I have been working with cell phones for a long time and decided i love it so much i would like to open my own business. I have been looking everywhere online and cannot find the answers to my questions. The numer one thing i need to know is how i would work with the carriers?

You have to get approved by a provider before you can start selling their type of cellphones. I included a website that tells you about at t. It takes a lot of planning you have to have a storefront or kiosk before they will give you permission. When they do give you the ok, then you will get everything else you need.

How do you make quick money? -

what is a quick way for an 11 year old boy to make money fast.P.S. I m new to my neighborhood so nobody knows me

Wash cars door to door. Take a bucket, rag and charge $5 a car.

I m a 15 year old high school student and I know what it feels like to be in desperate need of money. Recently, I came across an awesome and legit website. There is absolutely nothing to buy or sell; you just make money doing what youre already doing. It s absolutely free to become an active member. Check it out: http://www.peoplestring.com/?u=sanjolipahal

Finish school, college and university, get a job and work hard, in the mean time maybe you can do paper round on the weekend, or was neighbours cars in the summer.

Do chores and ask for an allowance.

There s no quick way to make money. You need to work hard.

Do you think competition is good or bad for business. Why or why not? -

I think its good for the community because it forces the business to come up with new ways to beat the competition. In other words, innovate, meaning come up with something new.if there wasn t competition from other companies, would the business bother to offer something new ?how far would the technology world have gone without competitors ? think about how far we ve gone in the last 20 years, and how much of that was because we needed something new to keep us entertained :)

gd b cs it guarantees quality to customers and keeps the business working out innovative ideas.bad since it drives one to resort to unethical practices and also leaves the market stale. -bharathi bhaskaran Chennai India.

What happens when you have no choice in the market place? You get shafted. You are forced to pay outrageous prices for a product that might not quite do what you want it to do.

What is the best way to advertise your business on the web? -

I recently opened a small online business. I need to advertise so that I can get clients. I don t want to waste money on things that don t work.. so...What s the most effective way to advertise on the web and what s worked for you?

First good luck with your site.. There is many ways ... 1- Being here on answers.. you can go to your specialty category, and try to answer questions honestly (With subtle hints about your site and a link ??)2- emails.. go to the sites / blogs/ etc... which are about your subject of business.. know people from there.. and start making email ads.. you could send daily numerous emails to people whom you know interested in your products , etc...3- adding your site informaTION with business cards.. 4- Flyer s and business cards.. and you have to go to nearby colleges/ universities... etc... (And the near cities as well).. and pass them or hang them on the boards..5- Trying to contact other small business sites as well.. and make a deal with the owner of each site for swapping / putting each other site ads on each one site .. etc....And there is plenty more.. sure idea s .. yet you would have to pay me for consultation.. LOL.. Any help i will be more than glad.. Best wishes for you and your business.. have a great day ..

You can be active on forums related to your website or post comments to other post so other users will see your name and click on your profile. Post your website link to your profile so they can access it. It s one of the most effective things why people earn from selling pictures from flickr even if it doesn t cost much to buy photos. Check out this tutorial for that: http://websitecoaching.net/is-there-a-good-tutorial-to-making-an-ecommerce-website/

Use this company. They are HUGELY popular but also still pretty new, so their prices are still affordable, haha! I ve used them myself 3x they are super memorable catchy. Normal advertising might get you calls or clicks, but I ve found because of the memorable personal nature of the service they provide, actual dollars in sales are the result, not just calls or clicks. It s really cool because people remember it see it all over the web.Pretty girls (or guys) wear your website or company message on a t shirt all day, take photos of themselves blog about your company. Then they blast it on facebook, youtube, myspace, all of the social media sites, PLUS search engines over over all month.I ve used them myself 3x they are super memorable catchy. Normal advertising might get you calls or clicks, but I ve found because of the memorable personal nature of the service they provide, actual dollars in sales are the result, not just calls or clicks. It s really cool because people remember it see it all over the web. Enjoy!

The best way is word of mouth, now you can go about this by spamming which is never good so search forums related to your product, say your selling avon then message a womans health/beauty website owner and see if it would be ok to post your link to your website.make a myspace just for your company make a facebook a twitter profile ect. but most of all is word of mouth so advertise for free on forums and groups then bookmark it add your site to google search add alot of tags related to your product anything remotely close to relating...Good luck hope i helped

Candles - what do you think? -

Hi,I have been making candles from home and selling them to friends/family/peers for a while now, with some great feedback. I m ready to create a website and start selling online, and will be looking at opening a store within the next two years. What I would like to know is:1. What makes you purchase a candle?2. Have you or would you purchase a candle online - If so what is the driver? Why did you purchase or would you purchase that candle online? Is it because it is already from a well known company?3. If you currently buy one specific candle brand, what is it you like most about that brand of candle?4. If you could change anything about the current candle(s) you use now, what would it be?5. Would you be open to purchasing from someone who offers freebies with each sale?6. Are shipping costs a deterrent in purchasing online?I m trying to gather some information to help me along my way, so any help is much appreciated. Anything above and beyond what I have asked is welcomed!

There are quite a few retailers that sell candles including gift shops and supermarkets. Opening a store is a big step and you would possibly need to include other products as well to maintain a weekly source of income. For example, candle holders and bases, incense, wrapping paper etc.. as candles make a great gift idea.People who purchase products online expect to pay delivery costs. You would best to send out brochures, flyer s and leaflets possibly with pictures of your candles to businesses, local housing, and wholesalers. You might get a good following from local friends and family but they are less judgemental than retail people.

Michelle, sounds good. There s something called eBay.

I love candles, there s something soothing about the softness of candle light and the fragrance is a bonus. But, I like soft, natural fragrances like lemon, musk, sandalwood, not some of the irritating and overwhelming fragrances you find in some of the mass market stores. Generally, I purchase votive candles, but I do like pillar candles as well, it s just that the cat likes to tackle things in my apartment and a lit pillar candle is too much temptation for her. If I walk into a store and see a candle display, I m over there right away. I look for texture, color, fragrance, and style. Soft, gentle colors with a sandalwood fragrance are my favourite ones. I ve never purchased candles online, but I would if I knew the company had a reputable online business. But, I d rather buy from The Shopping Channel (QVC is the U.S equivalent I believe) since I have done business with them before and their return policy is fair. I buy one particular votive candle mainly because of its scent and because the store is accessible. I am handicapped and use a scooter which means many small stores are off limits to me because the aisles are too closely set up. That would mean an online candle business would be ideal for me to make purchases from if I felt secure using my credit card. I would definitely purchase from a business that offers freebies. Even if it meant getting points for each purchase that I could redeem for merchandise. Shipping costs are a big factor as to whether or not I make a purchase. I get free shipping with Amazon and an art supply business that I buy from and that s one of the reasons I do business with them.Something you might consider is to rent a booth or kiosk at a market during the holiday season to see what candles are most popular and ask customers to fill out a brief survey. As an incentive, everyone who fills out a survey is entered into a contest to win a gift basket. Make up a gift basket of your products and have it on display. This would also be an item you could take orders for and make up with specified fragrances and candles. Maybe have a few different sizes of gift baskets on display and make up a small flyer depicting your merchandise as well as the gift baskets. Have these flyers on hand at your kiosk for customers to pick up and mail some to businesses in your area with the idea that they make great gifts for their staff and clients. Hope this information helps you! When you do open your store, please make sure it is accessible and that means that the entrance is level or has a ramp for entry. The aisles need to be spaced far enough apart for a power chair or scooter and there needs to be room for these types of mobility aides to turn around or turn into the next aisle. :)

If you have just a bank card is that enough for an ebay account or do you need a credit card? -

A bank card is good enough for Ebay, yes.

