What Merchant Credit Card Processing Services Do I Need To Accept Payments Online? -

I m starting an internet business and will need to accept credit card payments. Should I use something like paypal or should I just get my own merchant account and payment gateway? From my initial testing, my sales look very promising and I m expecting a lot of business.

Hi. I had the same decision to make when I was starting my online business so I know what problems you are facing. At first I used paypal, but then my sales were increasing very quickly and I knew I needed to switch to a merchant account/payment gateway setup to handle the larger volume.I came across this website, http://www.electronictransferservice.com and they really helped me learn a lot. There s plenty of information on their pages and I discovered so much about how all this works with processing credit cards. Their FAQ section is definitely worth a look.I m not recommending you sign up with them in anyway, but I did contact them and was able to get all my questions about merchant credit card processing answered from a real live person. That was pretty cool.I eventually went with a different company, but at least I was armed with much more knowledge than when I first started.I m thankful to say that my business and sales have been doing well and making the switch was, to me, a good choice. You ll have to determine for yourself if and when you will make the switch. One thing though, if your volume of sales is not enough to cover the costs of processing fees, then I would go with paypal and just wait till it does.Hope that helps and good luck!

How Can I Try To Make Some Extra Income If Im Already Working? -

I work 4 days a week with a schedule that runs Sun, Mon, Wed, and Fri. I only have days off in between my working days to help recover because i m a Massage Therapist. Things are very slow right now and work is not very steady being based on commission only and all. I m not looking to do house calls and i m not sure I d really want to do anything else that involves massage so I can keep my break in between days and not wear myself out. I AM looking to see what else I could do on the side to make some extra income? I m up for anything that would continue to keep me busy or even something that would give me a good work out! Does anyone know of any ideas or what is out there, opportunity wise? Thank you! =D

Hi,One thing that pops up in my mind is, why not make a video CD of what you already do? What I mean is, you are a Massage Therapist. What is it you do? How is it done? Do you know of ways in which I can take care of myself to help me? What can I do to unstress myself? Can I give myself my own massage (not quite sure the right phrase but hope you know what I mean)?See what I m trying to say? You have a very unique skill so why not think about sitting down and write a bit about what you do know and are good at. Is it possible that people would pay to learn how to take care of themselves by YOU showing them a way to prevent mishaps? Many years ago I spent hours online teaching others how to print t-shirts, mousepads, etc... for free in the various forums and groups. On day someone said to me Why not sell what you know ? I said what do you mean ? Their answer was You are giving away valuable information for free. There are people who will pay for what you know, especially if it helps them print .Point made. I setup my video camera and using the camcorder, made videos that showed, step-by-step, how to print t-shirts, mousepads, coasters, ceramic tile, magnets, wall clocks, etc.... Been selling the video cd s on Ebay since 2003. Finally started my own online school offering both online courses plus the video cd s.Is it possible that you can sit down and write about what you know and how you may be able to relate this to massage customers you will never meet? Do they mostly have the same questions or body complaints or concerns?Maybe make a list of the most common ailments/questions and start writing about each one. Maybe get a dummy or relative/spouse, to be in the video where you show how yo do this or how they (the person who bought your video) can massage or fix this ache themself?I apologize for not using the right words but I hope you see what I m trying to say.Is it possible for you to put on a video CD, information that people need to make themselves feel better?Hope this inspires you.Fred

EBAY! buy and sell, people actually make livings off that. you get to stay inside your own house, in a chair and sell what ever you want for a profit. or work at McDonald s =) (that was a joke)

there s always Avon, Mary Kay and Tupperware

One of the best ways to make extra money and even be green at the same time is to go around frequently to your family members, friends, fellow school parents, and neighbors and collect as many used cell phones and ipods as possible and then visit: http://www.cellitused.com and sell the phones to this company. If you send them phones every week then you can probably make $400 + a month. It also looks good because are trying to help the environment as well. Most people just throw their used cell phones in a closet, drawer, or trash anyways. When I do it I send emails out to everyone I know and even go door to door in my neighborhood. Most people are more than willing to get rid of their old phones and electronics. Its worth a shot, it works for me as some extra spending money. Plus there is no risk involved. You can email the company and ask for suggestions or have them answer any of your questions.

