I have a major interest in opening my own clothing store? -

What are the basics that are necessary to know about opening a store. And selling the clothes. Oh, and how can I avoid the store closing down.I m still young so can you tell me what majors and minors I should take in college?

I did it now have a small chain. The #1 thing is going to be money. There is really nothing you will learn in school to help you. Some classes on sales, marketing, and taxes, computers (for your own website) will make it a lot easier tho,When the day comes that you actually want to do it, let me know I will give you the step by steps version.

money is key! you have to have constant look over it. if your income becomes less every month then you need to think of a new way to get people back into your store. you got to work your hardest at selling whatever merchandise you have. a buisness, accounting, or managment degree would help with this job. (mainly management and buisness) sorry for being brutal lol. good luck

it is not easy to open a clothing store.so please carefully.i know a website who sales clothing, maybe you can have a look. www.fashionsaler.com

If I had a clearance over 20years ago is it easy er to get some type of clearance today? How do i know what I h? -

I held some kind of clearance working with encrypted radio equipment. I would like to get a job with a clearance. I know I would have to get a sponsor. I would like to know what type of clearance I held on the past. How do I find out? Any other advice. Thanks, Bob

not if you have been a criminal or terrorist for the last 20 yrs - you would still have to go thru an extensive background check even more detailed since you now have 20 more years of history for them to check outwouldn t you need a government job offered to you first where they would be doing that background check as part of the hiring process??

Legally, as a small business owner, can you fire someone for stealing if you didnt catch them yourself but..? -

The same manager has caught them twice before doing the same thing before. The computer has no record of the order they claim to have entered. They admitted to taking an order, but there is no receipt. They said it must be a computer glitch . Is this a good enough reason to fire them or could the owner be faced with a lawsuit?

Twice before ? Gee, this doesn t sound like a glitch !Did you give the employee a warning letter this is a great help to keep on file anddocument that it has happened before -One time, OK - that could happen, twice, no not likely, three times ? ?Document it well including why no receipt appeared on the computer - that is notlikely 3 times - -it is not there - OK, keep the employee and let them continue to steal or risk a lawsuit - thelawsuit is minimal to missing cash out of the drawer every so often. If they areguilty it would be difficult to prove they are innocent when the facts speak forthemself.

You can terminate employment with cause for almost any reason. Suspicion of theft is sufficient cause in most cases, but it does leave you open to a claim from your local employment standards if the employee pursues it. You can always terminate with cause for another reason (eg. not following employee protocols).Termination without cause is always available by giving the employee fair notice. No reason has to be given and you are completely covered legally. This is based on Canadian provincial employment law.

I don t know about lawsuit, but...My mom is a physician and has her own private practice, she caught her medical assistant stealing cash and fired her and still had to pay unemployment benefits, even though you would think that s a solid reason. :/ Stupid law system.

I want to start a business but how do I make money (quot;membership-workshopquot;)? -

Ok so first off I m only 18 and still in college (Electrical Engineering at Purdue North Central.) I would love to start a business today but I also think I should finish my education... Maybe theres a way I could do both? Anyhow I wan t to set up a shop, you know like a big building full of tools and work tables! Id have wood working machinery, metals/ welding, electronics, a CNC router... Maybe some automobile stuff! And it would be a like a gym membership where you pay so much a month and you have access to the shop to work on projects and stuff... Have tools available for rent almost for free if your a member... I have a lot more ideas for a business like this but ill save it... I think it would go over real well in our town/ city! Im just wondering how Id make money? I mean charge people $50-$150 a month (no idea whats resinable???) Even still how would I make rent/ mortgage however that works... Then id need money for all the tools and supplies... Any advice would be awesome! Even just ideas for the shop in general!

Don t tell everybody your good idea. You can get gov t funding. check out globalbx.com or grant.gov...! Read everything so you understand enough to write your own business plan.

How do I know if a company is registered or not? -

I am trying to do business with a US marketing firm. They tell me they are a registered incorporated business but I can t find them on BBB. So I want to see how I can check whether or not the are really registered businesses.

