I want to buy from Nike for resale.how do I go about doing business with them or another company? -

I want to do business with shoe and clothing companies.Need info on getting started.

you can buy them online, china have so many such stores , i know one online shop http://www.nike2nike.com/Brand-Shoes-c-1

You will need to first check with your local government agencies (state level) to see what licenses you need. I am in California and you need a business license, and you also need a State business sales tax number.A company you desire to buy wholesale from will require the State Business Sales tax number to prove you are able to sell clothing to end users and buy wholesale. The way you usually get in contact with these large companies like Nike is to contact them from their website and find out who is your local wholesale distributor for them (maybe a regional office of Nike) and depending on how they do business and how much you want to order...Sometimes they require you to give your bank information and a contact number and your bank account #. They sometimes prefer to have names and numbers/addresses of companies you have done business with so they can check that you are a good customer and you pay your bills. Also, with large companies who have a recognizeable brand name, they sometimes require pictures of your store location, etc. to approve you to sell their brand. They usually have a form for their accounting department that you fill out with all that information. Dont be discouraged by how much that all sounds like. Some companies are not that picky about it they just want to check you out. Another way to check into this if you dont require all of your items to be Nike, is to go to the garment district in the closest of Los Angeles or New York. There are alot of garment sellers there and you can just go pick things out and buy them as few as 6 to 12 items. There are some brand names there as well and some of them are available to talk to in the Market Centers. You can call and ask about where you might visit someone if you are near NY or LA. Check on websites like I said and speak to some of their sales people. They do want to sell their items so dont be intimidated. If you find you are not quite ready for all they require, then do all your state paperwork first (you learn alot from them in the state tax area about how to start your new business etc.) and then work toward your goal. Good luck!!

You ll have to contact the company s sales department and ask them to have a local representative (aka salesman ) contact you.

Ebay -- didnt place a reserve? -

I m trying to sell a digital piano and the auction ends in 25 hours. I was hoping to get at least 600 for it but the highest bid is 250. Can anybody with experience in selling things on ebay please offer their opinion on the chances of it going higher tomorrow? There are 58 people watching it. The current bid history is: -BidderBid AmountBid TimeBidder Details-plasticpen01( 3 ) 250.0105-Dec-09 12:21:54 GMT-sittincomfort( 19) 250.0005-Dec-09 13:21:47 GMT-sittincomfort( 19) 211.0005-Dec-09 13:21:11 GMT-rsephton1975( 13) 200.0103-Dec-09 13:38:24 GMT-plasticpen01( 3 ) 200.0005-Dec-09 12:21:44 GMT-sittincomfort( 19) 120.0003-Dec-09 13:04:51 GMT-morrena82( 9 ) 105.0002-Dec-09 22:32:48 GMT-sittincomfort( 19) 90.0003-Dec-09 13:04:18 GMT-froggyhoggy( 73) 85.8502-Dec-09 21:20:30 GMT-morrena82( 9 ) 80.0002-Dec-09 22:32:05 GMT-froggyhoggy( 73) 50.0001-Dec-09 18:43:04 GMT-morrena82( 9 ) 50.0002-Dec-09 22:31:54 GMT-morrena82( 9 ) 25.0002-Dec-09 22:31:40 GMT-froggyhoggy( 73) 20.0001-Dec-09 18:42:11 GMT-morrena82( 9 ) 11.0002-Dec-09 22:31:25 GMT-stephenw8006( 270) 10.0030-Nov-09 13:01:21 GMT

It s likely to go higher, most experienced eBayers bid in the last few seconds of an auction to avoid having people bid endlessly against them driving the price up. They are generally referred to as snipers. That being said there are no guaranties and it s possible that no one will bid and it will sell for $250

Ebay sellersquot; Why is eBay making us sign in twice in a row each time before we can check our sales? -

I presume everyone else is having to do this, too. I m finding it very frustrating because it already takes several minutes from the time I click on the eBay icon until the time I am prompted to sign in (I have dial up)--but having to do it twice in a row adds still more time to the process and I don t understand the purpose of them having us do it.

EBay checks whether you are logging in from the same computer as before as a security measure. I once had to call the to get things worked out when I got a new PC. Possibly, their system isn t reading your computer properly. You might want to get in touch with them about it. I had to have them set up an automatic call to my phone to verify me.

New business...Have a few questions? -

I am thinking about starting a small business for Website Hosting...I am based in England, although the websites i am hosting will be for people MOSTLY in America. I am not really sure about how this works but do i need to make myself VAT Registered, do i have to become a Limited Company of anything like that, or can i just go right ahead and start hosting peoples websites for a monthly cost?