If you mean a Paypal account, you need a debit card, credit card, or bank account to go with it.

Do I need both city and county business licenses? -

I m starting a home based, internet drop ship business that requires a fictitious name statement as well as a business license. Do I need a need to be licensed with both the city and county? I m in Sacramento, CA.

only city, however, the reseller license you normally get in county so if that is the case in Sacramento, yes sure

depends on what the county requires - every county/state/town is different - you will need a state sales tax license also, along with possibly a resale certificate to avoid paying sales tax on items you will be reselling

Legal Advice for purcase of flat what i have now in posassion? -

i am stying in a flat since one year, @ Rs. 3500/- (including mentenance) but the owner of the said flat did not provide me the rent agreement and the owner sell the said flat some one on 12.11.09 without any intimation me. The new owner asked me to vacate the said flat on 12.12.2009. I am telling him for postpone to March, 09 whenever my daughter s exam completed. But the new owner charged me @4500/-. I want to purchase the same, please send me the legal advice for stay order and purchase the same.

I think u are a bit confused.Do you want to purchase the flat or possess it till march next year?If your owner has already sold his flat then you have to accept the new owner but you can pursuade him to give you some time to vacate it.But be sure you cannot say that you want 4 months to vacate the flat.you have to abide by the terms set by the new owner.

What are the challenges of starting and owning a small business? -

Enter more detail here (Optional)

Wow. It would take a week to completely answer that question and some answers would depend on what type of business. Biggest challenge is typically capital. Next is sales/marketing. Employees can be a headache. Self employment taxes.

LOL... what ISN T a challenge when you start and own your own business?? ;-)But seriously, there s a few that stand out in my mind:1. If your small business consists of just yourself, as is the case with many small businesses starting out, you have to do EVERYTHING yourself. A typical day for the small shop owner might include serving customers, working with suppliers, promoting your business, attending a local chamber of commerce meeting, paying bills, cleaning the toilet, vacuuming the floor, etc. Dealing with the array of many disparate tasks requires incredible discipline and multitasking abilities. 2. Getting through the initial period where you re not yet profitable. Many businesses involve substantial up front investment. It takes time for enough revenue to come in to offset these expenditures. That can be stressful, but hard work and patience can help this process along.

I have a 2 store coffee company with roasting capabiities is now the time to franchise -

we are a small coffee roasting company that is solid and does well we are selling on line and wish to grow is franchising a possible move

Merlin, franchising is possible, but you need to recognize it is a completely different business from the one you re in. Sure, you ll still be in the coffee world, but more importantly you ll be in the franchise-sales and servicing business. That takes a significant shift in mindset since it s a sales job instead of a coffee roasting or customer service one. Not to mention, you ll be entering the business-to-business arena rather than the consumer business. Of course, costs are a major issue too. You should expect to spend more than $100,000 creating and marketing your franchise concept, capital you won t have available for your own stores. None of that means that franchising is a no-go, of course. I just want you to understand that franchising your concept is quite different from deciding to add more stores or sell your beans elsewhere. Recognize that this is a huge decision and one you could avoid by continuing to expand your own store model into additional outlets in your city or into others. For more on this issue, I recommend reading Mark Siebert s very smart piece on Entrepreneur.com in which he runs through 10 items in the decision tree, ranging from business concept to entrepreneurial personality. http://www.entrepreneur.com/franchises/f

lots of expense and red tape involved with franchising a business and this economy is not a good time to try doing that - keep going as you are, save as much money as possible and if things are still going good in a couple of years after the economy recovers - rethink it then - maybe open a 3rd store sometime in the next 2 yrs first

Internet Business What is a good one to start? -

Whats the best internet business to start? with low start up cost with great outcomes? anyone have any answers?

HelloInternet buisness yes good means to earn at home for that you have to log on to http://www.buisnessbookkeepers.com.au.thanksLyn

There are several different areas you can work in for internet business, but keep in mind that hard work will be a big part of any plan.bigcartel.com allows you to sell things ranging from paintings to CDs to clothing. If you re creating any sort of artistic material, that would be a great place--very low startup cost (it s all explained on their site) and the outcomes can be great if you market yourself well.Don t bother with social networking sites. News ideas are pitched for these sites literally on a daily basis (I ve spoken with venture capital people and this really is the case). Think about it: ideas are presented *daily*, and yet the only social networking sites that anyone really cares about are Facebook and Twitter (MySpace has been dramatically declining recently).Providing a service-oriented business online will likely have higher startup costs, since you will have to develop a more elaborate web site and you will need other people working with you to provide whatever services you may offer.Things such as web hosting, custom printing, etc. are fairly market-saturated--plenty of web sites already do these and many other things, and the *only* way you will have improved sales over them is to do something radically different that changes that particular line of business (this is why MySpace took off as it did originally--other social networking sites existed, but it just did things entirely different than had been done before).Basically, you need to come up with a product or service that there is a market demand for, or you need to think of a way to improve an existing business. The key to this is to learn to let ideas come to you naturally throughout the day; you probably already say to yourself I could do this better or I would do this differently ; this is what I mean by letting ideas come naturally. You will only become frustrated with yourself if you sit around intentionally trying to think of something. Sitting around and attempting to invent new products or services does no good because you are not being out in the real world (remember, life experience). It is being in the real world that allows you to recognize a market need and then fill it with your new product or service. After you come up with a product or service through your reality-based experiences of market demand, *then* you can go online with it.

Would this business idea work? -

Ok I would start out buy taking out a loan 2 start a door to door meat selling business. Once I Pay it off with the business I would buy another shop somewhere far from there and do it again. They make really good money and think I could do good if it worked out but I dont know if theres any hidden fees or things I would have to worry about. Thanks!

the first ans about the steak delivery rocks.where i used to live there was a steak place that delivered and it was so awesome.simple, just steaks ans sides like potatoes, fries, salads.it was so nice, and when i moved they dont have anything like that here and i miss it!

Actually, a blanket statement like a recession is the best time to start a business may not be universally true, but is isn t false either. Many businesses do well even in a recession. If you can survive starting up in a recession, by doing your homework, knowing your market, using your capital effectively, and operating efficiently, you will do REALLY well when things pick up. Besides, you can get some KILLER deals on property, rent, equipment, inventory, you can get contract concessions, you can get all kinds of bargains in a recession from suppliers and other businesses liquidating. A recession forces you to do your homework and operate efficiently. Many businesses fold because they started when things were fat, and can t survive when things get bad because they are not truly viable in the long term and not designed to weather bad economies.