I work from home with a 24 yr. old wellness company and I love it!!! This company is debt free and has grown tremendously over the years...and sales are projected to double in the next year or two! Plus, it has earned 2 awards with the BBB, something that was very comforting to me when I first started! It sounds like you are someone who is health consious, and I love the fact that this company offers natural, safe, and effective products. However, you do NOT sell the products, purchase inventory, or go door to door...nothing like that! Plus when you get started, you get a free website, ongoing training, and amazing support! I absolutely love the fact that I can help others reach their goals and dreams while helping myself, and make some extra money! There s potential to make really good income over time but you DO have to take some time to build your business (so not a get rich quick scheme!). I ve tried my fair share of home based businesses in the past, and this is the only one that is actually working! Plus, it s so simple, not all this extra paperwork, product stocking, etc! It s fun too! If you want more info, jot me a quick email and I ll get back to you ASAP! :-)

Since you are a massage therapist promoting wellness and beauty, why not try selling on the side. There is this one person in this online community that buys silver jewelry from Thailand and asks salon to display them to get sales. Maybe you can do that too.My wife is selling fashion jewelry pieces we order from the Philippines and she gets around 38% markup. We started ordering last May 2009 and we are waiting for our 7th order this week. I remember my wife s first order was $386.00. I was extremely worried about the money we sent out that I felt so relieved when we got the first package after 6 days. The items were so beautiful and not even one of my wife s customers were dissatisfied. We live here in Wisconsin by the way. There s nothing to lose, only to gain. You can check out her website and see if your friends and customers thru referrals are interested. I am not sure if her advertisement on USnetads.com is still there but that s where my wife found her website. You can check it out and ask for photos and pricelist if you are interested. Show her designs to your friends and managers and see what they have to say. The guy who posted his thoughts about making a video is also a good suggestion.Allan Leafhttp://www.theBeautyandtheBeads.multiply

Where can I find a good supplier (farmer) of Connecticut shade tobacco leaves? -

I am looking for a long term supplier or grower of tobacco leaves, specifically connecticut shade. I would prefer someone from outside the US but would consider a domestic company if the price is right. If you know anyone or could assist me in finding the right company please help.

I have some seed for shade tobacco but I got it late this year so I didn t grow any of it this season. I suggest you visit the following web site and ask there: http://www.howtogrowtobacco.com

How do I sell my collection of paperback books quickly on ebay in 24hrs? -

Are there any tips on ebay to sell quickly like in 24 hrs?1. I lowered the price by $502. I offered free shipping with UPSWhat should I do now? Should I continue lowering the price? or just wait?

Paperback books do not retain their value at all - you d be best first investigation how much they are really worth by looking up those titles in paperback online (eBay or abebooks) or checking out your local used book store. The vast majority of paperback novels sell for on average just 50 cents, and non-fiction trade around the $2-7 range depending on the subject, rarity, and condition of the books. That of course assumes they aren t signed by the author or anything. All you can do is wait and see, but I worry that since you ve dropped the price by $50 you my have priced them for a lot more than they re actually worth or will sell for.

if they aren t books one person is going to want, there is nothing you can do - even if it sells in 24 hrs doesn t mean you will have the cash in your hand in 24 hrs - it may take a day or two for the buyer to pay thru Paypal and if you want that cash in your bank acct - that s another 2-3 day wait - you may never sell that lot of books - a very low percentage of all ebay auctions actually get a buyer

1.) Promote your item on free sites (that pertain to books, maybe even a chat room about your book series.) 2.) When you sell your item you can list the duration you want to sell it for (if you ve already posted your item go to - revise item - under online auction there s a pull down menu under duration choose - 1 day). Then add a line to subject to get buys motivated - Sale ends in 24 hours! In your description add something like Great gift, buy now to get before the holidays 3.) Always remember to be descriptive as possible and use key words that people may search, this will make your listing come up in more searches. 4) Then wait, most people bid within the last hour (a lot of people use bidding software that bids on their behalf at the last second.)Good luck and happy holidays!

