Who can give me any ideas on starting a business? -

I ve just come in in to some spear change and I want to start a business but I have no idea what to do or what type of business I want to start. I have $30K at hand. Can you guys and gals offer any suggestions on what I can do, serious!!

A short term investment. 6 month note would be good at this time. Think things threw! Don t rush! Find something you like and is viable. A franchise Business? Might be a good place to look. For that amount of money. But check them out! Before you spend!

Tips for selling on ebay? -

like to maximize money made and cut down on shipping costs?

The shipping costs are paid for by the buyer, which is the norm for all online purchases, with few exceptions. As such, this should not be a concern or issue, provided your shipping charges are not excessive.I can help you with tips:Be honest and accurate in your descriptions C One-sentence descriptions are for lazy sellers. One paragraph should be sufficient for most items. My general guideline is the more expensive (read higher priced) an item, the more you should talk it up. It wont be time wasted. Use lots of adjectives in your descriptions. Adjectives make prose and your items come alive. Without them, prose is dull and your items less appealing. Just add a little sizzle and even have a little fun with it. In short, make your descriptions stand out above the crowd.Be professional - use good English with no spelling errors C AVOID ALL CAPS TEXTPICTURES:Including one picture is a MUST, more pictures for higher priced items. Make sure your pictures are clear. There are far too many pictures on ebay that are dark. If prospective buyers cant see your items clearly, your items, more than likely, will not fetch the closing prices they deserve. To remove darkness, use any photo editor to add some brightness and a wee bit of contrast. Eliminate clutter. Prospective bidders dont want to know what kind of cereal you eat or what kind of kitchen table or bedspread you have. Use a SOLID backdrop when taking your pictures as you want to focus all of the attention on your item. In short, the one and only thing you want in your picture is the item being sold. A SOLID white or light blue backdrop is best. However, there are certainly items that wont show well on a light backdrop. In these cases, use a darker backdrop. And for gosh sake, dont even think of using a plaid blanket as a backdrop for your pictures as I once saw on ebay. You should also crop the photos in your photo editor. Good pictures can add 5% to 10% to final closing prices. GOOD DESCRIPTIONS + GOOD PICTURES = GOOD PRESENTATION. This is what you should strive for.COMMUNICATION:GOOD Communication is a must - Always notify buyers when you mail their items. It is not only a courtesy you would want and expect as a buyer but it is also both good customer service and good business practice. After all, you are the President CEO of your company running your business but using ebay as your selling medium. In short, conduct your business so that it reflects well on you as a person. Treat everyone as a human being, not a living being and this includes people who have inquiries about your items, not just your buyers. Prospective buyers making these inquiries could ultimately be the winning bidders and possible repeat customers.TIPS TO MAXIMIZE PROFITS:Do not limit your auctions to one country. SELL WORLDWIDE. The reason is elementary. You now have access to the largest market ebay has to offer. Limiting your auctions to only one country also limits your potential profits. A basic business tenet is, the greater the potential market, the greater the potential to maximize profits. But do note in your listing that PayPal is the only form of payment you will accept from overseas bidders/buyers. Through experience, you will learn that there are certain problem countries. Italy seems to be one of them. Mail sent to buyers in Italy very often mysteriously disappears. If this is the case, just note in your listing you sell to all countries EXCEPT (name(s) here). However, if you decide to limit sales to only one country, such as the USA, never say NO when you receive an email asking if you would ship to Taiwan, Germany, Australia or wherever. The reason is that you have a FISH ON THE HOOK! This person will bid! When he or she does, this may force a previous bidder to enter another, higher bid or force later, first time bidders to come in with higher bids. So always say YES to these emails if you want to maximize your profits. But do say that PayPal is the only form of payment you will accept from these overseas biddersAvoid selling nickel and dime items. People who list and sell a steady stream of items that close for $5 or less are wasting their time. Less expensive, similar items ($5 or less) are best sold as a group to save time. If you have a large number of these cheaper, similar items, divide them up into sub lots of three, four or five. More expensive (higher priced), similar items are best sold individually to maximize profits. There are ebay vultures who just love to swoop down on similarly grouped items in one listing. When they win these auctions, they turn around and sell the items individually and, in most cases, get one and a half to 2 times and sometimes three times what they paid for them on an average item basis. I know this works. When I had more time (read unemployed), I was one of these vultures. This is one of those situations where the parts are worth more than the whole. However, do be cautious if you venture into this arena. You have to know your merchandise. Stay in those areas you are familiar with. You cant jump in blindly to any and every auction that has grouped items. If you can buy a large lot of similar merchandise for $100 to $300 and turn it around for $150 to $900, it works out very nicely, indeed! Most buyers of these large lots will be vultures as well so you could be butting bids. Keep in mind that the higher the closing price at ebay, the less your profit on the turnaround. Its not an exact science and it does take a little experience to really know what youre doing but you cant be afraid to go out on a limb. Thats where the fruit is. When I see an auction of grouped items it tells me loud and clear that the seller is far more interested in getting rid of their stuff the quickest, easiest way possible and be done with it rather than in making a decent profit or profit at all. If you wish to do your listings offline, download the Turbo Lister program free from eBay. You can then upload them en masse anytime.Lastly, keep in mind that experience is the best teacher. Once you get your feet wet and gain confidence, start listing more items on a weekly basis. You will soon learn the ins and outs and the dos and donts in short order and ultimately settle on a system that works best for you. The more items you list, the more items you will sell, the more $$ you will make and the harder you will work. Nothing in life comes easy and that includes becoming a successful seller at ebay. If you are conscientious and put in a little extra effort, you will do well. If you are lazy or indifferent in selling your items, you wont. Good luck happy selling!

I think it may be difficult to cut down on shipping costs. Depending on the item, a big profit on ebay will be hard because ebay is all about getting bargains. When you list something, look at similar items and price at no more than the midway vale that everyone else has priced there item at. If you want to charge top dollar, you will have to add in extras to justify the retail price or greater.

Buy stuff that s from your country.

Can a self-taught freelance designer still make good money? -

Once upon a time, I tried going to college to study design. It was horrible. I d learned more in my years of computer design to know that basic HTML for my entire first semester was not worth the cost of courses. So here I am. A designer with a normal job, looking to enter the field of freelance more seriously. Though it won t be my sole bread-winning job, it will be my passion. I m not concerned with making millions off designing. I just want to a comfortable amount from it as a side job. With no fancy paper saying I m University-bred and my own talent being my meal ticket to succeed, will I be able to do what I m wanting to do?

The freelancer one is good advice. It s legit. Others are rentacoder.com and elance.comYou will need an online portfolio of your work. When it come to creative skills like web designing it s more important that your site looks good and functions well and a degree won t help that.Advertise on craigslist. The sites will have to be cheep at first, but you can use them for your portfolio later. (Then you gradually charge more.) Craigslist allows HTML, so you can really show off your skills.

Yes, you can. But it will take hard work and you might have to design websites for free so that word of mouth gets around.

i distribuate to three cities so i need 3 different accounts to be able to devide the orders and all but i still want to see the total income at the end of the week this is in quickbooks? anyone can help me please?

My thought is that you should set up 3 revenue accounts like Service Revenue - City A , Service Revenue - City B , and Service Revenue - City C . Then your reports will show revenue for each city and QB will naturally show the total revenue.

Is there any truth about web sites offering money for working from home for two hours and get paid around ten? -

they offer fantastic returns only minimum computer knowledge required etc.

Probably not.The game is that they want you to pay a small fee to be a member of the club, and that s how they make THEIR money--by finding suckers willing to pay the fee.

You can earn Rs.25000 very first month from data entry jobs on internet. This is an easy work from home form filling jobs. Work less than 1 hr daily. No investment. Please visit the website http://michael4gefchurch.blogspot.com

To some extent is it true. you ll only invest 2 hours of your time to test them out.. dont find any reason why one cant take that much risk ?

