Hiring based on lookS? -

do you think hiring based on looks is unfair to hard workers ? especially those unemployed person because of recession?

Yes, it s unfair. But that s the way it has been and always will be. There s no objective way to discipline a company because they hire people with better looks over skilled workers. One personal example in my life was that I had 10 years of experience at my job and was really good at it - the department did need a new worker and the manager hired a blonde bimbo and she got my shift and I got put back down to a worse shift. She didn t know what the ***** she was doing (sorry about the language). Her and the manager had an affair (they were both married). Freakin ridiculous - but you can t really do anything about it.

How can I make extra money on the side? -

I m seventeen years old, and I can t find a job at all. I ve been looking all over but no one seems to be hiring. I m still trying to get hired, but I need to make extra money on the side. What can I do?

Perform household services. You can earn some money informally by letting friends, family, church members and others in your community know that you re available to clean their houses or apartments, or to take in ironing. If you find you have a knack and stamina for cleaning quickly and thoroughly, you can turn this into a regular, reliable way to earn extra money every month.

When you apply for a job don t concentrate on your need for money. Your job is to convince the employer that hiring you will benefit his company. To prove it, offer to work for a week and if they are not pleased with your work they don t have to pay you. Also, do some cold calling or drop in at local companies. If you can get in the door before they even run an ad your chances are multiplied. If you answer an ad, you compete with dozens of others.

There are many ways to make extra money, but how you make extra money is dependent on your current sources of income. Since your day job usually pays the bills, how can you make extra money? Heres some ideas to help kick start your brain into thinking about how to increase the earning side of the equation. These arent considered passive income (filling out opinion surveys for cash rewards does take time), but they can help generate some take-home pay to help reduce your debt and potentially get you some breathing room.

There are a lot of ways to make money on the side, you just need to be creative. Here are a few:-clean out your closet and sell old clothes-get a census job (the 2010 census will start hiring soon, they pay around $11 an hour. check out their website for more information).-find odd jobs on craigslist. There are plenty of people in your neighborhood that need help moving/cleaning. -make a blog/website and use google adsense to get paid. the internet is a great way to make money, and best of all, the possibilities are limitless.Check out this guide for more ways to make extra money and to help you start thinking out of the box:http://www.ehow.com/how_5556055_make-extHope that helps!

Buyer threatening feedback/report for quot;fakequot; item on eBay? -

Grr.. This has me really upset. I sell some fragrances. I have nearly 400 feedbacks. ALL are positive and not ONE is even neutral. I am a very honest seller obviously. Anyway, I had some Dolce and Gabbana on sale (boxed etc.) and she receives it and cries Fake fake fake! . She is threatening me (for no reason) and saying she wants a FULL refund and is going to open a fraud case against me and EVERYTHING.This really upsets me because there is no need for that. I am an honest seller and have NEVER had ONE complaint on ALL 200 D G perfumes that I sold. It s one thing if she wants a free product..but another to threaten me for a refund. What can I do? eBay doesn t seem to protect/care about sellers. And I am worried if she opens a file that they will freeze my account. I m not sure how that works to be honest. It sounds like she doesn t even want to send the item back. I have no idea what to do. This woman is not only threatening to completely ruin my positive feedback. She is saying she will open a fraud case against me! She is a liar and this is stressful to me because I don t even make money off selling those (maybe like $2 a bottle) and it s not worth the pain. But I just find it really upsetting. Someone like her could ruin the small steady income I use to barely scratch by in nursing school. I take it very seriously.I was thinking about reporting her and sending the header of her email to eBay...but what would that do? Then they will just start thinking I am a bad seller, etc. I m not sure.Someone help. What can I do to protect myself while resolving this? I told her I would refund her...but I would like the item to be returned. I have a feeling, from the tone of her previous email, that she will not be doing this.

I say it really isn t worth having a heart attack over. You can offer her a refund, or you can report her first to eBay. I think eBay might side with you, since you ve tons of good feedback.Side note: I know what you mean. I used to work as a freelancer on reverse auction sites. The buyers became very corrupt at the start of this year. I d do the work precisely as they wanted it, then they run off and try and get free service. One time they sided with one scumbag, and all the money that I earned goes back into his pocket, and a couple of other times I got paid, but they allowed him to leave unfair, false reviews. They wouldn t do anything about it.I had built a solid reputation on that site for a year, and just a couple of bad reviews did the trick to completely ruin my reputation. (The way their rating system is programmed doesn t help either.) So, instead of having 10 stars, it s now down to 3, just for a couple of idiots. I just decided to screw that site. They won t be getting any more commissions out of me!

I m a seller. I ve never gotten - feedback. But I figure that if you do enough sales, someone is going to get pi$$ed off.Offer her a refund if she returns the product. If she leaves - feedback you can leave a response. Beyond that, it s not worth pursuing or getting upset about.

The simple answer that I give in a situation like this is to make sure you have a return policy in your auction description. The few times I ve had a buyer return an item, I send a polite email to them, making sure they understand my refund policy, and ONLY after they ve returned it to me, will I give a refund. I also advise them to pay a little extra to get delivery confirmation, to prove it was returned to me. (I always get delivery confirmation when I ship an item to a buyer.)Don t refund until she returns it. You may get a negative, but you just can t give in to the threats.Good luck!

Is Trustedeal.com a good place to wholesale things? -

I want to import some products from China and found this website by chance. The price is really good. But are they reliable? Have anyone had experience with them? I d like to know.

No, but I like alibaba.com

I haven t heard the site yet. However I have known an online wholesaler in China, Myeglobal. It is a reliable site and its price is competitive too. Maybe you can try it.

Anyone know a legit service or company which helps small business owners apply for grant money? -

i m starting an online clothing line.

I am earning pretty good money (about $1500/month)( filling online surveys. There are many online survey companies but most of them are scam. Here is my favorite one:http://tra.kz/getpaidThey pay like a clock.. And they pay real good :))Cheers!

What is a good and legal work at home site? -

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people