Go to the secretary of state s website in the state where they are allegedly located. BBB is not a good source of reliable information. Just because they are registered doesn t mean they are legitimate

What happen if i sell my business lease? -

I am in my 3rd year in a shop lease, I got a buyer but if the new owner doesnt pay the rent, will the landlord come after me for the rent.

This is a complex area which depends on many factors. When was the lease originally granted? Leases can be bought and sold (assigned) so if you took over an existing lease it is irrelevant when you started but when it was originally granted. If the lease was granted before 1 Jan 1996 it is an old lease. In which case the original tenant will remain liable for the entire term of the lease. Any subsequent tenants may not be liable after they sell, but they would almost certainly have been required to enter into agreements to be liable for the rent for the entire remainder of the term. So if your lease is an old lease then your landlord can chase you for unpaid rent in the future. If the lease was granted on or after 1 Jan 1996 it is a new lease. In this case old tenants cease to be liable as soon as the new buyer completes their purchase of the lease. However, the landlord can (and almost certainly will) require the outgoing tenant to enter into an Authorised Guarantee Agreements (AGA). This means that you could be chased for rent while the person who bought from you is still there. As soon as they sell you are in the clear (and they have to give and AGA for their buyer etc).In either case the landlord can has to serve notice on you within 6 months of the rent becoming due, so you cannot be liable for more than 6 months rent. And if this does happen you can insist on becoming an overriding landlord. IE you become the landlord of the bad payer and you in turn are the tenant of the main landlord. This gives you the right to take some action against the bad payer, such as forcing them out allowing you to find a better tenant.Depending on the terms of your lease you may have other options such as a break clause. You need to talk to your solicitor to get advice specific to your circumstances.

In the UK Yes. I have the same problem. I sold on a new 15 year lease and I am responsible for the rent until the 15 years are up. There are some leases with an AGA (Authorised Guarantee Agreement) whereby you would have to pay your buyers rent until you find another buyer, and when they sell they are responsible for the rent. Mine is not one of those. You are also responsible for their depreciation s and the landlords fees, however the lease then reverts back to you and you can sell it again. Business leases are a minefield and you need advice from a Solicitor.

I had the same experience, but as the buyer.I found that the easiest way was to write a new lease ... the landlord was happy to know the truth, and I got better terms than the original lease. To answer your question, yes, you are responsible unless the lease is assignable. In this case, the landlord agrees to transfer the lease to the new business owner. If you plan to sublease, you would be violating the lease if sub-leasing is prohibited. If subs are ok ... you are still ultimately responsible to the landlord ... not just for rent ... property that is damaged, insurance, etc.

Can someone give me some ebay advice please? got a bad seller? -

She sent me a phony ghd. It took her 3 weeks to send it out. I sent it back anyway so took her a week to confirm she received it. She is very slow to respond to my emails but she does do it. Last week she said she would send me a cheque as her paypal was acting up...and I still haven t received anything!I noticed there was a little reminder thing in my ebay saying that I could start a dispute with her (something I didn t do as she was communicating with me) but now that little reminder thing has gone. Does it have a deadline to it?I would really appreciate some advice on what to do next. She had a 99% rating and good feedback when I bought off her, but in the last few weeks she has received a few negatives from others who bought a ghd off her. Thanks for any help with this

Start by sending her one last email telling her that you need to receive a refund via PayPal or a check that clears your bank by a date (say 10 days from the email, or less if you want) or you will report it to eBay AND PayPal.You can report it to eBay as a dispute. If you have to do that, use the emails that were sent to you indicating that she received your return as the main proof.I ve had 2 or 3 instances where this happened and in one instance had to go back to eBay and PayPal 30 days after to get my money back. The dispute process worked fine.I d suggest sending the email and giving her 7 - 10 days to resolve it and make it clear that you re moving to dispute if you don t hear back from her immediately. Also check her recent feedback. Provided her recent feedback is good and not increasingly bad, then this is probably just a bad hiccup during a busy time of the season and she ll probably make good on it.Hope that helps.