If you have to pay a fee means never trust such sites.

Looking for true partner then log on to http://businessbookkeepers.com.au it can offer you different ways to earn money.

Trump Network MLM Question? -

Hi Everyone.Trying to get some info on the Trump Network.I have a pretty good understanding about MLM s and understand the pitfalls. My question is are people having a success with it?How are the products selling? What are you doing to generate leads? It seems the products are a bit overpriced even though they seem to be good quality. What is the key to be successful in an MLM.Thank you in advance for your comments.

People are having and have been having success with it, since the Trump Network Cpreviously Ideal Health C has been around for twelve years. The products include highly-advanced, scientifically-proven health and wellness products, including customized testing and metabolic analysis, effective weight-management solutions and vitamin and mineral supplements. The most popular product is a personalized multivitamin (Custom Essentials?), designed for an individual s specific needs and nutritional deficiency. The Trump Network will send you leads once you each a certain level. Also, my team teaches new marketers how to generate leads on there own with many free tools. The main keys to success are believing in your own potential, treating the MLM as a business not a hobby, and most importantly finding a good system/TEAM to help you succeed.

Hi there. I have heard of the Trump Network. I was in a similar business and to be completely honest with you, when times are tough, the first thing people cut out of their budget is autoship of a product. I have a couple people who joined Trump way before the launch, however, I have not heard back from them about their success or lack of. The key to being successful in ANY MLM is to have the right mindset and to be trained. If you would like to know more, send me a message.

The key to success is obviously your lead generation skills. Leads = money. That means the first step is to get some good online marketing knowledge under your belt. I use a generic lead generation system that my downline can plug right into with minimal training.

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

There are not a lot. Here are some ideas:If you can write, code or have other computer skills, try an outsourcing site like rentacoder or guru (both are .com) Some outsourcing sites also specialize in accounting. There are also sites that specilize in translators, although elance is the only one I can think of off the top of my heard. If you re any good with a camera, (real photos, not snapshots ) you can sell the pics as stock photos to stock photo sites like istock or shutter stockBuy a PLR ebook with master resale rights (very important to have that phrase) and set up your own website to sell it.Sell on eBay, but it doesn t have to your stuff. Become a eBay dropoff place. People will bring you their stuff to sell. You can photograph it and write descriptions and set up the auctions. Then you can either take a cut or charge a flat fee.or for an easy biz, try this: Dog care business; you can walk them, and pick up the yard for the owners. (it sounds crazy but my friend has lucrative pooper scooper/dog walking business. Some people just let their dogs loose in the yard and never pick up after them since it s their yard. But just because they don t want to do it, doesn t mean they wouldn t like it done

check out guru.comyou fill out a resume type thing and select the kinds of jobs you are looking for. A lot of them are online jobs and it s legit.

Try this site. They will show you step by step in videowith Zero Investment how to make make money.http://bit.ly/910QOq

I can only give you advice based upon my own experience. I have not had a online business thus far but am researching my options now. Find actual people who are already involved in the type of business you are interested in. For Example: I wanted to be a landlord and so in Feb. 2008 I bought my first 2 unit building while working with someone who has been doing this for 25+ years. While entering into this business venture I have tried to keep to some fundamental business rules so that I can be successful. 1. Make sure that I can rent out the 2 units for enough to pay for all taxes and maintenance. 2. Upgrade the basement and attic for my own living use and then I can save all of my money from my own regular job. By sticking to both of these rules I can control how much money I keep. It is not how much money you make, but how much money you keep that allows you to grow wealthy and then be able to invest in other business ventures that use the same premise. To conclude what I have said I would advise you to seek out people you know who are successful internet business people, and if you don t know any then talk to the people close to you who may know someone. Once you have contacted several people who are successfull at this then you need to zero in on the one or two of them who are willing to walk you through the entire process. After that, you need to continue to constantly update your contacts so that you can continue to get the needed information to help you become better at the business venture you are persuing.

Im looking to run a wholesale business and i need to build a website along with it.? -

i need to to allow people to purchase things, so the website would require a shopping cart, quanity button for how much the person wants and a add to cart button. basically something like this: www.aerialbouquets.comdoes yahoo website builder give you these options? (to put buttons like these on your site etc)

Nothing against yahoo! or the stores, but the templates look drab and boring. They re cookie cutter sites look like a lot of others. Go check out Volusion.com I went there and have never been happier!

Yahoo will do it but not your best solution.Find a hosting company that offers cPanel backend. From there you can automatically install osCommerce - an open source ecommerce solution that will meet your needs perfectly. For more on building and marketing your website check out www.zedbiz.com or your local chamber of commerce for ecommerce consultants.

It does but Yahoo can be expensive in the long run. There are a lot of carts out there to choose from.I personally went with creloaded.com but would probably go with magento.com if I had to do it again. Do some more homework to look at their bells and whistles to see what works best for what you are looking to do, search engine optimization, yada yada.

Very professional EASY to use and best of all FREE drag and drop website builder! Right herehttp://www.vodahost.com/partner/idevaffiliate.php?id=14757_1Your welcome.

Propogate some uses of internet and also u can easily make business by attracting them with Video-gaming. Start new Affordable basic courses for idle women, house-wives.....above all these suggestions, U must try to create Opportunities for yourself, Be Innovative. Do more publicity at watever u do...... Or U can relocate to some city/town if u r not satisfied. But werever u move to, Ups and Downs keep coming ur way. So, U must learn to deal wise with them...... :)GOOD LUCK ! (hope this helps u..)

How would I start a WoW website that sell wow accounts? -

How would I start a WoW website that sell wow accounts? Maybe even gold. About how much money would I need to start?

My advice is not to! Not only is it against Blizzards terms of use, but you will be no better than the gold farmers that we all so hate! Any accounts you put on there will be banned, and very few people buy gold and accounts anyway any more.

Blizzard will lock all of the accounts you have listed for sale as it goes against their terms of use.

Trust us that wouldnt work don t be asking stuff like that what if a blizzard employee is reading this then they can see that someone is doing illegal account trading. And beside that would be nerdy of you to do that.

You would only need money for the domain name, and sometimes the website hosting. I would recommend using Office Live because it has free website hosting and the domain name cost $15 dollars Yearly

if your asking how to get a website you wont be smart enough to run it

I want to start work in us what minimum salary i get? -

legally, $7.25, or something like that. between $7 and $8 an hour.

it depends on which state you are going to live in just visit this website and locate your state and then click on it http://www.dol.gov/whd/minwage/america.htm

Successful small business owners - what is your best advice for someone starting out only 2 years in? -

I d love to hear what has helped you the most to be successful in your field.thanks!

If you are starting in two years then you are best to do a course in running a small business. Learn about tax requirements. Banking facilities, Wages Salaries, Insurance, sales marketing.A small business can vary from a retail shop to a trades person. You must determine your prduct viability within the market before you proceed. Perhaps do a survey, either online, door to door, or a mail-out.Also, the goods and service you provide will need to be reputable and popular unless you are providing to a special market then you will need a high profit margin.High volume sales are maintained by providing a low cost but the damages and faulty stock returns may impede some of your profits. Don t spend excessively on fancy shop fittings till you know the goods or services will be successful for you.Don t start your business if you have no assets or savings. You can start a business on less than $5000 but, remember that your income will need to be derived from the profits and if there are no sales for the first few months, due to setting up processes, you will need income to support you till the businesses is fully operational. Cost out the expected operational expenses for the day, week, month, year. Take into account that gas electrictiy, rent, car expenses, phone internet, wages, insurances, must be part of your costing.

Those in the retail business, what was your take on this years Black Friday? -

busier than years past? slow?

lol...you probably didnt get much response because everyone in retail is working nonstop for the next month! :)anywho, my husband is in management at walmart and thier sales on friday were down about 2% from last year.

