Do i need a tax id number just to sell items at a flea market. I am trying to buy from wholesale sites.? -

some wholesale sites are asking for id number?

an EID (employer Identification Number) is not necessarily required. If you are a sole proprietor you should be able to use your social security number. You will need to get a state sales tax certificate in order to pay your taxes and to qualify to buy wholesale tax free. You may also need a business license depending on the state and local.

Any site that claims to be a wholesale site and doesn t ask you for a tax id is a FAKE stay away from them they are middleman.

Yes you need a retail sales tax number. Wholesalers cannot sell to you without it.

How does a process via an Ebay Agent work? -

I am a craigslist shopper. i am now buying a bike via craigslist and the seller is telling me that she will send the bike to me and i will give money to an ebay agent and the agent will hold the money until i recieve the bike. Is this ebay agent safe? reliable? please tell me in more detail on how it works.

SCAM!!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!!Craigslist does not have eBay agents; they re two different companies and sell in two different manners. Craigslist sells locally and eBay sells worldwide.Read every word of what Craigslist says on how to SAFELY conduct transactions.http://www.craigslist.org/about/scamsThe only way to use Craigslist is cash and carry. The seller gets CASH and after the buyer sees the item, they CARRY it off.

This is a scam.STOP all communications with this thief. There is NO SUCH THING as an eBay agent.

I am scared to open my own business? -

What should I do. I like my job its ok I am in sales car sales. Has anyone ever been in my situation where you know you can start you own business but is kinda of scared to do it. What did you guys do. Let me I need help.

Everyone has that initial nervousness when starting a business. You always have that fear of will my business succeed or tank? Opening a new business is risky, but at times the reward is worth the risk. The key to making the venture as less of a risk as possible is doing research on what you want to do. The more research, the more knowledge you have. And, as they all say, knowledge is power. Best of luck.

I want to start my own business too, it would be real easy for me I just keep ,making up excuses. I think it s because I m afraid of the NEW responsibility it s a little over whelming. I m going to hire someone to help me get it started maybe that s what you should do.

Hi Mike,Yep, been there, more than once. And Kemper is absolutely right. Research and planning are the keys.In order to plan effectively, you must conduct some research. Fear is usually overcome when you have enough information to make good decisions. What do you need to provide your services? Who will you provide them to? Who are you competing against? What makes you better; gives you an edge ? How are you going to reach your prospects/potential clients? Answering these kinds of questions gives you a basis to begin a business plan. You can download my free research outline at www.abusinessmentor.comIt should certainly guide you in the right direction.Good Luck!

have you done extensive research? read a few books on small biz andinterviewed your competition, etc?written a biz plan?

Yes, its like you came to the right place for business acumen What kind of business would you be liking to start?

Can I sell my client list if I am relocating my business, but not closing my doors? -

I am a licensed massage therapist and I have relocated my business 30 miles from my prior location. I was considering selling my client list, but I can only find information regarding selling a client list if I am going out of business entirely, not just relocating. Also, I cannot guarantee the current accuracy of some of the names and addresses. I cannot guarantee that the new therapist will even get any business from my lists. Could they take legal action if they feel that they didn t get their money s worth?

Well for that you should see http://biznuss.neti hope that resolve your problem keep using answers.yahoo.com

your clients may not want their names given to a stranger - you should check with everyone of then and tell them you are relocating and would they object to you selling their name to another therapist - YOU are the product and without YOU, there really is nothing to sell in your type of business - the customers like YOU giving them the treatments - you just can t expect them to automatically go to whoever you sell the list to without them knowing that personif you sold the list or $x per name and the buyer was only able to get 25% of those people as clients, I m sure they would want a refund of the other 75% they spentif you know another MT that you are comfortable with, maybe you could make an arrangement with them to recommend your clients to them and IF any become new clients, the new MT would pay you a referral fee (you two have to agree on an amount) - that way they are not out any money up front and if they wind up adding any of your old clients - you both win

you can find it in tools on this website http://infobusiness2.notlong.com/1AAs5Gi

Can you make a decent income by opening your own movie theater? -

I am hoping to open up my own movie theater one day and I want to know can you make a decent income? i know that movie theaters get most of their profits from the concession stands and advertisements, but does the money adds up. However, you do have to pay for the utilities, your employees, and the movie studios to show their movies, but can you still make a lot of money?

Yes, but it s an extremely competitive environment. It is very expensive to get started as there is huge startup overhead. If I were to recommend a business model for a theater, I think that this is the only one I could suggest for a single theater - http://www.drafthouse.com/ .These guys have an amazing service. Tickets are cheaper than normal theaters, and they have full restaurant capabilities. One of the most innovative and successful models I ve seen. If you are in Texas, I highly recommend going to one of these theaters just to see what a movie theater should be.
