Im concerned about my pay-packed from where i work. ? -

Some of us work in different locations in a job but as for me i work in a supermarket, though when i went to look at my pay packed its got that amount you earn in a week plus the amount of hours you done but if i were to add up the total every week until i got up to 1 year , does that mean it would bring me to the total i earned in a year ?

No. it would bring you to the total that you were paid in the year. What you are paid and what you earn are not necessarily the same.

In with your wage packet you will have a wage slip that shows your gross pay. The gross pay is the amount you earned that week before any deductions such as tax or national insurance. If you add up all the gross pay for each week then that will give you the amount earned for the year. Your wage slip may also have a section that says earnings to date , so that would tell you exactly what you have earned in the current tax year. Remember that the official tax year starts on 5th April. At the end of each tax year you will receive a P60 which is the official confirmation of what has been paid to you in that tax year.

That s the whole year to date thingAlso WTF is a pay-packed ?

Does anyone sell stuff and make good money on Ebay? -

i need to make some extra income like at least 300 a month! I hear people making a 1000 on Ebay...how?? What do they sell and have to sell to continue to make it? I am a stya home mom and need to do something quick

Making 300 per month on eBay is a very achieveable goal for a house wife with kids. What scared me though is you say quick . You need to get on eBay and surf around if you aren t familiar with it. Then buy something, just a $1 item and see how it works. You need to get set up. PayPal and your eBay account linked. Once you are ready, some things to look into would be thrift store, estate sale items. Such as brand name clothing you buy for a few dollars and sell for $10-$25. But you need to do a little homework. Good Luck!

I own my own restaurant. What is the best type of advertising in this economy. TV-Newspaper ads are expensiv -

I am a single parent and do most of my own advertising. This has been a really rough year.

You could start by building your own website for free at http://www.WebStarts.com/?aff=Roshawn

Patty, you don t have to work very hard to convince me that it has been a really rough year in the restaurant industry. One look at the vacancies in strip malls and other properties with for rent signs tells me all I need to know. Chains are closing outlets, franchises are shutting down, expansion plans are being mothballed. The problem, of course, is that in the Great Recession, consumers are cutting back spending and dining out is one of the first luxuries to go.To answer your question directly, I wouldn t spend much time with newspaper advertising, but would instead focus my ad dollars on couponing, either through Val-Pak or Groupon or a similar service. Consumers need to feel they are getting a bargain these days, and a 2-for-1 deal or another level of discount will make you more attractive. See if you can make up the difference through alcohol sales, if possible.Beyond that, though, there are some basic steps that require plenty of your focus. Is your restaurant well enough differentiated in the marketplace? Consumers are still willing to pay for special experiences (a fun atmosphere for their kids, a romantic spot for a special occasion, a paella meal that is cumbersome to cook at home). Without that ability to set yourself apart, you re nowhere. This is also the time to take a hard look at your menu, your cost structure, your staff, just about everything relating to your restaurant. Come in with fresh eyes, ask businesspeople you trust to help you look. I m confident you ll find places you can trim or adjust. The good news is that consumer spending will start coming back in the next 6 months to a year. Hang in there.

The best advertising you could do is getting your food out into the public eye. Go to different events and bring sample foods with you and business cards. Go to your child s school and see if they would let you cater any of their events, you might have to do this for costs but you are getting your food and name in front of hundreds of teachers. You also might try doing the cookout for your child s sports if she or he is in any. Cookouts at your house or in the park. These are all great ways to get your food, ability as a chef, and your name out into the local community. Without the community backing you will not survive.Have fun with it too!!!!

Working the social media websites will help, too. Facebook and Twitter can help build a following. Post specials. Post that you re trying a new dish only available to Facebook friends, etc.Volunteer your restaurant to be a meeting place for a group you belong to, or want to belong to. (depending on your restaurant)Whatever you can do to get the name in front of people; whatever you can do to get people to set foot in your restaurant. Do it.Can you take food to your local radio station? Sometimes the morning drive time DJ s will give you free plugs if you bring them free food. And, if you have a little bit of advertising money, I ve seen Cable Advertising work very well in small communities. I wish you luck.D

You should check out our service, it s called Bluesky Local. We help restaurants to increase sales by automatically delivering coupons to customers via email, text, and Twitter when slow sales conditions are detected. For example, if your restaurant experiences a sales decrease one days when it is raining and/or certain days of the week, Bluesky Local will automatically detect and counteract these conditions by delivering coupons instantly to local customers.BlueskyLocal.com

Money Mailers are good (the envelope you get every few weeks with local advertisements) this lets you target a specific market via regional area.Depending on your target market (e.g. if you re looking at college age kids/budgets you can go to the local university or clubs and hand out flyers with a coupon.)

How do I work out an hourly rate for pound;30,000 pa? -

I am due to start temping and I need to break this down per hour (before deductions) sorry my maths is dreadful!

You need to know how many hours in the standard working week as it varies from company to company. But let s say it was 40 hours per week like mine then you would divide 30k by 52 weeks to get a weekly salary of 576.92 and then divide this by the number of hours (in this case 40) to get an hourly rate of 14.42.But as I said, you need to know the number of hours in the standard week to get the correct figure.

Quick trick to convert an annual salary into an hourly rate... is to knock the thousands off and then divide by two. Roughly 2000 working hours in a year.So... 30k pa = 15 per hour or thereabouts, as is shown by those above. This way is just easier!

Yearly: 30,000 - Monthly: 1,881 - Weekly: 427Hours per week: 35 (estimated) = Hourly rate: 16

Depends on how many hours per week you work.If it is 38 hours, then the hourly rate is:-30,000/(52*38) = 15.18i.e. salary/(no. weeks in year * hours per week)

40 hr per week at 52 weeks a year =2080 hrs 30,000/2080=14.42 per hour

My husband and I would like to know how we can our own auto detail shop? -

We have been talking about this for awhile but don t know how yo begin. Also how to get a loan to help us even though we have bad credit and what we ll need!

