What are the procedures for opening an indoor shooting range in Virginia? -

Me and a friend are looking into buying some land, building, opening, and operating an indoor shooting range on it. What are the procedures followed to do so? I ve looked online to find a site for this, but can t seem to find the right thing. Anyone know how or a site with the proper procedures?

While there are probably some basic things like EPA compliance and such that are common, I m sure VA will have it s own set of rules and laws. A better place to address this question might be vagunforum.net or possibly at the mdshooters forums as there people there which are somewhat familiar with VA laws and such. There s a pretty good chance someone at either place would have a better idea than the average Y!A user. Of course the better option would be getting on a forum that is VA specific.

What should I tell the Manager at the store I wish to work at? -

I spoke to him in person, and he told me to apply for the job online, and then call the store back. What should I say? Im kind of nervous, but not very. Btw im 16

Just say, This is (your name). I spoke with you last week (or whatever) and you suggested I apply online for the job we discussed, then call you. I ve applied online and was following up to see what the status of my application is. Practice that until you can feel comfortable saying it, then call.

When you call back, ask for him by name, give your name and tell him that you had spoken to him about applying for a job on line, you have done this, and you were wondering if you were being considered for this job. If he says that he hasn t made any decision thank him for his time and ask him if you can call him back in several days. Good luck, I hope you get the job.

Business card name help ? pleaseee helppppppppppppppppppp!!!!!!!? -

so im a dancer who gets book by different places. and i wanna make a bussiness card so i can have more custumers and for them to take me more serious so my quiestion is how can i describe my self as if i do performances and private classes?i was thinking.Private Classes and Performances ? it doesnt sound prefesional can you please help.i do hip hop btw

Have a professional graphic designer/printing place set it up. I recommend Reduced Printing (www.reducedprinting.com)

So what *do* you do? Are you primarily a performer, or primarily a teacher? Or are you trying to be both? Why not make TWO cards for different sides of your business? One says hip hop dance performer , and the other one says hip hop dance instructor , then hand out the appropriate one, since the two sides of the business don t really mix? Color photo of you dancing would be good, but hire a pro photographer for that, unless you have some really good amateur friends who can do it.

Do you have a name for your business? Have one, even if you are the only one in it as of now. Embark yourself as Professional Dancer. As a teacher of Hip Hop. Perhaps host of website with pictures from functions / performances you attended and have that link in your B card. When your profession has a business name and a website, many people will look at you with respect.

Why arent the banks lending to small business? -

Enter more detail here (Optional)

Most small business are over-leveraged in this economy and don t have enough collateral to cover the loans. Banks are being pushed to increase deposits and collect on delinquent loans established prior to the sub-prime lending debacle. In other words their lenders are on a tight leash.

RealityJ, the dynamic is so complicated. But the basics are this: Banks balance sheets got out of whack when they began lending less diligently over the past decade. When real-estate values plunged, the banks were so overleveraged that many of them failed and others fell short of capital requirements. The easiest response was to stop lending. These days, few banks are looking to generate loans. Instead, they are looking to shore up their balance sheets by holding onto deposits and working to improve struggling parts of their loan portfolios. None of that, as you can see, has anything to do with making new loans.Eventually, this will turn around. Several new loan programs may come through Congress this year, making lending less risky for banks by creating federal guarantees. While the SBA already has done some of that, these programs are likely to shift even more of the risk from banks to taxpayers. The net result will be a loosening of lending to smaller companies. We won t see lending reaching nearly the frothy level of the past decade, but we ll almost surely enter a somewhat more relaxed environment in the next year.

How can i make easy money without getting a job? -

i m 13 so i can t really get a job that pays well and i really need money as christmas is coming soon!!Thanks x

Legally, about the only thing you can do is ask other people to give it to you.

Could you babysit or do odd jobs around the house or for relatives? Also you could ask your church if they know any people who could pay you a little to help them. Ideas for some odd jobs you could do:Rake leavesshovel snowhelp wrap presentshelp with groceriesclean or organizewash windows or carsI hope you can find some people who need help and can pay you! Merry Christmas!

It is going to be hard to find something to give you enough money for Christmas, but I do have something that is open to 13 yrs old and older that will make you money and you won t have to worry about Christmas next year! If interested, send me an email or go to my blog and check it out.

I make money online in my spare time using a site called CashCrate. It is a GPT (Get Paid To) site where you get paid to fill out surveys and complete free offers. You dont need a credit card and will never have to spend a dime. CashCrate is the most reliable and safest GPT site you will find on the internet. You wont get rich from cashcrate but you can earn about $50-$200/month on average. Below is the URL to my blog dedicated to cashcrate. In it is everything you need to know to get started as well as Proof that CashCrate Pays. If you are interested please check it out. p.s. If you have any questions you can email me at pronk48dh@yahoo.com

I make some extra money taking surveys. You have to be 13 or older.I found a site that doesn t try to charge you anything or ask for a credit card. I have posted pictures of the payments I received, as proof.http://freesurvey4pay.blogspot.com/

try google packs, pay like 15 quid and earn hundreds a month, no age limit and all you need is a credit card. good luck, and it s great that you are taking responsibility for your selfhttps://www.google.com/adsense/login/en_US/

Tape a photo of a sick looking child onto the side of an empty coffee can...then go door to door asking for donations. You will make your neighbors feel charitable while cashing in...its a win-win scenario.