How do I find a business broker for selling a business? -

I m entering year five of a small business I ve started. Gross sales $250K in 2009, net cash flow about $75K. Provable top 5 in the market. Startup plan was to sell after five years and I m itching to move on to the next project. I m an entrepreneur, not a manager, and I m ready to start planning my exit strategy. There are plenty of people who want to list the business, but how do I find the one who will maximize the value to me without leaving me personally exposed if the business fails to thrive under the new management? What questions do I need ask potential brokers to help me find the one ? Please don t take this as an opportunity to solicit or to make specific recommendations of brokers.

Contact your local/city chamber of commerce and ask if they can help you find a broker

Here s a question for your potential broker:Please give me the contact information for five people who are happy your brokered their businesses.

How much should I pay someone to do my brakes?(at my home, not at a shop)? -

If I m buying parts, and they are doing brakes/rotors, front and rear...how much should I pay them?

I agree with the other poster but you better make sure they know what they are doing, I wouln t have anyone touching my brakes myself, not even so called licensed mechanics, they are all cowboys. Also, you might not need to have rotors replaced but fluid might need replacing and bleeding, wheel bearings checked and general visual inspection won t hurt.I think $150 is plenty but you forgot to say what car it is, it might make a difference. Also when in there it s worth giving it a good clean, so that would reflect on price. But cowboys never clean anyways.

Are they professional mechanics ? In a shop they get about $100.00 per axel (wheel) and I have never heard of them going to someones home,if they are what we call shade tree mechanics then $100.00 and no more then $150.00 should do.The reason is it should take no more then a hour and a half to do this.If they have a jack that can lift the whole front or back it can be done in less then an hour.I would caution you we are talking about the brakes, you know the things that STOP the car so make sure that the people or person who is going to do this has some experience.I would ask him how many brake jobs have you done. Why are you buying new rotors? If this is the first time for a brake job the rotors can be ground by any auto parts store. If the person who is going to do this told you to buy new rotors ask him why, because already I am having doubts about his skill level.I really wish you well Remember this if he is not a license mechanic and something goes wrong it will be on you.Brakes should not be left up to amatures.

Question about looking for a work at home online job!? -

Hi, I would like to find a job where I can work at home. Little or no training, because I wouldnt be able to do ANY public training/ go anywhere for it. I would simply like to respond to emails, or like online forums or something along the lines. I dont have very much computer experience, and I wouldnt be able to rlly talk to people live (I am 13), I wouldnt be excpecting a real payment, just like some cash or something. I have seen the sites where you answers surveys. I am looking for something that could bring in a tiny bit more money than that. Where could I find a job like this, or what is it classified as? Thank you!

Ever since the Internet first came into use, people have tried to find ways to profit from it. Throughout the course of the Internet, over the past decade or so, several different programs have come to light which have helped people to make a substantial amount of money. One of these programs is offered by Google and once you have an account with Google, you can run their ads on your blog. It is an excellent way for you to make some extra money for your efforts, or even to start a business that can become a source of income. As a matter of fact, blogging with AdSense is one of the easier ways to get started making money that is currently available. The first thing that you are going to need to do is to establish an account with Google so that you could begin running the ads on your blog. In order for you to do this, you are either going to need to have an established website that you are hosting on your own server or a blog that is running on blogger.com.Although it is possible for you to make money by using the blogger.com service, it is a much better idea for you to have your own domain and hosting so that you have total control over all aspects of the software.

Yes. I am in a great discounts membership program company called MyWorldPlus. It lets me make some money on the side while I can still be a stay at home dad, cleaning the house and fixing all the meals. MyWorldPlus is also a network marketting (MLM) company but please don t let that scare you. There are many reputable MLM s now-a-days that have been around for years.swiftcash.myworldresults.comThis is the most powerful discount membership program and home based business opportunity in the world. And it s also very afforable. I spent many days looking at different things to make money online. I got ripped off by Cash Crate taking their stupid surveys and wasted my time filling out a lot of stupid applications. I saw a lot of things that looked like Ponzi schemes. But this home based business opportunity really excited me a lot. Please do check it out. I will only help those that want some help. Even if you don t want to recruit anyone, the savings alone are worth the membership fee.

Are there any limits to how many items you can list for sale on Ebay? I vaguely remember...? -

that Ebay requires a certain amount of positive feedback before you can list a lot of products for sale. Does anyone know what this minimum feeback amount is?

The amount of items is irrelevantFor a Sellr to have BUY IT NOW items -10 feedback and verified, otherwise has to be auction format, so won t take long if you buy some small items

How much should I charge? -

I am creating a website design company and I am trying to figure out how much to charge. (very good websites, flash, database, etc)I don t want to charge up front, I would rather charge per month (I am also hosting them on my server)there are 3 of us in the business so remember livable wage.I was thinking maybe $60 per month, do you think thats to high/low?would you pay it?

I think you should break down your pricing into two segments. 1) a fee for designing and implementing the web site and2) a modest monthly charge for hosting the web site.I think you should change pricing model to either collecting for the design services up front and going with a monthly fee of less than $20.00 or adopt the same model the cell phone carriers do, that is, have your customer sign a two year contract with no escape clause and charge enough each month to cover your design charges as well as your monthly fees.Hope this helpsJerry-the-bookkeeper

When do you think we should start outsourcing teachers? -

Have they become so expensive that we need to consider less costly alternatives?

Teachers are expensive ? I wonder what world you re living on. Teachers are one of the least paid / hardest working people around, and so critical to our future I wonder why they aren t being paid MORE so more people would go into the field. American Federation of Teachers (AFT) says in 2006-7 average teacher is being paid $51009. That s before the crisis . That s about on par with a decent executive assistant s salary, a job with far less scrutiny by a TON of people, from school to government to parents, and far less off-job hours (homework grading, etc.).

Hey why not start outsourcing students.

i m just verely starting selling avon with my brochure how do i make my purchases and how do i placed them do they have to be only online payments what happens if my costumer pays me cash were do i place there money or i need to give it to my representative help

Have you done the online training on the Avon website yet? It should tell you how the ordering process works. I wish I could be more help with this but I m from Canada and I m sure there are a few differences between our websites. When you deliver orders you collect all of the money that your customers owe you. You should open up a new bank account just to use for Avon, it s not a good idea to mix your business spending with your personal spending. After your deliveries are finished you deposit all of the checks and cash into your Avon bank account, then you do an online bill payment through your bank to Avon. I know you re probably from the US so there might be a few different ways to do it. Call the customer service line to find out exactly how to do it. They are usually pretty good at helping people out with questions like these. Here s what I found on the US site about contacting Avon. * Call Avon s automated customer service system, FAST Talk, at 513-551-2866. The system provides you with current account information, including billing and shipping details on your orders and account balance information. It s available 24 hours a day. * To access email or to learn more about FAST Talk, log in to yourAVON.com now. Select the Contact Us link or Help link in the top menu bar to learn more.If you have questions or concerns about your Avon business, contact your District Sales Manager or the person with whom you had your Appointment.

If I have thought of a new idea for a product, how do I go about attempting to get it made, etc? -

Thanks in advance for any replies.

You need to do impartial market research to see if there is a real and profitable market. For example copying a market leader but aiming to make it cheaper and slightly different is a route to failure for many reasons. Due to the incompetence of Gordon Brown having something made in the UK is probably impractical as it will cost to much.~Email me if you want an impartial viewpoint - and the difficult questions you need to answer!

Depending on your budget.Usually, entrepreneurs make a prototype (first model) to make sure the real thing is what he/she wants before going for mass production.Check out the manufacturer s quotations for small, medium and large quantities.Read suggested resources to give you some idea.

Any investor or manufacturer needs to know that the idea:1) IS NEW2) WORKS3) IS TRULY YOURSSo the burden is on you to provide a reasonable amount of proof to show these things are true. This can be done as follows.1) do product and patent searches2) build and test one3) Apply for a patent. The hard bit is making money from the idea!