Uhh...to be honest I m not sure. I would reccomend researching demand for it. A better idea might be Mean-On-Demand where you could pizza-like deliver high quality steak to peoples homes. I should be less expensive. Hell you could even hire a rancher and give him a cut of the profits for freash, high quality meat. You, I assume, would be the butcher and hire a few high schoolers as delivery people.Set it up online and have a few panphlits every where, could be a good idea.Look for locale events to advertise at, that are meat or home cooking, BBQ enthusiast related.Sound like an Idea.-You know, a recession is the best time to start a business.

VERY Hard to do without proper knowledge YOUR going to fail ! BELIEVE me i tried already and lost $ YOU want to get into with a company that provides YOU with a way to share from advertisers $ which online alone will be $150 Billion $ this year !OF course it should BE NO cost for YOU and all the resources are provided TO you FREE of charge ON how to advertise HOW to make $ How to get more people to leverage YOUR earning power !

You know, a recession is the best time to start a business. This guy is an absolute retard. Recessions are when business is the most competitive. Its the....worst time to start a business.

Starting up as a Property Developer, How much do i need to start with? -

Me and 3 of my friends are looking to start up, we have read up on a lot of different forums, but i have not really found the exact answer that i am looking for. i just want to know, when we come to approach a bank/building society or any other investor, how much do we need to have in a joint account already, and how much are we wanting to ask for, we want to start small, like a basic 2up 2down, or maybe a run down bungalow ? any advice please ?thanks

Difficult question to answer. It would really depend on the property you are considering buying. Cost of mortgage, repairs, upgrades, insurance, carrying cost etc. Impossible to say what the cost of any of those would be without having seen the property.

Well that s a bit like asking how long is a piece of string!!! It depends on what type of property you want to start with and how much it will cost in your area. Think about what you need . For example:Property purchase price = 100,000 with an estimated cost of renovation at 15,000 - so you need 115,000. You also need 5,000 to cover fees, surveys, insurance, planning applications etc and a contingency fund of 10,000. So that brings it to 130,000. You then need money to live off until the house is sold or let. You also need to sell the property at a profit, or rent in out at a figure that takes into account loan interest or loss of interest on any capital you have personally laid out.The property market is still not stable, you obviously have no experience and you want the business to provide a profit for 4 people. Having 4 people involved is 3 too many! A venture like this that starts out with just one property is really a venture for one person in order to maximise profit. It is going to be a very small profit when split 4 ways! The only way you will get a property at a low cost is to go to auction - beware, because they aren t always the bargain that they seem. And there are experienced developers out there who are having a tough time of it in today s market. To be honest, I think you are going to struggle to make this venture profitable due to lack of funding and lack of experience.

As a rough guide, you need at least a 25% deposit on the property you re interested in buying. That just covers the mortgage part. On top of that you need funds for renovating and, as Cala says, for planning fees etc. Always include at least a 10% contingency in case of unforeseen problems. If you go to auction, make sure you ve checked the property you re bidding on before the auction. It s too late to discover serious structural problems after you ve bought it. When the hammer comes down, you re in a legally binding contract.Draw up a legally binding agreement between the 4 of you. In any business, there are always disputes between partners and more often than not they re about money. Having an agreement in place can take the heat out of many disputes. The actual amounts that you need will depend on what part of the country you re in and what kind of property you want. A 2 up, 2 down will be a lot cheaper than a bungalow. They re always expensive because of the plot they re on. The experienced developers snap them up quickly.Beware, too, of property investment companies that promise to help get your property business started. Some ask you to pay funds to them and there s a recent case of one where both the partners are facing bankruptcy and investors have lost their money.Draw up a plan for your business so that you all agree on what you re going to do and you think about all aspects of it. Property development is a business, even if you think it s something you ll do in your spare time. Speak to your local Business Link, if you re in the UK. They re very good on helping with plans and also have a lot of knowledge about who to approach for finance and how to do it.Good luck!

Is It hard to get into the music business? -

It s easy to be in the music business really. Find an artist and manage them. Pick up a guitar and amplifier and join the first band you meet. Getting in isn t the issue - it s a question of can you make money?Making money in the music business is very very hard these days on both the artist side and the executive side. Record labels have laid off hundred of talented people who have flocked to other music related jobs like publishing companies, music supervision, music management etc. There are also more musicians out there than ever before both by the number of instruments being sold (according to NAMM) and by the fact that the tools of the internet have allowed everyone to get digital distribution without much difficulty. So easy to get in - damn hard to make a living at it.Best of luck,Rick

entertainment in itself is a very difficult industry no matter what kind of background you come from, what kind of school you attend, and even how good you are.you need a lot of luck, and your talent needs to be recognized by the right people. whether you re a performer or a representative.music is by far the most difficult of all in entertainment, there is less money in music than any other in the business, and finally, music is a failing industry. with illegal downloading, the margins in the music business are dropping by the minute.bottom line..people are constantly losing jobs in the music industry, with no new jobs opening up.

No, but it s hard to make a living and STAY in the music business. 99.9999999% of musicians have a day job. Only 1 in 10,000 can make a living at it.

Only if you do not go on American Idol or similar show.

I want to start an online business...? need help? -

i wanna sell make up online..someone said the best place is to buy it cheaper from overseas (japan) and sell it here in the uk...but are the international shipping charges alot?

There are always international shipping charges and they vary depending on who you buy from. Also there may be import taxes especially because your importing them to sell rather than personal use. Make sure you look into where your going to buy from and then ask customs about import taxes. Be sure to give them the FULL details of what you intend to do, they will be more lienient if they believe you to be honest and truthful. Additionally, find customers first. Ask around to who would seriously buy from your site as you dont want to go through all the trouble of importing to only find out that noone wants to buy your products.

If makeup is the way you want to go, Do extensive research on ebay first to see what is selling and for how much. Then you must click on the completed listings on the right side of the page and see how many have been sold and for how much. Then check out the buyers other items they have for sale. Now you must find a manufacturer that you can buy comparable product or better from overseas (probably china on this one) , now the trick is to buy in major bulk! the more you buy the cheaper it will be and the more profit you can make! Remember RESEARCH!!!

well if the make up thing dont work u could always work from home for google u can get paid quit alot for jus sendin links to differennt webites and u dnt ave to sell anything to make money its easy its in the comfort of ure home and ure makin big money im talkin maybe $1.000 a week if u send more links well look it up in google adds it tells u all there !!

I want to know a little about Businesses? -

I want to know a little bit about starting a business. I asked my friend who really has no experience in business that if starting a business would involve alot of numbers and he said nope actually business involves mainly creativity and an understanding on consumer trends, numbers are almost all taken care of by computers I don t really believe what he says sooo I thought I might have better luck on here.

I would say your friend is wrong. You may not have to be a mathematician or an accountant, but you do need to be able to have a basic understanding of financial statements - and these involve numbers - mainly monetary figures. Yes the computer can do much of the adding and subtracting, but if you don t understand how the financial statements work, you will have a tough time running a business.

Things I look for in a business are free or low cost to join, free or low cost to run, some level of training and/or support, a website or information on how to create one, and a simple duplicatable business success system. The company and people should support and train you because when you make money they make money. I really like businesses that can be run part time, from home, and online.

