Can i ship a product with no box but instead wrapped in heat shrink wrap like the kind put on boats in winte? -

I am trying to find a way to not use boxes as the product is very long and heavy, if i could wrap it in a strong wrap like the kind seen on winterized boats it would help. Any names of what this is called or if possible??
