What is typical procedure for finding clients in your field that you can offer your services to? -

I don t have any personal ties to the Oil/Gas Industry but I would like to pick up small/medium size drafting projects. How can I get potential clients attention? My company, Pelican Energy Consultants, offers very competitive pricing and a broad scope of Engineering, Drafting, Consulting capabilities. You pretty much just need the Idea and we can take you from A to Z.

It s called SALES. You need someone who can cold call.

Anyone know of any work from home online legit business for a few extra bucks.? -

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online.

Work from home is tricky, you need to do a lot of work before you start- first you need to protect your SSN, next get a low credit credit card for whatever costs might come up, and make sure your computer is well guarded. The most important thing you can do it research- check your potential employer from top to bottom.I started looking three years ago and found a company with almost twenty five years of business experience, and a number of BBB awards so I was pretty sure they were legit.About the joining fees- some companies use them to off set the cost of their out going costs- you make up a couple DVDs, and glossy pamphlets, and those can cost you some serious bucks esp when you send out thousands. The cost also keeps those that are not serious out of doing the lookie lo thing. If you want I can send you the contact information on the company I work with.

How can i get a job in a music/drum store? -

I have no retail or work experience

You may have no work experience, but everyone has to start somewhere and if you have interest in one or more musical instruments, the accessories, the students (you could encounter in most stores) music books, instructional materials (CD s/DVD s) and/or specialized drumming, just apply!!!!! Tell them you will start at the bottom. You would be willing to work weekends and holidays and pick up extra shifts so you can obtain on-the-job training as quickly as possible. Above all be confident and go and get em tiger!

You could start by taking in a CV emphasising how enthusiastic you are about music. I doubt you would need too much work experience prior to working in a music store anyway. Good luck!

quot;starting hourly salary desiredquot;???? -

What should one put down when asked that when applying for a position as store clerk? It s her first job.

Negotiable. That answer works because it neither over-estimates the value of a first job employee nor under-estimates the value of the job.She should have an idea what the range of the job pay scale is when she gets to this point in the conversation. Say something like I understand that this type of position normally starts anywhere from $8 to $9 and and can go higher with experience. I think my reliability and other traits should put me somewhere near the middle or high end of this starting range.

Well it really depends on your experience, so you usually put down what their previous hourly wage was before. BUT since it s your first job, you can put open for discussion or write down whatever the minimum wage is in your area. You don t want to ask for too much because i m sure they can easily find someone else who can work for less.

Do not write the minimum wage in your state! They may pay more and will be glad to give you minimum wage if that s what you put down, my dad always told me to write going rate . So whatever they pay other similar employees you are fine with earning that much also.

She should put down whatever hourly salary is wanted, but it might not be a bad idea to do some undercover work and sort of ask an employee doing the kind of work for which the application is being made how they like working there and what they make per hour.

$1-2 dollars above minimum wage, thats if the business is doing well, if the business is hurting 50 cents to $1 is ok,

7.25 per hourthats minimum wage

Do you really need a VISA to sell things on Ebay? -

Is there any way to go around it?Why do they really need it?

No, you need a paypal account. There is no way around that. They tell you there is but both ebay and paypal are monopolies and telling someone that they can use other electronic means is like telling someone they can either go to Walmart or a lemonade stand. When you sign up for paypal they will act like they support credit cards but after they get you hooked, they will all but insist you use your bank account to fund it. From there you just pay ebay from paypal. It will be hard to use a Visa at that point. Paypal hates it when you use a credit card and the payment mechanism defaults to pay by bank account in a tricky way and you risk overdrawing your checking account if you do not pay close attention.

You don t necessarily need a visa to sell things on ebay. You do need a paypal account if you don t use a visa. You would then need a checking account. (which is all you need is a check card if you have a checking account you have a check card) (which is a visa) The paypal account is very helpful and free. but there are some small fees for the money part. I may be confusing you with so many different topics and things. But it is probably easier to have a visa to sell stuff on ebay. Just go open a checking account!!

no, you can use your atm card that has a visa or mastercard logo. they probably ask because for backup payment if your other payment fails. i use paypal that is connected to my atm card and then when i sell something, i can transfer the funds to my bank account.

Doesn t have to be Visa, It could be MC as well, or you can set up a Pay Pal Account.

Does anyone know of any work at home job ideas? -

I love being a stay at home mom and spending time with my daughter but i would like to be able to make a little bit of money. My husband makes enough to where i don t have to work but I just get so bored sometimes and wish I had more to do. I recently looked into Avon but was wondering if there s anymore jobs like that. I would love to be able to sell thinks like Avon. If anyone knows of anything please let me know. Thanks

You can only obtain legitimate work from home positions from brick and mortar companies. You want to send your resume out to companies hiring for positions you are qualified for, but include in your resume that you have a home office and you wish to work remotely. Include how you have your home office set up and what equipment you already have in order for you to perform your job. These jobs are just going to advertised as jobs, they would not promote them as work at home because they would hear from too many unqualified people.