What i need to open a coffee shop? -

Ok so I have been doing a lot of thinking about what i want to do with my future. I have chosen to open a coffee shop. I have my reasons why, I know i like it, that s all said and done.now the question is what do i need to do before i start my venture? Degree in business? i will serve food so food certifications? what else?

How about you WORK for a coffee shop and LEARN each and every duty within it, and SAVE all your money till the old owner (that taught you so much) decides to sell it on to you, with all its clientele that knows you, you ll know the suppliers etc you just carry on going through the motions then.. it s just a matter of finding a clever bank manager that will lend you 3/4 of it at reasonable and FIXED interests...

A lot of start up cash, the ability to live off savings for the first few years, as you won t make any money. The need to hire trustworthy people, a lawyer, accountant, a surveyor to find the perfect place, the ability to buy products cheaper than the competition, thus start saving now!

Starbucks will just move in next door and eff you. Next idea...

Im thinking of starting a website does anyone have some website name ideas? -

im going to be selling clothing (women and men), shoes, handbags, etc.

how about Online Threads threads, bags and shoes.

How much money would I initially need to open a small fashion retail store? -

??

depends on where you live, the cost of licenses, and the cost of place your going to sell out of, not to mention the initial cost of your merchandise. for example if you rent space in a mall or a street front store will you be required to pay rent, utilities and whatever decorating or fixtures your going to need.if your on the main drag the cost would be higher than if your on a hard to find dead end street.are you making any of the clothes yourself or buying wholesale?use this calculatorhttp://retail.about.com/library/bl_start

Your first stop should be visiting The Small Business Administration (http://www.sba.gov/). This site will be your go-to site for understanding what is needed to start your own business. They provide instructions, guidelines and resources to get your business up and running.I know the thought of opening up a fashion retail store may be in its very early stages, but you may want to check out or bookmark this site, http://www.l-trondirect.com/ once you get it up and running. My friend recently opened up a small retail store in town and he was looking for barcode scanners to track his inventory and purchasing point-of-purchase equipment, like those electronic signature pads you find at many stores near the checkout. This site was a huge help when it came to equipping the store to manage the product sold, capturing payment methods of his customers and whatnot. You may find this site useful in time.Best of luck to you!

Check out Entrepreneurs Small Business Magazine. They have start up business manuals and may have one for fashion retail. The books tell you everything you need to know. Before you buy one, visit the local library because they may have one you can sample.

Tips for starting a neighbourhood snow shovelling service? -

Any tips would be fine.Finance/prices, setting up, advertisement, etc. Any advice is appreciated :)

Start a survey now... Just write up a questionaire that asks the following: We are doing a marketing survey, and would appreciate your opinion in this matter. No name is required, and there is nothing to buy. * approximately how big is your yard?* do you shovel your own snow (or have snow blower and such?)* if so, how much of it do you do? (just door to curb, etc.)* how much would you pay for such a service when it snows?* if such a service is retained, power tools or manual shoveling?* any other opinions you have on this, please write in below. Then knock on each door and see if you can get a live person, or if not, leave the survey taped to the door, with a note that you ll come back for it in 2 days, just leave it taped on the door as well. Once you *have* the market data, you can then calculate costs, like cost of shovels, hiring help, renting / buying power equipment, and so on, and determine if the price people are willing to pay will make you a profit. Advertising can be done almost the same way: door to door tie a brochure to someone s door knob or mailbox. However, keep in mind that it s better to start a real corp to do this, for liability issues, as you do want to buy insurance and stuff like that, in case something happens, you know. :)

How long is one business day and what does it mean? -

i was wondering because when i order shipments, they always say, 1 or 2 business day

You ll get it between 1 and 2 days, not counting any weekends. So if you order on a Friday, you won t get it until Monday or Tuesday.

a business day is monday to friday usually 9 to 5 .. this is the time when the ups/fed ex. etc etc are at work collecting and distributing mail .. they do not work on weekends and therefore if you order something on a friday you will not get it until monday or tuesday !hope this helps !

9 am to 5 pm is standard but sometimes 8 am to 4 pm

A business day just means a week day, Monday thru Friday, it does not include weekends.

The only grants available to individuals are for college.Generally, you can not get a grant to start a business.

How much money does ebay get if i sell something for...? -

If i sell something for $220 how much money will i actually get ?

The answer you want is dependent on several things: 1. The initial listing fee is dependent on what category you list in and the starting price of the item. 2. Is it going to be an auction listing, store listing, or fixed price listing?3. Are you going to use any of the extra fee items such as Buy It Now or a bold listing.4. Your final value fee based on a selling price of $220 on a regular auction would be approximately $9.02.

A lot, but usually they let you know.

Question about family business? -

My cousin has a farm that is worth $100k (total assets-total liabilities).I want to invest $10,000 (10%) in it in order to gain a controlling interest.Do I need an accountant to do that?I am not going to work in the farm, I am only going to invest money in it.The farm makes a net profit of $30,000 a year. How much profit should I get? 10% ($3,000) or less?

If the ownership is not being transferred to you over time then you should get a return on your investment based on what you invest, if he s going to give you 10% return on your investment then it would be $1,000 per year.

Please describe a small business youd like to own.? -

What is it?Why do you choose it?How to run it?Thank you!

My dream business is to rennovate an old movie theater into a a brew view microbrewery. We make our own beer and run classic movies ranging from Caddyshack to Citizen Kane and try to offer the right beer/food pairing for the movie that s showing. Except when we show Soylent Green. Because as you know, Soylent Green is made from people, and that s just nasty. We d follow the movies with time for discussion; pretty much a must-have for something like Blade Runner or The Usual Suspects, but maybe not as vital after a Steven Seagal film festival...I chose this because I love movies, beer and urban renewal.I d have to sub-contract the restaurant aspect of the business, as that s both capital-intensive and complicated, but I think I could manage the brewery and theater aspects of the business.

ok personally i would love to own a small surf shacksurfboards for rent or even lessons if they are beginnersJust something small and fun love surfing and the beach that s why i choose itand i guess its self explanatorybuy some boards and rent em out to people

Marriage Bureau? I will compile a list of candidates with the same interest. Put certain criteria into a computer and come out with a life long partner. How can I should I approach my ex-boss about finding out if I signed a no compete document? -

I am no longer with the company. I resigned and have been offered an excellent opportunity with a similar company. They need to know if I signed a no-compete with the last company before they hire me. I told them no, but I am not certain as it was a few years back. How can I ask my ex-boss if I signed a no-compete? It was a small company and there is no HR Dept. because otherwise I would just ask them.I really dont want to tell my boss what company I will be going to just yet. I dont feel it is any of his business.

If it s a small business, they re going to find out you re leaving for another company sooner or later so you should just straight up ask them. Might as well treat it like a band aid and get it over with fast.

Starting Small Business Selling Med Supplies?? Pls..Help? -

My mom wants to start up a small business selling medical supplies...what all does she need to get started? Also is this career worth it and profitable? With the whole economy issue would it be impossible?? Thanks in advance

If she doesn t know the answers to those questions then she should do a lot more research than what she can get here.Any business is possible in this economy if you know what you are doing. The thing about medical supplies is that it hasn t been affected as much by the economy as other things. The most important thing is can she sell? If not she won t be successful in any business, especially not in the medical field. It is very difficult to get in to see decision makers in the medical field.

