Im a single mother trying to do part-time direct selling business, how do I manage my time? -

I have 7 children, 5 schooling 2 college students. I am a teacher, so I can be active for my business during holidays. Next month, school starts again. I m afraid I may neglect my children. Do you have any suggestions?

If you don t have a dedicated phone number for your business, get one. Then put a message on your answering machine saying that you re out of the office but will get back with them asap and that their business is important bla bla bla.Build it into your customers and your potential-customers mind that it may be a little bit before you get back to them. If you start off that way, there s no surprise later, and every time you get right back to them, they ll feel special. You ll also need to get your kids to understand that you work at home. And, since it is work, they need to give you some time to get it done. Kids seem to think that if you re home, you are available to their every whim. It will take some training and persistence, but they ll get used to it.Let them know that as soon as you make $[insert dollar amount here] you re all going to [insert fun activity or purchase here]. Recruit them into helping by handing out your business card to everyone they meet. My 12-year-old does it for me. By being involved, they ll take some personal ownership of the business and expect you to work at it.Whatever you promise them, you have to deliver, though. Otherwise they won t believe you next time and will feel cheated.

Get a planner with a good calendar. Mark down the times you need to do essential things like your job, do things with/for your family, household tasks, time you need to spend taking care of yourself (doctor s dentist appointments, excercise, etc) spending time with friends, etc. Take a look at the hours you have left and use those hours to schedule your business work hours . Although you are probably a very busy person you will probably find some hours in there that you can use that you are currenly using to watch TV, play video games, surf the internet, shopping, etc. Those are the hours you will probably need to use for your business. You may also want to enlist the help of your kids to help more with household chores or maybe depending on their ages and what your business involves they may be able to help you with your business. Can they help you file, print labels, take catalogs or brochures to your neighbors, help you put together mailing packets, etc?Good luck in your business!

Push back your work to as late as possible. Spend time with them during the day and do your work after 5pm. They get your day you get your evening.

Is my boss (of a small company) lying about my cost of health insurance? -

I started working for a small company (7-9) people this April. When I became eligible for health insurance (After 90 days) I was told directly that I would pay $175 a month. It is only for myself, a single female with no pre-existing conditions Have never even broken a bone! Heard from a new employee that other employees much newer than myself are paying next to NOTHING for insurance. My boss and co-workers point blank lied to my face! The insurance is through Anthem, how do I find out how much I SHOULD be charged monthly? (Without ratting out my fellow employee) I really need to know if he is playing favorites and trying to screw me over, I need to go to the doctor badly but I cannot afford this lie he is telling me. Please, what should I do? This feels completely unfair and I am only 21 and new to the whole job with benefits .

Really depends upon the coverage, but that is a fair priceYou can go to ehealthinsurance.com (I don t work for them) to see what a policy would cost where you live.Make sure you request coverage comparable to what your employer is offering

Working as a process executive in an international bank is a BPO job? -

BPO = usiness process outsourcing (BPO) is the act of giving a third-party the responsibility of running what would otherwise be an internal system or service. For instance, an insurance company might outsource their claims processing program or a bank might outsource their loan processing system. Other common examples of BPO are call centres and payroll outsourcing.Typically, companies that are looking at business process outsourcing are hoping to achieve cost savings by handing the work to a third-party that can take advantage of economies of scale by doing the same work for many companies. Or perhaps the cost savings can be achieved because labor costs are lower due to different costs of living in different countries. In exchange for the potential cost savings, the company in question must relinquish control over an aspect of their business which explains why business process outsourcing is often reserved for non-critical, non-core type of work.Hope this helped you: All the Best!.Jereth

Can officers of my newly created s corp be opted out from payroll? -

my just created a new s corp and elected 2 officers. is it mandatory by law to run their payroll? can something be done about that? they are just helping voluntarily.

