of $ if they even accept this. You could also try to sell it like a garage sale -put it out on a table with a sign. Just be aware that used equipment really doesn t fetch a whole lot, despite its value .

Pawn it. Instant money, with no hassles

What is alibaba.com? Im just not getting it? -

Been to the site, but still trying to figure out if it s a glorified Ebay, as in people from all over just selling and buying. Their ad says,...buy it, make it, sell it. Make what?

It s a business-2-business service. It puts manufacturers in touch with suppliers in touch with shipping companies etc.So if you re in business and looking for a supplier for something, for example, you d go to Ali Baba. And if you were a manufacturer looking for distributors, you d go to Ali Baba.

Do i get credit for people signing up to sell on my Avon site? -

I just started selling avon 3 weeks ago and im all of a sudden getting people interested in selling avon them selves... if someone goes to my avon site and signs up through there do i get the credit (money) for them signing up and how would i know if they did sign up?...

AVON is not considered an MLM. If a company that big was doing that they would not be around after 120+ years. If someone signs up through your site just make sure that they are putting your name in as the referer. If they do this you should get a referral bonus of 20 bucks for each one.

avon is MLM; and if you seek downline members, that isbreaking the law; thus, don t do it! I teach biz law

Where can I get a list of REO and BPO Companies for free? -

dreamstinvestments@yahoo.com

I got an excellent huge list of REO and BPO Companies at this website: www.listbankrepos.comwhen I bought their REO book Becoming a Master at Listing Selling Bank Owned Properties. The lists were very accurate too. I got my first REO listing one week after signing up with them.

Transition from store to internet? -

Hey I was wondering if anyone had a few examples of businesses that had stores around the U.S, and then made a transition to the internet. One example is Dell. They don t have stores anymore. You can only order the product online. Are there anyother businesses like Dell?Or Vice Versa. Any stores that started out as only on the internet, and then branched out to physical buildings. Thanks!

There are many really big companies that started in garages, moved to stores, then to internet. Or moved from stores to internet. Think Bill Gates, Nike, MAC, etc., But, it s a whole lot of work and takes an entirely different marketing strategy for each so you ll really want to research the differences in the specific industry you are interested in before trying it.

A rude shop assistant? New Look? -

Hi, What shall I do, I went to new look the one in bham by superdrug, and I went into the changing room, and as soon as I entered, she was rude to me rthis is all the things she did which made me angry.1)When she was counting my clothes she said let go, when I did they dropped on the floor and she said I didn t tell you to let go off the rest. 2)While I was changing she burst into the changing room cubicle I was in while I was changing which were curtained and said you re in here? 3) When I was leaving she acted like a was a true criminal she called other shop assistants and asked them help her count the clothes, like she needed help because I stole, I only had 4 or 5 items and she was counting again and again, and then she asked where is hook for one of the clothes and I told her I didn t have one, then she called she called some security person and the security person was nice and said it didnt matter. And during all this time she kept asking me to repeat what is said. Why was she like these towards me, she was nice to all white females who were shouting with their friends in the changing rooms, (by the way she was light skinned wore a scarf and was medium height and this was in new look next to superdrug in Bham city centre)Can I make a complaint I was going to but my friend said you don t have any witnesses so you can t and my friend was there and was shocked at how I was mistreated. What do I do I am so angryI

I have always wondered why some shop assistant, or helpers are so rude, it s as if they hate their jobs. This shop assistant, that you mentioned did not only commit one offence by she did many things which were unprofessional and inappropriate, you should not have been treated like this ESPECIALLY by a shop assistant their whole job is based on being friendly and she obviously wasn t, that is what their employability is based on, HOW THEY DEAL WITH COSTUMERS. I would complain to the Store s Head Office, and the store itself so that proper action is taken, make sure you write your letter well and make sure it sounds firm and proffesional they are more likely to take it more seriously, you should also find out her name, it s always on their tag, go in and see go one the same day and find out her name if she is rude to you again you have more things to complain about. Their shop adresses can be found on their websites. Finally, never ever shop there, every costumer counts so they have already lost one.Good Luck .

Just report it to the manager of the store making sure you can identify who she wasWait and see what the managers response is, then if you don t get any satisfaction, ask for the address of their head office and write to them

i think that that s just appalling.you really should complain, the store should carry out an investigation at least, what do you have to lose? it shouldn t matter that there were no witnesses, but even if it does affect justice at least you gave it a try eh?

go to the shop and ask for the manager and tell her you want to talk to her in private if that fails get head office number and report it to them, don t shop there again and demand an apology good luck.

Just make a lil complaint to the manager. Depends on your age also, if your young they might just brush off your complaint.Stand up for yourself!

Chill!Just don t shop there again!
