How paypal works if somebody wants to pay me something? -

Hi everybodyI was wondering how paypal works. Some people told me that it s free but how will it work if let say I have somebody who wants to pay me something and they want to pay me through paypal (or deposit that money to my account) Will that money go to my banking account or it s linked somehow (like to my citibank or wellsfargo account).Hope my question is clear :)Thanks for your time to read it and answer it.

Paypal is free for sending money and receiving money . paypal is linked directly to your checking account citibank or bank of America does not make a difference. I sell on ebay and when I make a sale, the buyer pays me through paypal, paypal charges me a fee (because I m a seller, and use their services all the time) to use their service and I take the rest. After, you transfer the money from your Paypal accnt. into your cheking accnt. Your situation is a little different so I suggest that you check paypals help page https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/helpweb?cmd=_help

Qualifications for Primerica? -

I was wondering how primerica works? What to expect when trying to get a job from them? Any credit checks, background checks, traveling to home, etc....

What position have you applied for? Primerica offers two types of opportunities. There s job opportunities, which there will be certain qualifications to be met. Primerica currently employs about 1800 employees, Then there s business opportunities, where the qualifications includes being at least 18 years old and have no criminal history. There s currently over 100,000 licensed representatives who are involved in the business opportunity. I m involved in the business opportunity and here s a short list of things I do: http://obe231.blogspot.com/2007/11/dutie

Don t do it unless you want To sell investments such as insurance to your friends and family. The products are quite high so it s not a great investment with the company built like a pyramid scheme. Don t pay to get a job that will line your mentor or seller s pockets.

A heartbeat and $99...you re qualified!

Are there any legit work at home jobs ? I have seen alot online but there is always a catch .? -

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

I know there are a lot of scams out there so be careful! Dont listen to the people though who say they are ALL scams. They are not actually ALL scams, just a lot of them are! LOL! In fact Yahoo Finance says that for every 1 legitimate home based opportunity there are 57 scams! At any rateI am actually a nurse and I love working outside the home but I know a lot of people want or need to work from home. About 2 years ago my sister finally found a legitimate company thats been in business for 20 years. I dont know too much about it but shes been doing it for 2 years now, about 20 hours a week and she makes about $40,000 a year. I know its legit because they have dozens of fortune 500 partners, they are members of the US Chamber of Commerce and of course, Ive seen her paychecks, LOL! She says she loves it! She gets to stay home with her kids which is pretty cool! Its not a job working for someone else but instead she sets her own schedule and she determines how much she makes. The more she puts into it, the more she gets out. I wish jobs were like that because I know I work way harder than some of the nurses here who are getting paid the same as I am! LOLHope this helps! Good luck in your search!-Michelle

I ve found one and I love it! It s with a debt free wellness company which has earned awards from the BBB! There s no selling, purchasing inventory, or going door to door. You get a free website, free training, and ongoing support! The only catch is that you re not going to get rich quick ...it takes some time to build your business. There are so many positive aspects to it! Right now it only takes $1 to get started (normally $29)! Not too shabby for starting your own business! Would love to share the details. Let me know if you want more info!

kgb.com and chacha.com but they don t pay well at all (maybe a couple dollars an hour)www.alpineaccess.com or companies like it.If you are open to home based business to email me and I can recommend a few that are worth taking a look at.

rick, please email me and i will tell you more about a LEGITIMATE online job. Thanks!

You can try a completely free home based online business.

there are no real ones.

I don t know if you ve seen the commercials for Cha Cha or kgb_ but they are text-based services where customers text in a question and then people sitting at home on their computers on the other end will research the question, find the answer, and send it back. That s what I do to fill in the time. As with any work from home enterprises there IS a catch...that is the pay is a bit measely and training can take 2-4 weeks (I got mine done in 2 weeks though because I had no life lol).Anyways, it s free to apply to be a Cha cha guide or kgb_ special agent and if they hire you then you do the training and then you can start working. How it works once you re hired and trained is you get on your computer (you MUST have firefox and high speed internet) and log into either the Cha Cha universe or the kgb_ knowledge generator and text messages will be routed to you, you research them and then send the answer. it s pretty easy, since Cha Cha/kgb take care of the actual logistics of getting the answer back to the customers phone. You basically just type and answer in a box and hit send I prefer kgb_ to Cha Cha. Chacha is a bit a joke sometimes because it s free and they make their money from advertisments, but kgb_ is actually $0.99 per answer, so theres more pressure to actually have correct answers so customers get their money s worth. Now for the catch...the pay. It s not amazing. If you don t type fast, you probably won t make more than $100 per month (although top earners earn several thousand, so obviously there is potential). You get something like 10 cents for every answer you send (and btw they grade you, so you can t just send crap you made up to earn money fast)As of right now, kgb_ is ALWAYS understaffed. They send me emails all the time begging me to sign on, whereas I think Cha Cha isn t hiring atm. So you might want to try kgb. Before you can apply as an agent you have to take this weird test type thing that s supposedly really hard...don t worry I failed it like 3 times before I was able to pass, and then I took it again a few months later to test my knowledge and I failed it another 2 times lmao. But the good news about that is even if you fail it the first time, you can jsut take it over and over again you passIf you want to experience both of them to see wtf I m talking about, you can text a question to Cha Cha at 242 242 for free, or if you don t mind an extra 99 cent charge on your cellphone bill you can text kgb at 542 542. I use kgb literally all the time

