What is the best website for template letters? -

The company I work for is restructuring and there is to be redundancies. I want to send a letter to my employer/manager volunteering for redundancy.

Speak to your personnel department and ask them what the procedure is for voluntary redundancies. They probably have a form.

Here are a selection of sample business letters (ie. letter templates) that cover a variety of issues - http://www.small-business-software.net/sGoodluck

How old do you have to be to start a business? -

how old do you have to be to start a business?

that depends on the volume of your business:for doing neighborhood chores and grass cutting, snow shoveling etc for pocket $$, you can start as young as your parents/guardians allow.for setting up a proprietorship, LLC, or an S/C corporation as well as applying for an Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Tax identification Number (TIN) that s different from your SS# you need to be 18yrs old.

i don t think there is an age limit as long as you re capable of getting it started. however, if you want to start a new company that is it s own legal entity you might need to be old enough to fill out the paperwork.

i think it is don t have the relation with the age.....Now I only 24....but I have do the business of the jewelry for about 5-6 years....very well.....

Old enough to handle your own money, get a checking account, write a check, put an ad in the newspaper.

any age with prenatal consent 18 for most things tho

Have you so little business acumen that you need some one to do it for you? If true then suggest you will be in big trouble, so best to get a job in a business and learn how to do it.

Jonathan gives you good advice. Business partners are not always a good idea. There s always a dispute about something - usually money or the other one not doing all that he or she s supposed to. As Jonathan says, why would you want to share your business with someone else?It s better to bring in specific help for certain areas of expertise than give away 50% of your business. If you do go down the route of having a business partner, make sure you draw up a legally binding agreement about your respective roles and investment in the business no matter how well or how little you know them.Speak to your local Business Link about what you re planning to do. They ll guide you through setting it up and, if you need finance, they can help you with places to apply. Whatever you re doing, put together a business plan. It doesn t have to be a terribly formal document unless you do need funding. Again, Business Link is very helpful on the format for your business plan.Good luck!

Hi FoxieIf you haven t got a suitable business partner - ask yourself if you need one? What do you need one for anyway? If you have a business idea then do some planning and research and if it is a viable idea go for it. You might need to get people to help you ... but when you have your own business these are called employees! The trouble with a business partner is that it is a bit like getting married. You have to really trust each other, trust each other with money and trust each other to make the right decisions, trust each other to work hard-no matter what. If you haven t got a person you trust already then looking for and finding one is hard.On the other hand, if by business partner you really mean a money man or a business angel then there are a few places to look. Start by googling business angels. Speak to your accountant, check out business link. But before you do ask yourself why they should invest in you or your business? What s in it for them? Business Angels aren t really there for you, they are there for themselves and what they can get out of helping you to get your business off the ground.Jonathan

Can anyone help me start a PowerPoint presentation customization business? -

I am an online content promotion executive for a number of websites and have been developing a number of promotional ppts to promote a number of brands. I wish to start an independent PowerPoint customization business wherein I will take projects from clients and develop business presentations for them. How can i start? Who can give me my first project? Is there anyone who needs state-of-the-art presentations developed?

the demand is there. Advertise to get clientele.

I would start with the customers/clients that you already have. Leverage your existing relationships. They know your work, so let them know that you re expanding your offerings. Once you get one or two under your belt, use your skill set from content promotion to build your own website for your business. The great thing about the ppt idea is that you can work remotely for anyone, anywhere.
