Cheapest way to set up an online shop? -

i want to set up a small online shop and want to know how to begin and how much it will cost

In the UK...................Step 1) If it s a new business you re wanting to start from scratch, get in touch with your local business advisor to help put together a business plan. You ll find their details at http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/You ll also need to set-up a business bank account for it from one of the usual suspects...http://www.bankofscotlandbusiness.co.ukhttp://www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/businesshttp://www.natwest.com/business.ashxAlso you ll have to register with HMRC (the Tax man) within 6months of setting it up, or you ll be in deep trouble. http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/selfemployed/Step 2) Once you ve got that sorted (or you already have an existing bricks mortar shop you want to get trading online with too), have a look at this online guide: http://www.getashopwebsite.co.uk/You ve basically got 2 options:1) Get a eCommerce package from 4.99 a month (turnkey eShop, first 3months free, 60day money back guarantee): http://order.1and1.co.uk/xml/order/Eshop2) Start selling on eBay.... which is probably the best way until you ve got your business in full swing, and it s worth bothering going to the full expense of an eCommerce package + domain names, etc. http://www.getashopwebsite.co.uk/html/au Ebay shops start from 14.99 a month, but probably not worth bothering with and sticking to selling via regular auctions/classifieds until you ve got a regular income coming in via that method.

Hi read this article:http://www.theproductdeveloper.com/free-articles/45-free-articles/170-the-easiest-and-quickest-way-to-build-a-professional-looking-website-webpage-without-needing-any-technical-or-coding-experience-(copy and paste into your browser)It shows... you can get set up for about 10 bucks with an online store! Also if you do what the article says - you ll find one of the free software you can install is http://www.oscommerce.com They re an opensource (free) shopping software for building online stores. Best of luck!

I will give you the cheap option and hopefully other people can contribute to other options.Create your website, which can even be a Free Website and put Paypal on it. (I have websites which accept payments on line and used paypal). It takes any card. How to do it. Read link below.Paypal has various buttons you can put on your website e.g buy now , donation , subscription . Follow instructions on link below once you ve got your website and instead of selecting Donation button, Select Buy Button bcos you want people to buy from you.The Website can also be linked to Google Adsense, so that when people visit it and click on google ads on your site, you get payment from Google.Best wishes

We ve used Easyspace for years for our domain names and hosting. We write our own websites and have used Roman Cart for our shop, which links to Paypal. Paypal is then linked to our business bank account so that transferring money is simple. Easyspace costs about 30 a year for each service, Roman Cart about 99 and Paypal only charges you when you start making sales.Recently, I ve been looking at using Paypal s shopping cart, which is free, rather than pay for a shopping cart. It looks as if it will work just as well as Romancart. If you ask someone else to build you an e-commerce website you can expect to pay about 1200 - 1500 for a simple site. The important thing when you write your own site is to make sure you have keywords that will attract people to your site. Think about what your prospective customers will be searching for, what they type into Google and make sure you have those keywords in your site.Good luck!

well first of all you need a website try one.com they have templates to use or have blank pages for you to create your own if your clever you can purchase your domain (web address) from them as well, then there is the hardest bit of all advertising, registering, you can get your web site on google cost wise well see one.com for prices you need say paypal for smooth payment transactions and a seperate email for the shop both are free but advertising can be the costly bit any way good luck

www.weebly.com easy insta-site that looks good and allows you to set up products ( your own) and plugs into the paypal payment system.www.shopster.com very good all in one service...plus you have access to an already existing warehouse of products to choose from. (tip: ...focus on one niche area...don t try to be a minimega store and sell everything...you will fail, there are already too many big name companies that can beat your pricing. .... specialize ..thats how to make it successfulI have used both, and they work.
