How do I calculate the requirements of a product in a country or region? -

I am writing a business plan to supply my products in the Middle east region and need some help. I am trying to find figures to support the market need for a home appliance. How do I get the rate of increase of house numbers in a country? How do I get the rate of increase of coffee shops in a country? How do I link the GDP with the number of units required? So many hows but perhaps this will be a good start for me filter down and get the figures i need.thanks.

Some wild ideas :1.Call the stores in Middle East and talk to their purchase dept. Ask them if you offer this product for the best price how large an order would they place. 2.Check how much coffee is imported into the country. Call up a coffee shop in middle east and ask them how much coffee they would buy if you provided it at better than best price in the market.Let me know if you figure out the answers. I would be interested in how you got the info.

Can Microsoft sue if I were to use one of their fonts on shirts I am intending to sell? -

I am setting up a t-shirt business, and I am using microsoft fonts such as magneto, times new roman, Old english, etc in order to write the messages on the shirts. I was wondering, can I be sued?

I don t think that MS owns Old English. They are probably not even the company that made it into a computerized format. For 1000s of different fonts check out www.dafont.com. some are free; some charge a fee to use.

NO. Fonts are not considered proprietary or patented.

If they can... then Microsoft has a lot of companies to sue since thousands of other businesses use their fonts

Good luck! :-)

What are some jobs that I can work from home? -

I want to be a stay at home mommy and I want to know what are some ways I can earn money by staying at home?

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

I know there are a lot of scams out there so be careful! Dont listen to the people though who say they are ALL scams. They are not actually ALL scams, just a lot of them are! LOL! In fact Yahoo Finance says that for every 1 legitimate home based opportunity there are 57 scams! At any rateI am actually a nurse and I love working outside the home but I know a lot of people want or need to work from home. About 2 years ago my sister finally found a legitimate company thats been in business for 20 years. I dont know too much about it but shes been doing it for 2 years now, about 20 hours a week and she makes about $40,000 a year. I know its legit because they have dozens of fortune 500 partners, they are members of the US Chamber of Commerce and of course, Ive seen her paychecks, LOL! She says she loves it! She gets to stay home with her kids which is pretty cool! Its not a job working for someone else but instead she sets her own schedule and she determines how much she makes. The more she puts into it, the more she gets out. I wish jobs were like that because I know I work way harder than some of the nurses here who are getting paid the same as I am! LOL I hope this helps you! Good Luck in your search!-Michelle

I have some money and i wanted o try to get in the adult industry? -

but im not sure if theres still money in porn like they used to be,

Because of the internet boom, it s a lot more difficult to make money at it because people are getting it for free. And from what I ve read, it s a business that is controlled by organized crime. You may still be able to make money in it, but it may be very difficult. Also realize that it s an industry, that while legal, has a lot of stigma attached to it. So if this endeavor fails and you have to look for a job working for someone else, if you tell them about what you did prior, there are many people that would be offended to hear about it.

They key to porn is creativity we all know what goes down but its how it is presented. Create certain themes and your good to go. Become a director for real life people and then dig deep into what people like to see that s it.And yes there is big money to be made but more money for the people behind the seens! Always remember that..

Im tring to make a purchase for my company and the seller is not responding in a professional manner. What sh -

What should I do to prove that I am legit and serious as well as capable of following up on my interest?

I m always shocked by this question, but maybe I shouldn t be any more. In my personal life, I m routinely surprised at how many times I have to call a company to get them to service my broken oven or to follow up on a bid. The other day, in frustration, I asked my non-responsive accountant: What do I have to do to spend my money with you??!! I then fired him. In general, I think ending a business relationship with people who treat you unprofessionally is the simplest and best response. But in the real world, that s sometimes easier said than done. For instance, the company might be the best fit for your needs. That s the reason so many consumers own the iPhone despite AT T s poor cell coverage. Or why we fly the airline that treats us rudely but takes us nonstop on the best schedule. I d say that we fire no more than one-quarter of the reps or companies we should. If you decide that firing the seller isn t an option, you need to go to Plan B: Making the company more responsive and respectful. The best way to do this is a two-step plan: First, contact your sales rep and explain that you ve been treated disrespectfully, and that you don t care for that. To make yourself perfectly clear, explain how you expect to be treated. (You might write all this out before hand, so you sound put-together.) Second, wait a short while to see how things change. If the relationship doesn t improve, go straight up the ladder to the owner of the company, with as many specific grievances as you can capture. Do this in writing, either in email or even better as a letter. I d be surprised if you didn t get the results you want. After that, if the problem is with the owner, you have only 2 choices: Change sellers or suck it up. Good luck!

Kevin has summed this one up perfectly, but I m going to chime in as I have also had way too many instances where people make it difficult for me to spend my money with them. I d encourage you to do everything in your power to find a new seller rather than suck it up. There are few situations where a seller is the only provider of what you need. One thing you can be nearly certain of -- if this is the treatment you re receiving when you re trying to become a customer, it can only become worse once you re already on board.

Find another supplier. If they re not acting professionally, don t do business with them. Don t feel like you have to prove yourself to them. They should be trying to earn your business.

Does yellow pages and yell.com work for your business? -

im looking into paying for a sponsored listing which obviously get priority etc is it worth i and has it worked for you?

I turned down the offer to buy an ad. The rep on the phone said they had 2600 searches last year for businesses like mine (print), which is pathetic considering there are 200 of us in a city of about a million. Mind you, I m business-to-business, and in a niche at that; if you re more consumer-oriented then an ad might be worth looking at. (Bearing in mind that there are a lot of ways to spend an advertising budget.) Ask them how many category searches they get for your industry in your city. They ought to be able to tell you, and watch out if they don t. You could also call some of your competitors who do have ads and see if they ve noticed a difference in sales.

nope it didnt work for me, perhaps because of the amount of Photographers in there though. It might work if theres only a few competition in there for you