As I do not know the business laws of your country, I suggest that you contact an attorney who specializes in that field to avoid any legal complications.

After years of trying and always wanting to find and grow a successful business, the so called secrets to success are so simple as to be embarrassing when you write them down. Anyway I am way past the stage of being embarrassed so here are my rules for running a successful business.Rule Number 1Is there a market for what you are proposing to sell?Don t listen to friends or family, they will generally agree with you out of politeness. Do some research on the streets, at work, at clubs, social events. In your specific case I would talk to sporting clubs and try to find out where they buy their stuff now?Talk to at least 500 people and more if you can. Don t ask them would they like to see a store or have a store like you suggest. Ask them this one important question? If there was a store, would you be be prepared to buy something? When you have finished this survey, you will know if there really is a market. Please interpret the research honestly and don t pretend to yourself there is a market when none actually exists. For example if they are currently buying say on eBay at cheap prices, how will you compete with that?Be very honest at this stage, it will save you a fortune.Rule Number 2Work out your overheads - ALL of them and don t try cutting corners. Lease of the shop, rates, taxes, lighting, heating, air conditioning, stock, staff, theft, security, your wages, advertising, time spent with suppliers, payment terms with suppliers, travel, expenses, overdrafts, loans, personal equity and there are more.Work them all out and don t compromise because costs NEVER go away.Rule Number 3Simple as this may seem revenue less costs is profit. Revenue in truth is meaningless or as they say revenue for show profit for sanity. It doesn t matter how much you turnover if it doesn t cover your costs. Work out your break even point. It s easy to do.Buy a football top at $30 Sell a football top at $50. You make $20. How many of those do you have to sell to cover your costs of say $0.2m dollars a year? 10,000 is a lot of tops so can you shift 200 of those a week?I know it is more complicated than that but you have to work out what the cost price and the retail price is for your line of products, and then do a forecast as to what sales you think you need to do. That will get you a break even point, and anything over that is profit. If so how much would they be prepared to spend a year on goods like this?Rule Number 4Do a proper business plan which is the most annoying thing in the world to do. In fact it s a pain in the rear but without something written down you won t ever know the truth. In Ireland where I live 3 out of every 4 start up business fails for this very reason. No research, no business plan and no planning.Follow these 4 rules and be honest with yourself. Rule 1 covers the market and the competition, rule 2 deals with the bit no-one really works through in detail. Rule 3 is find your break even point and Rule 4 applies only if you have done everything before it.If you do and things look negative stop it right there and kill the idea stone dead.If on the other hand it looks good, in other words there is a market, there is competition but you can compete, you know and understand your costs, you have your break even point, done a business plan and then done your planning, good luck and really go for it.Best single tip, start with the end in mind!

What degrees do i have to get to own and run a resturante? -

Some day i want to own my own resturante and i wanted to know what degrees should i go for school for to get to that point i am already considering culinary but need more information

Some colleges and universities offer a major in restaurant management that you can study, but you don t necessarily need a degree to open and run your own. Of course, it may be recommended to have an idea of the planning and implementation of the business, but there are many online resources that may guide in you in the right direction and better prepare you for opening a restaurant down the road. I would also suggest you check out The Small Business Administration (http://www.sba.gov/). This site will be your go-to site for understanding what is needed to start your own business. They provide instructions, guidelines and resources to get your business up and running. You may want to check out or bookmark this site, http://www.l-trondirect.com/ if you decide opening up your own restaurantt. My friend recently opened up a small retail store in town and he was looking for barcode scanners to track his inventory and purchasing point-of-purchase equipment, like those electronic signature pads you find at many stores near the checkout. This site was a huge help when it came to equipping the store to manage the product sold, capturing payment methods of his customers and whatnot. You may find this site useful in time.Best of luck to you!

Are online surveys for real? -

I see ads for online surveys for companies paying to fill out forms ,is it a scam ?/ Or real???

No they are fake! They are just a figment of your imagination. They are real and some can be quite rewarding. To piggy back off of frank, with NPD Research, the prizes from the contests are great but even better the info you put into the survey gets sold to companies in different industries. If the companies are smart they will use that data to change their products or services. I think its cool

Don t bother. The things you get are stupid...like subscriptions to magazines you would never pay for anyway...I would say NO.

They are not real. They are there to scam you out of your money.
