Why do employers always get penalised in every way? -

I have an employee at the moment who has been very rude in how she addresses me on two occassions. For me to discipline her I have to write to her first to advise of a meeting that might lead to disciplinary action and she has to be given sufficient time to prepare for the meeting and she can bring a colleague with her. Then I have to have the meeting then advise her I will write to her to advise her of the outcome of the meeting then I have to hold another meeting with her to advise her of the outcome. I think the law is extremely unfair to employers. I am a very easy going employer, I employ 7 women in childcare I am very flexible with holidays, days of as they all have children. I listen to any concerns they have and resolve them very quickly keeping everyone happy. I hate confrontation and I worry a lot about things like this. I have been stressed all weekend so far in relation to this and cant sleep ie posting question on yahoo at 2am. How do I cope with the stress, I have pains in my chest and am struggling with breathing.

I know exactly what you are talking about, I had the same problems with a member of staff and had to go through all the procedures of writing letters and meetings. it s a lengthy process and takes time but you have to do it by rules ( employment law ) and it can be very frustrating but if you don t do it right they can take you to an employment tribunal and you will lose which will result in a fine and compensation. stick to the procedure as laid out in your disciplinary manual supplied by UK government. and you will be able to terminate their employment with no problems.as for the pains you are experiencing in your chest this can be caused by the all the stress you have to put up with in dealing with this problem and lack of sleep, you didn t mention your age but as with any chest pains go see your doctor and get it checked out.and i make you right the employer is penalised in every way it seems like there is a new law forced on employers every few months, well that s a labour government for you.I sympathise with you, it s hard enough running a business today without having to through all this hassle in your work place, good luck.

Where do you operate? In the US, you would not have to do this. If you are in the US you can:- fire her immediately the next time you think she is disrespectful (it s called employment at will).OR- you can tell her immediately, that future actions like that will result in termination. You don t need to wait for her to prepare and you don t need to allow her to bring a colleague.OR - or you can give her a written notice, that future actions like that will result in termination. You don t need to wait for her to prepare and you don t need to allow her to bring a colleague.

You are the boss! You need to be a bit tougher. It s lovely that you are so easy-going and good to your employees, but in any walk of life there are always those that will take advantage. Some employees will really appreciate your leniency and will give that little bit more because they appreciate it. Others will take advantage - when they do you need to act swiftly to stop it before it gets out of hand. There is no need to get upset about what has happened. You are the boss and there is no excuse for this woman being so rude to you. You have to abide by the employers code of conduct and do everything by the book, but do not feel bad about it. You are obviously very approachable as an employer so the woman should have spoken to you in private about any issues she has, and not been rude to you.

How to make money at home free without any scams legitimately? -

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people

There are a few ways. First, if you re a writer or can write, you can look up a few freelancer jobs, like oDesk.com or getafreelancer.com. A way to be sure to make money (albeit slowly, but legitimately) on ChaCha.com, which is a text answering service. They employ contract work to the people answering the texts, but only a few cents per question. Once you re used to the system, people can make between $2 to $7 an hour. A lot of people can make about $5 and hour. Supposedly, there are some who can make $9 an hour, but I have the suspicion they aren t going their jobs right, and would be penalized by ChaCha...anyways!I ve included a site that gives some ways to make money here: http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Make-MoneIt takes searching to find the ones that work for you, but when you find one, stick to it, and you ll be sure to make money. don t allow yourself to flitter between things - you won t make any money that way, and then you ll just get frustrated. Good luck!

What does an entrepreneur do at an average day of work? -

I m writing a job profile on entrepreneurs. I d appreciate a very detailed description of what an entrepreneur does in an average day at work from when he wakes up until he goes to sleep. It would be great if a real entrepreneur could answer my question.

1. Start with the most urgent task to do.2. Continue with the most important ones3. set goals and tasks for the day to all direct subordinates4. checking the progress on the tasks given the previous days5. tackling the new urgent tasks that appeared since the morning6. meetings with suppliers, customers, staff7. bank payments8 preparing the task list for tomorrow

OK i have 10 yrs experience heres what i do i wake up go grab a cup of coffe go online check my e mails login to my mebers area check to see who joined lately call them and ask them if it s good time to talk a minutes or make an appointement to call back later on to discuss the business with them and mentor them along !Then i start advertsing for a few hours about 3 ! contact my current members give them more resources tell them when the next webinar is and what s happening !then go out and do whatever i feel like doing for few hours that day !come home eat dinner go online play games check e mails send out more messages and ads and just have fun !actual work time per day is about 5 hours !

Loans or Grants for starting a home renovation business? -

Hi, I m wondering if there are any government grants, or loans available to people with less than great credit. I d prefer the grant of course, even if it s something I d have to pay back, but loan info would be appreciated too. I know every phase of home construction from the ground up to the roof, and I d really like to start up my own business where I buy houses, renovate, and sell them. I know I d be successful if I could just find a means to get started, does anyone know of any good way to get started? Thanks

You will see a lot of things online about getting grants. They are all scams. They will request a fee up front - and then you will get denied.Grants are only given out if you are destitute, only through organizations like the salvation army or united way - they will have the contacts to the goverment agencies.Grants are also given to people starting up a non-profit organization.Don t go for online loans - again - they will take your money - and you will get denied./

You need to start with a business plan. In RI were have the SBA - Small Business Administration and SCORE They help with obtaining small business Loans. But first I would talk to a CPA to advise you on the right structure for your business and what is available in your area. They are also familiar with Gov t grants that are now being given. Economy is bad hopefully you will qualify for one or more of the programs available. Talk to a CPA first most will not charge you for the consultation thinking they will get you as a client. Which being in business you will need one anyway. Any grants or loans given require you to submit financials periodicly.Good Luck
