You should visit The Small Business Administration (http://www.sba.gov/). This site will be your go-to site for understanding what is needed to start your own business. They provide instructions, guidelines and resources to get your business up and running.I know the thought of opening up a consignment shop may be in its very early stages, but you may want to check out or bookmark this site, http://www.l-trondirect.com/ once you get it up and running. My friend recently opened up a small retail store in town and he was looking for barcode scanners to track his inventory and purchasing point-of-purchase equipment, like those electronic signature pads you find at many stores near the checkout. This site was a huge help when it came to equipping the store to manage the product sold, capturing payment methods of his customers and whatnot. You may find this site useful in time.Best of luck to you!

How much money would i need to start my own consignment shop? -
What are some good ideas/methods for selling candy at school? -
Many schools are clamping down on candy and junk food at school, also on students selling stuff on the premises, so first be sure it is ok for students to sell stuff, specifically candy, if it is not a school organization s fundraiser.People are pinching pennies these days, so if you are buying at a retail store, chances are that you cannot mark up the candy enough to really make any money. You d be better off finding neighbors, etc, who need a babysitter, someone to help put up holiday decorations, wash/detail cars, rake leaves, and other sorts of services. You could be making enough to put away hundreds (even thousands) for college, not just one pair of pants.
Im starting my own clothing line I got designs just need to know how to make it grow and and get started? -
Have you made them up yet? If not you ll need to at least sew them up so you can see the real thing and get feedback. If you get honest feedback and it s positive, you should get in touch with some business advisors, I always recommend SCORE.org and download their checklists and see what s involved in starting a business. If you are only interested in the design / art part of the business then you may want to just have someone local make a few pieces to order and then sell them online and locally to boutiques. This will keep things smaller which will allow you to focus on the design instead of the operations. If you find you are doing well and want to expand you ll need to look into a cut sew factory and have them sew in quantity. I only wrote a few paragraphs, but there s alot to it. Good luck and I wish you success.
Have you tried hooking up with your local SBA office? the website is sba.gov. It s helped me in many area even getting a mentor.
