If I was going to start a landscaping business would I need education or a degree in something? -

I m doing this for a project. I know you first need a business license and insurance. The business is ONLY cutting grass and packing leaves(not really landscaping), and in the winter snowplowing. Would I need to obtain a degree or could I start right of the bat in this case?

Hi Rob, No you don t need a degree, however if you want to study more about running a lawn care business there is a free online class here.http://www.gopherforum.com/index.php?pagIt s a part of the Gopher Lawn Care Business forum.http://www.gopherforum.comDepending on your area, you might not even need a business license. But you would need insurance, especially if you want to perform services for commercial properties.I hope this helps!

No, this kind of manual labor doesn t require any degrees or education. However, if you should try to branch out into tree trimming - that s a discipline that requires a degree. Arborists are very vain about that.

No need for a degree. You can start right away. You might want to work for another landscaping company so you can gain experience and the knowledge to start yourself.

How much can u expect to sell with avon as an e rep? -

signed up as an online rep for avon. Is it worth it and how much does having your web page on the avon site increase your business earnings ?

avon is MLM; you can t expect to sell any to the general public.I suggest you stay away from all illicit operations andstick to ethical businesses that service the public.

Avon has always been a face-to-face kinda business. The people who i know that have tried to make it work on the net have not done very well. It s about developing relationships with people in your community and maintaining those relationships. That s the sales end. I never recruited anybody and I sold Avon for several years so I m not sure how it winds up in the MLM category.

You could probably do well with being an e-rep but don t forget that selling in person brings in a lot more money than waiting for people to go to your website. There are many ways to advertise your site online locally that you should look in to. Try classified sites, merchant circle, business listings, google maps listing, etcDon t forget that you can customize your site so that people will want to shop with you.

What companies are good to apply for in the IT field? -

I graduate next year in the field of IT Technology/Networking and I just want to know if anyone knows some good companies I can apply for or will they look for me?

Companies usually don t need to look around. I would recommend you to apply everywhere including headhunters. For fun, I would also apply for Google, Microsoft, IBM, and other big name corporations. Who knows, you might get hired at Google!