All you need to start a business is a business name. Register the name, get a business number, GST number, Payroll number. Keep the business separate from personal accounts. You mom should pay herself a salary from the business account. Make sure you keep detailed records as self employed individuals are subject to audit. Anything is possible in any economy. But, you have to advertise and network. No one will buy anything from you if they don t know you have anything to sell.

I want to sell Avon but I dont know how to get started? -

Im 19 years old and I have one job already (housekeeping at a hospital). But I could use the extra money on the side. What are the pro and cons of this Avon sales rep thing and how can I get it started?

Here are some Pros 1. $20 to get started when you sign up online and that includes your start-up training kit. 2. As a new rep, you ll save 40% on all core items from the brochure. 3. Only $1 minimum order is needed to remain active. 4. No need to carry an inventory. 5. Take orders where, when and how you want. 6. Free shipping directly to you. 7. Great incentive programs, recognition and fun! 8. Too busy? You re the type of person we need. Simply hand out brochures to everyone you come into contact with. 9. Receive special preview books with additional savings for you. 10. Free online and personal training. Please let me know if you have any questions

To get started either ring AVON or apply online or contact your local rep. Then someone will come round and help you start up.PROSYou get to be your own boss, you have to meet deadlines, and help customers. It s a good way of starting your own business, and giving you a bit of basic knowledge of business.Suits people people! You can do AVON parties.Commission ranges from around 25-30%CONS15 start up fee If you don t do 2 campaigns, they will cancel your membership and you will have to pay the 15 start up fee again.Books are expensive, and customers don t always look after them so you can use them again.Because of AVONs big ad campaign looking for new reps, it s hard to get a road/s to sell to. When I started I didn t get given a road and I was expected to sell the 78 worth of stuff to friends and family every 3 weeks so make my commission.Sometimes you will get barely any orders. It s a lot of work if you only have a few customers.

Ask an Avon rep. In your circle of friends there will be someone who sells Mary Kay, someone who sells Avon, and maybe someone who sells Pre-Paid Legal and maybe even someone who sells Amway/Quixtar.Ask around your friends because they have a vested interest in you and your future. They will introduce you to their upline and they, or their upline, will be able to answer all of your questions. It s not as high-pressure as Mary Kay or Amway but it s still not a bad side business. Paried with some other MLM you might be able to turn a decent profit.

Well for that you should see http://www.biznuss.neti hope thst resove your problem keep using answers.yahoo.comSource(s):Personal Experience

www.avon.com

You can join by signing up with a local leadership rep for $10. You can go to avon dot com and do a representative search by zipcode to find someone near you, just make sure it says Learn more about the Avon Opportunity by the reps info. That means they are a leadership rep and can sign you up. You can also sign up online and that costs $20.PROS: There are so many.Avon has name recognition. Its been around for over 120 yrsAvon has quality products at affordable prices.Avon has excellent earnings opportunities. You can earn up to 50% commission on sales of Avon Products. There is also great income potential when you become a Leadership Rep and Share and Show the Avon opportunity to others.Avon is a consumable product What is a consumable product? A consumable product needs to be replenished once it is used up. This helps guarantee repeat business and generates a need for your services.Avon is about Beauty and beauty sells. Did you know that during past economical slowdowns, cosmetics sales actually rose?? This is because women regard beauty products as a necessity! Makeup sales actually go up during a slow down, because feeling and looking good inspire stability during uncertain times.Avon is diverse. There is something for everyone, which gives you a larger potential customer base. There s makeups, lotions, perfumes, handbags, shoes, men s products, gift items, stuff for the kids and much more.CONS: I don t feel there are any con s unless you aren t running your business smartly.Yes you do have to pay for your brochures and other business expenses. However any time you open your own business you are expected to pay for the supplies needed to run it. Business expenses are tax deductible. As with any job, if you don t show up or you don t do the work you won t get paid. If you don t work your Avon business and put in the time needed to find new customers and build your business you arent going to make any money either. If you opened a bakery and ate all the merchandise you won t make any money because you have nothing to sell. Likewise if you spend all the money you make on your own personal Avon products you won t see a profit either.Be Organized. You want to batch your deliveries to save time and gas. Organize them so you deliver it all to one area in one trip. Give any customers who live to far to deliver a free shipping code out of the web office.Be sure to submit your order on time, make the payments when due and only submit one order per campaign. As long as you keep to the schedule and do things properly you won t get charged the extra fee s and lose your profits.I have seen people not do the above and wonder why they didnt make money. Avon is a well known name and has quality products at affordable prices. However you do need to put time in finding the people who love it. They are out there. How much you want or can make depends on your needs and commitment. It can earn you extra money or it can be a full time career. I started selling for the discount and am now working towards making it my career. It isn t something that will happen overnight but if you work it and set your goals it can be achievedHope that helps with your decision.

Home Based Computer Business License.? -

I would like to register my home based business, my question is do I need to make a certain amount of money for the IRS? I make about less than 3,000 a year. Please anybody Advice me.

You need to register with the federal gov t for an EIN. You need to register with texas for a sales use tax permit. You need to charge sales tax for services sold to texas customers. Both of these are independent of how much you make. You generally still need to file your taxes with the gov t at the end of the year unless you make zero.

If you know right work from home information and way, diet is easy. If you are really serious, you should have easy work from home way that works for you. I am trying to start an online store and was wondering what i could sell that would sell really good? -

i want to start a online store on ebay.. but i dont know what i should sell. I was wondering if you guys had any idea as to what i could sell, that is really popular, and i would sell alot of, and make some money, does anyone have any ideas?

Contact all the art students at local high schools and colleges. Offer to sell their artwork and split the proceeds 50-50. You will never have to pay for inventory. You can set up a table at sporting events or concerts. Or sell online. A lot of beautiful art is sitting in basements and storage rooms.

hello there! I may be able to help you out! I help people create multiple streams of income so they can start their own business and not have the financial headache! the great thing about this is that its something everyone uses, and pays every single month, and they dont think twice before using it. not only that, but people can purchase it online, globally, there is alot of money to be made as well, so feel free to check out my website:

So I called out today...? -

My boss is in a lot of pain - had to get surgery yesterday, so she won t be coming in today. Well, I m not feeling too hot this morning (throat s sore, stomach s upset, scheduled a doctor s appointment) and called out, and she sounded really pissed off about it. I found someone to take my morning shift but we re still waiting for a reply on my night shift, so I might have to go into work anyway tonight. This is only the second time I ve called out in a span of almost six months.Thoughts? Do you think my job s safe? I m nervous what with how mad she was acting on the phone.

Look, it isn t your responsibility to worry about your boss stuff. On the other hand, if your actions cast you as not a team player , the previous statement isn t what matters.Just make nice. If you re worth having around, you ll be fine.

I think you are on thin ice! She has had surgery and you have a sore throat etc...bit of a difference. She won t be happy, and I think you should have made the effort to go in, and be sent home if you were ill.

