Costumer cancel contract after 2 months? 10 points for best answer!!!!? -

My Mom and Dad own a small plumbing company ,they have a costumer that approved and signed work that needs to be done for a restaurant,he gave a deposit that way my dad can purchase material after everything was agreed (he changed his mind many times of what he wants) 2months later he decided he didn t want any work to be done and he wants his money back (the deposit to be returned) which is ok we told him we have to deduct about 5% because my dad already purchased material and he took time to travel to his location several times,The customer is now harassing over the phone and he wrote harassing letters we explain him we will take care of it ,but he wants the full amount back after he back up from a contract what can my mom and dad do?

Well hopefully you had something in the contract that included a penalty for backing out of the contract. If you did not, or if the contract specified that you would give a full refund on cancellation, then you are pretty much screwed. Either way, if you ask for the 5%, you are going to have a really angry customer. If you have it in writing, at least you will have the contractual authority to do it though. If you do not, you might just have to eat the cost and try to recover some of the price of the material.

I agree with Christian Brown. If there is a clause in the contract governing the cancellation or early termination of the contract, then you are okay. If not (put one in for future cases), them you may own the customer a full refund.

this is why your mom and dad should have the customer sign a contract with your mom and dad before anything is done. if you don t do it this way then things like this will happen, you might want to tell your parents to seek legal counsel to solve this problem. I know of a company that will help you in this situation. i can give you the details but not here. I don;t want to be accused of violating yahoo s answer policies./ but you can connect to me at jim_tru@yahoo.com this 37 yr old company is amazing and has solved alot of problems like yours./ but it is up to you

Im 15 about to be 16 and need a job ASAP, any suggestions? -

Hi, I am 15 about to be 16 next month. I need a job ASAP but really don t want to work at McDonald s, Everyone has been telling me that that s the only job I ll be able to get.I m in 11th grade but am home schooled so I can work whenever, work around their schedules.Any help?

Nothing wrong with McDonald s. It s a well thought of reference to have on your resume. It s not like you have to work there for life either :) Just think of it as a stepping stone. You ll get a fairly good range of skills from working in that environment.

You should have a look this method that I did. It works fast for me and I make good income every months. You can find more info from link below.

Car Wash business,questions? -

Ok im 19 and a student and i want to start small car wash business. My approach is unique, im going to bill customers monthly, 50$ and i will wash their car once a week. Including a car wash, with detail, vacuum and leather treatment. My questions are, do you think using their water hose and electricity will work? Also, how should I bill them? because they might not want to pay the 50 up front, and if I wait a month they might scam ME.

Always have them pay you after the detail is done or your gonna spend half your time chasing down and collecting payment if they even pay. And $50 for 4 wash/details per month?? Are you sure you don t mean $50 per wash? That s a more realistic number for a basic exterior wash/dry and a basic wipe down of interior and vacuum. Their water and electricity will work for you if you explain that to them up front. Or you could do what I do and use a No Rinse wash. Takes me 2 gallons of water to do entire vehicle. I just go to the store and buy 2 gallons of distilled water and use that. Also, letting them know you would only wash their vehicle with distilled water to prevent water spots makes you stand out. Just explain you will need an outlet to run your wet vac and ask them if that would be a problem. I ve never had a customer say no. Don t let that stop you from starting your business. If you have any questions or would like to know what products I use send me a message. Good luck to you.

No, using their stuff won t work. Not all would have outlets where it would be convenient for you. You d be better off investing in a pickup truck with water tank and a generator. THEN you run into the problem of the gray water discharge, as a lot of communities now have BIG concerns regarding the dirty water runoff into regular storm drains. As for your billing... You bill them PER WASH, but with a monthly discount of say, 10% (i.e. buy X washes now and get 10% off)And you are seriously undercharging, IMHO. Even running a car through the gas station wash is like 5-10. A premium car wash where you get the vacuum and hand-dry is $20. And there are at least 4 weeks per month. $50 a month is WAY TOO CHEAP. Another possibility: basic car wash package, premium car wash package, full detailing. $50 gets 3 basic washes (once per week) and 1 premium wash. You can give coupons for discounts on other packages or services. You will need insurance... in case of accidents and damages to customer vehicles, and some locations, such as company parking lots, may not allow you to wash there. Keep that in mind.

While your approach is unique to car washing, it s a pretty common business model for pool boys and lawn care type businesses. Try talking to some local lawn mowing or pool cleaning business owners in your community. They may have some type of contract, form, etc.

Can A Minor shop on Ebay? -

I am sixteen and I live in Canada. I love to shop online at places like ebay. Everytime I want something it asks for a credit card. Is there any type of credit card or any card that will allow me to shop online. I have full parental permission.

