Hello. I am beginning a small business. I would like to trademark the name. And I have an idea that I would like to patent, as well. How do you get a patent on an idea/design and trademark a name without paying $100 s of dollars? I am a college student and any help would be appreciated!! Thank you!

That keeps others from copying it. And, you can file a provisional patent application that protects your idea for one year with the U.S. Patent Office. If there is a college near you with an astronomy department, call them to see if they have a used telescope you can buy cheaply or they will donate to you. They might also have some used lab equipment that you can have. Telescopes are very expensive and it would take a long time for someone your age to earn enough to pay for a new one. You might be able to afford a used one.Try to find an astronomy club you can join and use their telescope for free. Good luck!

Try direct advertising. They have free trials when you can send a thousand emails for free to random people. Then try free classified ads. Also craiglist is a good one.