If you have bad credit, no one is going to give you a loan for a new, unproven business so get that out of your head. Your best bet would be to go about it like this:#1. Decide if you re really, really serious about this. Starting any new business is a huge investment in time, money, and sanity.#2. You ll need to get incorporated, and you ll need to get whatever types of licenses and insurance that is required for this type of work, meaning you ll need to consult with a lawyer, and you ll also need an accountant. #3. Since your credit bad, you wont be able to get a loan or a lease on commercial property. You ll need to figure out what kind of equipment you ll need, buy it in cash, and start your business out of your home. You WILL get customers by being able to undercut big name shops due to your lack of overhead. #4. You ll need to do some marketing. You should put up ads on craigslist, you should post like crazy on car forums, especially any kind of local forum you might have. It s all about visibility. You may also want to print up some lawn signs / magnetic stickers advertising discount detailing work... Put them on your cars, put them around town, get those signs up anywhere you can legally put them.#5. If you are incredibly lucky, you ll find some customers. If you do good work for them at low prices, they ll refer their friends. If you keep doing good work, you ll eventually start to cashflow. At this point, you ll be in a position to take your financials to a bank, show them that you re making money, and show them how you plan to make even more money by expanding.I hope this helps and wasn t too complicated, but starting your own business is no joke :P

I forgot to put my state to the seller on ebay, Will it be shipped to me? -

I put everything except the state and I don t know it it will get delivered to me, I also put the wrong zip code on another order will the items get received to me ?

The first one, as long as it has the correct zip code, will probably get to you with no problem. The second one will probably be shipped to the city and state whose zip code you put down. Once it gets to that post office, it s up to the postal employees there to either ship it right back to the sender, or to do the detective work required to figure out what correct zip code you meant to put down. Either one could happen. Try to be a little more careful in the future. I don t understand how it s possible to make mistakes like this when writing down your own home address.

ebay will provide the seller with the details registered with them. If they are different from the ones you gave the seller, you are likely to receive an email asking for clarification.

How do I sell an item as sell now on ebay? I cant for some reason/? -

I have some coins (old),in Indi,i want to sell them ,so anyone know some institutuion or any place to sell it? -

ebay is the best platform. You may use auction or just normal selling. You just need to register on ebay, create a seller account on paisapay, get confirmed using mobile or credit card and you are all set to sell your collections. All the details will be provided on ebay itself.Tip :Auctioning would be a good option as people may pay much more than what you expect if the coins are really rare and old.

It is better for you to go for Mayank and sell your coins in good prices there. Report Abuse

Ebay Fees for Canceled transaction...? -

hi, im selling my car, and a buyer won the bidding. Now he says he didnt realize the transmission was manual and he don t want it any more.As far as i now Ebay refunds Final value fee, if we both agree to cancel it, which is fine with me.But on his email he mentioned that he knows there are ebay fees for canceling the transaction, and he is willing to pay them via Pay pal I dont know what he is talking about.Do i have the right to charge him, for changing his mind. or is he just wrong? Thanks for your helpful answers!

YES !!If you and the buyer come to a mutual agreement, than you canrequest a refund of the Final Value Fee.Log-in to your Ebay account and follow the necessary stepsto complete this reversal. Ebay will not refund the listing fees, so if the buyer is willing to reimburse you for it, than have him do so.Don t forget that you also have the option to submit a Second Chance Offer provided that there where other bidders.Good luck !!John Komatsoulis - Ebay Power Seller for 10 years

HI Ebay does not refund the Listing fee ( whatever you paid them to list the car)If its any signifigant amount, its very nice of him to offer that

How can i get sponsored or whats a good fundraiser? -

Im trying to start this Animal Sanctuary place and i need money to keep it going, i have a job but its not enough money to keep everything running properly, any ideas? or is their anyone that would sponsor my cause.

I applaud your efforts to start an animal sanctuary. You will probably need to find multiple funding sources. If you haven t done so already, try to form a group of people in your community who share your concern for the animals to find volunteers to help you. Approach local service groups and businesses to see if they will help sponsor fundraisers. A shelter in my area has found a local restaurant that will donate a percentage of proceeds for a benefit dinner. If you can get donations from local businesses you could incorporate a silent auction. You might want to see if you can find someone who would be willing to take photos of the animals and create calendars and greeting cards that you could sell..Consider creating a website to announce your events and also to have affiliate links that sell animal related products that will pay you a precentage of the proceeds. Some examples of companies that have affiliate programs that have pet related books and products include Amazon.com and Cafe Press, I ve included links to their programs and several other companies that have affiliate/distributor programs that you could use.to generate some income.Good luck on your worthy efforts!

Need out of 50% business I own.? -

My partner and I own 50% each of a residential care facility. I want out but he is making difficult by not making any offers and delaying time. We own 50% of home and 50% of Corporation. I live in california if that helps. To avoid legal fees what would be my options? Can I dissolve the business and get 50% of my equity. What are my rights?thanks emilio

You need to go to MEDIATION -- which involves a third party to help resolve the matter.ORYou need to go to ARBITRATION -- which involves a third party with court judge like authority that legally binds the final decision between two parties.AVOID COURT!!! These are much more expensive than mediation or arbitration. Also as a partner, unfortunately you are stuck with this person until either mediation or arbitration occurs. Partnerships are difficult legally in this way. If one messes up, the other is bound to the result. Hope this helps!!! :)

Starting a cleaning business and have a question about hiring a part-time employee? -

Ok, so a buddy of mine and I are thinking of putting together a General PArtnership or an LLC to begin a cleaning business. In any case, we would want someone eventually to be doing the majority of the cleaning work while we manage the overall business growth etc. This at first especially will be very much part time work. So how do we hire someone without having to worry about paying benefits, or being responsible for workers compensation etc..? Is this possible? it had got to be. Especially if the person is working only a part-time. I know there is the whole employee vs independent contractor things as well..not sure how that plays into this. BAsically I am looking for the easiest, and cheapest way to hire a part time worker to help us out.

don t bother with an LLC, too much money and too much bother for no bigger than you are or will beif you want to do it correctly you would pay him wages, thereby getting an EIN # and filing your taxes properlyor as most housecleaning and landscape maintenance do, everyone working is an independent contractoras such they also file their own Sch c and Sch SE(pay their own self employment tax, approx 15.3% of the net ) and their own income tax depending on how much this 1099 affects the rest of their tax return

Can an employer add more work to your workload without increasing pay rates? -

absolutely.

