What does it take to sell on eBay? -

I have some things that I don t need anymore, and I d like to sell them. Does anyone have any good tips and/or tricks for making things sell faster and/or for a higher price on eBay?

Start here:Tips for successful sellinghttp://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/seller-tPersonally, there are a few things I would throw in from my experience selling on eBay. A good description is key, Spell out all details like the condition of the item, whether you accept refunds, the more details, the better. Also good photos help.I m a member of a Yahoo group that is for eBay sellers. You can get great advice tips from there. Join at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/eBay-Make sure you answer any questions you receive, no matter how silly they sound. Always be polite! There are a million things I could suggest. Look at my other answers, I answer a lot of eBay-related questions.Good luck!

You can create you own ebay store. See this site here for details. You ll definetly be able to sell your products with this. http://ihid.us?i=alvk. It s free! Check it out!

decent communication skills. make your product sound more interesting than it actually is.

Please suggest me the best online stationery store site. I want to buy office equipment for my new office? -

Since no-one else has answered, I suggest Staples .. if you need dozens of chairs / tables etc. they won t be much good -- they cater for the 1 off (SOHO) market, and won t give Qty discounts for 100 off :-) ... but at least there s free delivery ..

I suggest you to buy stationery online. At present I use Stationery Direct to buy stationery online. They offer stationery at discounted rates and they have all the types of stationeries. I feel they are the best online stationery shop with the kind of quick service they provide.

I need quot;freequot; small business software to keep up with tracking sales,purchases,etc....? -

My small business that I started this year hs sold about $20,000 and currently I only have my sales/costs/expenses on an Excel spreadsheet and need an actual way to input and keep up with sales/purchases/freight/taxes/expenses,e anybody have any ideas?

GnuCash is one I really like.

Good suggestions from the other posters. Take a look at GnuCash, if you want a personal accounting software that can support a single user running a business that is not incorporated. However, if you are planning to incorporate or may need more people to use this software in the future, look at TurboCash for accounting. It can be upgraded to a multi-user version suitable for up to 5 users.PostBooks and SQL-Ledger are Business Suites (also known as ERP) that have additional features to handle operations of a business, in addition to accounting. The downside is that these Business Suites are high maintenance. My recommendation would be osFinancials. This is also free and open source software:1. osFinancials has accounting, inventory control and Point of Sale (POS) integrated.2. You can start with the osFinancials single user embedded version, which is low maintenance.3. As the business grows you can upgrade to multi-user or add plug-ins for contact management (CRM) or eCommerce. So, if you are selling on the internet now, or are planning to do so in the future, this will make it easier. You can see a list of companies using osFinancials here:http://www.osfinancials.org/mediawiki/inInstallation and User Guides (in Dutch and English) are available here:http://www.osfinancials.org/mediawiki/inThe discussion forum (in Dutch and English) is here:http://www.osfinancials.org/index.php?op

There s a few different software suites that are free that will do exactly what you want. Your best bet is probably to search for: open source alternative for quick books, in your favorite search engine. I ve tried a few of them and for a small / medium sized business they all worked just fine.My personal favorite one was http://postbooks.org/ they have a really strong community base and are still actively developing and adding to it.Others I ve used and had success with are:http://www.turbocashuk.com/index.html - turbocashhttp://www.sql-ledger.org/ - sql ledgerhttp://www.appgen.com/aptus/my_books_pro - my bookshttp://moneydance.com/ - money dancegood luck.