I would consult your local business manager at your bank who should be able to help with connections, as well as financial advice.

How would I go about starting an online clothing business? -

My sister and I want to start a clothing business online, but we ve never done anything like this before, so there s many things that we are unsure about. We already know what type of clothing we are going to sell and who it will target. I m planning on creating my own website and graphics as well. I guess what i m most unsure of is who I can buy the clothing from that will allow me to resell it. (I need white clothes, such as t-shirts and sweatshirts, etc.) If you ve ever done anything like this, could you please give me any information that you think will be helpful? Thank you!

.. Ok.. you better will need a plan, and market study first ... clothing business online, is very tough (alot of competition and how you would attract customers and traffic to your online, while 30%-50% of online small business deal with clothing??.. plus the big giant retailers as well ??.. My advice if you want to do it, better to get a location for a retail store to direct customers. If you decide to go for a regular retail store.. it will Depends on your location first.. (High traffic location is a must for clothing business).. what will be your specialty ?? adult / females/ males/ or everything ??.. it will cost you alot much if you get everything at once as a start.. and you would not have the nice variety for each devision you want ..If you look for specialty first , as women clothes, or men, or kids, it would be better to concentrate and make good name for your start, with less money damage if it turns out to be something else. plus the rest of the other money you would save for back-up plan, advertisment, etc....there is many places.. yet the quality, and the shipping prices will make the difference.. what you will need to think before start :-1- Location, Location, Location.............. high traffic with $5,000.00 better than away location with $1,000.00 rent, etc... 2- what will be your basic main customers ?? Young adults?? teens ?? working women ?? etc.....3- You look for everything to have at once is very bad for your budget, (Except if you have at least $150,000.00 ) yes i m serious.. You can start small (Not actually small) with $10,000 and you specified only with women trendy clothes you will have a decent collection which can cover a store of (2000 feet / 600 Meters).. Yet there is plenty of other factors as well.. and there is seasonal items and clothes, etc...... Need any help, will be more than glad.. Actually we have now pallets of (100pcs- 500pcs each) at a decent prices, as we are wholesalers and stores.. and we need to rennovate our stock each campaign (2months)..so contact me if you are interested and will send you some photo s and site access,,.. or if you only have additional questions..Good luck, and have a great day ..Source(s):Ex. manager for a chain retail stores, for more than 5 years ..

Try ebay first then start your own website or retail store.

I started out doing the same thing and have a chain now. There were MANY headaches and times I wanted to quit (it aint easy), Since you will be doing your own graphics, and want white t-shirts sweatshirts I think I know where you are going with this (you can do book bags, backpacks, totes and other stuff as well). You can contact me I will tell you a good place to start for your whites (you do not have to buy in bulk, you can pick the brands, the shipping time is 3 days max so you do not have to order until an order is placed to you). I have no relations with them other then starting out there for some of my stuff, lol so sorry cant get you better prices). I have done every aspect of both online and brick mortar stores, so can answers most questions you would have.

Does anyone have any information on how I can set up a Van Hire Business? -

Hi,(a) I would like to set up a VAN HIRE business in my local area in England.(b) Essentially I am looking for ANY help or INFO from anyone who knows what steps I should take(c) Has anyone ever set-up a business before, where they can share some good tips(d) What should I be scared or cautious of(e) Should I consider a Business Partner or go it aloneIn the first instance, thank you for reading my questionAnd more importantly if you have ANY ADVICE, pleasescribble away, since everything useful is seriously appreciatedthank you sincerely ... in advance

Speak to your local Business Link. They provide free help and advice on starting in business. They also have industry specific information which could help you a lot.Think very carefully about taking on a business partner. If you feel there s more work than you can handle, take on someone on a part-time basis or bring someone in as a freelance who is skilled in the gaps in your expertise. Why do you want to set up a van hire business? Who else in your area does something similar? Why should people choose your service rather than theirs? Is there enough trade to support another van hire business? These are the sorts of questions that you need to answer to put together a plan for your business. Again, Business Link is very good on helping with the structure of your plan so that you cover everything. There also good on sources of finance, if you don t have enough to start with.Be prepared to work long hours to get your business off the ground. Think about what changes you ll have to make in your life to do so and consider who else will be affected by your new status. It can take over your whole life. I know this from personal experience!Good luck!

Can anyone help? I want to start my own little home-run business....? -

I make a lot of cards (occasion cards such as birthday, or christmas) and have been told by plenty of people that i should open my own business. I am only 17, and this seems like a daunting task... could anyone help me on how i should start out?

2 things, 1. Local market: Feel free to talk to a couple of business owners, preferably who have gift shops, flower shops, etc to find out if they think the market for your cards is in the area. They specialize in gifts and cards so ask the experts!!! You never know, they might buy some of your cards to distribute,2. Web market: Go to google keyword search tool and type in what you are trying to sell. I typed in birthday cards and it was searched for 368,000 times in november. So lets say that 1% of 368,000 people go to your site. That is 3,680 people that looked at your site in November. The normal statistics of people who will buy your product is 37 people. If you go to switchtarget.com, there is a program (The Tank Method) that teaches how to put up a website from beginning to end. The cost of the program is $10. First, make sure you watch the intro video to make sure this is something you are looking for. I hope that this helped and feel free to write back with any questions! my email is at bryan.vet80@yahoo.com.

sure. first, make sure your designs are unique and catchy. most likely if people have told you they are, you have something good. 1) handle the finances. decide how much you can put into the business in terms of money for: supplies, software, ink, printer, etc.2) come up with a catchy name you like.3) decide who is going to help you, if you need it.4) get a website where you can promote yourself. there are a lot of cheap options. you don t need anything super intricate at this point. just a cool website.5) start marketing. i d market at your school. see if you can put up flyers with your custom work at local high schools and colleges in your area. they all should have a bulletin board for advertising.marketing is most likely going to be the most time-consuming. just be sure to get yourself into all free marketing avenues you can find. i d even call up local public radio station in your area after you are set up and ask about coming on for an interview. (they also probably will want you to buy ad time, but you can get a lot of freebies if you agree to go in.)good luck! any other questions- ask me and i ll tell you what i know.

You always want to compare the risk vs the reward. Everyone gets so tied up with what they could do, they never stop think about what they should do.The pros: Very low overhead, no employees to pay. little money needed to start up.The cons: Saturated market you have to compete with some big names like Hallmark, there are tons of sites out there that are free, you have to sell a WHOLE LOT of cards to make any real money on a steady basis.Back to the risk vs the reward... I do not kill people cuz the risk is not worth the reward. I do break all kinds of traffic laws on a daily basis (like so many millions of others).Ok so what does this have to do with you? Well guess what else I do like millions of others? When I need a card do not want to think something up.... I go to your site, find the card I want/like, take a screen shot of it, paste it into any paint program print it out free of charge, I can also modify what you have so it better fits my occasion. Why in the world would I pay for it? Think people do not do this? How many songs movies are bootlegged each day online? Singers actors still get the perks of being famous tho, what do you get from it?

Working as a process executive in an international bank is a BPO job? -

BPO = usiness process outsourcing (BPO) is the act of giving a third-party the responsibility of running what would otherwise be an internal system or service. For instance, an insurance company might outsource their claims processing program or a bank might outsource their loan processing system. Other common examples of BPO are call centres and payroll outsourcing.Typically, companies that are looking at business process outsourcing are hoping to achieve cost savings by handing the work to a third-party that can take advantage of economies of scale by doing the same work for many companies. Or perhaps the cost savings can be achieved because labor costs are lower due to different costs of living in different countries. In exchange for the potential cost savings, the company in question must relinquish control over an aspect of their business which explains why business process outsourcing is often reserved for non-critical, non-core type of work.Hope this helped you: All the Best!.Jereth

Now, I am planning on getting a better job. I want to work at Macy s in herald square. How exactly do they judge me based on experience for young adults like myself? About paypal accounts? -

I really need help setting up a paypal account. It s just for a super small business.I am in a group selling t-shirts... not that many shirts out yet, but I wanted to make the website have a paypal payment method. We dont ship or anything, we like make a pickup location and all........anyways I was going to add a paypal account.I have a bank of hawaii debit card, which means that I have a banking account too correct? What kind of banking account is this? Savings or Checking??????Also, if I already have money in this account, can I still use it as my paypal account??? So if somebody buys a shirt, the money will get transferred in my account then correct? So I just go to paypal.com and sign up as BUSINESS and get my account verified, and is that all ??

