Hi - If you just need basic accounting features, Quickbooks Simple Start is the easiest of all the Quickbooks programs to use. If your business handles inventory, you re better off with Quickbooks Pro.I use Quickbooks Pro because my accountant suggested it. It s fairly easy for me to use, sometimes challenging. However, I am terrible at accounting - so it s probably easier for the average person. I think when you use it on a regular basis, you get the hang of it quickly. If you want more in-depth capabilities like accounts payable, being able to customize forms, create budget reports, track mileage, create packing slips, save forms in PDF format - or you need multi-user capacity (simultaneous use), go with Quickbooks Pro.More comparison information here:http://qbalance.com/QuickBooks_Pro_or_Qu
Quick Books is the easiest software plus alot of bookkeepers and accountants are familar with it. Try to get someone who knows Quick Books to set it up for you and show you the basics. Ask around to other business owners and farmers and you will find someone who knows Quick Books. If not, place an ad for someone to set up and train you on the software and ask them for an hourly rate and references. By the way I m an accountant. =)