YES.

Is this a real question? Of course they can!

How much money does a stripper make per night? -

on average how much do they make

For people that are of LEGAL age, and depending on market... 100 to 450$ a night, less the establishment s cut ...

That question is next to impossible to answer. Obviously, the girls/guys who work at the more upscale clubs make more than the girls who work the seedy dives. The girls/guys who are more friendly and outgoing develop a bigger client base (and therefore make more money) than the girls/guys who think they re all that. It also depends on which night of the week they re working. Friday and Saturday nights are the bigger-money nights. But to give you an idea: I have a co-worker (female) and her daughter works at one of the nicer gentlemen s clubs in San Antonio earning money to put herself through college. Apparently her daughter can make around $300.00 if she s having a good night, and add another $150.00 to $200.00 if it s a good Friday or Saturday night. The downside is dealing with the clientele. Many of the guys believe that a girl who is willing to take it all off in a strip joint is willing to do other things for money. They also have to deal with customers who have Roman hands and Russian fingers, and they do get the occasional obsessive stalker-types. Makes you wonder if it s really worth it...

that completely depends on where the club is and what type it is. as far as i know business is down the past couple years overall, but for myself, working at a high class nude club in a major city - i make anywhere from $100 - $350 per day for a six hour shift.

Not enough.Bad business.Very dangerous. My friend was murdered by a customer that followed her home.Find another way to make a living.

What are the legal requirements of opening a teenage nightclub in utah ? (:? -

i just had an idea of opening a teenage nightclub in utah. since its N0 fun here (: i just want to know what i have to do legally to open one and about how much it will cost :p

The reasons why there aren t any teen nightclubs are too many to count. Most notably parents don t like the kids going wild; curfews cut into the hours of operation too much; and lack of disposable incomes for most teens. Rival gangs/schools might start fights in the club or out in the parking lot. Drug dealers will swoop in cause you no end of grief. Then there is the potential problems with the older kids hooking up with the jailbait (you might not be legally responsible for what happens; but that won t keep parents from suing you). Your lease will count every day of the month, not just the weekends. Face it, Sunday through Thursday is going to be dead during the school year. Unless you find some other use for the space for those days, you will be dependent on only 8 days of the month to make your rent, pay utilities and employees. If you want to open the club, go for it. Just be prepared for complaints from neighbors and have enough security to handle anything.

Is joining amway business profitable or not? -

*Joining* Amway is not profitable, no. It s an expense. Learning what do do, gaining skills and knowledge, and working hard - that s a whole different story. I know plenty of people who ve joined Amway, done nothing, made no money. I know people who ve joined, done a little, made a little. I also know people who joined, learned a lot, worked hard, and now have 8 figure yearly incomes from Amway.Amway is a business opportunity, not a guarantee. Plenty of people have made it profitable. Whether you re one of them is up to you.

it is a legit business so if you work really hard and have good sales skills then you may be able to do well. If not, no.

I know this other guy that joined Amway, and he hardly makes any money at all. He even has another job because he makes so little.

profitable if u have customers to buy

For 99% of people.....No.

Does anyone know of any legit free work at home offers? -

I am a single mom and a full time student. I am looking for a free work at home offer I have tried a few of the survey offers but most of them have some type of gimmick. I don t have extra money and really am looking for a way to make some money.

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

You can build a web business and sell other people s products. That s called affiliate marketing and lots of people make good money at it. It does cost a little money (the cost of a website and hosting) but most of those work at home job things like you said are mostly gimmicks. Here s some more info on affiliate marketing and how you can make money at it:

If you are looking for fast home based business program, you can use my program. I create good imcone everyday. If you are very serious about home based business you must have a look this program. It is fast if you know correct info you can make money online. You can get more info from link below.

I found a great way to earn from home, writing articles. We all have knowledge to share. Not a get rich idea by any means, but small amounts can add up over time. I have included an article below on the subject.

Try this site: http://www.propayday.tk it can make you good money and its easy to do. There are no fees and it pays every Friday. You can make as much as $5000 a month using this site just a few hours a day. http://www.propayday.tk

Www.howtobeaprocessserver.com. It s real but work but big pay out easy to do

They are all scams one way or another. They will either steal your money outright or pay you $50 per month to work full-time hours.

You can try to sell websites.I saw on TV that it makes about 10 cents/ day./

They re all gimmicks, there aren t any real ones.

What all i need to start my own residential and commercial cleaning business? -

what all equipments?what all i have to do to form a company?what all i do to get the business?

Hi! I clean small offices and Luann got you started on the right track. The local authorities you need to call to see if a license or permit is required is usually your local county or city clerk s office. A D.B.A., though usually not required so you can wait until you have a few customers, is what you ll need to open a business bank account. Liability insurance is a must. It will protect you from claims of theft or damage-usually false, but why not let the insurance company handle it? Plus it is a great sales tool to get customers. The price varies a lot from one company to another so call as many insurance companies as you can and get quotes for the amount you want. Start small...you can increase later. Use a local agency and become friend with them--they can be a resource for new customers/referrals.as far as equipment and getting customers and tons of other tips and resources, go to my Squidoo lens on starting a cleaning business-the link is in my profile. I think you ll find a lot of your answers there.Good Luck-you can do this!!

It s really very simple. You will need some commercial liability insurance and also to e onded for a small amount. Then you will need to decide if you will form a corporation or if you will be a DBA (doing business as). If you contact your local authorities, they will tell you if you need a license. Help! My Business is not going well!? -

I m 14, and I just started my own christmas lighting business called Easy Christmas Lighting Services. I did this because I want to be my own boss, can t get better than that! I decided on this because start up costs are cheap, and once it gets big I could sell a few franchises to get the company known for it s quality lighting skills. All I did was pass out flyer s in my neighborhood which is ok advertising. I only got about 2 calls which concerns me! I live in a wealthy neighborhood where people should love to have someone put their lights up for them! The other professionals charge about $500 to $2000 to hang lights in my neighborhood I was thinking of about $50 to 250 a job depending on how much clients wanted done. I know business is slow at first, but this is not what I thought would happen. Please give me some great advertising tips, so next year this can be a success. business people tell me what I need to do to get this business running steadily! Thank you

