Why is PayPal still holding my money for 21 days after I shipped the product? -

I already shipped the product to the buyer, and entered the tracking number information in PayPal. It s more than 4 days and PayPal still have not released the fund! What s going on??? :-(

They have posted fairly promptly to my account.. I don t remember their posted policy, but perhaps they are waiting for the buyer to confirm receipt?

How to open a bait shop? -

I would like to open a bait shop for someone but i dont know anything about it. Can someone who knows or experienced this please help guide me through step by step or as much as you can? I can get a fair location with approximately $600-$700 monthly rent. how do i get baits, fishing license, cheap tackles, hooks, etc? How do I get started and what are the important things that I should know when opening a bait shop. Thanks

As a former bait shop owner, in northeast Texas, I can tell you that it is not really difficult to start up. Depending how big you want the shop to be, you won t need much space at all. One very important thing is, if you plan on selling LIVE bait(minnows, night crawlers, etc.), they MUST be kept cool or else they ll die before you can get a dozen sold. I had a small (12x8) room that was air conditioned( window unit) just for that purpose. The fishing tackle I sold at my shop was purchased from a wholesale supplier...all well known name brands. I did not sell fishing licenses because there was a lot of state government red tape to break through, cost vs profit was not there, and it just didn t make sense for me to sell them due to the fact that there was a state park just a mile away that sold them. Hmm...there s so much more I want to tell you...could you please e-mail me and I can give you my phone number via e-mail. One thing for sure about having a bait and tackle shop....IT S A LOT OF FUN!! I miss mine. =(

if your looking at this large scale in like opening a chain of shops it will be alot different to buying one shop for the love of it.for a large scale plan you will need finance and lots of it, premises, and legal advice and i could go on forever with all the different details...if you want to open a small shop then you need start up money, need to find a shop that is in an area that is big on fishing as that is where your target market will be and if you are good at math you need to sort out a business plan and cashflow diagrams to see if you will make any money or if you will loose money. if your not get an accountant to do it for you.if you want more information message me and ill be happy to help you. the world needs more entrepreneurs =] good luck

Buy a failed sushi shop ?You best bet would be to work at a bait shop, learn the ropes, watch the register, customer, invoices (f possible) and the books (if possible). You need experience in these areas (in no particular order) a) running a shop (for any business) and 1) Get a lawyer for advice about types of ownership/liability 2) Get a bookkeeper to keep track of the income and outgo 3) Get a Insurance guy/gal for state required insurance/common sense required insuranceb) running a bait shop 1) what bait is good ? Is it seasonal ? how long does it keep? 2) whats hot, tackle wiseAnd these are just the ones I could think of, I would bet money there are others. If you don t have answers to these questions, stop now otherwise the odds are against your success.

What do I need to do to make at least $100 a month from Amway? -

A friend (of course) told me about this amway thing and i signed up...it all seems a little too good to be true to make money and perhaps a MLM scheme...BUT i have not completely lost faith in it. what do I need to do to make 100 or 200 bucks a month? how many people do I need under me? how much pv do I need to order for myself? thanks!

don t get involved. you just end up losing money in the end unless your the the TOP upline of the supposed team you are under. They are the ones who pressure you into going to meetings and trainings that involve out of pocket travel expenses and other events you have to pay out of pocket attendance fees. They also entice weak minded people by showing you a fake bonus paycheck and claim that expenses are tax deductible. There is also a lot of learning and training material that you have to buy from amway, but in reality the learning tools are the real way they profit (the upline of your upline). I read parts of a very good book when I was introduced to this mysterious business . I dropped out immediately but my friend who tried to recruit me stayed 3 years until they came to their senses. The author was in amway a long time ago (80s and 90s) but the culture of amway and the series of events that transpire are pretty accurate and were similar to what my friend ultimately experienced. I feel sorry for your friend. don t get fired up!

Just for your information, it is not perhaps a MLM but Amway is a MLM. Your friend who recruited you should have told you the compensation plan. If he or she doesn t, then he or she is not doing a good job. That is the requirement of being a leader in any MLM or to be nicer, network marketing company. PLEASE!PLEASE!PLEASE!DO NOT ORDER FOR YOURSELF...You will be wasting money. If you find the products good, use them as a consumer but DO NOT stock up products.I have friends who did this way and lost a lot of money. They will tell that by buying products to keep makes you committed and motivated to recruit more people so you can get rid of the products for yourself. But please do not do this. I learn this from investing and that is the risk/reward ratio. If the reward that you are gaining is not as good as your risk, then that ratio is against you and you should not do it. So do your sums, if you require to pay $500-$1000 to make $100-$200 every month. That means your risk is bigger than your reward. And if I just take $500 per month for example..You have to invest $500 to get $200 (ideal example). This means that you are paying $300 extra every month to the company for nothing. Think about this. All the best..

Nobody s buying Amway anymore, the economy got rid of most of everyone s surplus cash for luxury items. The Amway thing is like a pyramid, the person who recruits you gets a cut of what you sell, you end up with very little. Might as well get out of it while you can and return the materials.

Is it really hard to make money selling scentsy? -

I know consultants are not suppoesed to say real numbers but I need to know if it is worth all the work to sell scentsy. I am in a rural area and by the time I drive to people s houses for parties and stuff and buy more business materials, will I be out of money for that month? I m not sure I ll make more than $75-100 per month and that won t put much of a dent in our monthly expenses. I just want some direct answers. Thanks so much in advance.

