Receptionist tips? Angry clients!? -

I work for a loan mod company. I am instructed to send (practically) all calls to voicemail. That wouldn t be a huge deal if the calls got returned but they don t. Then, I get yelled at by almost every other caller asking me why no one is returning their calls. All i can really do is take messages but these clients expect me to put a gun to the heads of my bosses and demanding a call back. What should i do? I want to help because I feel bad for the clients and I m sick of getting yelled at and cursed out.p.s. we are not a scam. We are just dreadfully understaffed.

Be honest, calm and courteous. Tell them that you are understaffed, and someone will eventually get back to them. Also, that you are not allowed answer their questions, and can only take messages. Some people will always yell even if you are calm and courteous. Unfortunately, that is part of your job, and they are only expressing their frustration. If the pressure gets too much, consider changing your job.

Is a retail Party Supply Store and A Party Rental Store two different businesses? -

I own a retail Party Supply Store, There is a local business contest in my town. The contest is to write a business plan for a new business and you can win 10 000 to open the new business. It needs to be a new business. I was thinking about starting a Party Rental business. But would it not be considered a new business because I already own a Party Supply Store? I do not have any rental inventory at the moment!

I think you have a good idea since a party supply store is more about selling the plates, balloons decorations for parties (consumables) and a party rental store would more likely rent tables, chairs, chaffing dishes, etc.(durable items). You are still going after the same market, which you are familiar with; however, you will be targeting a different segment. The business plan for a rental store is much different than a retail outlet. You need to consider the higher assets that will be required to have enough rental equipment to maximize your sales while not tying up too much capital during the off-season.

You can find lawn care businesses for sale on craigslist most likely. But the question you have to ask yourself is why?What does it take to make a few flyers and hand them out in your area. Start small with a push mower and see if you like doing it. You may but you might not and it s better taking small steps than handing over a lot of money to test it out.If you do decide to proceed with looking into buying this lawn care business there are a bunch of issues you need to consider.Here is one General rule of thumb for buying customers is that they are worth about 1 month revenue. What was the price?Consider how much new equipment costs and figure how much use the equipment has gone through. Have the machines inspected by a qualified mechanic. You do not want to waste money on junk. Forget the residential lawns. They might not sign a contract with you. In my opinion, the residential lawns are a null factor.

Is there a home business that is not a scam? -

I used to do one but it cost a lot of $, it seemed like a great company but no one could really afford it. It was just wasted money and caused problems with my husband. How much should I charge for babysitting? -

My rate is 7 dollars and hour, but the lady I babysit for pays me like i go my ten dollars and hour. If i were you I would say 6-7 dollars and hour, and if you spend the night, definitely 8 dollars an hour. Does that help?