I think you should give the option from a marketing standpoint. PayPal offers you the chance to offer shipping worldwide, and significantly increase the pool of clients available to you, so if you do add PayPal, it would be a good idea to offer shipping. Most importantly it offers the chance for the client to buy using a Credit Card. How do you fund your Debit Card? The account from which you fund it will be your savings (usually) account. Just in case you should probably check with your bank. For a business account you need to verify your PayPal account, which is really straight forward. They send you two transactions of under 5 or 10 cents (if memory serves me correctly) and you need to enter the reference number on your statement. Anyway, by the sounds of things you already know this step :)The flip-side to PayPal is that you get charged a fee. Have a look at the comparison between business and personal accounts, and compare the fees based on what volume you will be selling at. Just a suggestion, one way to counter this is to price in shipping and fees for PayPal, and then offer a discount for pickup equivalent to the fees.

Hi,Yep, that s about as easy as it gets. Go to paypal.com, sign up.You create your sales buttons and add them to your website in the Merchant Services section. When your account is established, (you ll need to tie it to a bank account), anda sale is made using paypal, they hold the money until you transfer it.You can even use your Paypal like a debit card, online shopping, etc.

Follow their sign up instructions, it s very easy. I had mine up and running and verified in 4 days (it was about 15 minutes of work, they take time checking the account then have you online and ready).

What is the best way to advertise your business on the web? -

I recently opened a small online business. I need to advertise so that I can get clients. I don t want to waste money on things that don t work.. so...What s the most effective way to advertise on the web and what s worked for you?

First good luck with your site.. There is many ways ... 1- Being here on answers.. you can go to your specialty category, and try to answer questions honestly (With subtle hints about your site and a link ??)2- emails.. go to the sites / blogs/ etc... which are about your subject of business.. know people from there.. and start making email ads.. you could send daily numerous emails to people whom you know interested in your products , etc...3- adding your site informaTION with business cards.. 4- Flyer s and business cards.. and you have to go to nearby colleges/ universities... etc... (And the near cities as well).. and pass them or hang them on the boards..5- Trying to contact other small business sites as well.. and make a deal with the owner of each site for swapping / putting each other site ads on each one site .. etc....And there is plenty more.. sure idea s .. yet you would have to pay me for consultation.. LOL.. Any help i will be more than glad.. Best wishes for you and your business.. have a great day ..

You can be active on forums related to your website or post comments to other post so other users will see your name and click on your profile. Post your website link to your profile so they can access it. It s one of the most effective things why people earn from selling pictures from flickr even if it doesn t cost much to buy photos. Check out this tutorial for that: http://websitecoaching.net/is-there-a-good-tutorial-to-making-an-ecommerce-website/

Use this company. They are HUGELY popular but also still pretty new, so their prices are still affordable, haha! I ve used them myself 3x they are super memorable catchy. Normal advertising might get you calls or clicks, but I ve found because of the memorable personal nature of the service they provide, actual dollars in sales are the result, not just calls or clicks. It s really cool because people remember it see it all over the web.Pretty girls (or guys) wear your website or company message on a t shirt all day, take photos of themselves blog about your company. Then they blast it on facebook, youtube, myspace, all of the social media sites, PLUS search engines over over all month.I ve used them myself 3x they are super memorable catchy. Normal advertising might get you calls or clicks, but I ve found because of the memorable personal nature of the service they provide, actual dollars in sales are the result, not just calls or clicks. It s really cool because people remember it see it all over the web. Enjoy!

The best way is word of mouth, now you can go about this by spamming which is never good so search forums related to your product, say your selling avon then message a womans health/beauty website owner and see if it would be ok to post your link to your website.make a myspace just for your company make a facebook a twitter profile ect. but most of all is word of mouth so advertise for free on forums and groups then bookmark it add your site to google search add alot of tags related to your product anything remotely close to relating...Good luck hope i helped

Any good ideas on how to make some money working from home,im skint so i have no start fund, ideas welcome? -

Ok, there ARE ways to earn money online despite what everyone says...BUT you re not going to get rich overnight and it will take some work. Here s a few ideas. All of these ideas are free to start, don t waste your money paying some scam sites.Write: You can write articles for sites like eHow or hubpages and they will pay you based on traffic and etc from your work. Most people will make between $50-500 bucks a month. Some high earners make close to two grand.Design products: If you re artistic you can open a zazzle store and sell t-shirts, bumper stickers, mouse pads and etc. It s free to do, all you have to do is submit designs. Zazzle will then put these designs on products. I run a store where I sell Avon, Mary Kay and Pampered chef shirts and things.Peoplestring: This is a cool new website that pays you to surf the web. If you go through their portals to check your email, facebook, play games and etc. they will pay you a percentage of the ad revenue they make. It s not going to make you rich, but to make a little change for stuff you re doing already anyway seems like a sweet deal to me. I ve really enjoyed using it. Hope all of this helps! I ve been working online for years now and have had great success. Good luck to you! If you really have a good work ethic and are determined, you can make cash online. :)

dont try those internet ones there are mostly scams, you could try delivering free papers for your local paper then there is the likes of kleeneze (which costs you money to start up) betterware which is free and avon but the trouble with those you need to make sales up to a certain amount before you get any commision it may not be the answer you want but i dont think there are proper work from home jobs like putting letters into envelopes anymore but hey good luck

if you come up with a business idea there are loads of finance options and grants available when i started my business i really did do it on a shoestring, i begged and borrowed the equipment i needed from family friends, i used as many free low cost ways i could find to promote my business then found a grant which i didn t need to repay to really get me rolling along nicely, then as i built the business up i was able to buy the bits i needed and take the business forward.business link have a brilliant grant finder, and other funding options may also be an option for you - see this for more information http://www.newbiztips.net/financeandfundbest of luck. Rebecca

Well, you can try earning some extra money online by doing online surveys or participate on Pay-To-Click programs. It will not earn you a lot of money but its free.

Is bigspot.com a good site for making money at home? -

No, just another scam.

The same way I do. Go to my website here:http://www.wix.com/lildamanted/earnmullababyCashcrate is a great website to earn money, especially if you gain referrals.I earn about 500 dollars a month from referrals(people that sigh up under you).If you don t believe me just copy and paste url and it will be all the proof u need if you want to learn how to make money .note: Im 16 years old making 500 a month from internet basically doing nothing, You can do the same if you sign up and get people to sign up under you. please give it a try. I ll even send you my own personal guide if you need it.

What can my friend do when a contractor did not do the job? -

my friend received a settlement from the government and she decide to upgrade her home after having made a choice from many she decide to go with a contractor she has receipts, canceled check, and a contract for the job to be done well the contractor did not show up he has done many jobs through the neighborhood and had references she gave him a large deposit to start but never showed up there is any thing that she can do beside getting him hurt because she is on a fixed income and can not afford a lawyer

Your friend should be able to file a lawsuit in small claims court as long as the amount in dispute is under 10,000 dollars. Small claims court is designed for people and situations where using a lawyer would be to expensive or not possible. Where I am from it is actually discourage by the court for either party to hire a lawyer. Your friend should go to the local court and ask for paperwork to file the claim. She will need to know the name and address (at a minimum) in order to get the paperwork served to the contractor. They will set a court date and the contractor has to show up or he loses and if he shows up and loses then the court should be able to give collection options to your friend. I believe she can even file the claim for more than the down payment for the cost of the hassle and paperwork, etc. So check that out. If the value is higher than 10 grand then your friend might want to talk to a lawyer about representing her and payment to be made out of recovered money. If your friend really does have a case and the lawyer sees that they will likely get paid from that I m sure it would work out.