You really need to contact her through PayPal and eBay at all times - personally wouldn t trust her to send a cheque going off her pass record. I would personally instruct PayPal as they can sometimes reverse the payment - they do have a telephone number which is usually easier than sending emails. It s a real shame when people abuse eBay but hope this helps,

something thats couple pounds then just leave it, but some decent money talk to the police, Im 99% sure what she is doing is illegal

Yes, start a dispute and give her a bad review.

start a dispute with her that is the only way she will do wat u want her to

if you cant open a ebay dispute?than open a paypal dispute

45 days for a Paypal dispute (so youv e missed that deadline)However IF you did not send back to her by Recorded or Special delivery; you would have likely lost the dispute anyway.Your only hope now is an ebay dispute (as they sometimes refund themselves)You could always tell her that unless she pays you within (around 4-6 days) including your return P+P (as she sent you a fake) you will report her to Trading Standards as they take the selling of fakes very seriously as it is illegal and can lead to a criminal conviction and/or fine.Print off proof of your emails-the selling page-her feedback.(you have her address)Tell her you will report her illegal activities to the police for them to investigate.AND that she is now in possession of your goods(theft) UNTIL she has refunded you.

I would definitely open a dispute. You have 45 days from the payment date to open a dispute. After you open a dispute, Paypal will contact the seller and you can both negotiate terms and see if things can be resolved. If that does not work, you can them escalate the dispute to a claim. After opening the Dispute you only have 20 days to escalate it to a claim. Once it is escalated to a claim - We place a hold on all funds related to the transaction until the dispute is resolved or closed. So she can either return your money by herself you can then close the claim or if you keep on top of the whole process Paypal will return you your money.

Is there a good free at home data entry job? -

I want to find a data entry job that I can do at home but I don t want to have to shell out any money for it. Does anyone know of a good one?

They do not exist. The legitimate ones stopped hiring 2 years ago. Only the scammers and spammers are left. Avoid them all.

If you are an accomplished typist - word processor and have recently visited your local city college or university librarian, you can apply as a certified graduate typist, earning between $1.50 to $2.00 per page for a master or doctoral thesis. The librarian will provide you with a sample of the typing template (i.e., margin settings, font selection, page set up, etc.) in order to complete these projects using Microsoft Word. An average weekend income is about $300-$400 for two days work.Good luck!

Ofcourse. I can lead you to a good site in which I am doing data entry. The main advantage is that NO INVESTMENT EVER . You should register into that website. You will get the payment at 20th every month if it is Rs. 2000 or more. If the sum is less than Rs.2000 it will be added to next month. You can receive the payment by DD/Cheque/Visa/other methodsAnother advantage is when you register you get Rs.100 as bonus. Register it. The work is also so simple. Just filling forms.I shall give my referral id as source. click that link and register. good luck.

You may be able to find some work-at-home data entry jobs at Indeed.com. You can search by your zip code to find jobs available in your area.

Do you really need a VISA to sell things on Ebay? -

Is there any way to go around it?Why do they really need it?

No, you need a paypal account. There is no way around that. They tell you there is but both ebay and paypal are monopolies and telling someone that they can use other electronic means is like telling someone they can either go to Walmart or a lemonade stand. When you sign up for paypal they will act like they support credit cards but after they get you hooked, they will all but insist you use your bank account to fund it. From there you just pay ebay from paypal. It will be hard to use a Visa at that point. Paypal hates it when you use a credit card and the payment mechanism defaults to pay by bank account in a tricky way and you risk overdrawing your checking account if you do not pay close attention.

You don t necessarily need a visa to sell things on ebay. You do need a paypal account if you don t use a visa. You would then need a checking account. (which is all you need is a check card if you have a checking account you have a check card) (which is a visa) The paypal account is very helpful and free. but there are some small fees for the money part. I may be confusing you with so many different topics and things. But it is probably easier to have a visa to sell stuff on ebay. Just go open a checking account!!

no, you can use your atm card that has a visa or mastercard logo. they probably ask because for backup payment if your other payment fails. i use paypal that is connected to my atm card and then when i sell something, i can transfer the funds to my bank account.

Doesn t have to be Visa, It could be MC as well, or you can set up a Pay Pal Account.
