Can a ebay buyer get their money back if item was not as described if seller never recieves it back? -

I sold a mint condition iphone to a buyer that first refused to pick it up at the post office and filed a claim thru paypal saying he never recieved it. I shipped it out to him twice because the first time he never went to the post office to pick it up. The second time took a while also. I contacted paypal and informed them and spoke to an agent that called the buyer of the phone and kinda tricked him into picking up the phone. He finally picked it up and since then he has filed an item not as decribed claim against me. Which the phone was perfect mint condition. He told paypal it was not as decribed that it had over 10 scratches and the chrome around it was damaged and that he could email them pics. Well this guy buys a lot of iphones thru ebay so it is obvious that he emailed pics of a different phone or he tore it up. So he now has to ship it back to me with a tracking number. But since the phone is over 250 he has to get signature confirmation. My question is can he get his money back thru paypal if I never get the phone back in my possession? Thanks in advance.

I have dealt with paypal and ebay for years. I have also dealt with not as described items also. Once your customer provides paypal with the tracking # they are going to refund him. They are not going to wait until it is delivered, they are just going to verified that it was shipped. I have learned that with paypal almost 99% of the time they side with the customer and not with the seller. If you are going to sell large ticket items, by no means use paypal to collect your payment. Require a money order. Most likely he is probably going to keep your phone and send a different one back to you. What you need to do at this point is to check the tracking number to make sure that the item is being returned to you and if not notify paypal. They are going to refund the customer.

I have a home based alterations shop. Would accepting credit cards improve my business amp; what company to use? -

I have a home based alterations and window treatment shop. Since I need to attract more customers, would accepting credit cards increase my clientele? Also, what credit card company should I use with the least fees and no set up fees?Thank you,

mastercard and visa are the least expensive to take from a business standpointAmex and Discover charge pretty crazy feesyou would have to contact them for the specifics tho. i just worked at a place and found out that was why we didnt take Amex or Discover, they wanted way too much in fees from us

It could improve it, but that s not guaranteed. The more payment methods you offer the more potential business you have.Any company you go with that doesn t have any setup fees is going to make up for the setup fees somewhere. You d be better off paying a little upfront. It will save you a ton in the long run. The best company I know of is www.vantagecard.com. Talk to Ty. You will need to pay for a terminal or web terminal, but I doubt you ll find anyone with lower fees. Unlike most they provide great customer service and don t require you to sign a long term contract.

A lot depends on your volume of business.Getting set up with a merchant account is not free and there are upfront plus ongoing monthly fees.Talk to your bank - they will let you know what costs you would encounter.See source for more information on merchant accounts.

You must have correct information if you want to make money with work from home . You can use program that I use to make very good income every months. It works fast and It will work for you too. You can get more information from link below.

Help me suggest a stores name? -

I am currently saving to open a small town market for fresh foods; for example organic cleaned artichokes, picked green leafs, and more... I will also be preparing my own bread recipe. The purpose of this store is having ready-made healthy meals for working moms.I know it s not such a popular business, but I have a passion for cooking and food related businesses/events. I am looking for a catchy short name. Any ideas?

Naked food. Its based on a furniture chain in Texas called Naked Furniture.

Is their a dollar amount per job(handy man work) that can be made without having to pay taxes on? -

For example, if the job is $4,000, do i have to be taxed on this amount? Or would i be better off getting cash for this account?

If you want to be legal you need to claim it all. But, it doesnt mean you have to get taxed on all of it.Good record keeping of expenses that can be deducted against the job as well as fixed overhead determines NPBT, net profit before taxes. As a business owner, we do not have positive net profit until we exceed 1.5 million in sales. So, it is not the price of the job itself, but the overall variable cost of the job itself combined with your fixed overhead. As for cash, the IRS will expect you to honestly report and pay taxes on it as if it were any other compensation.Good Luck.Terms of use: Offer of assistance is basic advice and not to be construed to be providing legal or accounting advice. If you made over $400 in a year, you have to file taxes. It doesn t matter if you were paid in cash or check, the money needs to be claimed. As the other person said, if you claim expenses that reduces your taxable earnings. Also, you may think that you can get away without paying taxes. But unless you never buy any big ticket item, eventually almost everyone gets cost. When you do you will have to pay what you owe plus penalties.

Yes, anything more than $400 in one year needs to be taxed.

What is the best way to generate traffic to my website? -

the best way for any site to generate a lot of targeted visitors is to be featured in news, once you get featured in news, a whole lot of people start to talk about you, and more you get talked about, more traffic you will get.the best one i like is google news though.

This is a difficult task. I d suggest taking advantage of social networking opportunities. This includes adding your site to forum posts/signatures, emails, facebook, other blogs (making relevant comments), asking friends to visit and promote it and so on. Also consider adding share/Digg/Tweet this links to content and installing an Add This button: http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.phpMost importantly though, have compelling content that attracts people. If your site is good and useful, people will link to it and it will grow in popularity. Good luck.

The best way depends on how you define best.Free traffic: Social Networking, Blogs, Forums, Link ExchangesPaid traffic: PPC, Affiliate Networking, Direct and Indirect traffic buysYou will need to work with all of these areas and determine what works best for you.John Krugerwww.rout.com
