Selling this on eBay? Does it work? -

If I forged signatures on baseball and nascar-racing cards, do you think people would purchase them on eBay? I know someone through my work that is doing that but I haven t asked how much he gets for it.

Sure you can do that - BUT if someone gets the signatures validated that you forgedThe FBI will be knocking on your door for perpetrating fraudThe only thing you will get is about 15 years in prisonWithout you including a verified document of the signatures - what fool would bid on them ? ?It would be only a matter of (a time bomb) would explode in your face.

Stupid fraudulent idea!!Hope you get scammed on ebay then the shoe is on the other foot

Can an employer make you go to a new location just because you married a fellow employee? -

we both work at mcdonalds and have just recently gotten married. we are both good workers and we work well with eacthother. now all of a sudden our employer wants one of us to transfer to a new location. she says that we will see eachother too much and that wont be good for our marriage. thats not true because i am also a full time student and we rarely have the same shifts anyway. the only time we see eachother is at night. our personal lives do not effect our work, no one even knew we were even together. we have worked together at other jobs before and we have always got along great, we have never had a complaint. our current employer even says we have done nothing wrong. the other location is alot farther away from our apartment, we have to walk everywhere and walking nearly 23 blocks at 2am is not safe at all, plus winter is coming. i found it odd that my employer and i had just worked out my availability on the weekends to where we could both agree and then an hour later she calls me back telling me about the new location change. can she do this? we were not married at the time of employment and we got married about a week ago. my employer has known about this for two weeks and now out of the blue its an issue.

Doesn t McDonald s have a thing where you can write to the corporation if you don t like something going on in your store? Perhaps try that. I worked at McDonald s while I was in college, too. And we had a lot of couples and people related to each other who worked their. The only thing I can say is check the papers you signed when you started there and ask to see their policy handbook. If it s not written somewhere I don t think they can just make you move. Tell your employer that the new location is just too far away.

You will want to read your employment agreement, but typically that is common practice.

How do I get a greeting card business started? -

The first thing you need to do is pay for a copyright of all your designs from the Library of Congress, after you obtain that, you need to send 12 samples of your work to the top card companies; Hallmark, American Greetings and don t forget the smaller company within Hallmark, Shoebox Greetings. Might be better for you to get started with a known company until you have a following, then you can start your own private company. You can also send copies of your designs to yourself via certified mail from the post office, that s called a poor man s copyright and put it in a safe place and most important, do NOT open it, that way, if anyone should try to copy your designs, you have your original proof.http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8

What rights do I have if I own 20% of a business? -

My business partner has said he could sack me if he wanted as he owned 80% of the business, is this right?

Depends what sort of business, and what your role is.If it is a Ltd company, the an 80% share would be enough to give your friend complete control of the business. He could remove you as a director (or appoint other directore to out-vote you) and remove you as an employee (if you are one). But you would still own the 20% and he cannot force you to sell that. So you would be entitled to your share of the profits, assuming a dividend is paid.If the business is a partnership then the only way to sack you would be for your partner to bring the business to an end. He would have no choice but to pay you for your share of its current value. In both cases the exact position could be affected by the written rules (Articles for a Ltd Co or Partnership Agreement) of your particular business.

Assuming he owns 80% and you 20% he can sack you as long as he conformed to the lunatic/long drawn out Government employment regulations - but he has to buy out your share! Problem is what is the value of the company? If you having hard times the Company could actually be worthless/minimal value! However he can do what he likes otherwise as he has the majority shareholding.

He can t sack you, he would have to buy you out.

How do I determine which inventory to record for sales returns according to LIFO and FIFO? -

For example,Dec 31 ending inventory 160 at $20Jan 2 purchase 100 at $22Jan 6 sale 180 at $40Jan 9 sale return 10 at $40For LIFO, after the sale there is 80 units at $20 left. For FIFO, after the sale there is 80 units at $22 left. For the sale return, which inventory is returned for FIFO? For LIFO? Is 10 units at $20 returned or 10 units at $22 returned?

Do the stuff actually have a shelf-life? Most will do FIFO because that s how inventory is actually moved.

Should I move to Dallas or Houston owning a Flatbed? -

My husband and I own a small Trucking company in RI. Owner Operator of a Flatbed. With today s economy - it has become impossible to stay in this field in the area that we are in curently. By searching the web and talking to other drivers in the field, looks like TX is a better place for a Trucking Industry.I would like to find out which city of TX would be a better choice for Flatbed Trucker?Houston, or Dallas?

I also pulled a flatbed for a while. It seemed to me Dallas was the best place to find loads in TX.If you would rather be more south like the Houston area, there are alot of loads coming out of Baytown,TX which is just east of Houston. I believe Dallas is a better area for flatbeds.

How much would I make if I started my own buisness? -

For the future I m planning to start my own buisness. I m only 15 years old but my dream is to have my own store or company. I m wondering how much would I make if I were to own my own ice cream shop? I ve always dreamt of having a nice house and car. I don t want my education to go to waste. Is it a lot of money? Please give me some ideas that make good money. Thanks in advance. Please help me I m really desperate. =\

Starting a business costs loads of money (like millions at least). A cheap ice cream store still needs an investment of thousands of dollars for the rent. But hey, my family were modest immigrants that now own their own dry-cleaner chain-stores and they re pretty wealthy (millionares with BMW s and stuff). Granted, they work in Philadelphia where there s loads of business...I think other people make more modest incomes. General Stores in small towns can barely make the budget, you don t want to be like this.Your best bet is to become an intern when you get to college and work for a company that specializes in what you like. Show you the ropes some (also looks good in your resume). You could start now with volunteer work.

If you want to earn money and not put a big investment, I suggest that you help in marketing a domains company . This will only require an internet connection and a little investment. If you think you are too young for this, you can share this to your parents, friends or relatives.
