Is forming an LLC the way to go in Arizona? Why? -

forming an llc is the way to go in any state. here is a list of reasons why to form an LLC.1. You only have to submit an Articles of Organization to Arizona s Secretary of State.2. An LLC offers you, the owner, liability protection. (something a sole proprietorship DOES NOT)3, Your LLC can chose how you want your income to be taxed. This depends on the type of LLC you form. If you form a Single-member LLC where you are the sole owner of the company than your income will be taxed as an extension of your personal income is taxed. If you form a Multi-member LLC, you and a group of others (shareholders, investors, ect) than you may chose to be taxed the same way a single-member LLC is, taxed as a corporation is (double taxation - the company s profit is taxed AND the shareholders/owners personal earnings are also taxed)

FUNDRAISER ideas pretty please!!!? -

Hey there everyone, I need to raise about $550 for a trip to Cali with my class and my parents can t help me out, so I was thinking fundraiser! (= but first I need ideas. I might have to go door to door with some friends, what could we sell? Do you know anyone who could help sponser us? This needs to be done by Jan 15 2010Please and thank you-Katy

Be sure to let all of your relatives know that you would prefer cash as Christmas gift to pay for your trip. I also know of a company that will help either individuals or organizations sell their products as a fundraiser. You can take orders from friends, neighbors and family. I ve included a link in case you d like more information.

Try giftwrapping, it s a great one to do this time of year! Go to a local retailer or mall and ask if you can set up a table to giftwrap customers purchases in exchange for donations. Retailers usually love to be able to offer the service.Good luck! For 99 more unique fundraising ideas, see : http://cityeventscalendar.org/99-fundrai

No one will sponsor you since the monies raised are for personal use. Only a registered nonprofit may solicit donations. You will have to earn the money. Hold car washes, mow lawns, babysit, clean house and what ever other chores you can think of.

Bake sales lots of them sell chocolate pick something out and go online and search for it then call the owners of the company and see if you can sell it for them and get part or the profits!!!!

How do I set up a LLC with multiple DBAs underneath? -

Is it possible to roll all the taxes under the llc?

Sure. You can have a single LLC operate under a number of different trade names. Just set up the LLC. Then you have to create the DBA s. That process varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but it usually involves some sort of filing, registration and publication saying something like Bongo LLC is hereby operating under the fictitious name Oogabooga. You can do this for any number of fictitious names. You also might want to create registered trademarks or service marks. That is a bit more complicated. In the US, it involves filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office, a fairly frustrating process.Since you are operating under a single LLC, that entity will be the only tax-filing entity.

How to get into a franchise? -

To open a business I would like to invest into a franchise, but I am not sure how to find out what franchise would work well in the area, and also do they really expect you to have that much cash? The reason you open a business is to make money.

You say The reason you open a business is to make money . Not to sound rude or anything but that s not the way it works. I can t tell you too much about a franchise but I can tell you that you have to have-Good CreditA good incomeLiquid assets(Some franchises require above $100K. Most require more)You have to know the business. IF you meet the above requirements, there are people over the franchise department that will evaluate you before letting you open the franchise. And there are more requirements than this. You say- The reason you open a business is to make money . Again, if you were to just lease an office or something, the leasing agent will want to see proof that you can afford the amount of the lease with what you already bring in.So if your lease is $3,000 per month, you have to be able to afford that NOT including what you make from the place you re wanting to lease.

Here are 5 key questions I would ask before getting involved in a franchise operation.1. What s my upfront cost going to be? This is the most obvious initial financial question. But immediate out-of-pocket costs are only one consideration in franchising. 2. What other fees should I plan on? You may be required to lease property or equipment from the franchisor. You may also have to pay the franchisor a percentage of your annual sales. Those numbers must be cranked into your own equations when you re trying to figure out if a franchise deal makes sense.3. How is the franchisor making money? Franchisors may make money by owning their own establishments, by providing services to franchisors, by simply collecting initial franchise fees from people like you or by some other combination. It s tough to make a blanket statement about whether one model is better than another, but surely you want to know where the franchisor s own interests lie.4. What restrictions do I have on suppliers? Are you going to be required to purchase certain goods or services from particular vendors and/or from the franchisor? If certain purchases are required, are they going to cost you more than you would otherwise have to pay if there were no restriction on where you could buy them?5. What kind of regional protection am I getting? Do you have any guarantees that the franchisor isn t going to sell other franchises or open up its own outlets in your geographic area? If so, how long are those guarantees good for?