Selling anything is rough especially if your in rural area !plus thats only a one time sale in most instances !GETTING repeat customers over and over again is YOUR toughest achievement i would venture into another form of home business thats provides a residual income that requires very little work on your part

I have been selling Scentsy for about 9 months now and I love it. To be honest, I rarely do any home parties. Most of my sales are simply by word of mouth. With Scentsy, you will get 20% commission from you sales. Once you sell a thousand dollars you will move up to 25% commission. It is really not that hard to sell Scentsy. It really does basically sell itself. As your team grows, your earnings will grow as well. It is a great job for extra money, but to think of it as a full time income in the beginning would be unrealistic. The kit that you get when you sign up will have everything you need to get started. So, you would not need to buy anything extra in the beginning. There are alot of great promotional products that you can buy, but they are not necessary. My advise to anyone that is just starting with Scentsy is to have a big Open House in your home and invite EVERYONE that you know. Hopefully, you can get several bookings off of your own open house. Also, get friends and family to host parties for you. Scentsy is a great product and once people see it for themselves they will usually come back for more. Good luck with your decision. I hope this helped you some.

Being in a rural area brings about different challenges, but it s definitely not impossible. I have one consultant on my team who lives in a rural area, but makes it work to her advantage. She s the only consultant close to her area, so many people seek her out when they need more product. Not all of your work has to be with home parties. I do a lot of basket parties, where I hand off the basket of scents and the hostess is on her way. A week later, she brings it back and I calculate the order and send it in. For the time and effort put into it, it s worth it. I also get a lot of online sales that don t require a party at all.I don t share income publicly, but I have done so via email. Sharing this information can be misleading since everyone runs their business differently. But I m happy to share if it would make your decision easier.I wish you the best of luck with your decision and commend you for all your research. It sounds like you like the company and the product and that s the best first step.Lisa

my wife sells Scentsy and loves it. Being in a rural area might be hard at first until people know that you are selling it, then they will be coming to you or ordering off your Scentsy web site. On nice thing about it is no one else is selling it around you so you will not have other Scentsy people trying to sell to your customers. Another thing that will help you a lot is to sign up under a good consultant that will help you out anytime you need, weather its for questions about your account or ordering or maybe just needing some scents or warmers found for your customers that you cant get. My wife has a large inventory of warmers and scents, and she loves to help out her team in anyway she can. we ship things to her other team members all the time that live on the other side of the US, and NO we don t charge them shipping for it. if you would like to know more about it or talk about how much money you can make, my wife would love to talk to you about it and answer any question you may have. please email me and i will give you her web site, email address and phone number. good luck with what ever you decide to do.

I desperately need to start my own business,I cant decided what!? -

I suffer from social anxieties as can t do most thing . I am a media graduated very much in to fashion and art. but I cant decided what would be best for me a specially in current economic climate. I would be appreciated any suggestion.

If you have social anxiety how are you going to run a company? How will you meet with customers, make cold calls, beg bankers for money, etc. That sounds liek a disaster waiting to happen.

Hi, firstly can I say that this little talked about illness you have is very much under-rated and I can t even begin to imagine how it must feel to live with it day in day out and my heart goes out to you.I would suggest that you don t rush into any type of business but please do your research thoroughly before committing to anything. I have written several articles about this and also blog posts that you may want to read before actually committing to anything. There are many businesses you can do from home where you do not have to have face-to-face interaction if you do not want to,. You ve interacted on here so it would probably be OK for you to do the same on the other social networking sites and promote your business that way.Check out what I ve written though and see if it will help you in anyway.Good luck for now and I really hope you find something that meets all your needs.Trish

You need to start an online business....where you wouldn t have to talk on the phone with clients, vendors, etc. You could start a business selling items on eBay, build blog websites or even create a business based around what you know... How to deal with Social Anxieties

If you are IT literate - you might want to consider setting up an IT Training Business. Training people on the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and other Software Packages)To minimize costs, you will do the Training on site. E,g Training Centres or Organisations (that have training facilities for their staff) This significantly reduces set up costs. (No Training centre to rent, no computers to buy) There is still a big market for peole who are learning IT - Some just trying to get into jobs, some need refresher training.I set up a small IT Training Business years ago.

I think the best thing to do is to become a personal shopper or freelance fashion-buyer for small boutiques. Maybe you should start off with Friends and family members re:anxiety issues. Try and discuss this with your doctors as it will be beneficial to interact with your clients. I can be contacted on luckkki@yahoo.com

Desperation is not a good start to any business. You really need to take a long and hard look into your self instead of asking for suggestions on Y/A.

Try the Powerbar Club which is a completely free home based online business.

Can you run a business out of your home in Dallas, TX like a hair salon? -

I am thinking of going to cosmetology school. My main reason is I want to learn to do acrylic nails but over here I have not had any luck finding a school that offers just that course without taking the whole course so I decided that it would not be a bad idea to do that but I want to be my own boss and open my own salon. Of course I don t have the money to do so and probably won t when I finish so I have a garage that I used to rent and it s been empty for a while could I turn that into my salon just to start? I plan to have my nail station of course and a station to cut hair. Like I said it would just be to start and build my clientele until I can save up to open a bigger place and hire people to help me. If you are a salon owner give me your feed back or if you know if I can run a salon out of my home then let me know.

Empty?! OMG
