Why isnt this working .?.? -

I just made a new website at sitebuilder sponsored by optimum.I just finished but I wanted to add a game to it. I tried copy/pasting the code on my website but no game shows up. All that s there is the code. Does anyone know why this is happening?

firstly double check to make sure it s not something simple like having a character missing from the beginning or end of the code as that would cause it to display as just code rather than the game.then check to see if the sitebuilder has a html module which you should insert the code into, i use microsoft office live to build my websites and they have introduced html modules and if you insert any code without a module it just displays as the code and not the actual item you re trying to insert!also get some totally different code off the net, some glitter text or something, and try and insert that. if it does the same thing you know it s prob something to do with your website settings or the sitebuilder, likewise if it shows correctly you ll know there s a problem with the code you were trying to put in - maybe it s just not compatible, or has an error in it.hope you get it sorted!Rebecca

How to start a business with electronics? -

Hello, Ive been thinking of some businesses to start. And One of the ones that i have come up with is like a business like dell or apple. Basically i would like to create Computers, it would kindof be like asus or something similar to that. Im not really sure where to start, what would it take, (money of course). Eventually i would like to create my own mp3 player, mainly i would like to create my own electronics and produce and sell them. Thanks

Great that you want to start your own business but I would suggest something different as computers are dropping in value and use that your margins would be sa small that your business would very likely struggle from the start and possibly even fail right away. So your money would disappear quickly. I would suggest creating a small specially built system for a very specific market niche. What that specific niche is you will need to determine by your area and what people are buying. Say it was a gaming PC computer you found people in your area wanting. What you would need to do is see if you can effectively build a gaming system that is cheaper and has better specs than the big guys (Dell, etc). If you can t or you only make $20 it is not worth it. Find something else to do. I hope this helps you think it through. Good luck

if you have knowledge i would build 1, and maybe sell it around your town, or go and put it up on ebay. If u see people find it nice then make a website, and sell there. And to go abouve and beyond after a while build a shop

How Do I Start In The Music Business? -

Im Not Talkin about Performing or making music, YEt..im talking about making a radio station, or something like that, something in music..please help me out, its something i wanna do and once i start going to college, i will sing up for music classes, so ur help is apprecitated..P E A C E!

Hey Fawk,Generally speaking I can recommend against trying to build a radio station as there are so many huge players in that arena and getting the rights to broadcast are nightmarish. That said - you should absolutely run to the local college radio station as soon as you get to college and volunteer to work there if that s what you want to do. Radio is a difficult business but then again so is everything else in this economy. If your highschool has a student adviser you should hit this person up to see if you can t get an internship or a part time job even doing low end work for a local venue, club, radio station, promoter, booking agent whatever. If that doesn t work- find some band with promise and start managing them - you will get to know how hard it is first hand to break a band starting out at the local level and the understanding of that problem will give you a huge advantage over people who just take classes. If there is a big local band or group you like - ask to be there intern, drag their gear around in exchange for free tickets to their shows and introductions to the music business people they know. It s all who you know man...don t wait, go find a way to be involved - be willing to trade your time and hard work for a real business education by working in the field at the ground level.Be professional, network, get business cards from anyone and everyone you can (make your own too) and see what kind of hustle you can put together. Finding a bunch of musicians to manage isn t hard- finding a good group of musicians...well, that s another story but anything you do is experience you can twist and put on a resume.Good luck to you,Rick

Can anyone recommend a software for managing a consignment shop? -

I am assuming that you are using a computer with windows on it, so I have a few links to a safe place to download these free programs, it is from Cnet.download.com, I haven t tried these programs ( except for openoffice ) but they have high reviews and I would suggest giving the free software a try first, there are many good programs that you can get for free that may be able to meet or exceed all of your needs. ( Paying for something doesn t always guarantee it is better when it comes to software )Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2009http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-OfficinFlow Inventory Software Free Edition 1.2.3http://download.cnet.com/inFlow-InventorBillQuick Lite 2009 10.0.60http://download.cnet.com/BillQuick-Lite-Express Accounts 2.08http://download.cnet.com/Express-AccountI m not sure what you may already have on your computer, but if you need a program for text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, diagrams and etc. then I would recommend this:OpenOffice.org 3.1.0http://download.cnet.com/OpenOffice-org/I hope this is of some help to you, since all of these are free you can give them a try to see which one may best suit your needs, and just uninstall the ones you don t want.~ andrew