Call the police and file and report for theft.

Do i need good grades to get a workers permit? -

do i need to have at least a c-

No you don t need it. But some employers like to see students report cards to make sure that work isn t interfering with school. And your parents could make you cut back on your hours if your grades start slipping.

yes, you need to be able to maintain your grades and pass all of your classes or your employer will cut the amount of hour you work.

NO. They ll give you one either way.

No, but it helps A LOT. for minors it s almost a must i m sure.

Questions to ask when offered an opportunity in a business? -

I received an email from an old classmate that is somewhat enticing. This is what he said: Hey there Imhotep, Hows things been? Its been a while so wanted to get in touch with ya-see what you had going on these days? Im working with a team of people expanding business right now and figured Id check in with you and see if you are looking for opportunity for extra income at this point in life? I would like to respond somewhat professionally and ask important questions, can you help me with some ideas?

First, I d find out what exactly they do. Then, get some details on what your role would be. The questions I d ask would focus on 2 areas. 1) has the business been successful 2) what is the work environment like. For #1 I d want to know why they want to hire you? Are people jumping ship or is business just picking up a lot? What client base do they have and what client base are they working on? These types of questions can help you get a feel for the type of job security you may or may not have and whether or not the people running the show have a good idea of what they are about. For #2 How many people work there and how do they get along? What would your work schedule be like? What sort of benefits do they offer? Try to find out if this is something you would be comfortable doing, and if they have what you are looking for on the personal side of things. After that, you ll need some time to digest things and maybe do some research on the business. So, just be open and say before you make your decision you d like some more information and you have lots of questions. Tell them ahead of time you d like the opportunity to work with them but you d also like a little time to make an informed decision.

Dear, I suggest u see http://ebiznus.com/ for this.I hope this will be resolving your problem you can also browse more for this on answers.yahoo.com but i think you better look at what i suggested instead of wasting ur time.Best of luck.

I would like to run an ad for computer repair to make extra money. Is it legal without a liscense? -

I m fifteen years old and I work in a kitchen at a club, obviously since school is back in session my hours have been cut, I really need the money, and I m very good with computers (both hardware and software). I would like to run an ad for computer repair to make some extra cash. My grandmother is concerned of the legality of this without a business license. If it is important I am a resident of Alabama.

Did your mother drop you on your head?

If you do this as a part time endeavor to make extra money, it is not considered a business. (Like babysitting) Do not repair any Computers at your house/home. Do not charge a fee but explain that you would appreciate donations. Most professionals are earning 25/75 hour in the Big City, but you can afford to help your clients for your states average hourly wage. (7-10 an hour) Start w/tutor help and web design if that s what you can do and or upgrades to computers.

Seeing as it isn t an actual business I don t believe you need one.*****, anyway

Is a B.A. in business needed to open a restaurant? -

I m currently enrolled and earning A.A.S. in Business Administration. My long term goal is to own/operate my own restaurant but I m not sure how much education I would need to make my goal a reality and a successful one at that. (I also have a associates degree in culinary arts)

Although a business degree isn t required to open a business, I would STRONGLY recommend that you either get a degree or take as many business related courses as possible. On average only about 10% of all small businesses survive the first year and the failure rate for restaurants is probably even higher. Do you think most fail because the owners weren t passionate about their restaurant or didn t treat their customers well? Of course not. Most fail because the owners did not understand the business side of the restaurant. Admittedly, there are some people who just instinctively understand business or learn fast enough to survive the first few years but not everybody can do that. Business classes may not be a perfect way to learn everything that you need but they are a concentrated dose of information. In addition to your normal classes, you should see if there are any other classes directed towards small business owners or starting your own business. Lastly, practical experience can be even more valuable than taking classes as long as it s good practical experience. Perhaps there is a well established restaurant that would not be a direct competitor that will be willing to hire you and let you get some experience of running a business. It would have to be a local restaurant and you d have to have a good relationship with the owner but the experience could prove to be invaluable. Good luck.

NO, you don t need any college degrees to open a restaurant. The basic ingredients for a successful business would be experience, skills, and etc.. but a college degree/education is not included in there, especially for a restaurant. I ve worked at a successful sushi place before and I know a little bit about how they are successful. They were/are busy most days of the week when other restaurants are closing down. The main thing is customer service. Good food itself just won t cut it. You don t need a degree, the owner of the sushi restaurant barely graduated middle school in Japan but he owns two houses and has enough already for retirement. The thing he was good at was being able to learn from experience. He knows people that come to his restaruants by name, and he frequently tests new menus that sometimes are a hit for the American taste. You could also be good with finances, but you don t always need to do that yourself, hire someone to do it. But always keep in mind, don t be wasteful with food.

That s like asking if you need a university degree to operate a blender. Anyone can open a restaurant, but the real question I think your asking is Will my education directly assist in making my restaurant endeavor successful? Obviously the more education you have DIRECTLY related to the industry the better. I have been to restaurants owned and operated by retired mechanics and I would give them a 5 out of 5. On the other hand, I have been to places where the owner had 6 other restaurants in his life, and the over all rank would be no more then 2.1 out of 5. So it always depends on your passion, perseverance, and personality! Good Luck!

most restaurant owners probably had no college education - any business background helps - especially concerning accounting and taxes (payroll, sales, gross receipts, income)

Truck Driving Career - What Does It Take to Start a Career Driving Trucks? -

Top on your list should be the ability to handle the lifestyle changes of a trucker. You re going to be on the road for weeks or months at a time, away from family. Most guys start young, around the age of 21, and tend to be single. You need to a CDL to drive interstate with sufficient experience at driving school.A first year driver makes up to $40k a year with an increase of $5-10k in the second year.

There are a lot of trucking companies out there that will train you. Do your homework and pick a good one. They will charge you for the training but you get it back if you make it.

How does eBaY Work????? -

Hey everyone i just need to know how ebay works. I know you need a credit card But once you find an item, what things should you consider?and how does it work? when you click buy now and you have already signed up etc what do you have to go through to make sure everything is correct and how would you know that the item has been successfully bought and that they will start shipping it in. I ve never bought anything from ebay so i wouldn t have a clue on how it works. so please if you provide all the information in a summary it would be really appreciated, thx.

First before you buy a product always look at the sellers history ratings. Make sure he/she has plenty of positives and very few negatives. You don t always need a credit card some sellers except check or money order but always check before hand. Sign up for an ebay account and a Paypal account. You can read sellers and buyers opinions/blogs on the best games, watches and everything else. If you decide to buy it now after you bought the item pay for it within 3 days the sooner the better. Click pay now under my Ebay and use your paypal account credit card/bank card to pay for your items. You address and phone number should be included in there (from when you signed up) but double check to make sure all the info is up to date. If you have any problems email the seller. Make sure to keep in contact and work out anything, that can happen. Most sellers will offer refunds or replacements. But always read the fine print on their pages.

wow, you are absolutely not updated today

What is the best place to get business cards printed up? -

I want to get some business cards printed up, but I don t want to get robbed paying for them. Is Staples a good place? Because I have a Staples near my house.

Reduced Printing can give you 500 free full color business cards on thick paper - all you pay for is the shipping

There are good deals online. I recently printed from 123print.com and they were just ok, i thought the printing looked a little streaky. But I had postcards printed from Vistaprint.com and they were excellent and they have good deals so I would recommend them! You can use one of their designs or upload your own.

Use a good local shop if you can. Don t skimp-these cards represent your business.