They don t necessarily have to be paid - it s not mandatory. But if they re doing something useful and devoting a significant amount of time to the company, you may want to consider doing something for them - maybe some kind of deferred payroll arrangement so they get paid in the future when the company has money. If they aren t compensated for their work, either now or in the future, this can lead to resentment and disagreements within the company - something that you certainly don t want to happen. - CPA

I have Power of Attorney - Can I take my Husband off Business? -

My Husband is currently deployed for a year, I run the business, I have for the three years we ve had it. We have a lot of issues, one being he hasn t touched me in seven years, yes, I said seven years! Now I found out a girl employee has been sending him packages and emails, among other things. We ve talked about divorce and he told me that he wants to sell the business when we divorce. I left a high paying job and devote all my time to this business, if we sell the business, I would have to start from the ground up and the job market sucks. I have POA over all personal business while he is gone, can I take him off the business completely? If, I can take him off, will I still have to split the business profits or partnership with him if we divorce?

You can legally have him removed, BUT will have to compensate him the equivalent of his share of the business, be that immediately, or over a period of time.My STRONG advice is to get a divorce lawyer to handle this. You want to do this so when 10 yrs passes down the road and your business suddenly hits it big.. then he CANT come after you for more $$$...

Where I can find online project/job? -

I am software engineer, with 2.5 years of experience in web Development.I am looking for some projects by which I can earn money.I have a small team apart from job (we all work in different companies)we are planning to start some business .......... since we don t have proper contacts we are not able to get projects .........We are ready to take any kind of small to medium size projects

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online.

You could make 40-80 just making websites/blogging/Development using Java PHP , dreamweaver, im doing it now and Im crap at art.It s just that I know what key words to put in and what websites to host it on. Where you are a graphic artist I think it would be the best thing to do website blogging. And before you dive in not knowing what your doing , you need to join a forum/clubs .(Im not promosing butt loads of cash) In these forums you can talk to people who make thousands every day and in clubs you can get taught how to do it and when you ready you can make money yourself . The best club at the moment is www.MoneyCashCapital.com Im not saying its going to make you a millionaire but checke it out , its a really good money making site .

What are the chances of importing bamboo products into the US market and sucseed my business? -

i want to start my own business

You certainly can do this. There are 4 ways:First is to be an importer and have others sell for you at the retail level (this is where you really make $). But you need get suppliers on-line before you do anything. That also means you have to be able buy bulk containers (those semi tractor trailer containers) from China or Indonesia. That means you need cash or credit from a bank as the containers have to be paid up front or at port. After you set up all of that (don t need any money at this point, just get everything set up). Then you have to go find retailers to buy from you (the really hard part). They will want at least 100% markup (so if retail is $10 they get it for $5 - remember they often have to sell at a discount or on sale) so you need to calculate the prices you need to make this worthwhile. I wouldn t advise this unless you had previous experience or could hire a professional who knows how to sell wholesale. The second way is to buy in USA from a wholesaler and set up a nice retail shop. This is very expensive. The third way is to buy bulk wholesale and go door to door to merchants trying to sell your items - maybe put them in shops on consignment. Again, expensive and low profit unless you get in a lot of locations. The fourth way is to make arrangements to buy wholesale and sell only through the web. Have the supplier direct ship for you so you don t handle any merchandise at all. You make less money because they do all the work, but you also have low start up costs. Over time, you can see what sells and maybe graduate into one of the other sales arenas.Bamboo is a sustainable resource (there are different kinds of bamboo and the Pandas eat a special species not used for making products). The more things made from bamboo the better! I certainly encourage bamboo industries! I also encourge small business and I think you have selected a timely product. But like most things, it will take some investment on your part. I hope you are able to get something going!

I see in walmart bamboo salad bowls and serving dishes and they look very nice. The problem I hear about bamboo is when people talk about china s bears, that the bears may go extinct because of the lack of bamboo for food. So I d be concerned that at some point you d have problem finding materials to make your product or lack of it being sold. But while there are already products made, you can of course sell those. You might wish to diversify.