Go buy one of those Visa gift cardshttp://usa.visa.com/personal/cards/prepa

It s best to set up a PayPal account along with an eBay account. EBay owns paypal, so they re basically the same company.IF you don t have a paypal account, it will be a little harder to buy some things on ebay, because many sellers require the buyer to have a paypal account. But you really don t need paypal, but you DO need a credit card regardless. And to set up PayPal, you will also need a bank account. If i were you , i would get a prepaid visa gift card thing, skip the whole paypal thing, and try it that way.

yeaaaaaaaa anyone can go buy everything gurl :D

You can shop online with any credit or debit card. The merchant or seller does not care how old you are.

ask your parents to use their credit card. or buy a prepaid visa card

not unless your parents let you use there credit card. You need to be 18

I really need Names for a Dog bussiness? -

I am doing a dog bussiness and we make dog toys and dog beds and treats I need names i was wondering if we could include the word puppy or something like that. And i was wondering if you would be interested buying that because i don t know if i should even start it

Yes you should start. You never know until you try. Like Michael Dell, he was afraid to copy HP in making computers. But he did it anyways and now is one of the richest people in the world by copying HP business and started making computers. Then others copied too. But besides the point just try the business and people will buy with the right advertising. And I would name your dog business Puppy s best buy. Its a stupid name I know.

I suggest you to try project payday, simply because you don t need any money up front and you can start making money within minutes. I average around 3,500 dollars every month with it. Check it out at: http://tr.im/propayday http://tr.im/propayday

hows puppy stuff or doggy essentials

like dog express

Doggie World

how about Puffy Stuff yeah, I think that s it!

How can you check and see if an online business is real? (WADDELL FARMHOUSE)? -

I found a online company that has a large selection of garden seed at lower prices than our local farmer s market, but was wary of giving my credit card info. Has anyone ever heard or bought from the Waddell Farmhouse?

I have used this company many times and have been very pleased. They always call when they receive my order and also when they mail it. After you make your first order everything is 5% off and make sure you find a free shipping coupon that will save you even more. I live in Texas and they ship from Florida so the turnaround has averaged about 12 days.

Check them out on better business bureau. Make sure they are a legitimate company and whether or not they have any customer complaints.A great deal of companies now offer payments through PayPal as well. A benefit to paying it through PayPal is they don t actually get any credit card info from you. You just authorize a one time transfer through PayPal. Plus, PayPal does offer services for you to get a refund if you are unhappy with the product or don t receive it.

Most of it comes from word of mouth and checking like you are doing. You can also check Dave s Garden Watchdog. I do know this is a good company and I have ordered from them. They are a very small seed company compared to others on the web. Buy small first and see how your experience is.

You re far better off using just a credit card than Paypal. Your credit card offers you far more protection from fraud and poor merchandise than Paypal.

I wouldn t take my chances with these little companies, you will be better off going to big companies like Harris Seeds, Park s Seeds or Burpee then you won t have to worry.

You may have seen it but it seems quite helpfulhttp://www.charity-commission.gov.uk/reg

When do you think we should start outsourcing teachers? -

Have they become so expensive that we need to consider less costly alternatives?

Teachers are expensive ? I wonder what world you re living on. Teachers are one of the least paid / hardest working people around, and so critical to our future I wonder why they aren t being paid MORE so more people would go into the field. American Federation of Teachers (AFT) says in 2006-7 average teacher is being paid $51009. That s before the crisis . That s about on par with a decent executive assistant s salary, a job with far less scrutiny by a TON of people, from school to government to parents, and far less off-job hours (homework grading, etc.).

Hey why not start outsourcing students.

What is the best Phone service for my Business, I make Long distance calls? -

I need to make out bound phone calls, I will need an 800 number a good Carrier, I will for sure be making a lot of long distance calls. What s the best? Magic Jack? vonage? Pros Cons? And what about 800 number carriers? thanks!

I personally recommend Nextiva or Packet8 for personal and small business VOIP. Both offer reasonable fees, and good quality VOIP services. You will need a broadband connection, but generally your total fees even with an 800 number are included in a flat rate.

I would recommend using a service like Grasshopper, Virtual PBX or OneBox. These types of services are designed for small businesses and are relatively cheap (starting around $10 a month). You can get an 800 number, a certain number of minutes and pretty cool features like call forwarding, custom greetings and voicemail extensions if you add employees. Plus you wouldn t have to worry about long distance charges.

any regular phone account set us as a BUSINESS account is going to be infinitely more expensive than a residential line - you pretty much have to pay by the minute and with 800 # s you pay by the minute for all INCOMING callsmagicjack required a broadband internet connection to work - not sure if - domestic long distance is free - I doubt you can connect an 800 # to it though

If hired as a independent contractor to deliver mail, can I file unemployment after 10 mths of work.? -
