Can a new business owner be sued for prior owners transaction? -

If this is a corporation and the corporation is being sued then absolutely. If the company is a partnership or sole proprietorship, than it may be possible to get the suite dismissed or redirected to the prior owner. If the prior owner committed some sort of fraud or knew about the impending lawsuit before selling to you, then you could sue them for bad faith or breach of duty or something like that.Realistically, you should find an attorney and review the situation and your options. Lawsuits are extremely expensive no matter what the outcome, so settling or dealing with this as quickly as possible is always the best bet.

Hi Sarah,Often times if you can prove that the transaction took place prior to you being there, you should be in the clear. Since there are so many different areas that this could cover, it s probably best for you to consult an attorney. As a business owner, your 3 best friends are a good lawyer, a good accountant and a good personal banker. If the previous owner was aware of the pending lawsuit, that could also be an issue in your favor. To your Success,Fernando

Where can i look for jobs online? -

im pregnant and my boyfriend is looking like a mad man for a job in northwest indiana, its very hard since the economy is down right now, does anyone know any sites he could apply for jobs in northwest indiana? other then craigslist.

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online.

monster.comyahoo jobscareer builderindeed.comDo a search on job websites and plenty should come up. Many are national (or international) so you can search for jobs all over the country or world. Many local areas also have websites geared to their area (such as for my area it s emeraldcoasthelpwanted.com) so check for something like that also. Also check your state and local (county?) government websites for job opportunities, as well as the websites of any large businesses in town (we have a lot of defense contractors in my area, several hospitals, and a huge service industry since we are a tourist area). If there are any military bases nearby, he should also check usajobs.gov for possible opportunities on one of the bases.Good luck!

I don t know of many online resources that are nationwide besides the basics like craigslist and monster.com. There is a new one called backpage.com that is just like craigslist but I don t know if its of any use yet!I would like to let you know that I am a Mom of 5 and one on the way! I have been working from home for 14 months now with a legitimate Company, building a real business and earning a real residual income! I help others have the opportunity to work from home as well. I will help you decide if this is a good fit for you or not. I will not just direct you to some link to sign up with and no support from there! I hope to speak with you soon!

Can i really work from home ? -

Undoubtedly there are many job opportunities where you can work at home. However it really boils down to how motivated you are, and whether the job is possible to sustain you and/or your family. Here I will not route you to one of those ridiculous sites that profit from you through an M M or such like scheme, as many here are wont to do. Instead you can browse through a list of possibilities through the legitimate (and non-profitable) link below. The site is called About.com, a very useful general information provider. Good luck to you, and since you re in Saudi Arabia, Insha Allah.

What are the alternatives to shredding papers ? -

I have many documents to get rid of, i need the space, there is too much to shred, will dunking them in bleach work ?

You can make briquettes out of them. In the UK they sell a press for them. I involves soaking in water and adding something, then slopping the mixture in to the press. You can heat your house with the recycled wills/marriage licences/love letters/credit card statements etc.. It ll make you feel warm all over.

If you have a garden you could buy a dustbin size incinerator that doesn t cost too much. The ash can then be spread on the garden, especially where you don t want snails to eat plants.Don t try to burn the paper flat, but get each piece and screw it up. Then it will burn much easier and faster, so it won t take long to get rid off. Of course screwed up and not flat, it will take up more room, so you will not be able to put quite so much in, but you can always add more as it burns down. Have a bucket of water ready, check out the wind direction, and make sure you are not standing where the smoke will drift and most important - make sure non of your neighbours have washing out and you do it during the time allowed we have to do it evenings or weekend.I have had to do this a couple of times, but do try to shred as much as possible.

buy an argus incinerator the square one with big holes in it, as they are very efficient, shred enough paper to fill 4 or 5 carrier bags, (not cross chopped) use this as a base to get a good fire going, put some old wood on and when you have a hot base of burning wood, you can burn the rest of your documents with ease, it works better if there is a wind.

Burning should do it - although you may not be able to have a bonfire in/on your property. And you d have to cover the bin to stop burnt paper from blowing everywhere. You can hire companies who will come out to your house to do a big shredding job (UK).

Hi if you have a metal bucket you could burn them ,remembering to burn only a few at a time and keep some water near by in case of a flare up.

Getting Started with Mary Kay? -

My cousin is a Mary Kay rep and has been pretty sucessful with it. She has talked me into becoming a consultant. I am working on getting my first few parties set up so I will have money to buy the inventory. My biggest problem is that I don t have a clue how to get people interested in having parties. Most people have tried it or don t care. I think the best way to market would be to women in their twenties that haven t been too over exposed to MK yet. I just don t know how to start. I do not want to be pushy with people I do not know. Does anyone have advise?

Not sure of the proper terminology, but the person who s the next step up the pyramid should be advising you of sales techniques. My wife would go to places like salons, bridal boutiques, flower shops, and ask to put out a box for a drawing for a gift card from that place. People could put in their business cards or fill out a form to enter, and she would check it periodically. Those become your leads, and then you call those people to try to book parties. That s just one way to do it at least.
