How to make an eBay auction for one specific person and keep others from bidding? -

I m trying to sell an item to a person, but we want to do it on eBay for protection and I need help on how to make the auction invisible to other people. How would one go about in doing this?

That isn t an auction, it s called selling someone something .

Both of you must have valid Pay Pal accounts*you both must have valid bank accounts, and get the accounts activated completely before any transactions take place. You as the seller need to see how long after they pay it takes to actually get your hands on the cash, and the amount of fees and how the fee structure is set up, as well as set up the Ebay account for a seller. Make sure you sell with delivery confirmation, so you can track, that the post man delieverd it, thats like .75 cents, but you must use a certain type of shipping, call the post office to ask. But do the delievery confirmation, many people claim they didnt recieve the item, adn your both protected this way, you that you actually sent it, and them that they got it. List the ad in the weird section they have, look at the homepage and scroll down the list of catagories to the see all catagories and pick one of the weird sections.

So you don t want to get a higher price for the item if someone else is willing to pay more? If you try ending the auction just after that person bids, you d better hope that the transaction goes smoothly as if your buyer has an issue then eBay is not so green at the auction business that they won t realize what you ve done. That person could end your eBay business if they are not satisfied and complain.

As your the seller you can place the item on sale and tell the purchaser the exact time and make it a buy it now option. Its possible that someone could still bid on it, but maybe you could do it when your both in the same place. Putting it up for auction and selling it instantly. Good Luck!

You could put a Buy it Now price on it. I assume you have a price in mind. But someone could come and buy it first. You could do an auction with your agreed upon price and then end the auction early. Select the option to sell to the bidder at the last auction price. That s probably your best bet.

I don t think that s possible. It would defeat the whole premise of what eBay is and does.If your buyer wants eBay protection, tell him to bid the amount agreed to and set you reserve price similarly. If no one outbid him, the merchandise is his. If he s outbid, well it s his own damn fault.

jana is correct. that s what to doand inform your Buyer when you will list itTotally legit to do it this way with ebay and you will both have protection (so long as you send recorded/special delivery-as with all transaction that need protection)

Try using the company Etsy.comIt is much like Ebay but there is a feature called Alchemy where you can request a custom item. That would work...I sell on it and love it....Website:http://www.etsy.comMy shop:http://www.etsy.com/shop/Hischild

you cant, you can do a buy it now, tell the guy who wants it and hope for the best. you can revoke the item if another person buys it but you cannot make an item invisible

illegaljust use palpal for the money transfer and the seller gets all the protection, he needs.

immpossible

pay alot

Ending an auction on Ebay with a bid? -

I Don t want to sell my item anymore that I put up for auction, it already has one bid, but no money has been exchanged or anything, is it posible to remove it before it gets sold?thank you

Yes, but you have to cancel the person s bid before you can end the listing. If you search the Help pages for cancel bid and/or end listing early , it will tell you how to do this. Its not complicated, you just have to give a reason why you want to cancel the bid and a reason why you want to end the listing. I think you can just put error in listing or something like that.

Need ID by 30th oct. what can i get quickly? -

need ID by 30th oct. what can i get quickly?i have a problem there s a postal strike and i need to get a citizen card or passort or any ID real quick..what can i get quickly? it s id for a club im going to and already bought the ticket. anyone got a bright idea cause times running out. thanx

Well, thanks to the strike you wont get any ID in time. So the only other way is too borrow a Friends ID that looks a bit like you, or anyone willing to lend you theirs. Another thing I noticed when I go out clubbing is that if your a girl, and dress sexily (short skirt, tight top etc) the bouncers barely ID you.Only stuff i can think of...hope it helps

Ehhh... I think you re SOL, but when you order your ID I m pretty sure they give you a temporary paper that is used in place of your ID for the meantime. That should be enough for whatever club you re trying to get into. At least that s the way it works in Texas with your driver s license, I m not too sure on just state IDs.

Veteran Purchasing a Franchise? -

Hi, I am about to leave the military and would like to take advantage of the Small Business benefits offered to disabled veterans. The VA works with the SBA to secure loans that require not much down, but I don t know exactly what it would take for this scenario. I don t have a whole lot of capital to work with right now other than my savings and retirement which is under $10,000. I would like to know about different ways I can go about purchasing a franchise. Here s what I m looking at:1-800-GOT-JUNK? has some territories they want to franchise and they advertise $142,000 liquid capital required. They seem to have some good VetFran opportunities listed here:http://franchise.org/1-800-GOT-JUNK_franSo basically, I own a home that I owe $116,000 on and should be work $135,000 to 150,000. I can scrape together up to $10,000. If i can borrow the rest then that s what I d like to do. What are my options here?1) Can the bank put a lien on my house for what I need and if so would that require refinancing or anything that like?2) Can I borrow the money they need to secure the loan from other sources? I could probably pull a personal loan out for $20,000 if needed.Any input would help me out a lot, thanks!

You have a few different options, Josh, depending on several factors, including your credit rating. For starters, many franchisors offer FranVet and minority incentives. This article that I wrote deals specifically with franchise financing:http://ezinearticles.com/?5-Top-FranchisFeel free to read other articles (35 in all) that I have written that discuss all aspects of franchising:http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Cory_BaLet me know if I can help you further.

Another idea is to contact 800-GOT-JUNK and see if they have a lender that they deal with on a regular basis. As a Franchisor, we ve recently found a company that came highly recommended. Diamond Financial. We looked at a lot of different lenders, but Diamond has been very upfront and quick to respond to questions. We like that. So, that s who we offer up to our potential Franchisees. We get nothing but a hearty handshake for sending them business, by the way! :)Best of luck,Darren HolmquistEdgemaster Franchising, Inc.

Trademark name question - If quot;Peachquot; is trademarked can I use quot;PeachGoddessquot; - or is that a violation? -

NO - I don t actually want to use that - its just an example.

If your PeachGoddess will not result in loss of Peach s earnings, then it will not be a violation. I have here a link that might be helpful to you. Please check it out.

What type of contracts can a small business person expect to be involved in? -

Depends on the business. If you provide a service (wedding photography, catering, car repair, etc) you will want a form contract to use to negotiate with clients. These will have blank spaces to be filled in for each customer. Advertising contracts with broadcast/print media, mailers and other advertising methods (billboards, park benches, etc) will be provided by the company handling your advertising. If you are selling memberships to a spa or fitness center, you will want a form contract outlining all the rules and requirements.

Contracts with the devil, errr i mean a lawyer usually.

-Non-disclosure agreements-Royalty agreements (less common)
