Buyer threatening feedback/report for quot;fakequot; item on eBay? -

Grr.. This has me really upset. I sell some fragrances. I have nearly 400 feedbacks. ALL are positive and not ONE is even neutral. I am a very honest seller obviously. Anyway, I had some Dolce and Gabbana on sale (boxed etc.) and she receives it and cries Fake fake fake! . She is threatening me (for no reason) and saying she wants a FULL refund and is going to open a fraud case against me and EVERYTHING.This really upsets me because there is no need for that. I am an honest seller and have NEVER had ONE complaint on ALL 200 D G perfumes that I sold. It s one thing if she wants a free product..but another to threaten me for a refund. What can I do? eBay doesn t seem to protect/care about sellers. And I am worried if she opens a file that they will freeze my account. I m not sure how that works to be honest. It sounds like she doesn t even want to send the item back. I have no idea what to do. This woman is not only threatening to completely ruin my positive feedback. She is saying she will open a fraud case against me! She is a liar and this is stressful to me because I don t even make money off selling those (maybe like $2 a bottle) and it s not worth the pain. But I just find it really upsetting. Someone like her could ruin the small steady income I use to barely scratch by in nursing school. I take it very seriously.I was thinking about reporting her and sending the header of her email to eBay...but what would that do? Then they will just start thinking I am a bad seller, etc. I m not sure.Someone help. What can I do to protect myself while resolving this? I told her I would refund her...but I would like the item to be returned. I have a feeling, from the tone of her previous email, that she will not be doing this.

I say it really isn t worth having a heart attack over. You can offer her a refund, or you can report her first to eBay. I think eBay might side with you, since you ve tons of good feedback.Side note: I know what you mean. I used to work as a freelancer on reverse auction sites. The buyers became very corrupt at the start of this year. I d do the work precisely as they wanted it, then they run off and try and get free service. One time they sided with one scumbag, and all the money that I earned goes back into his pocket, and a couple of other times I got paid, but they allowed him to leave unfair, false reviews. They wouldn t do anything about it.I had built a solid reputation on that site for a year, and just a couple of bad reviews did the trick to completely ruin my reputation. (The way their rating system is programmed doesn t help either.) So, instead of having 10 stars, it s now down to 3, just for a couple of idiots. I just decided to screw that site. They won t be getting any more commissions out of me!

I m a seller. I ve never gotten - feedback. But I figure that if you do enough sales, someone is going to get pi$$ed off.Offer her a refund if she returns the product. If she leaves - feedback you can leave a response. Beyond that, it s not worth pursuing or getting upset about.

The simple answer that I give in a situation like this is to make sure you have a return policy in your auction description. The few times I ve had a buyer return an item, I send a polite email to them, making sure they understand my refund policy, and ONLY after they ve returned it to me, will I give a refund. I also advise them to pay a little extra to get delivery confirmation, to prove it was returned to me. (I always get delivery confirmation when I ship an item to a buyer.)Don t refund until she returns it. You may get a negative, but you just can t give in to the threats.Good luck!