First of all, I congratulate you for starting your own business at such a young age! Excellent! Now, the first thing that hit me after I read your post was your price. I think it s too low. If others are charging the higher rates and getting work, you need to streamline yourself into doing what they are doing, perhaps only a smaller discount than they are offering, but keep yourself in the flow so that clients will take you seriously. The key here is to BE as professional as the professionals if at all possible. You will want to brand yourself as well, so you might want to consider a shorter name for your company, something catchy that people will remember. Be sure to design a logo as well so that people associate the name to the logo to what you do. Once people see your logo and recognize your brand, when they need your services, you will be the one they will think of and call. For this season, there is still time for you to ring a few doorbells and offer your services. This is when people are really thinking they should have had it done already, so you might get a few smaller jobs which is something you can build on for next year. When people are considering hiring someone, they always respond to visuals so it would be a good idea for you to have a picture of a home you have decorated so they can see your work.I ve never been big on flyers unless they REALLY stand out. Put a lot of thought and effort into making something different from every other flyer people get in the mail and I think you ll be in business! Hope this helps.... wishing you all the very best!

hi jake,my husband s.q.farshori is running a software business, you can contact him to make a web site for you, then you can promote it,i am sure your business will grow smoothly, dont be dis hearted,it takes time,i will ask my husband not to charge anything for your site, contact him on mabadaulats@gmail.comall the best.

Passing out flyers isn t enough for you to get clients. Things to consider: First, consider that many people who don t know you would question whether a person your age is up to this kind of job - and how reliable you would be - that is, if your flyer indicated you were a teenager. How was your flyer designed - did it look professional enough? Redesign it if it is not.Did you define clearly what services you offer? When did you drop off the flyers? I d suggest in the future going on Saturday mornings door-to-door in your neighborhood and ring the bell to identify yourself, or walk up to anyone standing outside and introduce yourself. If you go walking, get some candy canes to give with a flyer. Put flyers in a local coffee shop or market, local doctor offices, dentist, beauty shop, nail shop, dry cleaners - talk to the people in local stores and see if they will let you leave flyers. And churches/church bulletin notices are an excellent place to advertise.Get referrals - ask your present clients if they would refer you - and offer a small discount if you get another job because of their referral. If you ve done this before, or have someone who you have done work for, ask them if you can use them as a reference. One of the best ways to get new business is when someone passes the word on about you - it is called word-of-mouth, and it beats advertising by a mile. Be memorable, do good work, make flyers that people notice, be friendly, make your mark on people s minds and they will think of you.Good luck! Some of these things you can do now, you still have time.

How many fliers did you make? Did you pass them out or post them?On most websites for every 100 new people who visit the website, they get 1 sale. Getting 2 calls, is pretty good!!When did you start advertising? I think people in my area (Los Angeles) start around Nov 1st.I think you should try to see if you can post fliers or hang out at the Christmas tree lots.Does your price include the lights? Or do the customers provide them? Your price is way to low if you are providing decorations.Good luck

What are some good things to sell on eBay? -

I have already sold clothes on eBay, but am looking to make a bit more of a profit. I noticed that places like Marshall s have True Religion and 7 for All Mankind jeans for $99.00. Could I make a profit by selling them on eBay NWT? What are other good things to buy and sell for profit?

People are buying those popular brands, but they re paying with credit cards. Unless you are a full blown retail operation and can afford to buy in bulk to get wholesale prices, and pay the tab (3%) by using mastercard/or visa on your ebay sales, you should stay away from designer stuff that will go out of style in a matter of months. You want to keep your costs down, so why not consider secondhand merchandise. Not ratty tatty, but unique and rare items.

Not books, CDs or DVDsYes to collectables, though to be fair to you ebay is dying now. People are using ebid.nethttp://www.helium.com/items/1662609-ebay

If you re interested in fashion, I would go with purses. Dooney Bourke sell big on eBay.

Collector Items.

Game Studios and business licenses? -

My friends and I are all college students studying and aspiring to make video games for a living, and we ve started making the plans to form our own studio where we can produce and get ready on a volunteer basis. We ve got Articles of Organization drafted (but not submitted to anyone), a business plan and just about every detail we can think to do is done. We were wondering though, do we need a business license? We want to wait to get one until we decide to release a game, but do we need one before?

Hold off on the business license until you KNOW that you have a going business. The license will be issued by the local jurisdiction in which you plan to open your store. Some jurisdictions do not require a business license, so check into it carefully.Good Luck!

Starting a business good idea or not.? -

I know someone who wants to start a business. Specifically software for the iphone (they won t do the programming). They also want to spend about $700-$1000. Also the person is 13. Any advice for them?

I say it would be a great leaning experience and looks great on a application for college or resume, especially at that age.Do it and good luck.Make sure your numbers add up, most start ups fail because they don t look at the finances. also it is important to pay yourself from the business, if you work for free to long you will stop working!

Unfortunately, the person who is 13 years of age does not have the legal capacity to contract with any business entity or enter into any consultancy/license agreement here in the U.S.

I have a small freezer and a small tv that i want to sell. where should i sell them? -

I am living in Cardiff and i am looking for a shop that i could sell my small freezer and my tv. Does anyone know where there is such a shop in Cardiff?

Get it on Ebat for local collection only. They will both sell.

Screw that, sell it on craigslist! That way, you don t even have to go anywhere - the buyer will show up and buy it from you.

I agree, your local craigslist section should suffice.

Is it possible to be paid in advance for working for some company? -

Only if you ve been working for the company for some time, and the company knows that you re a good worker, and will work off your debt to them.Sometimes companies will pay a signing bonus, but that s only if you re a lawyer or something like that.

i am not a company owner, but i could say yes it is possible.to be paid in advance means you have some arrangement or contracts to ascertain that agreed services shall be performed and completed. If you are a regular employee, maybe you can get an advance due to emergency or sort of loan application, but not advance pay wage. You can bargain the terms of services to be delivered (on contractual basis).

No, I don t think you should pay for what you work. unless you want to invest something.

Me and my mum want to start a cleaning business and have no idea where to start? -

Are there any websites that we can go on to help us out on where to start?

