Is this is a good idea for online business? -

i thought about starting my own website answering peoples questions. and charge like a dollar for an answer. i know alot of useless info and i have access to lots of info. is this a good idea?

You should seriously consider revising your business plan/model. Offer the service for free and use targeted ads and affiliate programs on your site to earn money.

rather than setting up a website, why not set up a premium rate number that forwards to your cell, then advertise the fact that you can answer any question and when people call you will be making money from their calls rather than a $ per question answered on the web ;)

Considering your competition - yahoo answers - offers this service for free, it doesn t sound like a very viable idea. What would you offer that Y!A does not?

Well, you ll be competing with sites such as Yahoo Answers which give them away for free. So I doubt many people will pay for it.

I want to buy a radio station and start a radio company, but I need...(10pts best answer)? -

I have niche in the radio market and I need investors and workers who will literally become **OBSESSED** w/ success. No this hope my money doesn t fail, I mean I will grind my body to the bone to lead this business to success. How do I find these types of workers and people? (I am a younger looking guy, 20).

To start with you need to do the following put together a business plan of what this Radio station you are obsessed with will be doing, playing, advertising, promoting, etc. Second lay out how you will make money in this radio business with a financial plan. Third, determine the roles responsibilities that need to be filled besides yourself. Next, get funding I might be able to lead you to some possible sources but you will want to make sure you have someone with strong financial background on your team. There is a lot more to be added here but get these together with your story and supporting data then you can move from concept to possible. I hope this helps. Good luck

I cant get in contact with my hosting company. What would you do? -

Last December, I bought a ptc website. When I bought it, it was already set up to be hosted by Scottsdale Hosting. I have tried to contact them in the past, but they never respond. Now, it looks like their own website is down. I don t know if the company isn t in business any more or what the deal is but the website I bought from them is still running. I am thinking about selling the website. If I can t get in contact with the Scottsdale Hosting company when I sell it, do you think I could just give the new owner the username and password and be done with it? If not, how would you handle the situation?

You need more information on Scottsdale Hosting. Was it a corporation? If it was, the Secretary of State for the state it was incorporated in will have information about the company. If the corporation was dissolved or filed for bankruptcy, they should know. Was Scottsdale Hosting part of another company? If so, contact the parent company. If nothing else, look at the contract you signed. Track down the agent who signed the contract as their representative. They might know how to get in touch with the owners.Any serious buyer will want more than just a password and username info. You will need to find out what is going on first.

I am looking for employment and would like to know how to post my resume? -

By all means, post your resume with all of the big online job portals like Monster.com and Yahoo! Hotjobs, as well as any smaller local or regional ones where you live, but just be aware that those sites will only rarely yield job interviews for you.The best leads all come through personal networking. You need to make sure that your personal network: friends, family, neighbors, past co-workers, etc. are aware of what your skills are and the type of work you d like to get into. They can then point you toward potential employers who might have an interest in someone with your background.Meet with these employers for an informational interview -- don t go specifically asking for any openings (they ll figure out that s what you want anyway). Find out if that particular employer seems like a good fit for you, find out how others have been hired in there, find out how you can improve your resume to be more attractive to them (training? certification? volunteer experience?) and find out what other employers they d recommend that you try to talk with. This gives you face time with a prospective employer, generates new information and new leads and leaves open a new communication channel for you...all of those things will eventually translate into employment.

How Can I control how many people use my services because I think my employee steals? -

Hi I own a business where people play this game, however, I have no way of controlling how many people come and I think my employee pockets the money. Any ideas to how I should control it? thank you!

Almost all employees steal, the only question is how much. Why not send in secret shoppers to use the service and have them spy on your employees for a day or so and see if you re right before you go to great lengths to change things you may not even have to change at all if you re wrong.Good luck!...

You can also put in security cameras. It s not that expensive and you can typically monitor over the internet.

What are some indirect competitors of a landscaping business? -

Also, what are key success factors that must be done well in order for a landscaping business to do well and succeed?

Your biggest competitors (indirect) would be Home Depot, Lowe s and local nurseries. These places often offer Do-It-Yourself classes and help potential customers cut you out. Other indirect competitors would be lawn care companies who dabble in small projects. Landscaping is like any other business, you HAVE to market ALL THE TIME! If you don t market market market and continue to market even after you have jobs you ll stagnate and die off.