Is It legal to start a charity if you are 12 years old and if it is what would be some good ideas to collect? -

Well i want to start a charity but i do not know what to raise for and what to raise, all so is there a web site to help you plan or map it out step by step or something useful THANKS

You can t start any business if you are under the age of 18 - you are not old enough to sign contracts, which rules you out for a few years. In any case, you have the cart before the horse here. First you have to have a goal in mind about what particular issue you wish to form a nonprofit to help and find out if any other organizations already exist that serve that population. You will need a good idea of the scope of the problem that you want to address, and a solution in mind before you can even start to establish a nonprofit, or any business for that matter. If you are interested in charitable works, you should find a local charity that supports a cause that interests you, and volunteer there so that you can help the organization and get an indea of the work and effort that is involved in running, funding, and promoting a charity before you consider starting your own.

lots of government paperwork needed to start an official non-profit charity

What is ethel austins (the clothes store) business aims/ objectives? -

Get in touch with the head office and ask them.Explain why you want the information. The same with the other companies you have asked about. Also research the companies online, the information may be there.

Im trying to do answer this question for my dog treat business? read below? -

What are the financial possibilities (size/profitability goals)? how can I attain this number..i ve never gone to business school and i m in the starting face of putting all of this together

Talk to your local Small Business Administration office. They are there to help you make your business real.First, figure out where you want to open your shop. You want an area where people have lots of money to spend on their pets. If you are not aiming for a pet boutique; how are customers going to buy your dog treats? Then you need to look at the health codes that will affect your business. If you have your kitchen making dog treats, do you have to keep it as clean as place making food for humans? Will pets be allowed in the shop? What requirements are needed for labeling the ingredients? Are you sure the treats are safe for animals? Do they need to be inspected by the state board of veterinarians? Realistically, how much money do you need to generate in a day to stay afloat? Rent, utilities, wages (you need to be paid), advertising, raw materials and cooking equipment need to be paid for. The smaller you can get this number, the better. Then you have to figure out how much each dog treat will have to generate.

What are some good things to sell on eBay? -

I have already sold clothes on eBay, but am looking to make a bit more of a profit. I noticed that places like Marshall s have True Religion and 7 for All Mankind jeans for $99.00. Could I make a profit by selling them on eBay NWT? What are other good things to buy and sell for profit?

People are buying those popular brands, but they re paying with credit cards. Unless you are a full blown retail operation and can afford to buy in bulk to get wholesale prices, and pay the tab (3%) by using mastercard/or visa on your ebay sales, you should stay away from designer stuff that will go out of style in a matter of months. You want to keep your costs down, so why not consider secondhand merchandise. Not ratty tatty, but unique and rare items.

Not books, CDs or DVDsYes to collectables, though to be fair to you ebay is dying now. People are using ebid.nethttp://www.helium.com/items/1662609-ebay

If you re interested in fashion, I would go with purses. Dooney Bourke sell big on eBay.

Are pawn shops considered lower-class? -

Hi i have driven up and down my small town main street many times and seen this little hidden pawn shop and wandered what could be in it. like Special weapons and generally cool stuff. stuff that isn t normally sold in my area. but i have been to embarrassed to visit my local pawn shop in case a friend or someone i know might see me there. so my question is, is it considered lower-class to be in a pawn shop? and is there anything of interest in there or just a bunch of old computers, a rifle, and some old Indian action figures?thanks

Mostly you will find other peoples old junk. But, there can be cool things, especially if you like old stuff. They are low class, and usually in neighborhoods you do not want to be in after dark.

Listen man, even thought pawn shop doesnt sell the newest or the most luxury product it doesnt mean its low class and get embarased to be in it. Business is a business. those people gotta eat. A good pawn shop earns $100,000 plus per annum. They sell all kind off thing, jewelery, electronics etc

How did you get businesses to buy your home cooking? Thanks? -

You advertise.

I am a 15% owner of a business. We do all our own work, no employees, just owners. Am I 10-99 or W-2? -

We are a brand new business. I own 15%, and 2 other people own the rest equally. We have no employees other than ourselves, as we do all the work that our company provides. Until now, the other owners have not made any income from the business, because they ve been putting all profits back into the company. With the addition of me into the company, I will be receiving income from the business, but I also own part of it. We have no benefits, no insurance, no vacation, ect... Should I be a 1099 employee, or should I fill out a W-2?

http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/artipartnership incomeu would use neither 1099 or w2 --until you get paid weekly; then the W2. ONE form isfor giving to the company who then files it. The other is for you to file with the IRS.suggestion; call 3 CPA firms and them handle what you are doing.I am not sure several partners for a small biz is in your best interest;usually, innovation gets clogged up with more than 1 partner

Several issues here. If the business is a corporation, then you re either owners or employees. If owners, then the money received by you are dividends. If employees, then W-2.If the business is a partnership, then you re in another tax realm.

I believe 1099 is the way to go, but I d double check that at your local IRS office.

Does anyone sell on Bonanzle? I heard its going to be the next ebay.? -

Does anyone sell on Bonanzle?I heard it has very low fees and it keeps your item on indefinitely. If you are a seller on here, tell me how your sales are going.

I have been selling on Bonanzle for almost a year now I love it!! The community is absolutely astounding!! Everyone is just friendly, helpful and so supportive, always willing to help you out anyway they can.As for sales, the sales are there, and getting better everyday. At this point you do have to promote yourself outside of Bonanzle as the site is still very new, but growing incredibly fast. Bonanzle is like no other selling venue out there!! Simply put ... AMAZING! The owner has a great sense of humor and it shows through out the site, if you contact support they will answer your questions in a timely manner, and the members get to vote on new upgrades to the site!! Oh and the Final Value Fee - so you only pay when you sell your items, is super low your items don t expire. Can you tell I love Bonanzle? :)

Yes this site has low fees and your items stay listed till you take them off or they sell.I ve sold on this site for over a year and am pleased with the results. I have not made tons of sales but compared to other sites I ve had a store at, Bonanzle beats all of them hands down. The owners are very dedicated to the site and it s members. They do one of the best jobs I ve seen at keeping porn stores and the fake knock off designer merchandise off the site to keep it safe and clean for the members and customers. And their support area is absolutely amazing. The longest I ve ever waited for a response from them when I have had to contact them, is about a day and usually less than a day.Coming from a site that is the exact opposite of Bonanzle I can honestly say in my opinion that Bonanzle is the best maintained and safest selling site that I ve sold at in the almost 6 years I ve been an internet seller. And with the innovations they are putting in the site this place may well over take the big auction site. It s already like second or third on PSU s auction count and for a web based selling site to get to that level in just a bit over a year is monumental

We have a store set up on Bonanzle and have been there for over a year. Our products do very well there and we appreciate the low fees and friendly, helpful community. Many of our customers from other sites have followed us over to our Bonanzle store. As a Seller, it might take a little time to get your booth established. But if you promote yourself and invite your customers to shop there, your business will grow.As a Buyer, you will find a vast variety of items and Sellers who are willing to accept offers from you. They also have frequent auctions in some of the Sellers booths, which can be exciting. With no listing fees you have nothing to loose by giving Bonanzle a try.Sylviahttp://www.bonanzle.com/booths/sylvanlaneproducts

We have been selling on Bonanzle for several months and have been successful in selling our products. Keeping in mind that we sell high end personalized gifts we are happy with the sales that we have considering the economic downturn that we are currently in. The cost of selling on Bonanzle is really what brought us there. We are able to offer our products and make our profit margins that our business requires. We are seeing the same results from our eCrater site as well.

