Sign up for the Calendar at Fairs and Festivals. The calendar has listings for fairs, festivals, craft shows, holiday bazzars, and music festivals. Then check with the person/company running the fair to see if a license/permit is required. Sometimes nothing is required other then paying them a fee for you vending stand. However, you may need a street vending permit/license and some places will require a health department permit. Los Angeles, for example, is a jumble of independent towns and neighborhoods, each with its own rules relating to street vending. There are a million rules on the books. Some are enforced, and some are enforced sometimes. Check the locality where you the fair is. You can also look on this website DC Street Vendor. Most of the info is about DC and NYC but also has links to other resources.Good luck!

My GM yells at employees in front of customers. Is this professional behavior? -
Your GM is an inept idiot. It is very inadequate to yell at employees, especially in front of customers, which leaves a horrific impression of the place. It is appropriate to call the employee in the kitchen or office, in order to reprimand. Your GM knows he is not capable of handling personnel or even the restaurant. His actions are the result of a complex stemming from ignorance and lack of authority. Besides, his yelling can also be considered harassment. Sooner or later he may find his match , who will address the issue with the Department of Labor.
It is unprofessional and illegal, this could be taken as harassment in the work place.
yes someone needs to do something.this sort of thing is like cancer to a business.eventually it spreads and will affect everything.this person needs to be counseled or fired for acting that way
Completely unprofessional. Have you thought of trying to get a manager position there so you can be in charge and show the others what a good manager should be like??
Whew...Maybe the Royal Pig will have his heart attack soon and a true professional will take his place.Good luck with your endurance.Bummer.
No, report him to HR, or call the employee help line
no.
Definitely go above her head and tell her boss. Her boss will be glad to hear the problem. Don t expect anything in return, however.Perhaps it is time for you to step up and become the GM, perhaps not. But the GM s boss is not going to fault you for bringing up something that could cost all of their employees. Remaining silent would be seen as incompetence, speaking up would be seen as making you management material. If you want to stay in this job a while, speak up.

Creative Ideas On How to Make Some Money? -
1. Step 1 Write effectively for eHow.com. This one may seem obvious, but take a closer look at the previous sentence - there s an emphasis on effectively. If you make the effort to learn from the eHow experiences of experts you ll save yourself a tremendous amount of time and dramatically increase your earnings. 2. Step 2 Design t-shirts. CafePress is a company that will allow you to submit t-shirt designs (funny phrases, pictures, etc.) at no cost to you and if a t-shirt design of yours sells you ll receive a portion of that sale. A perfect no overhead business for creative people. (A link to this website is provided in the Resources Section.) 3. Step 3 Blog about something that interests you. This is completely free and can be both a work at home revenue stream and a fun creative outlet or way to keep in touch with friends. Setting up a blog is extremely easy today. If you can manage an email account (or an eHow.com account) then you can manage a Blogger (Google s blog service) account. Once your blog is up and running apply for Google AdSense to monetize your blog without having to sell a product. 4. Step 4 Sell tickets. Reselling tickets for sporting events and concerts can be a fun and profitable business that you can run out of your house. Thanks to websites like Stubhub.com and eBay you can now sell tickets for events all over the country. Visit PresaleToday.com to find out in advance when popular events are taking place and also find valuable presale passwords for free. 5. Step 5 Sell books. Amazon.com is a great place to sell used books that you already have at your house, find at a yard sale, or find any number of other ways. When I was a college student I found that professors had tremendous amounts of unused textbooks that were free for the taking. Redistributing books online is a great way to share knowledge in a way that s most affordable for the purchaser and profitable for the seller. 6. Step 6 Sell your photos. Visit Big Stock Photo where you submit photos (or artwork) for other people to buy/download. When your pictures are purchased you split a portion of the sale with Big Stock Photo. You can make between 50 cents and $3.00 per download.