Is it illegal for an owner to participate in tips? -

A friend of mine owns a small coffee store. She works right along side with an employee. Sometimes she will only take a small proportion of the tips. There are never any complaints with whatever staff person happens to be working with her for that day. At the end of the day both share with whatever tips there are. The employee usually figures it out. Someone said that was illegal for an employer to share in the tips. We are talking $10-20 each.. Any experience with this? .

http://articles.latimes.com/2009/jun/03/The notion that it is wrong comes from the Starbucks Class Action Lawsuit. The Baristas had to share their tips with their shift supervisors... and this lawsuit has been going on for years.Just recently it has been reversed again. To be very honest.... an owner should have the moral obligation to either stay out of the tip jar or give their employees a living wage that doesn t require them to depend on tips as an income. If that employee makes minimum wage or little above.... the tips are hers. Because frankly dear.... the owner makes enough on the profits.

No. It is illegal to pay less than the state minimum wage. Many employees and employers believe it to be unfair for the owner of the business, who receives all the profits of the business, to also share in tips. It can be a disincentive for employees who have to share their tips with the owners.

I don t know about the legality of the owner taking a portion of tips meant for employees; I do however think it is unethical. How can an employee respect an employer who gives the impressin of being either needy or greedy enough to take tips?.

dude tips r 4 the buisness and u r an intrigal part of the buisness. it isnt illegal. who is the moron who told u that?

it s not illegal but it is a moral thing she should not take any tips from her employees

How do I buy a percentage ownership in a farm? -

I would like to buy 10% of a farm, how do I do that?Is there a website that explains that?

find someone willing to sell that, then buy it. There s no website www.howtobuy10%ofafarm.com

The only way I can think of is to find nine friends to go in with you in a partnership, with all of you buying the farm together and each owning an equal share.I don t think it s very likely you ll find a farmer who wants to sell ten percent of his business. You could start by asking a commercial real estate broker, and see what they think about your plan. You re not going to find a Web site describing this. What you re asking about is quite unusual, and not regular business practice.

How does starting your own website get you money? -

how does that happen .. i mean i like to blog so how do i get money with that website.. i dont know..im lost

Generally you elect to put ads on your site. You get a certain amount of money when someone clicks one of these ads, or in some cases you get paid per impression. This means for every 1000 impressions the ads make you get a few cents. The problem is you have to get the viewers to your site, which isn t always an easy task. It takes a lot of time and effort, but really is worth it. Just start with good content on your blog and learn the basics of search engine optimization. Another way to make money through your blog is by writing reviews or mentioning/linking to certain products or companies. You can use this with a combination of ads to maximize your earnings. Check out www.athomeopps.com for companies who will pay you to do this.

in order to get money from your website you have to sell advertising space. google adsense does this very well.

Good Business name suggestions? -

I m 18 and I m getting ready to start a small photo retouching business online. (digital editing). I posted a question recently on here to see if anyone could help me get the creative juices flowing, but none of the suggestions seemed up to par.I don t want anything with my name in it and I don t want anything with the words Picture or Perfect in it. Everyone seems to be suggesting that one and I really find it too cliche to even consider.Someone did suggest Be Touched but I think that sounds too much like a porn site... I don t want anything too juvenile, something that would last long term. I m open to using something in another language even.Maybe something edgy. Like Toxic Waste Photo Edits. So what do you guys think. What kind of a name would spike your curiosity and make you want to visit my site?If I use your name, I ll even give you a free picture edit when I get the site up :)

http://www.biznuss.net is a link to a site that plugs online surveys and methods of achieving income. It is a plug.Your choice of business is more than competitive. Photo retouching is easy to do with available apps. You could show before and after on your website to promote your services. Toxic Waste Photo Edits has a negative connotation and will not be conducive to promoting your business. How about A Bit to Far Scene Again digital stew Optical Delusions Image Replay ; I have more.....