Post an ad on Craigslist. Let your potential clients know that you are consistent, reliable, thorough etc.Make sure you say whether you will bring your own cleaners and equipment. Look at other ads on Craigslist and find out what other people in your area are charging.

There are a lot of sites that can help you. I clean small offices and have a Squidoo lens and blog about starting cleaning businesses. They have tons of tips and resources on them-the links are in My Profile.Depending on what type of cleaning business you plan to do, you probably need to check with your local government office that does fictitious name files, etc, (here in the USA it s the city clerk s office) to see if you will need any kind of permit or license. If it s not required, get it later when you need to open a business bank account. You really should get some type of liability insurance, though. Call a lot of insurance agencies and get quotes for the smallest amount to start. The rate varies a lot so do call around. It will protect you from claims (usually false) of damages or theft. Plus it s a great sales tool.I have more on the lens and blog.Good Luck to you!!

You can find a small biz to try firstly, invest a little and high profit ,no tech requriements and feasible in reality .DIY Cartoon Shop biz ----you can diy lots of vivid plaster cartoon models by using our natural rubber moulds,so that you can launch painting course for children etc for biz.http://artmeilinda.en.ec21.com/

Yes, http://cleanuptheprofit.com tells you exactly how to start a cleaning business, has the forms you need, a price estimate chart, etc.

Just start asking your friends if they need their house cleaned then tell them its a low price, then when you have enough money start advertising then you ll be good from there.

well, you should probably go and work for that type of company for at least a few months to see how it s done

Wat r some important things 2 do 4 a babysitting buisness? -

im starting a babysitting buisness with my BEST friend and i wanted 2 know if im missing something important i should do???

You must get a license from a government! So that they can make sure that you are not some sick organization. You will get an inspector coming round to the place you will use annually. But make sure you have enough money into investing into this business before hand and take in all the things that will hold you back some way or another before you even think about it. BTW you spelt business wrong lol!

How does an independent shipping place make money? -

there s this small shipping place that mainly ships out ups, rents uhaul trucks and po boxes. it s like 6 months of po box for 40 bucks and there are only 300 boxes so there can t be that much money coming from that. so does he make money from shipping and uahul? how does that work?

You should give try to affiliate marketing. But it do needs time and money.

They earn from markups on the UPS shipping charges that UPS allows them to keep. They also sell packing materials at a good margin. They even mark up postage stamps (they wanted to charge me $60+ for a $42 roll of stamps; I drove to the post office instead). So there is plenty of money to be made in a good location.Uhaul also pays a commission to them for the business they handle on their behalf.

Small business grants/assistance for white males and/or minorities? -

I am researching a small business but don t have the capital to do it myself. I have the experience to be successful but lack the credit for a small business loan. Don t read anything into this comment but I have read a lot of information about SBA loan assistance etc but don t qualify for much as a white male. As a minority, however, I think my wife does. Does anyone have any experience with this type of assistance to know if the business can be in her name to qualify as a minority/woman owned business with me as an employee? Jobs are scarce and any help would be appreciated.

Business assistance is available at the Small Business Administration website, at http://www.sba.govThere are no grants availalble from the federal government for anyone to start a business or to assist with personal finances. You can check - http://www.grants.gov

Being a small business owner, you need to pay extra attention to management of financial resources. Since growth of your business somehow depends on its financial position, you should always be cautious about cash flaw within or outside your business. It is quite true that lack of finance can become a big problem in the way of the success of your small business. http://www.worldbestloans.com/businessloans.htmSince market is crowded with various business loan schemes, every small business owner can manage to get the desired amount without any problem. Therefore if you own a new and small business organization and financial shortfall is bothering you, then these loans can prove to be the best help for you.

Ebay selling with a reserve. my auction just ended and I need help.? -

I ve sold some sunglasses and the reserve hasn t been met. it went straight to the unsold section. I still want to sell the glasses to the highest bidder. what do I do?

if I m thinking correctly, there should be a second chance offer button somewhere in the options of the unsold item. just click that then go to the highest bidders name and send it to him/her. you could always set up the auction again and get the buyer to bid for how much he/she won them for then end the auction early with him/her as the winner. then send the invoice for payment.

What does this mean when you are applying to get a business started? -

Each individual solicitor is required to post a $5,000 personal surety bond, in the name of the individual solicitor -- not the company -- naming the Prince William Board of County Supervisors as obligee at 1 County Complex Court, Prince William, VA 22192. The bond may be obtained through an insurance agencydoes this mean i have to pay 5,000 dollars up front, and can easily appear in court whenever they want me too?what does this mean???

No. The bond can be purchased for LESS than the face value. Basically, it s like an insurance: you did something wrong, they would have at least $5000 in their pocket for damages, even if you run. Then the bond enforcement folks come after you for the rest, and that has nothing to do with them. :)And you are guaranteeing the bond as a PERSON, not as the business, which is a separate entity.

How can I earn money with photography? -

I am good at photography and I want to earn some money. How can I sell photos, printable calendars, etc? Do you know any sites, companies, or anything else which may be interested in this? Thanks!

There are many good photographers that could easily sell their photos, but they really aren t interested in making money selling their photos. Their photos are for them and their friends and that is as far as they want to go. This is fine...check this out....

used to be a photographer used to make killer money doing peanut football teams and little league baseball. you do a couple of team photos and then run the kids thru doing the individual shots and put them in the cardboard cutouts. they cost about a buck a peice to make and i would charge 10 bucks and every parent wants one

there are quite a few online courses that are cheap to take that can help teach you to monetize your photography skills. may be worth a go. what i learned was to develop multiple income streams...

What to put as a new business? -

What is a good business to start located on a strip? The businesses next to it are Papa John s, Movie Gallery, A Chinese Restaurant, And A hot dogg place.I live in South Georgia, thought location might help a bit. Any ideas? Thanks ! (:

Movie Gallery? Is that a Movie Theater or a Movie rental place? If it s a theater then one option would be to put in an Ice Cream store like a Marble Slab Creamery, Rita s Ice or something like that. It could be a nice fit for after movie goers and for the Chinese restaurant which isn t known for its great deserts. This could be a stronger idea if the Strip was easily accessible, had good road frontage for your signage and perhaps was a bit near to a major intersection and possibly a subdivision within a mile or so. Even if it isn t a theater it could still be a good idea.Another option would be to open a second time around shop of some kind. I say this because the demographics of the people in the other businesses could be very good for people who value gently used clothing. These kinds of stores are also becoming more in vogue among the teens for stores like Plato s Closet etc. There could be other options too. The key to choosing a business in this location is to keep in mind that the likely demographics of the people going there will be teens, families, probably middle to lower middle income and point of purchase oriented , i.e. they ll buy because it s there versus going there to buy specifically.Hope that helps.