Free Shipping is good. Add the Buy it Now feature so they can quickly finish the transaction and you can get paid.

If the company I work for is a quot;new companyquot;, I have an Important ?..10 PTS BEST ANSWER!? -

Ok..so the company I work for is a new company . They switched to a new company and pretty much took me with them but it s the same employees, and they had the clients sign a release to go to the new company so its pretty much the same clients. Heres my question..they are accusing me of taking cash from a client which I didn t do (the guy wants me out of there). I signed the receipt for the client and gave it to the old boss at the OLD company. They owe me 8k from the OLD company and said they won t give that to me, so can they come after me and fire me for taking money from a client which I didn t do and regardless, with cash, there is no paper trail. I am the one that asked my new boss about it cuz I was worried about the client. Since it happened at the old company, can they fire me or sue me? PLEASE HELP. 10 PTS BEST ANSWER! Thank you sooooo much!

Kind of getting confused with the new new old new... but they need to prove that you took the money from the client. Emails are legal documents. If you have email anywhere saying you are owed the 8k then you can sue them.. what was the release for? that any prior arrangements from the old are null?what money did they say you took? and if there s no paper trail.. and they fire you you can sue for lack of evidence... I would think.. I haven t found anything to back this up but where I work you can t say you did something unless you can produce an email

How do I make a clothing business? -

I am a 13 year old girl wanting to make a clothing/accessories business. I want it to be an on-line, home-based business. But I don t know what to do/ how much money I would need. Please, please HELP ME!!

The first thing is that you ll need an adult to go into business with you. You, as a minor, cannot sign legally binding contracts, which is what you ll need to do in order to open bank accounts, open lines of credit with suppliers, etc, etc. Or you can wait five years, and in that time try to design things, and make them one by one, and try to sell them in person. Most people are cutting back on necessities these days, and have very little disposable income. If you don t know what disposable income is, you need to take some business and economics courses.

my peer Lynn is on the money; you must have a parent work with youby law.while you wait for their permission, get other permission to visita community college that has classes in FASHION MERCHANDISING.I will help you a bit and so can the students in those specificclasses.

I want to start a small T-shirt business but dont know where to go to get grants for the start up.? -

Does anyone know where to begin, the first steps I need to take. I ve designed all my own shirts and have a printing company that will print them for me but I just don t have the money to start.

Give up on grants as you will grow old waiting on one. Anyone who has taken any business classes knows that you do not need capital (so I am going to guess you have not). What you need is sales (or a promise there of). There are 2 ways to do this. Say you have an order for 100 shirts, you can request 25% down and this will cover your production cost. Another way is to take the contract for 100 shirts to the bank. They will see what the profit will be (it should be about 75%) and they will give you a loan for 25% of it. You make the shirts give the printer and suppliers their cut (from the 25%). You then collect the outstanding balance (normally happens in monthly cycles so you will have to make 1 loan payment) pay off the bank keep the rest. With your next order you now have capital to do it without a loan (tho I would always require 25% down).

I googled gov t grants and on source tells me(in Texas) that such grants are non existent due to lack of fundshowever this still is and has been for beau coup years the Small Business Administration that makes loans to small businesses, however, my past experience has been than unless you are asking for $1 Million loan they are not available $1 Million is considered small business

You should start with one of these sites that gives free t-shirt businesses. What you ll have to do is upload your design and market them on the business site they provide to you and when a customer purchases one you ll get a percentage. Try this one zazzle.com. This way you ll make what you ll need to start your own plus you ll know if you have a winning design before you invest money into it.

I found all of the details and tricks to starting and running a small business at the link posted below.Copy and paste to browserhttp://84c278x23umj7x3lzvohq89td0.hop.clickbank.net/You will find exactly what you need for your small business here.

Where do you live? I don t have a straight answer for you, but it may help somebody who does.
