They don t tell you you are banned permanently, but you effectively are because every time you try to open an account, and verify it using a telephone number or debit/credit card, they tell you it s invalid or has been used on too many accounts (while still retaining the details on file and not allowing them to be deleted afterwards)

your not effectively banned just because they do this, its basically to stop you having 2 accounts which you could use one against the other to knock your own bids up on items your selling. just use a mobile number and get a hotmail email add and your ok

It s always good to sell on eBay if the items aren t really heavy so the shipping costs will kill the sale unless it s very rare items and also craigs list is a very good place to sell you re goodies as well to the locals as well and if you check around I m sure you can find a place to even set up you re stuff at flea markets or other sales around the community, As for the price on eBay, if you auction the goodies start the bid at a very low figure$.99 that way the cost of the add will be cheaper

Ebay is a huge scam. Be careful, as after you start to accumulate money in your paypal account, which is the only payment accepted by ebay, they will limit your account until you provide them with a rediculous amount of information including your social security number. They just stole $1000 from me Report Abuse

It depends on what your old stuff is. Unfortunately, if it s heavy or bulky old stuff the shipping costs will potentially eliminate any savings your buyer may have - unless it s extremely valuable. Research a comparable item and determine whether it would be worth your while to sell or donate it to charity and take a tax deduction. Don t forget you need to take pictures, write a description, list it, set-up a PayPal account, monitor the sale, pack it and take it to the post office.

I would say give it a go. I have sold little things now and again on ebay and am surprised they sold and it was nice with a bit of extra cash with hardly any hassle at all. Just make sure you plan everything beforehand, have the packaging ready and stuff. You can place your item as a bid or as buy it now, in both cases you can have a reserved price so you don t have to sell it for any less than you want. I have sold second hand shoes, books, bags etc not in the best condition. What s great about ebay is there will always be someone who is looking for that thing you are selling. Search for your item or similar items and look for the selling price by other sellers and match that price or go lower. A lot of people make a couple of pound profit on the p p costs. I think the most important thing is a good photograph. Good luck.

Have you tried craigslist? I sell a lot of stuff on there and it s free. It s local too so you get cash money and don t have to mail anything. I have found that e-bay works better for higher priced items, or one of a kind things, but is more hastle.

i sold my stuff but i think ebay take 10% of what you sell, i sold some things and got a ��6 charge....if they aren t too dear don t sell them just bin them or give them to a charity shop

Depends entirely upon just what your old stuff is and what condition it is. Postage cost can be a deciding factor.

List it. It costs you nothing and people will buy anything.