I want to start a farm what do I need? -

My husband and I want to start a farm with horses and cattle but we aren t sure of what we will need. We have found a couple of different pieces of property that are 35 or 40 acres. What all do we need to get started? Is there any grants or anything else that can help us to achieve this goal?

Most grants go to established farmers who have income/yield records. or grants are for on farm research which means you get several thousands dollars, do the research than get published and do a couple of workshops. in any case don t expect more than $10k from any farm grant.what you need to get started is good land/good pasture, fencing, barns, grain storage, hay storage, a tractor, manure spreader, grooming equipment, feeding equipment, stock trailer, truck(s), hay, grain. And you will need a lot more land than 35 to 40 acres unless you want to raise under 15 head (which will make you no money).Know that when you raise livestock you cannot leave the farm for more than a day unless you have really good help that will reliably come and feed and water the stock daily (these people are amazingly hard to find). If you are doing dairy you have to be home all the time (2x a day milking). So vacations are out.The best bet for a loan is Farm Credit Services

look to the USDA for certain subsidies. aside from what people think, they dont just give you money. When you get your subsidy, You are guarenteed a price from the gov, say $3/lb for beef. If the market price is $5/lb the gov gives you $3, and the buyer gives you $2. if the price falls below $3, you are still guarenteed that price. They also have the Rural Development Program which gives low interest loans to develop in rural areas.

you can check the search engines for farm grants, some years ago I knew of one such program but not sure if it still is availablesome states have programs for their veterans to get into either a business or a farm and the Small Business Administration makes loans

Starting a Christmas Lights Business - How Much Should I Charge for Installing Holiday Lights? -

I m keen to hear from those who have started their own lights business this year.

I run a Christmas lighting business and charge a flat fee where possible (or by the hour, if the job is big). You calculate this by multiplying the size of the house with the man-hours it will take to finish the job. It is normal to charge at least $300-500 to light up a decent-sized house. Also factor in the materials cost (C7, C9 bulbs, LED rope lights, wires) and the cost of any assistants you ll be hiring.

Yeah, you simply start from their own lights business. It s always been that way and it likely enough will always stay that way, too

What is a good job for a middle schooler? -

I m in sixth grade, and I m running low on money. My parents never give me an allowance, even when I do work. I don t have certain jobs to do, so the only money I can count on getting is the $100 my grandparents give me for my birthday, and the loose change I find on the street. So, I need money. I m not old enough to babysit anyone other than my sister, and anyway, who wants to deal with stranger kids for hours and only for 20 or whatever? Not me. I was thinking about dog-walking, but I need a year-round job, and I don t know how many dogs are in my neighborhood. Also, I live in Texas, so no snow-shoveling jobs or crap like that. Anyway, the point is, I need money, and I don t know what to do to get it. So if anyone has any ideas, please help e! I ll answer your question if you have one, I promise! Thank you!!!

Well babysitting is definitely the best way to make money at your age, no matter how boring it may be. If you find the right person, you can make $80 in 3 hours (This happened to my sister once, she watched 4 kids for 3 hours on her birthday, no lie)Also dog walking is a year-round job, dogs need to be walked in june as well as december.Raking, mowing lawns, and yardwork is always a good wayNegotiating some type of allowance with your parents is probably the best, though. Just say you want to learn the value of money or something educational-sounding like that and it should work

HeyI lost my job about 6 months ago and with me having limited skills and cash I turned to the internet to try and make some money. Everyone says they re a scam and honestly I thought they were but dont believe it when people say they are ALL a scam. Its not true! I found one that does work and made me a good income all this time and I live pretty comfortably off what I make each month, better than at my old job anyway. I found maverick money makers and you can learn from these really detailed video tutorials how to earn money. The guy who does them goes into tons of detail so its really easy to follow, and not just one way either he teaches about 20 known ways that have worked for me its really cool. Check out the site below and you can see him taking you through some of the stuff he does. the joining fee is $97 and its guarenteed too, if you re totally rubbish and havent made the sort of money you want in 60 days you can have your money back :)Hope that helps you. Have fun, and good luck! :-D

Seller on eBay agrees to my best offer but counters with $1 and says will bill rest later? -

A seller listed an item on eBay for $120. I countered with $80. The Seller agrees to the price but says he or she counters with $1 and will bill remaining $79. What does the Seller gain from this? Is this eBay policy?

No, Paypal gets it s percentage. He s cheating eBay out of their final value fee. Technically, you don t have to pay more than $1.

why wouldn t they want the money now? doesn t sound right. sounds like they will try and bill you more than $9 later and then report you to ebay if you don t pay - they probably won;t ship it anyway or they will keep your $ and give you negative feedback or a non-paying strike which is BADRUN AWAY!!!!!!

Might be trying to get around the percentage due to pay pal. I just stay away from things that sound hinky though.

What is wholesale and retail? -

what kinds of businesses is it?

Retail are places that sell directly to the public like shops and restaurants. Wholesale are businesses that sell to retailers i.e. not directly to the general public.

wholesale is a price that is usually under retail price, and given when you buy a whole lot of one item. Usually a business will buy wholesale, and sell at the Retail price that is how they make their money. The business that sells the smaller business their product also makes money off of the massive sale. The item should not cost as much as the wholesale price to make so there is always a profit.

Wholesaling is the sale of goods or merchandise to retailers, to industrial, commercial, institutional, or other professional business users, or to other wholesalers and related subordinated services. Example would be a Cash and Carry which supplied goods at trade(wholesale) prices to shopsRetailing is the selling of goods to consumers; usually in small quantities and not for resale. Example would be a shop selling to the general public. So yes a clothes shop is a retailer and the places where the clothes shop gets its stock from e.g. a clothes warehouse, would be the retailer.