I want to start a business but how do I make money (quot;membership-workshopquot;)? -

Ok so first off I m only 18 and still in college (Electrical Engineering at Purdue North Central.) I would love to start a business today but I also think I should finish my education... Maybe theres a way I could do both? Anyhow I wan t to set up a shop, you know like a big building full of tools and work tables! Id have wood working machinery, metals/ welding, electronics, a CNC router... Maybe some automobile stuff! And it would be a like a gym membership where you pay so much a month and you have access to the shop to work on projects and stuff... Have tools available for rent almost for free if your a member... I have a lot more ideas for a business like this but ill save it... I think it would go over real well in our town/ city! Im just wondering how Id make money? I mean charge people $50-$150 a month (no idea whats resinable???) Even still how would I make rent/ mortgage however that works... Then id need money for all the tools and supplies... Any advice would be awesome! Even just ideas for the shop in general!

Don t tell everybody your good idea. You can get gov t funding. check out globalbx.com or grant.gov...! Read everything so you understand enough to write your own business plan.

Is this a good idea for a small Business? -

Okay, so I had this one idea, I might go through with it, might not, I just want to see what you all think of it.Okay so I was thinking of having an internet sight, that would go through all of the school subjects in highschool, and all you have to do is click on a grade, go to the subject, then just type in what your learning, and there would be either a video of what your learning or you could have an adio for it, even educational games, for it.Well I just wondering how many people would go for this? And if I do go through this who should I market it this for?Should I market it more for the parents, because it would only be 4 dollars per month, to have this, and normally a tutor costs bewteen 5 to 9 dollars per hour, and a tutor can only do so much.

dont let anyone talk you out of what you want to do and any one who says you cant is simply displaying their own weakness not yours the only way youll know if its going to work or not is for you to try it out and just because it doesnt work out the first time doesnt mean you cant learn from your mistakes and correct what went wrong do your research and find out exactly what it is you need to do to start that kind of website market it then see what happens if your thinkig about it chances are someone will pick intrest its your idea give it a shot if it doesnt work out at least you know you tried think positively dont let people with negative thoughts take you down good luck

A site like that could be useful if done well. It would probably be marketed towards parents and schools. Thing is, you would probably need to have a teaching certificate to be qualified to make a site like that at all. Not to say anyone will stop you from doing it, but most people wouldn t use it if they think you don t know what your talking about.

NO U WILL FAIL U WILL FAIL THAT S A TERRIBAL I DEA NEVER EVER DO THAT EEW JUST THINKING OF IT DISGUSTS ME !

Can I maintain my COBRA coverage after I become self-employed? -

I was laid off in April and began COBRA coverage at a very good rate due to the stimulus package subsidy. I am about to become self-employed and would like to keep the COBRA coverage and my insurance for as long as possible (18 months). I understand that after the 18 months I will definitely need to find my own coverage, but I m wondering if I can keep my current insurer on COBRA until then.

The short answer to your question is: Yes. I am doing just that myself. The Federal COBRA law gives you the option to continue your coverage through your previous employer (as long as they still offer coverage to full-time employees...) for 18 months. No restrictions.Good Luck!

Whats it like working for Kleeneze? -

Is it all good money for not much or is it a con?

It s like spending hours posting catalogues through letterboxes, then spending even more hours knocking on doors to collect the catalogues from people who think all the stuff in the catalogues is pointless shiite, and so all those hours spent delivering and collecting catalogues have been a complete waste of time.Seriously, the road is riches is definitely not lined with Kleeneze orders.

Not as good as they make it sound. Kleeneze distributors can work anywhere which means that other Kleenex distributors can be working on the same patch. It is not unusual for them to pinch your catalogues off the doorsteps including the orders which they then deliver. With Kleneze you pay for the catalogues and order forms etc. Why not try Betterware? The catalogues, and all other items are free and each patch has only one disributor. Why spend your commission buying new kit with Kleeneze.

do yourself a favour and don t do it...kleeneze and bettaware are the most down market mail order firms operating...they save on postage by making you deliver there ridiculous catalogues, and then collect them, if they haven t been thrown in the bin by the householder..any orders you do get will be sent to your house, and by xmas you will be climbing over junk just to get in your front door...typical item, a plastic box, for putting my untidy Supermarket carrier bags in ! im guessing its commission based with a token wage just to keep you interested, we are living through hard times, and cash is needed always...but this is just wrong on so many levels !

