my grandma is thinking about opening a restaurant and she wants me and my sisters to work there for her but one of my sisters is 11 so i don t know if she can please let me know
I don t know where you are from but we owned a grocery and gas and restaurant all in one and our daughter worked for us. She followed the same rules the same as other teens we hired and they were some of the hardest workers we had. They come in with no bad habits so when you teach them how to do something they take it to heart and want to please you. I think you would be really pleased, but find out the rules in your state Summer 41
Maybeif its more under the table maybe coming in to help sweep or something like that but I believe as a full time job it is illegal. I think that you have to be 15/16 to be able to work a part time job (It depends on what state you live in) - It could also be different considering your grandma owns it and you would just be helping grandma out - I also think it matters if your sister is being paid or now. Anyhow just look online at the rules and regulations.
It might depend on where you live, either way though, you need to check your local labor laws. If nothing else, she can be a playground monitor or something that will not cause her to be in harms way. No cooking, serving, cash handling.... anyway, tell Grandma Good Luck! Opening a business is a great success story!
yes they can at a family place.