How do I become an UPS outlet center? -

I want to become an UPS shipping receiving outlet.

Call UPS and speak with their franchising department.

If I buy a virtual office in the USA but do all the work from the UK I am breaking any laws? -

Looking to expand my recruitment business.

like all laws, there are loopholes but i don t see any reason why it would be illegal as long as you are paying american taxes for your american business.but i am no lawyer, maybe you should make the right enquiries

Tax laws between the US and the UK are controlled by a Tax Treaty signed in 2002. The one before that was in force from 1975. The tax treaty prevents double taxation, which you would be subject to if you did business in the US and were physically present. You should contact a tax advisor who is comfortable dealing with international issues and with the US-UK Tax Treaty. The Big Four accounting firms will do this for you, but it will cost a lot -- thousands of pounds. (The Big Four are Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), Deloitte and Touche, Ernst Young, and KPMG.)You can also try a medium-sized international tax advisor. They will charge hundreds of pounds for an hour-long visit. As an American living and working in the UK and sometimes the US, I use a good firm based in Windsor. They are not the ones who do my taxes. They just set up my tax strategy for the next several years.Let me know if you need this corporation s contact details.

I think it should be ok as long as you pay taxes earned in their borders. You should check all the relevant facts.

What are the biggest 5 questions people ask a website designer before hiring him or her? -

If you were a small or medium sized business, what are the main 5 questions on your head before choosing a certain website designer?

This really needs a little more clarification: 1. Are you hiring a single person, or a studio? 2. Are they designing the site only, are they developing only, or are they doing both? 3. Are they simply making a design for a template (will need minimal development)?4. Are you doing e-commerce (selling things online)? All of these will determine the core questions you should ask. I await your edits to your question : )OK, a lot better knowing what s going on. 1. You definitely need to see a portfolio, and since this person is both designing and developing, you need him to show you a couple of live sites that he has done. After the initial interview, click through those sites he did and make sure everything works and looks good. (Gonna use masculine voice when referring to the designer, it s just easier. Don t mean to offend).2. Ask what his process is for doing sites--from initial brainstorming and sketches all the way to launch. *follow-up with asking how long it takes to build a site like the one you want. *follow-up the above question by asking how many projects he works on at one time (this will let you know how accessible he is, and how easy he can deal with unexpected problems, additions, or changes).3. Ask what his policy on changes is. Every web site project (in my experience) has at LEAST one change. Usually designers will include -- rounds of changes if they are charging you a fixed price and are experienced. Changes can be a BIG point of contention, so get it straight early.4. Ask what his solution for managing the site post-launch is. Does he include a CMS (content management system) for you? Does he charge you his hourly rate to work on it? Does he charge you a reduced rate?5. Ask why you should hire him over another designer or studio. (If the answer is ONLY that he is cheaper, be careful, this means he doesn t feel like he specializes in anything).General Tips:-NEVER be the first one to name a price. If you offer low they will bump you up, if you offer high, they will not bump you down.-Do not ask leading questions (questions that have an obvious right answer). You are setting yourself up to have him fudge on the truth. Make him talk a lot. A really good designer will answer most of your questions above before you ask them.Hope this helps!

I suggest the following question before hiring a web designer.1. you need to see a portofolio.( what is the best website done and why?) 2. check references 3. Give them a brief description of what you re trying to achieve and let him/her explain you how to get there.4. How long will lit take to complete the project?5. Does he take care of the website marketing or not?

I have adapted a simple wooden patented product for a new market; HOW do I go about using this and how much pound;? -

I want to use a simple wooden patented product for a new market but adapted; HOW can I do this?I want to use an old patented product for a new market in a different size and design. This product has been used in different materials for different markets but not for the use I want it for. The product has only ever been used for a certain market but used extensively by many different companies/makers/manufactureres. I would like to change the size of this product and the design and aim it for a totally new market, How do I go about this with minimal funds? This has not been done with this product so it will be a totally new angle but a much needed one in my experience. Can anyone help me? I am in the UK

Maybe start by searching for other patents that might cover your use or other devices that do the same thing:http://gb.espacenet.com/search97cgi/s97_Is the old patent more than 20 years old, ie expired or still in force ?If you find nothing you have a choice of doing it your self or paying. Suggest that after a some initial search by yourself you contact the patents office.

How do I asure that my shirt design is protected? -

I have a design for a t-shirt with a slogan. How do I assure that my design and slogan is protected (from t-shirt design and logo steeling thieves) before I start to market it?

Do a Poor man s Patent . Take photos of the design and FedEx them to yourself. Do not open unless there s a need to (ie. lawsuit, etc.).The shipping date of the package shows when you came up with the design and can prove that it was your idea first.