All businesses use this system they buy the commodity cheap from the supplier of the goods as cheap as they can then double or treble its price or even more then sell it to you at the greater price hence wholesale and the big money earner RETAIL so the seller to you can have the big house,Flash car and a pocket full of money

What is the best business option in kuwait ? -

Are you Kuwaiti? My understanding is that ONLY Kuwaiti s can own businesses in Kuwait. Otherwise you ll need to be sponsored by someone who IS.I still think that importing LEVIs jeans and opening a LEVIS store in either Fahaheel or Salmiya would be a great way to cater to the people there who are obsessed with things American. Too bad you can t open up a wine bar or something, but the thought of the people there driving the way they do after a glass of wine or two is terrifying. Self restraint isn t one of Kuwait s best attributes.

What is an annual report for a LLC? -

Is it the same thing as taxes?? What is the fee for? Thanks!

It s to inform the state that the LLC is alive and kicking, and that all current officers and such are still there (or inform them of any changes). If you don t do that, your LLC may be declared invalid if something happens.EDIT: actual report date depends on state law.

Where can i find grants? -

I have an 84 year old grandmother how needs a new house it is falling in on here and we are trying our best to help her but she needs a new home.

www.grants.gov

You re not going to find any such grant. The government doesn t make it a practice of giving away taxpayers money to individual citizens. If your grandmother s home is really uninhabitable, could she go to live with any of her children or grandchildren? If not, have you considered senior citizen housing for her?

Getting started on Ebay? -

Hi everyone :)Im 18 next week, so Im finally gonna be able to get my own ebay account ect, Im a college student and I specialise in fashion, so it will be very helpful indeed, I want to sell and buy things.. :)I was just wondering, how do I get started, do I need paypal first? and if so, is it easy to sort out, also do I need a credit card or anything? Ive just got my bank account at the moment...thank you :)

EBay has become one of the internet largest selling portal today, it has offered a variety of business an excellent market of getting their products to their customers in a fashion that is unmatched throughout the entire internet. Many sellers have been able to increase their income and wages and make thousands and millions each year just by using this online auction portal. By offering your customers the conveniences of using EBay to purchase your goods, you are letting them know you are serious about your business and your products. Prior to becoming a seller on EBay there are a few things you should know and do before you begin your new venture. The first thing you should do is read over the EBay rules and regulations, this will help you avoid conflict and know what you can and cannot do. There are some rules on what can and cannot be sold and how you can and cannot sell them. It is important to thoroughly read and understand all these rules and regulations prior to selling, so you will have the ability to protect yourself. The next thing you should do is know who your customers are, by fully understanding your market and whom you want to sell to, you will be better able to determine what titles, details, and content you should put to target the specific audience you want to target. Additionally, make sure you are aware of all fees involved with EBay, they have a specific chart of selling fees, many sellers will integrate these fees into the price of their items so they will not lose out on any money.Another important aspect of selling on EBay is to know the payment schemes that are available and that you are willing to accept. EBay allows you to make use of credit cards, checks, money orders, and Pay Pal payment services. When you list an item you should clearly state what you are willing to and not willing to accept, this is extremely important and you should make sure your customers fully understand this when bidding. EBay is not all about auctions, though this is a large portion of it. EBay also offers Stores for business that want to sell as Buy Now instead of putting up for the highest bidders. EBay comes with a great amount of different options for sellers. Some options include the ability to specify the area in which your customers can purchase from, the currency type they can use to purchase your items, for bidding items you can specify if you want bidders who have negative feedback or not. There are a lot of different features with EBay that can help you make a good deal of money if used correctly.

Register your bank account with paypoo, verify it and off you go.

no need for credit cards, you just need to register with paypal and off you go!. good luck!

Could this work to my advantage? -

OK, I am an aspiring film maker working on saving money for film school which will probably end up costing about $20 grand a year at AAU which is where I wanna go...Mom and I were talking earlier and she had an idea that could gain me more experience and earn money for school at the same time...The idea was to put myself out as a director to anyone who wanted an event directed and edited with professional quality at a semi-professional price... she said I could charge per hour and per DVD made (I was thinking 1st DVD free and charge per extra)If I did consider that, what would be a smart way to get started on that (I was thinking craigslist or a professional facebook) and what would be good to charge?

Advertise in all your local papers print up some flyer s. You can not advertise too much. Yes you would need a website to promote your services and show some samples of your work.I don t know too many regular people who need directors, so you may just want to advertise the photography part with a twist- special events, birthdays, anniversaries and so on.Facebook Myspace are nice personal pages, but not really good for advertising, since anyone who joins you can comment on anything.Tripod offers free websites you can add a guestbook.

I prefer making personal contacts, advertise through friends, peersYou can use local newspapers later..And also you use lots of yellow pages in online other than social networking sitesTwitter is one of the good options if you try it on social networking sites. It is a good planGo for it

Where do you register a name for a new business? -

I m opening a new computer repair store and I need to know where to go to register the name and also availability of free names.I went to town hall and they had no idea where to go for that! For the state of Ohio, summit county

Depending on the type of business you are starting, there are categories a business falls into: trade, fictitious or corporate. If you want the name of your business to be protected so that others cannot use it, you will want to have either a trade name or corporate name. You should contact the Secretary of the State of Ohio to register a name. You may do this in writing and mail your request to the Office of the Secretary of State, 30 East Broad Street, 14th Floor, Columbus, OH 43266-0418 or telephone at (614) 466-3910. To check to see whether a name is being used in the State of Ohio at present, you may call a name availability line at (614) 466-0590. A trade name registration fee is $20 and reserves the name for five years. The registration of the name may be renewed at the end of each five-year term for a $10 fee.Register your business name under a fictitious name if you do not wish to register it as a trade name or corporate name and the name does not fully reveal the owners of the business. The law states that a business or corporation that uses a name other than the owner s personal last name or legal name must obtain a DBA business name certificate. Registering a business using a fictitious name does not guarantee that another business cannot use the same name. It merely functions as a way for the state to identify the business owner(s). Contact the Office of the Secretary of State to register a fictitious business name.Register the business name as a corporate name if you want your business name to be protected from use by others in the same manner as a trade name. If you choose to do this, understand that the name must end with or include Company, Co., Corporation, Corp., Incorporated or Inc. Ohio Law guarantees that you can keep the corporate name as long as the corporation remains in good standing with the state. To register a name, contact the Office of the Secretary of State, 30 East Broad Street, 14th Floor, Columbus, OH 43266-0418 or telephone at (614) 466-3910. There is also a name availability line that you may call to see if a name is currently being used in the State of Ohio. The name availability line is (614) 466-0590.Hope this information is helpful! Good luck with your business!