I ve been buying and selling on Bonanzle for only about 4 months after 9 years on another site. Bonanzle is by far the safest and easiest site I ve ever seen for ecommerce. The support is second to none and there is always a member or members of the community willing to help anyone who is new or encounters a problem. Bonanzle has brought humanity back to online selling.

I have been selling on Bonanzle for a number of months.I find it very seller friendly. Low rate when your item sells and no insertion fee for as long as you keep it running. If you have a question or a problem you will get a quick respone.

Bonanzles OK but I have been selling better at a totally free site called ecrater. They have no listing or store fees or final value fees and your item stays up until sold.

Whats the best software for opening a bookkeeping business? -

I am in the process of starting a bookkeeping business and am having trouble deciding what I want to do about software. The companies that I ll be doing the bookkeeping for will be rather small, and won t have much need for anything more than a basic bookkeeping software with maybe the capability to do payroll. Some of these small businesses will have attempted to do the bookkeeping on their own but have for some reason decided to outsource. Since they may have tried to do the bookkeeping, they may have purchased software to use such as Quickbooks, Peachtree, Quicken, etc. There s no way for me to predict what software they will have and I m trying not to buy each version just so that I can transfer files. I would much rather use Quickbooks for all of my clients. Now, I don t need Quickbooks Accountant software because my clients will not also be using the software, only I will. If I buy one of the basic versions of Quickbooks like I mentioned before, can I just have it set up to where I ll have numerous company files. I d create a new company each time I take on a new client and input the bookkeeping information they may have from before manually. I know you can create more than one company file in Quickbooks, but I don t know if there s a limit on how many you can create. So can I actually have those numerous company files, plus my own for keeping the books of my business, in that one program? If so, does anyone know how many companies you can create a file for in Quickbooks (or Peachtree, Quicken, etc.) without having to purchase a license for multiple users. And if not, does anyone have suggestions on what I can do.I have a degree in Accounting and about 6 years of experience doing bookkeeping (4 years in Quickbooks) so I do know what I m doing but with each previous employer, they only had their one company file created and I never looked to see how many companies you could actually create. Thanks for taking the time to read my question; any and all suggestions will be very much appreciated.-Taylor

I need a data entry job!! HELP!? -

I m interested in a legit data entry job and I need help finding one. The problem is every site that I come accross is obviously a scam. I need a fulltime data entry job that isn t a scam. Help me out?PS- scammers, do you really want to do this to a poor little college kid?

no such thing as online data entry.how would the get the work to you? - it would cost a lot more to ship boxes of paperwork to you, than to hire people eto come into their business and do the work there and they would have to train you also. how would they do that if you are not there in person? and even then - their software probably does not work over the internet.Online data entry has NEVER existed as a legitimate job

Ofcourse.I can lead you to a good site in which I am doing data entry. The main advantage is that NO INVESTMENT EVER . You should register into that website. You will get the payment at 20th every month if it is Rs. 2000 or more. If the sum is less than Rs.2000 it will be added to next month. You can receive the payment by DD/Cheque/Visa/other methodsAnother advantage is when you register you get Rs.100 as bonus. Register it. The work is also so simple. Just filling forms.I shall give my referral id as source. click that link and register. good luck.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no legit online data entry jobs. You are only finding scams because that is all there is.

How much hours does a cafe assistant works in a day.? -

I am doing my Business Studies coursework. I need to know how much hours does a cafe assistant works for a day. If you can please put it in pounds. This question is from the United Kingdom.

8-12 hours, most of these jobs are hourly so the longer you work more you get paid. There are also part-time works working around 4 hours a day (as second job).

Government grants fact or fiction? -

Want to start a small business..

Fiction. Unfortunately even startup loans are fiction at this point. It s a very difficult time to get funding for a business. You can check http://www.sba.gov/ but I haven t heard of a business ever getting a government grant.

Yeah, grants to small business are fiction. Small business grants are given to non-profits for them to make loans. It is way better to loan $10K out two, three, or four times than it is to just give it to someone once.

fiction.

What is paid to write concept? -

Could anybody tell me paid to write concept.

It is safe and easy way to get paid for your online efforts. Basically there are 2 types of paid to write concepts. One is the more casual writing while the other is usually more serious and article based. There is also a good article request section where clients request articles and their budgets and you can write and submit directly to them. The payment that depends on the quality of the article. The mode of payment can also mentioned by the writer.

Hi - Are you asking about sources that will pay you to write? If so, here is some information:An organization called Content Current will pay you up front to write for them. They are like a content database online, to which you can contribute as a writer. This freelance opportunity gives you the freedom to work for yourself, yet at the same time, you enjoy the freedom of not having to run an entire business.http://www.contentcurrent.com/writeAlso, you can find a variety of freelance writing jobs online using these sites:http://www.freelancewritinggigs.com http://www.gofreelance.co

There are many places to get paid to write online, but I m afraid you need to have a great grasp of English usage and grammar to do so.Some places allow you to sell your article directly, others connect you with publishers looking for content, while still others pay you based on page views only. The latter type is usually available to everyone regardless of country of origin. Your quality and quantity of writing will determine how much money you make.

Do you have to pay back a business grant? -

I am thinking about appling for a business grant. If the company goes under am i responsible for paying the grant back?

Grants are grants. Loans need to be repaid.

What does it take to open your own small business? -

I want to open a resale shop specifically geared towards pregnant women and young children. I would sell gently used maternity clothes, baby clothes, and baby gear. Are there any tips, books, or websites that are especially helpful?

I d suggest talking to other small businesses in the area you are thinking of locating. You can probably find some easily who would be willing to take a lunch with you. Ask them about the process they went through to get ready for business, what foot traffic in the area is like, what their biggest surprises were their first few years. Pick their brains a little you never know what good info you can get from people that are in your impact area, plus this allows you to start networking , meaning if they know you they may send business your way.Look at your expenses and make sure you have everything covered. What is your estimated income for the store? What will you be able to do if you re running under plan? How can you ensure a steady supply of product? Look at the store next time you go grocery shopping and ask yourself how they get things stocked, inventoried, rang, bagged etc and have answers for how that will look in your store.

Film documentary The YES Movie produced by Louis Lautman. The film filled with successful stories of today very young entrepreneurs. You might get more valuable insights.

I suggest doing some reading on Micro-Economics. Micro-Econ is about individuals and the choices they make and how those decisions affect the market place. It also deals with how supply and demand works.

I have a cheque on the name of my company, which was established one week after the check was drawn? -

I have one cheque on the name of my company. But I established my company one week after the cheque was drawn. Do you think that there will be a problem in the bank to take my money. Thanks for your responses!

No.(Paul ,i think he s saying that someone has paid him by cheque in his company name which his bank has just opened.)