Vista print on lineI got my cards from there and I LOVE them! Cheap too!www.Vistaprint.com

Quick Books easy or hard to use? -

Need to get something on my computer to start keeping my books for our farm. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Hi - If you just need basic accounting features, Quickbooks Simple Start is the easiest of all the Quickbooks programs to use. If your business handles inventory, you re better off with Quickbooks Pro.I use Quickbooks Pro because my accountant suggested it. It s fairly easy for me to use, sometimes challenging. However, I am terrible at accounting - so it s probably easier for the average person. I think when you use it on a regular basis, you get the hang of it quickly. If you want more in-depth capabilities like accounts payable, being able to customize forms, create budget reports, track mileage, create packing slips, save forms in PDF format - or you need multi-user capacity (simultaneous use), go with Quickbooks Pro.More comparison information here:http://qbalance.com/QuickBooks_Pro_or_Qu

Quick Books is the easiest software plus alot of bookkeepers and accountants are familar with it. Try to get someone who knows Quick Books to set it up for you and show you the basics. Ask around to other business owners and farmers and you will find someone who knows Quick Books. If not, place an ad for someone to set up and train you on the software and ask them for an hourly rate and references. By the way I m an accountant. =)

How can I get a clothing warehouse for my website? Like what some ebay things have? Please help.? -

I want to know how I can find them and what they are, i want them to supply clothing and electronics. Maybe even two warehouses, please help.10 points

Try one of the following dhgate, trade tang, I currently use these sites myself for personal use and selling online. They don t charge a fee like some other companies, there is not minimum purchase required and they shipped directly to your customers which is great, that way you don t have to keep inventory and best of all you get to set your own profit margin. Best of luck with you and if you need any assistance please feel free to contact me via email.

Your best bet would be to contact wholesale exporters that are looking for sales outlets. Make a drop shipping arrangement with them and get the best catalogs and pricing with as much variety as possible. On Yahoo, there are several groups featuring such exporters. Make sure build a solid business model so that you aren t just another site though.

What system do you use to keep track of your business contacts? -

I would like a program where I can easily send clients e-mails, letters, form letters, take notes, keep history and other basic business requirements.

Mozilla Thunderbird provides the email and address book functionality. You can download Mozilla Thunderbird 2 free of charge from here:http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/doMozilla Lightning extension to Thunderbird has calendar and task management features. By installing this extension, you will have a full fledged Personal Information Manager (PIM). Lightning version 0.9 works with Thunderbird version 2 (it doesn t work with the new Thunderbird version 3).Once you have installed Thunderbird 2 successfully and configured it to work with your email server, you can download the Mozilla Lightning 0.9 add-on free of charge from here:https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderBoth these products are from Mozilla, the same company that provides the popular Firefox web browser.

Help starting a store in my town? -

I am trying to open a pet store in my town, but I m having trouble finding wholesale websites. Can anyone help me by directing me to a legit site? I have all the proper licenses, but every time I try to search online, everything is much more expensive than the prices I see when I go to stores! Much help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Ask the people who manage the stores. And look locally, people who own small farms in your area etc. Also if you re seeing the prices in large stores such as wal-mart or petsmart you re almost out of luck.Although I have heard of programs where the government lawfully has to cover the difference to keep you ably competitive with large enterpirses until you are able to sustain yourself.Look into that, because I know a large company was trying to take my friend s welding business out by lowering prices to where they were losing money because they could afford it and my friend took them to court.

Is it legal to cook things in your restaurant with store bought seasonings? -

Say I start a restaurant and my signature recipe is steak but my cooking method involves marinating it in something like a KC Masterpiece marinade. Is this legal or do you have to have the owners permission of that marinade?

You only need permission if you intend to use the name of the product in your advertising or to increase your sales of the product. If you call it a marinated steak you re fine, but if you say KC Masterpiece marinated steak or steak marinated in KC Masterpiece sauce you may want to make an inquiry about permission to the license holder of the KC brand.

if you can buy it in a store, it is legal to use

QUESTION about trademarking a name / infringement.....? -

If I were to name/trademark something but spelled out as if it were said in Japanese.. would that be infringement??for example cookie monster (ie: sesame street) ... spelled like kuki monsuta (.....not actual name in question but like i said just an example..)

I don t think it would be an infringement. Even a misspelt name (of English version) would be acceptable as long as you didn t provide the same goods and services as the original name. Even saying this, the Japanese converted name would still have no bearing on the original name so you could possibly get away with providing the same goods and services. One name I like is Macrosoftly. It refers to Visual Basic code rather than actual software or an operating system. I haven t registered it but the thought of it does inspire me somewhat.Business Name Registration will advise you if the name is not appropriate. You will possibly, but most unlikely, need to provide a different name if the name you have chosen has already been taken.

How do you market a toy design? -

I ve designed a neat interactive toy that has gained some attention and success on Etsy. I don t have the time to make lots of them, but I d be interested in refining the pattern and selling production rights to a toy company. How do I find a company and approach them?

Here are some book titles that are relevant:* Bringing Your Product to Market: Fast-Track Approaches to Cashing in on Your Great Idea, 2nd Edition by Don Debelak* Entrepreneur Magazine: Bringing Your Product to Market by Don Debelak* Product Idea to Product Success: A Complete Step-by-Step Guide to Making Money from Your Idea by Matthew Yubashttp://www.entrepreneur.com/article/0,46 C Entrepreneur s Marketing Tips for Launching a New ProductArticles:http://www.ezinearticles.com/?Small-Biz- C Small Biz Marketing Strategy: When to Launch a New Product by Otilia Otlacanhttp://ezinearticles.com/?The-Right-Way- C The Right Way to Launch a Product or Service, Apprentice Style by Jennifer McCayhttp://ezinearticles.com/?New-Product-La C New Product Launch Checklist by Bob CannonHope that helps! I wish you much success happiness in all your ventures!

Well, Yahoo or Google search toy manufacturing.Keep good records and date everything, Patent? Drawings, diagrams, ect. When dealing with large companies you probably want an patent attorney.Build a good potfolio, Art work and a good cover letter would work nicely to.Good Luck!!

Will quickbooks take money out of my bank account if i record an expense? -

Alright, i m running a little side business and I downloaded quickbooks free to keep everything straight. However, I gave them my bank account number and added an expense because I owe something out. They ve deducted it from my bank account balance on quickbooks and i m just curious as to if they could access my bank account and actually take the money out. thanks!

well yes they can but it cannot happen without you setting it up. log in to your bank account to see if there is a transaction there.

Generally no unless you are using thier bill pay system.Just entering your bank account information does not put this into effect. The check register on Quickbooks is supposed to mimic what is happening with your real life bank account. The theory is if you pay a bill, you enter it into quickbooks as well, then you always have a track record and can see your available balance.

If I have a business checking acct as a sole prop and I convert my business to an LLC, can I keep the acct #? -

Will the bank allow me to keep the same account number and just change the legal name of the business to the newly converted LLC? It will make it alot easier with suppliers and vendors that already have my account number for payments.

I think that you might be able to do that. But, instead of asking us, ask the bank. That really is the only place that you are going to get a real answer.Good luck.

All you have to do is present your LLC documentation and your employer identification number. The bank may want you to open a new account, though. For legal, tax and liability reasons, that s what I suggest you do.

I want to start a record label (Independent) and I need help with the right steps to take when starting it? -

I know about music, music law, recording, production etc, but its the legal side im concerned with. Taxes? Actually getting it started? Being 100% legit. any help?

Keep it simple. For taxes just keep all your receipts and give them to an account at the end of the year. For contracts just get a template from a music business book or Website to start.Your biggest obstacle to not being successful will be worrying about all the details and not getting down to the business of finding great bands, making and distributing marketable records. You can always go back and refine your contracts and bookeeping once you start. Read the book Ready Fire, Aim .

YES go get about a MILLION Dollars FROM investors GET a lawyer that knows the RIAA regulations and Pray for a LOT of LUCK in finding recording artist that will want to use YOUR studio !18 yrs as a disc jockey !