Register with your county clerks office or parish clerk office the fee is about 75.00 per year, then register with your state department of tax office they should give you a tax id number to pay state taxes then, register and get your EIN number from the IRS to pay federal taxes. Those should be all of the registrations of your business. Call the SCORE they can also give you direction regarding your new business. This is a company that helps small businesse, most states have this organization. They also have an 800 number.

if town hall doesn t know-that makes no sense - try the county courthouse next - if you plan on using a ficticious name for your business, that requires a legal posting in the newspaper, and you will also need a state sales tax license

Where can I find good and correct information regarding candidates running for office? -

I would like to find a good website (or several websites) that will give me correct information regarding the candidates running for office (in the US), specifically for president. I dont want opinions or link to blogs, or any far right-wing or far left-wing sites that sugar coats the facts to make their party look good. Im looking for facts. I also make it a point not to vote for a specific party; I vote for the person who I feel will do a better job. In the debates you always hear of one person bringing up they voted this way or that, but the other person says its a lie. I dont follow every move the candidates make but obviously this is a critical presidential election coming up and I want to make sure my vote goes to the right person. Are there any websites that will give me good info? I will check out each candidates site, but I was wondering if there are any others? Thanks in advance.

If you want to review voting records, try Thomas (thomas.loc.gov). There are also a ton of books that you can buy. Try Congressional Voting Scores and Interest Group Ratings. I m not sure if DC is it s only location but if there is a Politics and Prose near you just go there and they have every resource you could hope for and their sales people are generally very informative/helpful.Hope this helps.

lol if you find out let me know- quite honestly, I think the only way is to pull up their voting records, listen to the reasons on why the voted that way, and check it against the bill. I look at fact checker.org alot, but in reality it s alot harder to get real concrete information, based on the whole picture and not just a small part here and there.

Is it best to hire a lawyer for paypal problem? -

My account has limited access and paypal wont release my funds. I cant deliver items to my buyers..Is hiring a attorney can fight my rights?

usually they provide some ways to verify your account like sending copy of bank account or passport etc. you will have to fax these to paypal given number. once this is done they will remove the limited access. I once had this issue with lot of money in paypal and was frightened but once I send the bank account statement, it was solved. Actually, limiting of accounts is done whenever they feel your account is being hijacked. (don t know how they do it, for me it was when I moved to different place and my IP address changed). so it is really a safety measure but it is sometime irritating to users..

It sounds like it s a new PayPal account. All of the terms and conditions are listed - and you agreed to them - when you set up your account, so a lawyer won t be able to help you. Log onto your account and actually read the Terms of Service that you probably just skipped over when you opened your account...therein lies your answers. If the buyers have paid for the item, you are required to send them whether or not you have access to the funds. The buyers have paid and the funds are there - PayPal will release the funds to you when your holding period is up. You have no reason not to send the items and can be penalized if you don t. I suggest you read eBay s TOS also.

You have signed away your rights when you accepted the Paypal user agreement; and further still when you listed this particular item, you were informed that funds may be held for 21 days- again you agreed before you listed. If you are selling then you need to have a surplus amount of cash that you use for posting, You cannot be saying you would make your Buyers wait for 4-7 days before money is withdrawn from Paypal to your Bank in order for you to post?

You have to be careful, as mentioned about reading the terms and conditions. Not sure if its worth using a lawyer for this or not going forward you want to make sure you are prepared. The resource listed below may help. good luckMichelle

Are you really going to spend $5,000 on a lawyer for a pay-pal issue?????

I sold an item on ebay.? -

Hello guys, I sold a item on ebay and the buyer emailed me that he will collect the item from me next day. He came near my address the next day to collect the phone and I went with the item near him. He was standing near a shop on a street. So as i mat him he said i dont want to do this transaction on the street but in your house. I was not to sure about this. So i took him outside my door and then he again said i dont want to do it outside but I want to do it in your house. So i took him in. He stared asking me questions about why r u selling the item and how my more do you have and he said i need to go on ebay and click the item saying that you have received the money. All this questions he should have asked when he wanted to buy the item.It looked like he just wanted to take his time in.I done what he said and then he asked me that he needs a written receipt from me with his addess and my address and that he has paid cash on collection.I dont know if i have done the right thing taking him in my house. Do you think i have done the right thing and was it safe. The buyer had over 100 feedbacks on ebay and so did I. The buyer looked bit strange.

His behavior is definately strange. He s right about marking the item paid. You should definately do that. And some people want a receipt for anything they buy, ever.He definately should have asked any questions about the item before bidding. But it doesn t sound like he was asking you personal questions, so that s good.It s his insistance that it be done at your house that concerns me. And inside the door wasn t good enough; he wanted to go all the way in the house. I get the feeling he could be casing it, to try to break in later.I did a search on ebay and didn t find any useful information about suspicious buyers and local pickups, unfortunately. I would suggest contacting them, either by email, chat or phone (you have to go to help, contact us, type in a question, then select a best answer before you can call or email). Ask if they have any advise.Next time insist on meeting at a public place. You really never know who you re dealing with online, unfortunately. If the guy really rubbed you wrong I d contact the local police and start looking into home defense/security options, personally.

Never let a stranger into your home. He could have done something very terrible and nobody would of noticed. When you have something for sale on ebay, make sure to let buyers know that PICKUP IS NOT AVAILABLE. That will keep you safe, and the buyer safe. Just have the buyer pay for shipping.

What is the difference between a Growing Product Market and a Mature Product Market? -

Does anyone know how to compare and contrast a grwoing product market to a mature product marketthanks:D

one way would be sales volume. in a gpm there would be increasing sales from year to year and in a mpm sales would be level (stagnant) or even declining, from year to year.