The bank will accept any cheque where the payee name matches the name on the account. It will not matter that the company was formed or the account opened after the cheque was written. But, a company cannot be liable or be bound for anything that happened before it was created. So if you have this cheque because you have made an agreement or done work it is you not the company that is bound and liable. This might not be a problem, but if things go wrong you might end up with a nasty surprise. You will also need to carefully consider how this income will be taxed - it is probably your personal income and not company income.

Really? You think banks do a companies house search on every cheque to see when the company was established?

Anyone know a legit service or company which helps small business owners apply for grant money? -

i m starting an online clothing line.

I am earning pretty good money (about $1500/month)( filling online surveys. There are many online survey companies but most of them are scam. Here is my favorite one:http://tra.kz/getpaidThey pay like a clock.. And they pay real good :))Cheers!

How much for a shirt and design? -

ok so me and my friends want to buy a couple of shirt and put designs on them.. we went online and already printed out the design we want.. we want about 30 shirts to sell for about 10-12 dollars...so how much would it cost to do this.. any answers would much be appreciated.. thankx :}

Hi,If you already have your ORIGINAL and full sized artwork for the designs, you have a few choices.1. You can go to your local Walmart or office supply store and buy the Avery Iron On heat Transfers. These are heat pressed to your t-shirts using a common household iron. Do not use steam, just dry.The daownfall to this is, the entire transfer has to have the same amount of heat and pressure applied to it or areas of the transfer may not bodn with the fabric in the shirt. Quickly the transfer will start to peel. To avoid this, all heat transfers, no matter if you print them yourself or use the Avery and other brands should be heat pressed using a professional heat press. Using a heat press will applyt he right amount of heat, temperature and pressure to the entire transfer and the transfer will not peel or come off.2. The second alternative is to use a POD (Print On demand) service. This service is free and you can upload your artwork to whatever t-shirts, mousepad, etc.you want. You can not only order shirts for yourself but also sell them to the public from the (usually) free stores. When using a POD service, they have what they call a Base price. This is YOUR cost. Your profit is made for any sales made above your cost for the shirts. However, it appears that the base cost for t-shirts vary widely. Some white t s start at $10.50 an go up to $16.00. Shop around.I have been printing heat transfers for t-shirts since 1987 and have a little experience using heat transfers.3. You could go to your local screen printer and get a quote from them.I would say for you that your best bet would be to use a POD service, possibly open up your own online t-shirt store and sell your designs. Never can tell.Hope this helps.Fred

Well, go to a local craft store. The closest one in my town is called Michaels crafts, but you can go to Wal*Mart as well. The shirts have to be exactly right for the job, otherwise the project will be a big fail. You go to a craft store or craft section in a store and look for iron-on fabric sheets. They are printer sheets that are specific to certain printers and fabrics, so find the sheets that match your printer and then read the instructions on the back of the package to know which type of shirts to buy. Usually, the shirts are next to the fabric sheets because they all typically use the same type of fabric, but some sheets may differ, as well as the prices. I believe it is 8 - 12 sheets per package, and like I said, prices will vary. The shirts usually go for around 4 dollars, and the sheets I bought were about a dollar per page.

The only way is an iron on transfer... the downside is that it is an iron on transfer (so they will look like it. This paper can me bought at any Wal-Mart or Best Buy (stores like that). There are 2 types, those for white those for colored fabrics. Make sure you get the correct one. With colors it is much harder as you will pretty much be stuck with the rectangles shape off the paper (unless you are going to spend pain steaking amount of hours per shirt to cut it all out). It will also peel crack more then the white does. The blank colored T s will cost more as well. Needless to say it is best to go white. There are companies that will do this for you (you just upload the design). The only problem with that is they are going to charge you about $15 per shirt, so you will be unable to sell them for $10 - $12

$5

How, Dealing with local competitor? -

Hi guys well i am working for a sport equipment store, and i was wondering How should we deal with a new strong sporting store that has came to our area?what kind of things can we do to keep people coming back to us?

you can put on sales on items... offer better customer service..... make programs, such as a soccer league for people to join... something like that

I really dont know any thing about c++ and i dont know how and where to start....can some one guide me??! plea? -

Unless you are already proficient on another computer language such as C, C#, or Java, you will not be able to understand it without taking a class at your local community college. If you do not have experience with any of those languages, I d recommend that you start with C# which is the most powerful, fail safe, and easiest to understand.

Website Developer to be or not to be need your personal opinion.? -

Hi my name is Darach and im 17.I am interested in a few people giving me their personal opinion.ill come straight out with it and tell you that im think about setting up my own website. however this website can help everyone else as well.my website consists of.Going on to the website www.?????.com e.g, entering in your insurance details just like comparethemarket.com for example however. once you go to this website you enter your details without saying which car you want. e.g BMW 3 SERIES 2 Dr..... but you then get brought to another page on the website once you enter those details that allows you to view cars that the general public have put on for a small price e.g 10-15... it then shows you what you would have to pay for insurance and also how much you would have to pay that person who is selling the car e.g 2,000 pound for insurance and 800 for the car itself. you can then buy the car off that person and you know exactly how much you are to pay for the insurance which you can then be brought to another page on the site which allows you to purchase insurance from leading insurance company s just like www.comparethemarket.com. positive things is you dont have to keep entering details time and time again which can be very time consuming because once you entered them on the website the cars listed already give you prices of insurance and that you receive with that insurance e.g courtesy car, your no-claims bonus and break down service.this is generally saving every ones time from searching through various different sites. I think that the target market is first time drivers personally however it is obviously open to everyone and also anyone looking to sell a car. please answer truthfully as i am in the process of making this site and i would like to know what every ones opinions are!

It sounds as if you d need some quite sophisticated work going on behind the front of the site. Everyone will pay a different rate of insurance depending on their age, their claims record, disabilities, if any, number of drivers to be insured, sometimes location applies, too, how long they ve been driving and what kind of cover they want. Each insurance company has different weightings that they apply.I understand what you re saying about simplifying the process but I m not sure whether it s possible to build as complex a site as you re suggesting. Test it yourself by entering your details on a few insurance sites and you ll start to understand how complex it could be. The price comparison sites usually let you shop for the type of cover you require and them list the policies that offer your mix of cover.

Do you think this is a good online business? -

i want to start a buy steak online business but i don t know if people will buy steak online so is that is not a good idea q you tell me a good idea for business onlinehttp://www.newbrunswicksteakco.com/buy-steak-online.htm

I ve seen people buy steak online, especially around the holidays to send as gifts, but you want to make sure you have a very strong web site. I wouldn t buy from the one you linked to because it doesn t look very polished. Buying electronics from a sketchy retailer is one thing, but people are far more concerned about food they order, especially perishables. You might have the tastiest cuts on the market, but if you don t look legitimate, people won t trust you.If you pursue this business, I d start by writing a business plan to keep you on track and shop around for web designer who can code you a clean, easy-to-use interface.

Yeah man entrepreneurship is the way to go. But to answer your questionhttp://www.omahasteaks.com/servlet/OnlineShopping^ Omaha Steaks make tons of money online. But the key to that really is to find something essential that people will continuously order. Omaha Steaks also partners with Amway which markets for them but places like Shop.com, Amway, Amazon, Ebay, sell etc. everything so you have to compete with that you know?

Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.