Please dont listen to these people saying they are ALL SCAMS. They are not ALL scams, just MOST of them are, LOL. I am a single mom of 2 girls who has tried over 15 opportunities in the course of 2 years so I have some great information for you on how to find a LEGIT way to work from home plus a list of top 10 work at home scams! People are looking for work from home and the biggest problem is they dont understand that there really are NO WORK AT HOME JOBS. You will not find hourly pay from home. You can look forever, youll never find it. The only way to earn an income from home is to find a legit home business. Small home businesses have increased in the last 5 years by about 200%? People are really starting to realize that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. The best home businesses to start are those with a proven plan in place like Avon or Mary Kay however if you are like me, you are not interested in pushing products. Legitimate small home businesses should have a small costs involved but be careful, all the scams will be charging too so know the business. Talk to a REAL person and ask questions. Less than $500 to start is reasonable and I would stay away from those wanting $1000-$5000. If you are coming across places that say free then I would RUN dont walk the other way! They never are in the end. After trying 15 things I now work about 20-25 hours per week for a well known and respected company with amazing credentials. This company actually helps keep Americans Safe and Secure by offering Medical and Dental plans at affordable rates that anyone can afford. We also have SecureNet which helps Americans Protect their children in a program called National Child ID in partnership with the FBI. We also help Americans get back on top of their finances with Foreclosure Avoidance, Debt Relief, Credit Repair and more. We have over 10 programs ranging from $15 to only $40 a month per household which help Americans save many and stay safe. Americans have saved over 1 BILLION dollars with these plans.I started with this company 2.5 years ago and started making $500 a month within only a few months. That income has increased now to over $3000 a month which has been a blessing for my family. The best part is they have 401(k), direct deposit, life insurance and a benefits package from day one. There are NO products, NO hard selling or pushing, NO cold calling, NO home parties and no telemarketing! That was VERY important to me. I absolutely love working with them and I can t believe I am making what I am making and in so few hours per week. The neat thing is there are other people on your team that you work with so you are never alone even though youre at home. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I know a lot of companies are not legit but this companys credentials FAR SURPASSED any other home business I had ever seen. SOME of our NATIONAL partners and credentials are National Association of Dental Plans, Dunn and Bradstreet, Consumer Health Alliance, US Chamber of Commerce, Parent Magazine, US News and World Report, Dozens of Fortune 500 companies like Sears, Target, Walmart and Lenscrafters and Time Magazine. We are even currently being featured on WeTV, Lifetime and Oxygen. Most important, to solidify our legitimacy youll feel the utmost comfort in knowing that we are partnered with the FBI. No matter what you decide at least check it out, request a interview to get more information and at a MINIMUM read this list of top 10 work at home scams so you can protect yourself!10. Craft Assembly 9. Medical Billing 8. Email/Rebate Processing 7. A List of Companies Looking for Home workers! 6. Just pay for and take this class first Then well give or find you a job! 5. Envelope Stuffing 4. Turn Your Computer Into a Money-Making Machine! 3. Pyramid Schemes (this is NOT the same as Multi-Level Marketing MLM)2. Chain Letters/Emails ( Make Money Fast ) 1. Typing At Home / Data Entry (HUGE SCAM)As for those of you who say..I want to work from home but I dont want to have to pay for anything. Well, thats great! But it will never happen. Lets be honest, there is no such thing as a free lunch. If it is a true honest home business you need to expect to pay. Mr. Walt Disney didnt start the Disney empire without paying for anything. Neither did Mr. Sam Walton, owner of Wal-Mart.

Do I need to have a license to sell pastries out of my home, and what is the health department looking for? -

I just want to start up a very small side business see how it goes before I get all crazy getting licenses permits. Is it possible to start this way? What kind of license do I need to get? Does the health department come over, and if so, is it a deal breaker if I have two small dogs? What all are they concerned w/? Thanks!

I think it depends on location if you live in town you might have to apply to the city, out of town I don t think so.I do think the dogs are an issue,if you had an office dog or cat for an office it wouldn t but with food I can see it happening. My grandpa had a license as contractor operated out of his home and he lived in town so he had to get a city license. Can I sample your pastries?wink wink

You will have to check the Zoning code for the area you live in. Some say it s ok to sell as long as you don t post the business sign in the yard. My township will not allow me to sell anything out of my home without a permit, this includes services, such as alterations and computer repair. It s a safety issue more then anything else. They want to keep the public out of people s homes, generally.

you will need a separate commercial kitchen with specific types of counters and floors, sinks among other things and that s IF the zoning board even allows you to operate out of your house - if will probably costa lot more than you would ever make backstart with your towns business office and zoning office