With literally thousands of franchises in business today, you can quickly become mentally exhausted when researching which opportunity is the best. There is no best franchise out there that all franchise seekers should sign on for. Do you honestly believe that there is this line of people a mile long outside of Mcdonalds franchise development office? Of course not. How come? The answer is rather obvious. What is best for you may not be best for me. Maybe you love the idea of managing 10 or 20 employees and would thoroughly enjoy the pride and prestige of franchising for the worlds best known fast food brand. Someone else may have just been laid off after 20 years of service for a computer software company and now wants to pursue his dream of a franchise opportunity that is home based and requires zero employees. You see, it all depends on your unique values and interests. The product or service you offer should be secondary to the type of lifestyle your business will allow you and your specific role as a franchisee. That being said, however, there are several essential features to look for when evaluating any franchise business. Here are the top six:1. Stable industry. You need to be marketing something that will be profitable no matter the economy. One example is a disaster restoration franchise in which the franchisee organizes the clean-up process for businesses when fires or water damage occurs. As the franchisee, you are assured immediate payment by the insurance company to clean up the water damage or rebuild after a fire and those repairs need to happen immediately.2. A necessary, recession-resistant product or service. Choose something that consumers either dont have time to do/make or despise doing and, thus, would rather pay someone else for. Stay away from fads, as they are unpredictable and dont provide longevity.3. Market potential versus the competition. Its wise to choose a franchise that has little or no competition from other similar, established franchises. You wouldnt (and shouldnt) locate a Quiznos franchise within a block of two Subways that have been there for two years and are always crazy busy. Ideally, pick a franchise where your main competition comes from small mom and pop stores, which allow you to dominate and thrive. 4. The leader in its category. A major contributor to your potential success a franchisee is teaming with a franchise in which they are the undisputed leader.5. A dominant brand. Brand recognition is huge. Aamco = transmissions. Fantastic Sams = hair care. This is a major reason to franchise in the first place. 6. Growth Opportunities. Look for a franchise that encourages you to buy a 3-pack or a 5-pack. Or one that markets the rights to become an area developer or a master franchisee. These are strong indicators that the franchise is thriving and planning to expand and grow the business. There are plenty of franchise businesses out there that provide the above key components. The tricky job is identifying and finding them. Thats where an experienced franchise consultant with a vast inventory of various opportunities can be a valuable resource to you. I encourage you to call me for a free franchise discussion and together we can identify the best options for you and your situation.

there are innumerable franchise companies in the US(assuming this is where you are located) and all you need do is contact them to see what you need to dosometimes a local franchisee is selling his interest, you can sometimes buy one that wayI have a client interested in a local 7/11 which would be $200,000 to buy however it is not a really good locationfranchisers usually instruct you in their business, they want you to succeed too, and they charge you a fee each month on your sales, sometimes, depends on what the product is, all your purchases will be through themyou need to decide what franchise you are interested in and see how many in your area before you go too far

It takes work and money to open a franchise. Then you have to operate the business like they tell you.If you should make any money that s good. They make theirmoney no matter what.

Starting a livery/car/taxi service? -

My mother is looking to start a taxi service here in New York. She s not going to be driving, she ll hire someone to work at the base, where the calls come in and have the person route the calls to different licensed livery drivers. The drivers will pay a weekly fee to gain access to calls. There are a bunch of these services in NY, but she needs to know what requirements need to be met, what licenses are necessary etc. She already has a business license for a beauty salon she s in the process of opening and the capital to invest etc., and 24+ people she knows she can hire right off the bat. Thanks for any input/insight/advice!

I worked my way through school as a cabby - I like the idea. My suggestion would be to contact the chamber of commerce - they generally have a business development counselor that offers free assistance. If you want a faster service than pick a small business development consulting firm to do the research - shouldn t cost more that $700 to have a step-by-step playbook drawn up

MY OWN BUSINESS.....? -

UGH IS ANYBODY ELSE TIRED OF WORKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE...I WANT TO HAVE MY OWN BUSINESS BOTH ME AND MY HUSBAND WORK IN CONSTRUCTION I M AN ESTIMATOR AND HE S A CARPENTER. THE PROBLEM IS START UP I M LOOKING INTO ANYTHING FROM HAIR AND NAILS TO GET SOME CASH I M ALL FOR STARTING FROM THE BOTTOM AND WORKING MY WAY UP IN THE BUSINESS WORLD...ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHERE AND HOW TO START?

yes, you go to the library and ask the librarian to suggest a few books you can check out and read to assist you and your husband in starting up a small family company. you aren t going to learn from what people say you learn from studying what is done, how it gets done and how to go about it, in order.

Here are three companies that I have referred my clients and actually used myself. You only have to pay a fee if you get funded.http://www.borregospringsbank.com/sba_express.asphttp://www.superiorfg.com/main/Default2.aspxhttp://www.innovativebank.com/site/soho.html