It s like working for Avon - a lot of hard work for very little reward.

I sold a $34 perfume on eBay and sent it priority with tracking. Seller saying they didnt receive AND.....? -

....I EMAILED them back with ALL of the tracking information showing that their item arrived TWO days after purchase. It was Sept. 23 when it arrived..they bought it the 21st.I emailed all of this and she just replied: Then I want you to initiate research because I didn t receive my item.Obviously--wants a refund and going to threaten me with negative feedback since my score on eBay is literally PERFECT..not even one neutral and I m at 332. 100%. What do I do? I am SOOOO irritated with this cheap buyer that I don t even want to reply right away because I think I will tell her that she needs to stop trying to get things for free and if she threatens me with negative feedback I will have her reported and suspended, etc.But seriously--what CAN I do to protect myself??? I mean..the package CLEARLY shows it arrived at 10:22 am at her door. I sent her that. She was rude and told me to investigate it WTF????

One or two negative feedback is not going to ruin you. Don t sweat it. There are always ******** out there who s out to score freebies by abusing the system. If the post office says it was delivered, then the problem was with her or the post office. Did she pay with Paypal? If so you may enjoy Paypal Seller protection, as long as the item was delivered. https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr

well if you dont want to ruining your feedback just give her her money back and make sure you never sell to her again...or just report her and let her leave negative feedback...you got proof that she got it and reply to her feedback saying that and ppl will understand

Take a deep breath - even if you get a neg, I promise you it will NOT hurt your business, let alone ruin it. When buyers see a recent neg, they will read your feedback to see what happened. You will respond to the neg saying you have proof of delivery and provided it to the buyer so people can read your side of the story.Any reasonable person will understand you had a flaky buyer and won t avoid you over one neg when you have hundreds of positive feedbacks. I understand it s aggravating to deal with this, but do not worry about a single negative feedback. Trust me.

The very first thing you re going to want to do is contact ebay and let them know what happened. Then, you ll want to report the buyer. That s theft. Just make sure that you scan all your documentation of proof of delivery so that when it comes up (and it will) you can just shoot an email to ebay in response to her dispute. Also, be sure to respond if she gives you a negative review. And in your response be sure to list the tracking number so people know that it s for real.

PLEASE HELP! My husband amp; I own our own business amp; someone we did work for wont pay!? -

Anyone with legal experience? Advice? We are a family dealing with the tough economic times, our small business completed work several months ago has yet to be paid. We have tried being polite patient but to no avail. Anyone with experience or advice would be a godsend- THANKS!

Bummer, you have to take them to small claims court.Be advised, whoever signs the paperwork must be the one who shows up in court. Any signatures on contracts and estimates will be the evidence you ll wish to show.

it s hard to say without more details. Depending on the type of work you may be able to file a lien against their property (for example if you did roofing work on their house and they don t pay you). And as the previous answer stated, depending on the amount, you may have to go to small claims court to get a judgement. A lot really depends on the amount, type of work you did and the state you live in. Depending the amount, you may want to consult an attorney (or hire a collection agency to go after them)

I live in Ca. also and here bad PR will get the doors closed I use to collect for a company when I was a linebacker in college and I would do a couple of things, My favorite was to just go there and sit in their lobby with the unpaid invoice and the signature for work done on a clipboard. I waited and talking to everyone that came in, everyone walked by, or even pulled up. I would ask them questions like I was doing some survey especially asking what people thought about companies that don t pay their bills on time. If they didn t have a lobby I would stand out front I waved to cars driving by and would be holding a sign that said they owed me money for work completed. (again with the signed completion note and the over due invoice on my clipboard) Honestly I don t remember ever waiting longer than twenty five minutes and I was collecting small amounts even under a hundred bucks.

You ll have to prove that the work was done. Preferably, the other party have signed for the work as completed, but that s not strictly necesary, just makes it easier for you to win. If they did not sign, you ll need material provided, log of hours worked, photo or proof of end result (before / after photos?) and so on, as well as copy of original order signed by the person who placed the order. EDIT: Contact your state contractor s board on how to file a mechanic s lien on the property is a great idea. I wish I thought of that first. ---Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II daysHard work has a future payoff. Laziness pays off now.

Quick answer, put a contractors lien on anything they own outright. Then start proceedings in small claims court if is under the maximum limit allowed. If you made a deal with the person to do work you had a contract, that is the requirement for a contractors lien.