WANT A ONLINE DATA ENTRY JOB......? -

I NEED A ONLINE DATA ENTER JOB IN VELLOR...CAN ANY ONE HELP ME

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online.

Check following web-site. Appears to be genuine. I dont have any personal experience with it. But may be worth trying.http://www.onlinejobsjunction.com/index.

Do I need to form an LLC or similar to sell my music? -

I m interested in selling my music off iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, so forth, but I have no business experience whatsoever.Do I need to form an LLC or Ltd. for any reason and would there be tax incentives involved in doing so?Or should one keep it simple and just report any earnings on their taxes?

That really depends on a few different things. How much money do you think this will bring in? What do you think is your personal liablity with this business? An LLC can separate your personal and business assets and reduce your liability. It is a great asset protection tool. If you income is high enough, it can also give you significant tax benefits as well. You should seek proper counsel. If done incorrectly, it can cost you in the long run. I consult with clients daily on proper business structure. Let me know if you need assistance.

I can give you advice on many things but i am an expert on Business Telecommunications. I have been in business for over 10 years and i have seen plenty of business trends. The newest trend is in business telephones. Most new businesses are using Hosted VoIP PBX technology. My VoIP provider www.TheVoipCo.com for all types of features and capabilities as well as call center applications and remote workers. They do actually offer call center services (USA based). Do not confuse this technology with Vonage or Magicjack. They are terrible and do not offer the technology i am talking about. Give these guys a call you wont be sorry.Anyway, you should grow your business telephone sales team organically. Good Luck!

Whats an implication mean? -

I have to do some work, but i dont understand what implications means. so i have a few problems and i need to identify the implications of the problem. it says it looks at future potential problems that can occur if it isnt fixed. im looking for implications on the organization and the personnel. so lets say money is an implication. what does that mean?

You kind of have your answer in your question. potential problems that can occur if problem isn t fixed For example, the implications of a cracked foundation would be water gets in basement, rots walls, walls crumble, building falls down. Money is an implication of your success or failure if, you don t manage it well, ie overspend on stock and have none left for advertising, don t pay your staff enough to motivate them, or pay wages which are not balanced and cause a riff internally, that kind of thing. On the other hand, if you do manage your investment money well using a good business planning strategy then the implications are a successful business!

What does it take to sell avon? -

I just became intrested in selling avon products and I was wondering how the buisness works and how you get paid? I have a meeting on monday with one of the ladies through avon but I want to know something about it before hand. thank you so much

Hi, if you take payment from your customer before you give them their items then you will never get left paying anybody back. You should NEVER leave product with a customer unless you get payment from them first. AVON is what you put into it. The start up fee is only 10 dollars and their product is great quality. You get paid by collecting money from your customers. The amount you make depends on your sales although you do get 40% in your first 4 campaigns so for instance if you sell $200 worth a products and collect $200. You would pay AVON 120 and keep $80 for yourself. You have to buy your own brochures to give out but they are really cheap and they are your store. I really think it would be worth a shot. Good Luck!

It s fun but you have to market a lot. Hand out catalogs, leave them everywhere you go! Or drop your link all over the internet (like me!)

Hi Cassidy! I was actually going to try avon but I heard bad things about them. For example, if someone doesnt pay you back with a BIG order..then YOU have to be stuck paying it! I would totally hate that! Also, you have to buy your supplies like boooklets things like that! It seems like it would be quite difficult!I was lookng into a home based business like avon and I did happen to find something else ..if your interested...send me an email : nataliejazmin07@yahoo.comHope to hear from you soon :)

It takes hard work. Like trying to sell anything does.

What kind of business can i run entirely at home online? -

Wanting to gain some consistent income but want something credible and that could be full time off the bat NO real estate that stuff is scary.

The best type of business could be collecting and providing data or information from those who hold it, to those who want it. A bit like Expedia, but for recipes, or for classic car maintenance, or golf course playing tips for example. Then you have no stock to store, no money to outlay for purchases before receiving payment and all you do is hook people up.

Do a Freelancer job. They are free to register and do not require your credit card. Also they will send you a credit card to withdraw money from any ATM which support Master Cards. Start a hourly job in a freelancer job site and work 2-3 hours per day. It is easy and legit. You can do Graphic design jobs, Web design jobs if you have any experiences in that fields. If not data entry, virtual assistant, Administer support, data processing jobs will help you. For more info about other job opportunities such as reviewing websites, doing social networking, and legit site list.... http://work4mhomeonlinejobs.blogspot.com/

Does anybody own a cosmetics boutique and can give me some adive on buying products? -

I want to sell the designer brands like Chanel, Dior, Estee Lauder, Clinique etc but when buying my products fo I contact the brand directly?

Make a plan first ..Does your location, customers, and their financial ability can buy this brands ?? It will cost you much, and sell for much (With a fairy little profit margin), plus big retail stores sell them already at competing prices.. there will be no competition, my advice start on cheap less known brands, get lower prices for competition, attract more customers, then when you are experienced with the market .. go for the high brands.. and yet your location must be so sophisticated.. good luck and have a great day ...

Work from home scams? -

im really trying to work from home to better my family but every site looks like a scam. if it asks for money i turn away. I know a big percent of work at home jobs are scams but does anyone know of a real one? any one with real experience?

No, of course not. No one is willing to pay good money to have a survey filled out.You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies.

Look into Scentsy. Its does have a small start up fee but its only for the supplies you need for your business, and there is nothing else more to pay. My wife started with it to stay at home with our 3 kids and loves it. She made her start up fee plus more her first month. Scentsy is a wickless scented candle with over 80 different scents and warmers. People love it because its safe for their home and family. No flame no smoke, no soot. If you would like to know more contact me and I will get you the info you need to check it out more. Right now its only for people that live in the US or Canada. Good luck. it costs you nothing to look into it and check it out.

If you know correct work from home information you can make money. I use the method here this site and I . create very good income every months. It is very fast to make money. You can get my method that making me money here link below.

What is a good job for a middle schooler? -

I m in sixth grade, and I m running low on money. My parents never give me an allowance, even when I do work. I don t have certain jobs to do, so the only money I can count on getting is the $100 my grandparents give me for my birthday, and the loose change I find on the street. So, I need money. I m not old enough to babysit anyone other than my sister, and anyway, who wants to deal with stranger kids for hours and only for 20 or whatever? Not me. I was thinking about dog-walking, but I need a year-round job, and I don t know how many dogs are in my neighborhood. Also, I live in Texas, so no snow-shoveling jobs or crap like that. Anyway, the point is, I need money, and I don t know what to do to get it. So if anyone has any ideas, please help e! I ll answer your question if you have one, I promise! Thank you!!!

Well babysitting is definitely the best way to make money at your age, no matter how boring it may be. If you find the right person, you can make $80 in 3 hours (This happened to my sister once, she watched 4 kids for 3 hours on her birthday, no lie)Also dog walking is a year-round job, dogs need to be walked in june as well as december.Raking, mowing lawns, and yardwork is always a good wayNegotiating some type of allowance with your parents is probably the best, though. Just say you want to learn the value of money or something educational-sounding like that and it should work

HeyI lost my job about 6 months ago and with me having limited skills and cash I turned to the internet to try and make some money. Everyone says they re a scam and honestly I thought they were but dont believe it when people say they are ALL a scam. Its not true! I found one that does work and made me a good income all this time and I live pretty comfortably off what I make each month, better than at my old job anyway. I found maverick money makers and you can learn from these really detailed video tutorials how to earn money. The guy who does them goes into tons of detail so its really easy to follow, and not just one way either he teaches about 20 known ways that have worked for me its really cool. Check out the site below and you can see him taking you through some of the stuff he does. the joining fee is $97 and its guarenteed too, if you re totally rubbish and havent made the sort of money you want in 60 days you can have your money back :)Hope that helps you. Have fun, and good luck! :-D