Have you seen any of these? (don t know, just trying to help). May God bless!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwhDlIfAthttp://www.consignmentshopsoftware.com/lhttp://consignmentsoftware.biz/Testimoni

Drop shipping from China? -

I am planning to drop ship using a supplier in china, will my customers be charged extra for custom duties and how can i avoid my products and customers from going through this? I am in the US

As I know, http://www.b2c-support.com, this online shop has drop shipping business, you just need to place the order and pay, they will ship the products, and they have two shipping methods, one is international flat airmail, this will cost you many days, maybe one month, to receive the products, but the good thing is that they label it as gift , so there is no tax or custom duty. and the other is express shipping, you can get your order soon, about one week, in this way, you need to pay some import tax when your parcel arrives at your country, but good news is that they will lower the price, so that the custom won t know the true price you paid, and you just need to pay less taxThat s all I know, for some details, you need to e-mail them to figure out.

Drop shipping from China is subject to custom duties on goods over a certain value, best bet is to instruct the drop shipper to mark all items as gifts on the customs form and to put a very low value (less than $10).But... if you are trying to defraud the American Government of duties you are of course breaking the law and will be subject to the harshest of punishments.

Where can i find websites or contacts for information/places to apply for graduate jobs in China? -

Im a 20 year old UK student working in Madrid at present but I intend to work in China for my graduate year if not a permanent position, so I need to know who is best to contact, what requirements are needed from me and just any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks JD

It depends on what kinds of jobs you want. If you are only want to spend a few months in China, I think the language training school is a good choice, like the Mew Oriental. If you can speak Chinese fluently, you can find some internship here. By the way, are you planning to study while work as well? Then, this could be a different story. I am a Chinese student in college myself. So, if you can give me information about you and your plan, I can give you more help. You can e-mail me your problem.

Best email for business purposes? -

I started a home based business but I find my Yahoo email account to be limited. What is a good email host? For example, I need autoresponder and the ability to send emails to 100 s of recipients.

You can upgrade your yahoo account or better yet if you have a web domain with Yahoo they can provide you an appropriate business email account with multiple addresses. Contact them about this for more details. Hope this helps

I think you just need to upgrade buddy..

I don t think free web base e-mail is going to cut it. Try using something like Constant Contact. Here s their website:http://www.constantcontact.com/index.jsp

I need to buy flat poly bags and to have them custom printed and I dont know where in Sacramento, Ca.? -

Lefty call 916 681-4800 they will ask you what is going in them, what size, do you have the artwork for what is to be printed, how many colors is the print needing to be, what thickness, if it has to be food grade (virgin polyethylene or the much clearer and crinkly, like cellophane, bi-oriented polypropylene) and lastly how many are you needing. Poly however is a commodity and sold by the ton, most bag printers want 100,000 and if your need is for, not quite so many, you might have to go with a stock size poly bag and print a label (like a decal) to adhere to it s exterior.

the business is the sister company to the one I actually work at. Report Abuse

Ebay Better to sell now or wait until the Holiday season? details:? -

I ve got a very hard to find discontinued product; almost impossible to find. Buyers are paying about double the retail due to it s rarity.Selling for about double the original retail, you can t buy this perfume any more it was highly popular then discontinued due to a lawsuit (similar design of bottle)The manufacturer will likely issue a similar product this holiday that will be affordable, and will not be discontinued.Holiday coincides with the release of another popular move (New Moon; Twilight series)Should I be greedy and wait for the holidays?or take the money and run?Due to the cost $100; i figure people will be kind of broke; that and being able to get the 2nd gen product that will be available with no limitations?

sell now.i say this because i deal with selling stuff on eBay as well and i ve learned that if you try to hold out for them couple extra bucks you can end up making less than what you would ve if you just let it go right away. strike while the iron is hot.

Is this is a good idea for online business? -

i thought about starting my own website answering peoples questions. and charge like a dollar for an answer. i know alot of useless info and i have access to lots of info. is this a good idea?

You should seriously consider revising your business plan/model. Offer the service for free and use targeted ads and affiliate programs on your site to earn money.

rather than setting up a website, why not set up a premium rate number that forwards to your cell, then advertise the fact that you can answer any question and when people call you will be making money from their calls rather than a $ per question answered on the web ;)

Considering your competition - yahoo answers - offers this service for free, it doesn t sound like a very viable idea. What would you offer that Y!A does not?

Well, you ll be competing with sites such as Yahoo Answers which give them away for free. So I doubt many people will pay for it.
